The 35-year-old royal and his brother Prince Harry, 32, paid a visit to the Support4Grenfell Community Hub in Kensington on Tuesday (06.08.17), which they help set up after the blaze tore through the block of flats in west London killing over 70 people.
Both William and Harry have spoken in recent months about how they struggled to talk about the death of their mother Princess Diana for years after she was killed in car crash in Paris in August 1997.
William met Andreia Gomes, who escaped the burning building with her husband Marcio, but tragically lost her son to a stillbirth after the fire, at the centre and told her two daughters how important it is not to keep their grief to themselves.
He told them: “Talk about your loss, promise me.”
The girl’s father has praised William and Harry for their support and the invaluable advice he gave his children.
According to E! News, Marcio said: “The princes were amazing. They really knew what they were talking about. You could see that they meant what they were saying.
“They have seen so many families impacted by the tragedy, and they know what they are going through.
“Everyone grieves in different ways. It is important that when someone is in pain that they have someone to talk to – not just next month, but next year or the year after.”
The royal siblings day wasn’t finished there, they then headed to Al-Manaar, the Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre, which was one of the first to respond to the incident, to see the work they are doing still to provide counselling and care to those who lived in the flats.

Prince Harry told to ‘wipe his feet’ by daughter of Army veteran

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry was told to “wipe his feet” by the five-year-old daughter of an Army veteran before entering their family home on Monday (04.09.17).
The 32-year-old royal bent down to shake Lilly-Anne Flores’ hand when she kindly asked that he used their door matt before coming inside.
Harry was in Newton Heath in Manchester, North England to meet with Lily’s father Simon Flores, who lost his foot after it was blown to pieces in the Iraq war in 2006.
Newton Heath is a Veterans’ Village for former servicemen and women who have been left injured after serving their country.
Simon said he was hoping his children would “overwhelm” the prince because he was so nervous about meeting him, and they did just that.
According to Manchester Evening News, Simon said: “I was nervous to meet him, I was sweating all day. I wanted the children to overwhelm him and they did.
“He was made up with them and was having pictures with them. He loves kids, it was brilliant.”
Simon had been planning on entering Harry’s Invictus Games in Toronto, Canada this year, but had to pull out after sustaining a shoulder injury.
However, the flame-haired hunk – who set up the Paralympic-style multi-sport event in 2014 – encouraged him to continue training and he took on the advice.

He said: “We had a chat about everything really.
“I was training for the Invictus Games but injured my shoulder and had to pull out of it.
“He told me to start training again and I actually start again tomorrow.
“It was an honour to meet him, not just because he’s royalty, but because he’s been there, experienced it and seen it.
“So he knows where we are coming from and can relate.
“He has seen his fair share of drama over there. I think a member of the Royal family who has seen that stuff, has the utmost respect from me. He’s a brilliant guy.”

Princess Mako gets engaged to commoner

OHMYGOSSIP — Japan’s Princess Mako has got engaged to a commoner.
The 25-year-old royal – who is the eldest daughter of Prince Akishino and his wife Princess Kiko – revealed on Sunday (03.09.17) that she is to marry Kei Komuro, who she met whilst studying at Tokyo’s International Christian University, after getting her grandfather Emperor Akihito’s blessing.
However, choosing to tie the knot with someone outside of the royal family means that Mako will have to give up her royal status – a Japanese imperial law which only applies to females.
In a statement, the brunette beauty said: “I was aware since my childhood that I’ll leave a royal status once I marry.
“While I worked to help the emperor and fulfil duties as a royal family member as much as I can, I’ve been cherishing my own life.”
Mako and Kei have been dating for five years and were long-distance while Mako studied in the UK.
During a press conference over the weekend, Mako said it was her fiancé’s “bright smiles” that first attracted her to the 25-year-old legal assistant.
She said: “First I was attracted by his bright smiles like the sun.”
The student said her lover is a “sincere, strong-minded, hard worker” who has a “big heart”.
Kei is believed to have proposed some time ago, but the official announcement was called off after western Japan was flooded.
The wedding is expected to take place next year, but in-keeping with Japanese tradition several rituals will take place before the big day.
Mako also said that she is keen to create a loving home for her husband, but that they are not thinking about starting a family just yet.
She said: “Having a family goes beyond my imagination, but I hope to make one that is warm, comfortable and filled with smiles.”

Meghan Markle overwhelmed by increased spotlight

OHMYGOSSIP — Meghan Markle is “overwhelmed” by the attention on her relationship to Prince Harry.
The 36-year-old beauty’s former ‘Suits’ co-star Max Topplin has revealed just how much pressure the actress is under as she gets to grips with being girlfriend to a member of the royal family.
However, the 27-year-old actor – who played Harold Gunderson in the USA Network legal drama – says Meghan is madly in love with the 32-year-old hunk and that’s all that matters.
He told New Idea magazine: “She’s an actress, this isn’t what she signed up for anyway … this is like a whole new ballpark.
“But I know she’s really happy, I know she’s just embracing this new world for herself and I know she loves the guy.”
Meghan and Harry celebrated the brunette beauty’s 36th birthday last month with a three-week getaway to Africa, which included a £1,200-a-night stay at the luxurious Tongabezi Lodge in Zambia along the Zambesi river.
Speculation contiunes to grow that the pair have got engaged or Harry is preparing to pop the question soon.
The couple have been in a relationship since last November and, although some insiders thought a proposal would come last month, former royal chef Darren McGrady recently said a Christmas proposal is much more likely.
Darren said in August: “I really do think they would have been engaged by now. But Princess Diana’s 20th anniversary this month in August, they can’t trump that. And then November is the Queen and Prince Philip’s platinum wedding anniversary so they can’t trump that either, whereas December they can announce the engagement and they’d be free to marry next year; I think that’s what’s going to happen.”
The former cook – who served the late Princess Diana and her two sons Harry and William – added that if the flame-haired royal does propose in December, it would mean the couple would be able to join the royal family for their traditional Christmas celebrations.

