Meghan Markle bonds with Victoria Beckham

OHMYGOSSIP — Meghan Markle has bonded with Victoria Beckham over her beauty salon recommendations.
The ‘Suits’ star is moving to London to be with her fiancé Prince Harry and the 43-year-old fashion designer has reportedly been sharing her favourite beauty and hair salons in the capital.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Meghan has been really pleased with Victoria’s beauty recommendations and has her to thank for meeting new friends in London.
“They have grown close and regularly text after Victoria told Meghan to visit Sarah Chapman, who bills herself ‘London’s most sought-after facialist’. Meghan trusts and appreciates her advice. She is even thinking about using Victoria’s hairdresser over the Christmas period.”
It comes after a source revealed Victoria wants to design Meghan’s wedding dress for when she ties the knot with the flame-haired royal at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle in May 2018.
The insider shared: “Victoria’s dream is to design Meghan’s wedding dress – and she’s determined to achieve it. Victoria is a very savvy businesswoman. She knows that getting Meghan on board early on would be an all-round winner for her and her brand – it would be as good as receiving the royal seal of approval on her designs.”
Prince Harry and Meghan announced they had set a wedding date with a statement last month.
Kensington Palace said: “The marriage of His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales and Ms. Meghan Markle will take place at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle in May 2018. Her Majesty The Queen has granted permission for the wedding to take place at the Chapel. The Royal Family will pay for the wedding. Further details about the wedding will be announced in due course.”

Queen Elizabeth’s understanding

OHMYGOSSIP — Queen Elizabeth’s family connection to the navy has helped her “recognise the unique demands” of naval officers.
The British monarch says that as a “daughter, wife and mother of naval officers”, she has understood first hand about how this tough job affects servicemen or women’s families.
She said: “We are gathered here in Portsmouth today just a short distance from HMS Victory – a flagship of our seafaring past and a reminder of the debt we owe to the Royal Navy, which for more than five hundred years has protected the people of this country and our interests around the world. Like HMS Victory, HMS Queen Elizabeth embodies the best of British technology and innovation – a true flagship for the 21st century. The most powerful and capable ship ever to raise the White Ensign, she will, in the years and decades ahead, represent this country’s resolve on the global stage.
“At the forefront of these responsibilities will be the men and women of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines, supported by the Army, Royal Air Force, and by coalition partners. As the daughter, wife and mother of naval officers, I recognise the unique demands our nation asks of you; and I will always value my special link with HMS Queen Elizabeth, her ship’s company and their families.”
The 91-year-old monarch ended her speech by wishing all those well that would sail on HMS Queen Elizabeth in the future.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony of HMS Queen Elizabeth, she added: “As you prepare to take this country’s message of peace, partnership and prosperity across the seas and oceans of the world, The Lord High Admiral, The Duke of Edinburgh, joins me in wishing you well in all your endeavours.”

“Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child. The Queen and both their families are delighted with the news.

Daisy Ridley: Harry would be the better Stormtrooper

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Ridley thinks Prince Harry would make the best Stormtrooper.
The ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ actress – who plays Rey in the science fiction franchise – thinks the flame-haired royal would be a great soldier for the Galactic Empire.
When asked at the premiere of ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ who would be the best stormtrooper out of Prince William and Prince Harry, she said: “I cannot comment on whether the princes are stormtroopers or not [but I think it would be] Harry [who’s the best].”
It comes after Daisy’s co-star John Boyega – who plays reformed stormtrooper Finn – revealed he shared a scene with the royals where they were “wrapped in stormtroopers costumes”.
He also said it was “a great experience” working with the royals and said it was a “strange contrast of a weird family”.
Of the pair’s scene in the movie, a source told the Mail on Sunday newspaper recently: “The Princes dressed up in full Stormtrooper gear and filmed a scene in which Rey and Finn infiltrate a secret base. The rebel characters are in a lift with Benicio Del Toro’s character when a group of Stormtroopers enter – two of them are William and Harry. One of them, either William or Harry, slaps Benicio’s bottom. The new film is packed with laughs and that scripted scene was supposed to bring the house down. But no one knows if that scene made the final cut.”

