Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Range Rover sells at auction for over £50,000

OHMYGOSSIP — A Range Rover used by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has sold at auction for £50,625 (£71,000).
The Range Rover Vogue SE SUV was given to Prince William and Duchess Catherine by the VIP Department of Land Rover in 2013. The SUV went under the hammer at the Bonhams in Bicester, Oxfordshire. After unsurprisingly attracting interest from as many royal as car enthusiasts, it ended up selling for £10,000 more than its estimate, and double the price a similar vehicle would retail for without a royal connection.
The Range Rover, is described as ‘Baltic Blue’ with ‘Almond’ and ‘Espresso’ leather interior, while the paint and leather has apparently been treated with protective products to guarantee their longevity. It was used by the couple on their tour of Scotland in 2014 and on a tour to Australia. However in it’s eight years of royal service the Range Rover has accumulated just 38,420 miles.
The auction house say that in most cases, Land Rovers and Range Rovers used by the royals are given a new vehicle registration number once they are out of service, so they can be resold without revealing the identity of their former owners. However, this is an exception to the rule, with the ‘OY13 TBU’ plate being the one used by William and Catherine. So as to safe guard the car’s identity, it doesn’t even appear on the DVLA’s vehicle checker website that allows owners to look up MOT and tax records of registered UK motors.
It’s not the only royal vehicle to go under the hammer recently as Princess Margaret’s Rolls Royce, which carried passengers including The Princess of Wales, Ronald and Nancy Reagan and The Queen, is also up for auction. Expected to fetch between £45,000- £55,000 ,the 1980 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith II was owned by the Queen’s late sister for 22 years.

Duchess Catherine’s hair was still so stylish during lockdown

OHMYGOSSIP — The Duchess of Cambridge styled her hair so well during lockdown that her own hairdresser’s services may no longer be required.
Royal crimper Richard Ward saw pictures of a particularly luscious-locked Catherine during lockdown owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, and was surprised at how good she’s become at doing her own hair.
According to the Eden Confidential column in the Daily Mail, Richard said of Duchess Catherine: “She’s just become really good at doing her own hair, like most people. I can tell you her good hair maintenance over lockdown wouldn’t have been because anyone has been to the palace to do it, I can assure you that!”
He went on to say that customers at his Sloane Square salon regularly ask him for styles like Catherine’s, because she has “aspirational hair”. Speaking about how often he gets asked to replicate styles to Catherine’s he said: “It’s asked for all the time, because she’s got aspirational hair.”
Meanwhile the same column also reports that one of the UK’s most popular drinks has lost it’s royal connection, after revealing that blackcurrants used for Ribena are no longer taken from The Prince of Wales’ Sandringham Estate, after Charles decided to go fully organic, which apparently means the fruit can no longer be grown at an affordable price.
Farm manager Keith Banham told the column: “We lost the blackcurrants because we could not grow them profitably on our soils. However, we’ve been growing wheat, barley, peas and oats in a conventional way forever at Sandringham and now we’re doing it organically.”
Despite blackcurrants for Ribena no longer being grown there, one thing that will soon be swooping over Sandringham are giant eagles, after Charles backed a proposal to reintroduce them to the UK. Plans have been made to release 60 giant eagles from Poland onto the Wild Ken Hill estate in Norfolk, which is just a matter of minutes away from Sandringham.

Kensington Palace to be cleaned up before Princess Diana statue unveiling

OHMYGOSSIP — Kensington Palace will be cleaned up ahead of the unveiling of a statue of the late Princess of Wales
According to the Sebastian Shakespeare column in the Daily Mail, officials have succeeded with an application to remove “dead wood” from the grounds of Princess Diana’s former home. Apparently 30 trees will be “pruned” and “chopped back” as part of the clean-up to ensure the venue looks its best for the unveiling in the summer.
Last year Kensington Palace reported that a statue, commissioned by Diana’s sons the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex, will be installed on July 1, on what would have been her 60th birthday. The statue of Diana- who died in a car crash in Paris in 1997- was commissioned by the William and Harry in 2017 to mark the 20th anniversary of their mother’s death and to “recognise her positive impact”. Kensington Palace previously said that installation of the sculpture had been delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic, but it will now be unveiled in the Sunken Garden later this year.
The statue has been designed by artist Ian Rank-Broadley, whose portrait of the Queen appears on all UK coins.
The Daily Mail also previously reported that while Prince Harry is due to attend the unveiling, his wife the Duchess of Sussex will likely not be joining him. The couple quit as senior royals last year and moved to Meghan’s native California with their son Archie and although Harry, 36, is expected back in the UK in June to attend a number of key royal events, it has been suggested that Meghan, 39, will remain in the US.
A source told the Daily Mail newspaper: “It should be strongly stressed that there is still an element of uncertainty about this because of the unpredictable COVID situation, but the understanding is the duke is more than likely to come back on his own.”