Prince Harry treated Meghan Markle to £1,200-a-night stay at African resort

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry treated girlfriend Meghan Markle to a stay at a £1,200-a-night African resort to end their romantic break.
The 32-year-old royal has been in a relationship with the ‘Suits’ actress since last year, and showed things are getting serious between the pair when he splashed out on a three-week getaway for the brunette beauty’s 36th birthday last month, which ended in Zambia along the Zambesi river at the luxurious Tongabezi Lodge.
The property has under 30 guests staying at once, features a floating restaurant and Honeymoon suites called Honeymoon House and Nut House, though staff are unable to say whether the lovebirds stayed in one of the special marital rooms.
A guide told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “We treat everyone the same. It doesn’t matter if you’re Prince Harry or anyone else.
“We knew someone important was coming to stay last week but I didn’t know it was the Prince until they arrived.
“The Honeymoon House and the Nut House are the ones usually used by couples but I’m afraid I’m not at liberty to let you know which one they used.
“Couples who visit us usually stay in one of those and then spend a night or two at our rooms on an island in the river, which is only accessible by boat. We have several different rooms here at Tongabezi – the family units are different from what a honeymooning couple would want, for example.”
If the couple chose to dine on the floating restaurant, it would have been just the two of them.
The attendant said: “It has a table for two. Staff then use a small boat to bring out drinks, starters, main course and dessert. It’s always very popular and booked up in advance.” The buffet breakfast, however, is served inside so that monkeys can’t get it.”
While it is reported that the pair went rafting down the river, enjoyed a helicopter ride and visited a private island, the general manager Rudy Boribon was unable to make any comments regarding their itinerary.
He said: “I’m sorry but I won’t comment on it as it’s private.”

Queen Elizabeth at Balmoral for Diana anniversary

OHMYGOSSIP — Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles were at Balmoral for the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death.
The 91-year-old monarch, Prince Philip and their son – who was married to the late Princess of Wales for 15 years from 1981 to 1996 – were spotted driving separate Range Rovers at the royal’s Scottish residence on Thursday (31.08.17).
The royal trio were seen driving a convoy of the vehicles but it’s not known of Charles’ wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, is also at Balmoral.
Mourners paid tribute to Diana – who died on August 31 1997 in Paris following a car crash – at her former Kensington Palace home and online, including her friend Sir Elton John.
He shared a picture of the pair on Instagram and wrote: “20 years ago today, the world lost an angel. #RIP @ejaf (sic)”
The queen was at Balmoral with Diana’s sons, Princes William, 35, and Harry, 32, when she died, and the monarch was slammed by some for remaining at her Scottish residence immediately after the princess’ death.
But William recently insisted it was a tough decision for their grandmother to make.
He said: “I think it was a very hard decision for my grandmother to make. She felt very torn between being a grandmother to William and Harry and her queen role.
“Everyone was surprised and taken aback by the scale of what happened and the nature of how quickly it happened, plus the fact that she had been challenging the Royal Family for many years beforehand.”
He recently revealed the queen removed all newspapers from the house to ensure he and Harry, who were 15 and 12 at the time, wouldn’t read any news reports about their mum and would have “privacy to mourn”.
He explained: “At the time my grandmother wanted to protect her two grandsons, and my father as well.
“Our grandmother deliberately removed the newspapers so there was nothing in the house at all so we didn’t know what was going on.
“And back then, obviously, there were no smartphones or anything like that so you couldn’t get your news, and thankfully at the time to be honest, we had the privacy to mourn and collect our thoughts and to have that space away from everybody.
“We had no idea that the reaction to her death would be quite so huge.”

Cindy Crawford: Princess Diana was a class act

OHMYGOSSIP — Cindy Crawford says speaking to Princess Diana was like “talking to a girlfriend”.
The 51-year-old supermodel paid tribute to the late Princess of Wales – who passed away 20 years ago yesterday (31.08.17) – admitting she was a “class act”, and recalled the late royal once rang her personally to arrange a surprise visit for Prince William and Prince Harry.
In a post on Instagram, complete with a picture of herself standing next to Diana, Cindy wrote: “Remembering this inspiring woman today. This photo was taken at Kensington Palace. Princess Diana had somehow got the number to my office and called herself to ask for me. My assistant was in shock! We finally connected and she asked if the next time I was in London I would come by for tea — I think Prince William was just starting to notice models and she thought it would be a cute surprise for him and Prince Harry. I was nervous and didn’t know what to wear, but remember as soon as she came into the room and we started talking, it was like talking to a girlfriend. She was a class act and showed us all what a modern day princess should be. Rest In Peace #PrincessDiana. #TBT (sic)”
William recently revealed his mother invited Cindy, Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell round for tea one day as a surprise – and he was left red-faced because he had posters of the three supermodels on his wall.
He said: “She organised when I came home from school to have Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell waiting at the top of the stairs, I was probably a 12 or 13-year-old boy who had posters of them on his wall.
“I went bright red, and didn’t know quite what to say and sort of fumbled and I think pretty much fell down the stairs on the way up. I was completely and utterly awestruck. That was a very funny memory that’s lived with me forever.”