Prince George and Charlotte to walk down the aisle at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince George and Princess Charlotte will walk down the aisle at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding.
The children of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are likely to play a part in the engaged couple’s upcoming nuptials, which are expected to be very “modern”.
Grant Harrold, etiquette expert and former butler to Prince Charles and Camilla, said: “Princess Charlotte is a prospect in the bridal party and Prince George. The baby will only be a few weeks old at the point. I think Meghan will opt for a traditional bridal party, but she’ll want to do it in a modern way with their own influences.”
The wedding will take place in St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle in May and the couple are thought to be very involved with the planning for the big day.
Harrold added to Express.co.uk: “With a big royal wedding of course there is a lot of tradition and protocol. But when it’s a private and smaller affair, especially with the reception, Harry and Meghan can plan more what they want.
“They are two very young royals, they’ll have their own music and entertainment they enjoy. They will very much be involved in the planning.”
Kensington Palace announced in a statement that Prince Harry and Meghan were to wed at St George’s Chapel.
A statement read: “The marriage of His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales and Ms. Meghan Markle will take place at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle in May 2018. Her Majesty The Queen has granted permission for the wedding to take place at the Chapel. The Royal Family will pay for the wedding. Prince Harry quits smoking for Meghan Markle

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry has reportedly quit smoking for Meghan Markle.
The flame-haired royal is said to have stopped the habit as he wants the house he shares with the ‘Suits’ star to be “nice” for Meghan, who is a non-smoker.
A source told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: “Harry has promised no smoking at all at home. It’s not nice for Meghan as a non-smoker. So there’s no more hanging out of the window for a quick puff. Harry has quit for Meghan.”
It comes after Prince Harry proposed to Meghan during a “cosy night” in in early November.
Meghan said: “It was a cosy night, we were roasting chicken … and it was an amazing surprise. It was so sweet and natural and very romantic. He got on one knee … Yes! As a matter of fact, I could barely let [Harry] finish proposing.”
And Prince Harry added: “She didn’t even let me finish. She said ‘Can I say yes’. Then there were hugs and I had the ring in my finger. I was like ‘ Can I give you the ring?’ It was a really nice moment. Just the two of us.”
The pair’s relationship has been described as a “whirlwind” but they don’t see it that way themselves.
The brunette beauty added: “I don’t think that I would call it a whirlwind in terms of our relationship. There have been layers attached to how people it has become, after we had a good five, six months almost with just privacy, which was amazing. I think we were able to have so much time just to connect and we never went longer than two weeks without seeing each other even though we were obviously doing a long distance relationship. We made it work.”

Meghan Markle to spend Christmas with Prince William and Duchess Catherine

OHMYGOSSIP — Meghan Markle will spend Christmas with Prince William and Duchess Catherine.
The ‘Suits’ actress is reportedly set to spend the festive period with her fiancé Prince Harry and her future brother and sister-in-law and their children, Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: “They’ll be William and Kate’s guests and travel back and forth with them.”
It is believed the engaged couple will join the rest of the family on Christmas Eve with Queen Elizabeth at Sandringham and then will stay with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at their home of Amner Hall in Norfolk.
They are expected to start their Christmas Day with a traditional English breakfast before going to attend the church service at St. Mary Magdalene Church, followed by some Christmas lunch. Later, they will watch the Queen’s speech and when the Princes have to go and partake in their royal duties on Boxing Day, Meghan and Catherine – who is expecting her third child – will keep each other company at home.
Meanwhile, it had previously been reported that Meghan could be the first royal fiancée to spend Christmas with Queen Elizabeth before the royal couple jet back to the United States to spend New Year’s with Meghan’s family.
It is said that usually the royal family only accept married couples to join them for Christmas but are making an exception this year for Prince Harry and Meghan.

