Victoria Beckham admits she has been through ‘so many ups and owns” with her fashion empire

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham has been through “so much” with her fashion empire over the years.
The 50-year-old designer switched fields after initially finding fame alongside Geri Halliwell, Melanie C, Emma Bunton and Mel B as part o the Spice Girls in the late 1990s and while it has been a “huge accomplishment” with her eponymous brand, she is “proud” to finally say that they have turned a profit.
She told Harper’s Bazaar: “It’s a huge accomplishment. The company has been through so much over the last 17 years – ups, downs, restructuring… it’s been quite the journey. So, finally, to be able to say we’re profitable is something I’m so proud of, because it’s not an easy industry, and it’s getting harder and harder. To be able to say that I’m selling clothes right now, when you look at how luxury is struggling.”
The ‘Not Such An Innocent Girl’ singer started displaying her collections at Paris Fashion Week in 2022 and it was only then that she realised she “had something” to give in the field of fashion.
She said: “Whenever I did a collection, I’d always think, it was because of this person, or it was because of that person. But when I went to Paris, what I realised was: I must have something to do with this. And I actually gave myself a little pat on the back.”
Victoria – who was also known as Posh Spice during her heyday with the ‘Say You’ll Be There’ hitmakers – also noted that upon branching out into beauty, she realised that she could truly build her brand into a full-blown “house” for the fashion market.
She said: “When I think about the past 17 years… I mean, there was a point when this brand was all fires, and every day we were putting them out. But when I created the fragrance, that’s when I believe that we turned from a brand into a house. I’ve spent years building the damn foundations. Now I can start really building the house.”

Wallis Day worked harder to prove she’s not just a ‘pretty face’

OHMYGOSSIP — Wallis Day felt she had to “prove” that she wasn’t “getting an easy ride” because of her “pretty face”.
The ‘Batwoman’ star was just 13 when she became a model and says starting out at a young age in the industry “taught” her “self-worth beyond appearances”.
She told HELLO! Fashion magazine: “Starting so young in the modelling industry definitely made me more aware of how other people perceive beauty.
“It taught me to have resilience and self-worth beyond appearances.
“I’ve learned to ground myself in who I am and not just what I look like, for sure.”
Wallis faced her fair share of “haters” still being at school when she embarked on a modelling career.
She said: “It’s a tough one, because I was in school.
“While my close friends were really supportive of it, there were hates in school.
“They were really mean and laughed at the fact I wanted to act and model. Not everybody was supportive.
“I would be in town and I would see a big poster of me on the Adidas store and I would try to get my friends to turn the other way because I was embarrassed about it.”
And when it came to being an actress, the ‘Sex/Life’ star felt she needed to go for “more complex roles” to avoid being “typecast” as the “girl next door”.
She said: “As I came from a modelling background, I felt that I needed to prove that I wasn’t getting an easy ride because I was a pretty face’.
“I purposely made a choice to take on more complex roles and not settle for the girl-next-door roles as people often assume that being conventionally attractive makes things easier. In some ways, I feel like I’ve had to work harder to break free from being typecast.”
Wallis compared cutting off her locks for a pixie do to “shedding expectations”.
She said: “Cutting my hair symbolised shedding expectations. It felt empowering.”

Kylie Minogue wants to bring back lingerie line

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Minogue wants to revive her lingerie line.
The ‘Spinning Around’ hitmaker launched her Love Kylie brand in 2003 and she’d love to release a new collection because so many women have told her they are still using underwear from the original range.
Looking back at a 2004 Sunday Times Style magazine cover, she told the outlet: “That was when we were doing pictures for the Showgirl tour. I’m wearing Alaïa leggings and a Love Kylie bra, which I will bring back one day.
“I still have women go, ‘I’ve still got mine.’ I mean, that’s a long time to hold on to your smalls, but we can do it again.”
Kylie loved the fashion she wore in the early 200s.
She reflected: “That was a good era for me. I was wearing Nicolas Ghesquière, Balenciaga, a lot of Chanel. I was deep in fashion.”
The 56-year-old singer has worked with the likes of Stella McCartney and the late Karl Lagerfeld and had John Galliano, Jean Paul Gaultier and Dolce + Gabbana design her tour costumes, and she credits her 2002 tour for being a “wild awakening” about what was possible for her performance wardrobe.
She said: “Well, Dolce + Gabbana did my ‘Fever2002’ tour and that was a wild awakening because, until then, on tour you had to scrape things together. I see pictures of the racks from touring back then and it’s like one rack with four or five things hanging on it.
“Cut to 2002 and suddenly D+G were providing three of everything. It was crazy. I’ve had a great relationship with them and that is still going to this day.”
Looking back, Kylie considers the white hooded jumpsuit designed by Fee Doran under the Mrs. Jones label – which she wore in the ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ music video – to be her most iconic look, even if she “didn’t appreciate” how special it was at first.
She reflected: “The way I wore it, the way it moved, the way it was lit.
“When I saw Fee’s drawings I probably didn’t appreciate it at the time.
“Even on the hanger, seeing it for the first time, I never knew it would have this life of its own.”