Prince Harry praised by The Me You Can’t See director: ‘Unique and special’

OHMYGOSSIP — The director of ‘The Me You Can’t See’ has said it was “unique and special” to have Prince Harry open up about his mental health.
The 36-year-old royal appeared on the Apple TV docuseries to discuss a range of topics – including his mental health, his journey into fatherhood, and his life as a member of the royal family – with Oprah Winfrey.
And now, Dawn Porter, who was one of the co-directors and producers of the series, has said it was a “privilege” to have Harry on the show.
Speaking to ET Canada, she said: “As a film director, anytime someone opens up to you, you realise it really is a privilege and it really is something – it means that people trust you. Putting it all together that way and being part of an intimate conversation with him, we realised how unique and special that was.”
Dawn also said the crux of the series – which also saw stars such as Lady Gaga and Glenn Close get candid about their struggles – are the hidden traumas and mental health issues people of all genders, socio-economic backgrounds, cultures, and race all face.
She added: “At the core, we are all so much more alike than we are different. Every single person in the world has experienced some form of mental stress. It may be on a continuum but our mantra during this whole series is ‘Everyone has a story.’”
In the series, Harry revealed he turned to drugs and alcohol to “mask” the pain he was feeling in his 20s.
He said: “I was willing to drink, I was willing to take drugs, I was willing to try and do the things that made me feel less like I was feeling.
“But I slowly became aware that, okay, I wasn’t drinking Monday to Friday, but I would probably drink a week’s worth in one day on a Friday or a Saturday night. And I would find myself drinking, not because I was enjoying it but because I was trying to mask something.”
And the prince – who has two-year-old son Archie with his pregnant wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex – also accused the royal family of “total neglect” when it comes to addressing mental health issues within the family.
Speaking about Meghan’s own battle with her mental health, Harry added: “I thought my family would help, but every single ask, request, warning, whatever, it is just got met with total silence, total neglect.
“We spent four years trying to make it work. We did everything that we possibly could to stay there and carry on doing the role and doing the job. But Meghan was struggling.”

Charles gets told off for forgetting his football boots

OHMYGOSSIP — The Prince of Wales was told off for not bringing his football boots on a visit to a local club in Northern Ireland.
Prince Charles was in County Tyrone and visited the village of Caledon where he met local community groups, including football league side Caledon Rovers. And it was during that particular visit that he met the side’s chairman Kevin O’Connor. And Kevin was clearly unimpressed that the 72-year-old royal hadn’t brought the right equipment to be able to show off his soccer skills.
Upon realising Charles had no appropriate footwear, Kevin jokingly informed the prince he’d be telling his mum, Queen Elizabeth.
He said: “I’ll have to write a letter to your mother telling her you didn’t bring them.” To which Charles hit back by jokingly accusing Kevin of hypocrisy after realising he wasn’t wearing football boots either.
Quick as a flash, the monarch replied: “I see you haven’t got yours on either!”
The trip to Caledon was the final leg of the couple’s two-day royal visit before Charles and his wife the Duchess of Cornwall headed back to England.
Yesterday (18/5/21) the royal couple attended Belfast City Hall, before speaking about youth services at the Education Authority’s headquarters.
Charles referred to the “risk” and “cost” of “holding on to peaceful ways” in the region.
He said: “We must never underestimate the risk, and the cost, of holding to peaceful ways, and how much determination and, actually, courage is necessary. When I visit this part of the world, I never cease to be profoundly moved by the work that is being done to heal the pain of the past, to bring understanding and reconciliation in the present and to build hope for the future.”