Prince William and Harry announce Diana statue sculptor

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William and Harry have selected Ian Rank-Broadley to sculpt a memorial dedicated to their late mother Princess Diana.
The royals have enlisted the Queen’s coin artist to work on a sculpture as a “fitting and lasting tribute” to the late Princess’ life.
They said in a statement: “We have been touched by the kind words and memories so many people have shared about our mother over these past few months. It is clear the significance of her work is still felt by many in the UK and across the world, even twenty years after her death. Ian is an extremely gifted sculptor and we know that he will create a fitting and lasting tribute to our mother. We look forward to unveiling the statue, which will allow all those who visit Kensington Palace to remember and celebrate her life and legacy.”
The statue will be erected in the public grounds of Kensington Palace, which is also where Prince William and Prince Harry live with their respective partners, Duchess Catherine and ‘Suits’ actress Meghan Markle.
Back in January, William and Harry announced they would be commissioning a statue to mark 20 years since her tragic death.
They said in statement at the time: “It has been 20 years since our mother’s death and the time is right to recognise her positive impact in the UK and around the world with a permanent statue. Our mother touched so many lives. We hope the statue will help all those who visit Kensington Palace to reflect on her life and her legacy.”
Whilst Royal historian Kate Williams added of the decision to have a statue put up in Diana’s memory: “They can put their stamp [on her legacy as] a great charitable patron. The princes have really taken up her mantle of the charity work – particularly of looking at the Cinderella causes, that don’t get that much attention.”

Prince Harry to represent Queen at Sandhurst

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry will represent Queen Elizabeth at the Sovereign’s Parade next Friday (15.12.17).
The 33-year-old royal will act as the Reviewing Officer at the event, which formally marks the passing out of Officer Cadets who have completed the Commissioning Course at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in Camberley, Surrey, south east England.
A tweet on the Kensington Palace Twitter account read: “Prince Harry will represent Her Majesty The Queen as the Reviewing Officer at the Sovereign’s Parade on Friday 15th December.”
Harry’s fiancee Meghan Markle is not expected to be in attendance alongside him.
British Prime Minister Theresa May represented the queen at the Sovereign’s Parade back in April, and told the troops the world faces “more complex” threats than ever before.
She said: “The world into which you all now enter is also very different from that which confronted many of your predecessors.
“The threats we face today are more complex than ever before. And the missions that you will be asked to undertake will be similarly complex.”
As well as Harry, Duchess Catherine will also be in royal action next week as she heads to the Rugby Portobello Trust’s community centre.

Sarah Ferguson parties in Miami

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Ferguson and her daughters partied at a star-studded Miami beach event on Wednesday night (06.12.17).
The Duchess of York was flanked by her kids, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, to celebrate the opening of art show Art Basel Miami Beach at members club The Beach Club at 1 Hotel South Beach.
The royal trio rubbed shoulders with the likes of singer Ellie Goulding – who sang at the wedding of Prince William and Duchess Catherine – record producer Mark Ronson and actor Owen Wilson.
Bad Apples Brass Band played to guests as they enjoyed drinks on the private beach of the Beach Club at 1 Hotel South Beach, and later in the evening Mark DJ-ed by the rooftop pool.
Sarah is known to be really close to her daughters, Beatrice, 29, and Eugenie, 27, so much so she recently revealed they call themselves “the Tripod”.
She said: “My girls’ health and hearts are extremely strong and doing very well. I don’t worry at all because I know they keep good diets, they exercise and they are emotionally supported so the stress levels aren’t there.
“My girls and I call ourselves ‘The Tripod’ because we’re so close. They will ring me up if they feel they have a problem.
“And they’ve learnt from my mistakes – thousands of them. It’s great.”
The 58-year-old royal also remains close to her daughters’ father Prince Andrew despite their split in 1996 after 10 years of marriage, and the quartet hold a family meeting every fortnight to discuss what is going on in their lives.

OHMYGOSSIP — Meghan Markle’s father has admitted he would “love to” walk her down the aisle on her wedding day.
The 36-year-old star is to marry Prince Harry in May next year and her dad, Thomas Markle, has admitted he is “delighted” for the happy couple.
When asked if he will give Meghan away on her wedding day, he told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Yes. I’d love to. I’m very pleased. I’m delighted.”
But he couldn’t divulge any details about the big day, adding: “I’m sorry. You know I can’t talk.”
He was handed a bottle of champagne and a box of Twinings English Breakfast tea, which carries the queen’s royal warrant, by the publication to congratulate him on being father of the bride.
Thomas added: “Thank you. That’s very kind.”
This comes after his son, Thomas Markle Jnr. – Meghan’s half-brother – claimed his father has become a “total recluse” since she and Harry, 33, announced their engagement last month.
He said: “Dad never liked the limelight but since the news came out about Meghan and Harry he’s become a total recluse. He hates the attention Meghan’s romance has brought on him.
“He loves her but hates the idea of being in the spotlight.”
Thomas, 73, is said to be living out his retirement in Rosarito Beach on Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula and also spends some time in Los Angeles.
Meghan’s father and mother Doria Ragland – who married Thomas in 1979, but they split in 1988 congratulated the couple in a joint statement.
They said: “We are incredibly happy for Meghan and Harry. Our daughter has always been a kind and loving person. To see her union with Harry, who shares the same qualities, is a source of great joy for us as parents.

Ed Sheeran’s Prince Harry hint

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran would love to perform at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding.
The 26-year-old star was awarded an MBE on Thursday (07.12.17) for services to music and charity by Prince Charles, Harry’s father, at a service at Buckingham Palace in London.
When asked if he’d like to sing for the 33-year-old prince and the former ‘Suits’ actress at their ceremony at Windsor Chapel in May, 2018 – he said: “Yeah, why not.”
The ‘Perfect’ hitmaker said the 69-year-old royal was amazed that he was jetting off to New York immediately after to play a concert, and jokingly asked if he’s still making lots of money from his record sales.
Ed laughed: “He was asking me if I was still selling lots of records and I told him I’ve got a concert in New York tomorrow, and he was quite surprised I was flying after this.”
The musician lost his grandfather four years ago, and he hopes his relative would have been “pretty proud” of his achievement, seeing as he was a huge fan of the royal family.
After the ceremony, he said: “My grandfather was a massive royalist.
“He had all the commemorative plates and stuff, and he died on this day four years ago, so it’s actually quite a nice full circle thing, I guess he’d be pretty proud.”
Despite breaking numerous records and winning countless awards during his career spanning more than a decade, Ed said that “persistence” has got him where he is.
The ‘Thinking Out Loud’ star downplayed his success and said only “30 per cent” of it is down to his talents as a musician and songwriter.
He admitted: “I think it’s persistence. I don’t have a vast amount of talent compared to other people, I think talent is like 30 per cent of it and persistence, drive and self belief are the other ones, which I guess are all the same thing.”

She said: “We are gathered here in Portsmouth today, just a short distance from HMS Victory, a flagship of our seafaring past and a reminder of the debt we owe to the Royal Navy, which, for more than 500 years, has protected the people of this country and our interests around the world.

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William joked he’s “not ginger” as he was mistaken for his younger brother on Wednesday.
The 35-year-old royal didn’t seem bothered when he was mistook for Prince Harry during a visit to Manchester and instead joked about their differing hair colour.
As he was getting into the car, someone from the crowd shouted out “Hi Prince Harry”, to which he quipped: “I’m not ginger.”
Prince William was thrilled when he found out Harry was engaged to Meghan Markle and even joked that he hopes it will mean he stops “scrounging” all his food.
He said at the time: “We’re all very excited, delighted for them both. Wishing them all the happiness in this very exciting time. For me personally, I hope it means he stays out of my fridge, it will stop him scrounging all my food he’s done over the last few years … It’s a fantastic process to go through, engagement and then the build-up to the wedding, so they’ve got a lot of happy times ahead of them and I think they’re very caught up in the moment. I wish them all the happiness in success in planning the wedding. I hope it goes really well.”
And Duchess Catherine – who has Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two, and is expecting a third child with Prince William – is equally thrilled about the engagement.

OHMYGOSSIP — Windsor chapel staff have been asked to watch ‘Suits’ ahead of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding next year.
Historian Hugo Vickers, who is Captain of the Lay Stewards, has urged the staff to watch Meghan acting in her television show so they know who some of the other guests at the party are.
Hugo Vickers told the Daily Mail: “I’ve told the Stewards to get Netflix and watch Suits, so they know who everyone is at the wedding.”
It is not known who is on the guest list for the wedding yet but it is thought Meghan’s co-stars including Patrick J. Adams – who played her on-screen fiancé – and Gabriel Macht, who stars as colleague Harvey Specter and Sarah Rafferty, who plays Donna Paulsen.