Prince Harry’s famous neighbours revealed

OHMYGOSSIP — The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s list of famous neighbours has been revealed
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s list of A-list neighbours in California has been revealed and reads like a who’s who of Hollywood heavyweights.
According to the Express.co.uk the Montecito neighbourhood in Santa Barbara, California where the couple currently reside with their two-year-old son Archie, has a rather eclectic list of local residents.
The pair are already known to have befriended chat show host Oprah Winfrey, and of course trusted Oprah to hold their first interview since stepping down as senior royals in March. But they were already forming relations prior, and last year Oprah said on social media that Duchess Meghan – who was formerly known as Meghan Markle whens she starred in ‘Suits’ – had sent her a sample of the vegan coffee brand she had invested in.
Taking to Instagram in December, Oprah said she had received a gift basket from “my neighbour M”, referring to Meghan.
Other celebrities who have homes in the area include actress Gwyneth Paltrow, comedian and chat show host Ellen DeGeneres, pop star Ariana Grande and singer-and-actress Jennifer Lopez, as well as ‘Star Wars’ director George Lucas. The likes of Kevin Costner and Natalie Portman are also local as are couple Ashton Kutcher and his wife Mila Kunis.
Another A-list couple in the region are Orlando Bloom and singer Katy Perry, with Prince Harry recently revealing he’d formed a bond with the ‘Lord of the Rings’ star with both keeping an eye out for undercover paparazzi.
Appearing on Dax Shepard’s ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast’, Harry said: “Two days ago Orlando Bloom sent me a message because he is just down the road and we sort of keep in contact because of the paparazzi.
“He sent me a photograph which his security got of this long-haired guy with a beanie on, ear pods on with his massive camera lying in the back of his 4×4 truck, blacked-out windows.
“A woman driving who did the peace sign sitting there as a distraction and he is laid down in the back of this truck taking photographs of them out with their kid.
“How is that normal, how is that acceptable?”

Princess Margaret’s chain-smoking newspaper scattering morning routine revealed

OHMYGOSSIP — The late Countess of Snowdon’s morning routine has been revealed.
Craig Brown’s book ‘Ma’am Darling’, sheds light on the habitual morning traits of the Queen’s sister, who died in 2002.
Apparently Margaret’s morning routine would start at 9am and she wouldn’t emerge from her room until gone midday- having read and scattered the day’s newspapers while “chain-smoking”.
The book says that after waking she would have “breakfast in bed, followed by two hours in bed listening to the radio, reading the newspapers (which she invariably left scattered over the floor) and chain-smoking.” Before eventually emerging from her room at 12.30pm when she would go downstairs for a “vodka pick-me-up”.
Brown also described Margaret who was known to be far more party-loving than her sister as “the world’s most difficult guest”. Who was “bossy, demanding, volatile and petty”. And conscientiously set people “at their unease”. She even apparently “exploited to the full the royal protocol of guests not being allowed to sit down to dinner, or leave, or even go to bed, until the royal party had done so themselves. Nor could anyone carry on eating after Margaret had stopped.”
Referring to her penchant for the high life, Brown insists Margaret was somewhat of a champagne socialist, adding: “She liked to run with a well-heeled artistic crowd, imagining it to be “bohemian” – though the true bohemia of the talented yet impoverished was unknown to her. Most of the “bohemians” she mixed with were successful ex-if-ever-bohemians: few would call Kenneth Tynan or Gore Vidal or Cyril Connolly or Noël Coward or Cecil Beaton or Sir Roy Strong bohemian.”
Her character was known for being far-removed from her sisters but Margaret believed that was why they manged to rub along so well.
She previously said of her relationship with her sister: “When there are two sisters and one is the Queen who must be the source of all honour and all that is good, the other must be the focus of the most creative malice, the evil sister.”

BBC to return BAFTA after inquiry into Princess Diana’s 1995 Panorama interview

OHMYGOSSIP — The BBC will return the BAFTA it won for Princess Diana’s 1995 ‘Panorama’ interview after an independent inquiry savaged the tactics used by reporter Martin Bashir.
Former Supreme Court Judge Lord Dyson concluded on Thursday (20.05.21) that Bashir used forged bank statements to secure access to the Princess of Wales in 1995, and said that the BBC was “woefully ineffective” in getting to the bottom of his wrongdoing at the time.
And in response to the findings, the BBC have agreed to give back the award it won for Best Television Talk Show for ‘Panorama Interview With HRH The Princess Of Wales’ at the 1996 BAFTAs.
In a statement, they said: “The 1995 ‘Panorama’ interview received a number of awards at the time. We do not believe it is acceptable to retain these awards because of how the interview was obtained.”
Dyson’s investigation also found that Bashir “deceived” his way to the interview that made his name, while the BBC “fell short of the high standards of integrity and transparency which are its hallmark”.
BBC director general Tim Davie said in a statement: “Although the report states that Diana, Princess of Wales, was keen on the idea of an interview with the BBC, it is clear that the process for securing the interview fell far short of what audiences have a right to expect. We are very sorry for this. Lord Dyson has identified clear failings.
“While today’s BBC has significantly better processes and procedures, those that existed at the time should have prevented the interview being secured in this way. The BBC should have made greater effort to get to the bottom of what happened at the time and been more transparent about what it knew. While the BBC cannot turn back the clock after a quarter of a century, we can make a full and unconditional apology. The BBC offers that today.”
Whilst Bashir also acknowledged his error of judgement in his own statement.
He said: “This is the second time that I have willingly fully co-operated with an investigation into events more than 25 years ago. I apologised then, and I do so again now, over the fact that I asked for bank statements to be mocked up. It was a stupid thing to do and was an action I deeply regret. But I absolutely stand by the evidence I gave a quarter of a century ago, and again more recently.”

Queen Elizabeth’s dorgi puppy dies age five months

OHMYGOSSIP — Queen Elizabeth’s new dorgi puppy has died.
The 95-year-old monarch was gifted the pooch, named Fergus, when her husband Prince Philip – who died in April at the age of 99 – fell ill and was taken to hospital earlier this year.
And now, just over a month after the passing of the Duke of Edinburgh, the Queen is also mourning the death of Fergus, after he passed away over the weekend at just five months old.
A Windsor Castle source told The Sun newspaper: “The Queen is absolutely devastated. The puppies were brought in to cheer her up during a very difficult period. Everyone concerned is upset as this comes so soon after she lost her husband.”
The monarch was gifted Fergus alongside another dorgi – which is a cross between a dachshund and a corgi – named Muick by her son, Prince Andrew, in February.
At the time, the Queen was said to be delighted with the new arrivals, as she had been left with just one dorgi, Candy, since fellow pooch Vulcan passed away last November.
Another source had said: “The Queen is delighted. It’s unthinkable that the Queen wouldn’t have any corgis.
“It’s like the Tower of London not having any ravens. They have only been there a couple of weeks but are said to be adorable and made the castle their home.
“Both are said to be bringing in a lot of noise and energy into the castle while Philip is in hospital.”
Fergus and Muick were the first dogs owned by the queen that are not direct descendants of Susan, the dog she received for her 18th birthday in 1944.
The monarch hasn’t had a corgi since 2018, after 14th-generation descendant Willow was put to sleep in April of that year after contracting a cancer-like illness and another dog, Whisper, died six months later.
In 2015, the queen stopped breeding dorgis prompting speculation she’d never get another pet, reportedly because she was concerned about them being a trip hazard as she got older, or that they’d be left behind when she died.

Lady Victoria Hervey predicts the collapse of the Sussexes’ marriage

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Victoria Hervey believes the Duke and Duchess of Sussexes’ marriage won’t last because they didn’t date for long enough before tying the knot.
The 44-year-old socialite also suggests she predicted Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s move to the US – which she believes would have been Meghan’s idea.
She told Closer magazine: “I think Harry and Meghan’s courtship was way too short. I just don’t see it lasting. I remember just before their wedding, I thought, “They’ll get married, have a few kids… And she will end up wanting to be in America”.”
Lady Victoria is the daughter of the 6th Marquess of Bristol and briefly dated the Duke of York in 1999.
Prince Harry previously said that he knew the duchess was “special” on their second date.
The 36-year-old royal embarked on a romance with the then-‘Suits’ actress in 2016 and he admitted they felt an instant connection and were very “comfortable” with each other right from the start of their relationship.
Asked when he knew “Meghan was the one”, he told ‘Late Late Show’ host James Corden: “The second date, I was starting to think, ‘Wow this is pretty special’.”
The couple – who married in May 2018 – only went public with their romance a year after they got together, which Harry explained is typical of royal relationships as things are “flipped upside down” and are “done back to front”.
He said: “Dating with me, or with any member of the royal family I guess, is kind of flipped upside down. So everything was done back to front with us. We got to spend an enormous amount of time just the two of us, rather than going to friends’ houses or out for dinner where there were other distractions. There were no distractions, and that was an amazing thing. We went from zero to 60 in the first two months.”

Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s charity CEO to quit

OHMYGOSSIP — The chief executive of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Royal Foundation will quit at the end of the year.
Jason Knauf, who was also communications secretary to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, has been with the Royal Family for seven years, but is believed to be leaving because his husband has got a diplomatic job overseas. Prince William and Duchess Catherine have expressed their gratitude for his “hard work and commitment”.
In a joint statement they said: “Jason has been an integral part of our team since 2015. We are immensely grateful for his hard work and commitment, both at the Royal Foundation and previously as our Communications Secretary. Since taking over as chief executive, Jason has driven positive change, making our vision for our charitable work and the causes that matter most to us a reality. We are sad to see him go but wish him all the very best in his future career. We look forward to launching the recruitment search shortly and welcoming a new chief executive later on this year.”
And in his own statement Jason said how privileged he feels to have worked alongside William and Catherine, he said: ‘Working with The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has been the privilege of my career. I will always be grateful for the opportunity I have had to support their leadership in the UK and internationally. The months ahead will be the busiest time in the Foundation’s history with the first awards for The Earthshot Prize and more progress on our early childhood work. We have a lot to do with our amazing team and all of our partners.”
Jason has had a major involvement in many projects alongside William and Catherine. He worked on Earthshot Prize, a global prize for the environment, which aims to incentivise change and help to repair the planet. He was also pivotal in the foundation’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Prince Philip honoured with new stamp collection

OHMYGOSSIP — Royal Mail are releasing four new stamps in honour of the Duke of Edinburgh.
A collection of four black and white images of Prince Philip – who died last month aged 99 – depict him in various stages of his life, and royal collectors will be able to get their hands on the mini sheet for £6.65 from 24 June.
A 2nd class stamp bears a photo of Philip as a young man which was taken by the photographer Baron, whose real name was Sterling Henry Nahum, while the 1st class stamp has a picture from 1980, when the prince attended the passing out parade of his son Prince Andrew at Dartmouth Naval College in Devon.
Completing the set is a £1.70 stamp of the duke at the Royal Windsor Horse Show, and the most expensive of the four, a £2.55 stamp bearing a portrait by Terry O’Neill.
Simon Thompson, chief executive of Royal Mail, said: “Throughout adulthood, the Duke of Edinburgh dedicated himself to the service of this country, the Commonwealth and to the many causes he was involved with.
“For more than seven decades he was at the centre of our national life. His passing is a key moment in our history which we mark with this set of commemorative stamps.”
Philip – who had been married to Queen Elizabeth for 73 years – passed away “peacefully” at Windsor Castle on the morning of 9 April, just a few weeks after being hospitalised with an infection and heart condition.
A statement from Buckingham Palace at the time said: “It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.”
Despite his health problems in the months prior to his death, Philip’s passing was registered as being due to old age.
The stamps and a range of collectible products are available now to pre-order from www.royalmail.com/dukeofedinburgh

Buckingham Palace request doctored image of Queen be removed from Trump bus

OHMYGOSSIP — Buckingham Palace has requested that an image of Queen Elizabeth wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat be removed from the side of a campaign bus.
According to Buzzfeed News, a Palace spokesperson confirmed that they are aware of the doctored image being used on the side of a bus promoting Donald Trump’s re-election, and have made a formal request asking for its removal.
The spokesperson told the site that “representations asking for removal (of the photograph) have been made”.
Other recognisable names who have doctored images on the bus include late fellow former president Ronald Regan in a “Trump” baseball cap, and actor Sylvester Stallone, in arguably his best-known role as boxer Rocky Balboa, with Trump’s head superimposed onto Rocky’s body.
The bus, which is called the ‘Trump Train’ is owned by Trump supporter Buddy Hall, and was regularly seen at pro-Trump events during his ill-fated re-election campaign.
Buddy, is reported to have told Buzzfeed News that while he’s yet to hear from the Palace personally, he’s already made plans to take it off.
Buzzfeed News quotes him as saying: “I’m taking it off anyways,”
Buckingham Palace wouldn’t be the first to take issue with an association with Trump. Singer Neil Young said: “This is NOT ok with me,” after his track ‘Rockin’ In The Free World’ was used by the former president on the day he announced his presidential candidacy in 2015. Late musician Tom Petty’s family also issued a cease-and-desist notice to Trump after the campaign used his track ‘I Won’t Back Down’ at a rally. And the Rolling Stones threatened to sue after their song ‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want’ was used at a rally in Oklahoma. The estate of Prince, Rihanna and Guns N’ Roses are among others acts to have taken issue with their music being used as part of Trump’s campaign.

Princess Charlotte tells people she’s 16

OHMYGOSSIP — Princess Charlotte is growing up fast and claims “she’s 16” whenever someone asks her age, her father, the Duke of Cambridge has revealed.
Prince William admits his daughter – who turned six on Sunday (02.05.21) – is very confident and jokes she is already a teenager.
He said: “If you ask her, she says she’s 16 … Charlotte says, ‘I’m six now, I’ll do what I want’ …They grow up very fast.”
William also discussed Charlotte’s recent birthday celebration, adding that she’d had a far more enjoyable birthday this year as an easing of lockdown measures meant they could at least have one other family join them.
Asked if she had a lovely birthday, William replied: “She did thank you very much, yes. Unfortunately for her obviously last year there was no birthday party because of lockdown but this year we had one other family, so that was it. So it wasn’t a party as such but we made it as fun for her as possible.”
Charlotte is the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s only daughter. They also have Princes George, seven, and Louis, three.
William was speaking at Babcock International Vehicle Engineering in Walsall, who were praised for managing to keep their production going during lockdown by using COVID-19 safe systems. They were also involved in the design process for NHS ventilators.
While in the Midlands, William also met some of the players from the football team he supports, Aston Villa. He visited their Warwickshire training to officially open their new £6 million high performance centre. During the visit he showed his support for his team, who play in claret and blue, by wearing a blue suit and facemask with a claret jumper. While there he spoke to some of his favourite players, including the Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.

Prince William and Prince Harry won’t walk together at Prince Philip’s funeral

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William and Prince Harry will not walk together at Prince Philip’s funeral on Saturday (17.04.21).
The Duke of Edinburgh – who passed away last week at the age of 99 – is set to be laid to rest this weekend in a scaled down ceremony of just 30 guests, and it has now been confirmed that brothers William and Harry will not be stood next to each other when they walk behind their grandfather’s coffin.
Instead, the siblings – who are the sons of Prince Charles, the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip – will be separated by their cousin, Peter Phillips.
Buckingham Palace said they would not be drawn on any “perceptions of drama” which may be taken from the order of procession, as senior royals walk first behind the coffin.
Since Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, chose to step down as senior royals last year, he will not walk at the front of the procession with his older brother, who is second in line to the throne behind his father, Prince Charles.
A spokesperson said: “The arrangements have been agreed, and they represent Her Majesty’s wishes.”
The news comes as it was also confirmed by the Palace that no military uniforms will be worn by royals, as is usually traditional at a ceremonial royal funeral such as the duke’s, with royals entitled to wear the ceremonial uniforms of the honorary military ranks bestowed on them.
A palace spokesperson said: “Members of the royal family will be wearing morning coat with medals or day dress. That’s to say members of the royal family will not be in military uniform.”
Prince Charles and Princess Anne will lead family members walking behind the coffin as it travels from the castle to the chapel within the grounds in an eight-minute long procession.
They will be followed by their siblings, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward, before the Queen and Philip’s grandchildren.
Inside the chapel, as a bearer party of Royal Marines carry the coffin to the catafalque, William will walk next to Peter Phillips and ahead of his brother Harry.
The 30-strong congregation will all wear masks inside St George’s chapel, and sit two metres apart from those outside their household or support bubble.
It’s also thought that the Queen, 94, will sit by herself in line with the government guidelines amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