Alex Consani didn’t feel ‘pressure’ during Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

OHMYGOSSIP — Alex Consani didn’t feel any pressure at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show because she hadn’t realised she was the first ever trans model to walk in the fashion extravaganza.
The 21-year-old model stepped out onto the runway for the lingerie brand last month, followed shortly afterwards by Valentina Sampaio and though she knew it was a “really impactful moment”, she hadn’t appreciated just how significance her presence was until afterwards.
She told Teen Vogue magazine: “That was a really impactful moment. It’s crazy, though, because I didn’t even realize I was the first to walk until after I walked the show.
“I thought that Valentina had already walked a while ago, so having that in my mind took the pressure away.
“At this level, [there] haven’t been any references.
“It’s really impactful to be [among] the first [to walk for Victoria’s Secret] because I’m able to take the hate. If I get called out for something, but it’s something that I truly and morally believe in, I have absolutely no problem with it.”
Alex is thankful for the trans models who came before her and wants to “use her voice” to advocate for others.
She said: “I came into fashion at a time when people were looking for a space for diversity. I’ve talked to so many of the great trans models like Dominique Jackson and Connie Fleming.
“Their experiences were so crazy. Hearing how much they had to push the barriers for me to be where I am today, I could never compare my situation to theirs.
“There’s more we can do. And it starts with fostering a conversation. It’s scary, though, because if you talk about the need for diversity to someone in power, they might X you out and say, ‘Well, if you’re upset then we’ll just make sure you’re not included.’ And that’s not how it should be.
“Fashion, now more than ever, values a voice. If you have the ability to use your voice, then you have to use it.”

PacSun partners with Selena Gomez’s Rare Impact Fund

OHMYGOSSIP — Selena Gomez’s Rare Impact Fund has partnered with PacSun.
The 32-year-old star created the fund to support mental health initiatives for youths, and it’s now joined forces with the clothing brand to launch a new denim collection called Rare Dnm Edit, with ten percent of the sales going to the Rare Impact Fund.
Richard Cox, the chief merchandising officer at PacSun, told WWD: “The Rare Dnm Edit is about more than just style, it is about purpose.
“This collection takes the spirit of self-expression that denim represents, while allowing our community to contribute directly to youth mental health resources through the Rare Impact Fund.”
The new collection actually debuted at Rare Beauty’s annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit in October.
Selena previously described the Rare Impact Fund as a “commitment to expand access to mental health services and education for young people everywhere”.
The brunette beauty – who has been open about her own mental health struggles over the years – said in a statement: “Mental health is personal for me.
“I went a long time without the support I needed because I didn’t understand what I was feeling.
“After experiencing what seemed like endless highs and lows that would take me out for weeks at a time, I finally found the help to see what I was going through. But I’m learning every day that supporting my mental health is a journey. Every day isn’t perfect – not for me, not for anyone. And too many people don’t have access to the mental health resources and education they need.
“That’s why I started the Rare Impact Fund. It’s a commitment to expand access to mental health services and education for young people everywhere. Because no one – regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, or background – should struggle alone.”

Olivia Rodrigo found it ‘very important’ to get her tour lipstick right

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Rodrigo needed “really thick” lipstick on tour.
The ‘Bad Idea Right?’ hitmaker admitted finding the right lip product was “very important” when it came to creating her beauty look for her ‘Guts World Tour’ as she didn’t want it to transfer to her microphone or all over her face.
She told People magazine: “I have an amazing make-up artist named Karissa who comes with me everywhere and helps me out.
“The lipstick is very important.
“It has to be really thick on your lips, because if it moves a little, it’ll get on your microphone and then it’ll be all over your face by the end of the show.
“So the lipstick is very, very important. You have to have a very strong one.”
During her tour – which spanned five continents and more than 100 shows – the 21-year-old star picked up a new hobby after discovering a love of surfing during some down time.
She said: “We finished the tour in Australia and me and all my dancers, we took a surf lesson at one of the beaches in Australia. I’ll remember that forever.
“It was so much fun, and we all stood up and it was great. It’s like a core memory for sure. We all caught waves!”
Olivia has just released a concert film shot at her Los Angeles gigs and she’s excited to have her own personal “time capsule”.
She added: “I’m really excited to show my kids this film when I’m like, 40. And be like, ‘This is what mom did when she was 21! Isn’t that cool?’…
“I just wanted to create an experience for people to relive the show and I’m so proud of the show and everyone works so hard to pull it together.
“I was really excited at the prospect of having a little memento that we could watch back forever.”

The 26-year-old model became a first-time mum in May when she welcomed her daughter Eloise with husband Elliot Grainge and she’s revealed she was blighted by skin problems and she’s been looking for new beauty hacks to help.
She told Vogue: “[I’m] figuring out ways to cover up just some of the scarring [from hormonal acne] and dark marks from pregnancy … [which I’ve had a ] really hard time with.”
Sofia revealed she’s found a foundation and concealer by Lancome which has helped. She added: “It gives me that coverage, but it also still makes my skin look like skin, which I appreciate”.
She added her skincare regime has been stripped back and she’s adding “tonnes and tonnes of hydration”.
Sofia previously opened up about her skincare struggles during her pregnancy – admitting she felt like she was back at school battling the same old problems once again.
She told Harper’s Bazaar: “I really suffered a lot in my teenage years with acne and rosacea, and when I found out I was pregnant, it returned like I was back in high school. I really wasn’t expecting it; there’s so many things that come with pregnancy and it just wasn’t something that I factored in …
“I’ve definitely had to pivot. My number one priority with my beauty routine right now is to try to have the healthiest skin possible. And making sure that I have the correct products to accomplish that, whether skincare or make-up.”

Pamela Anderson’s new cleanser is inspired by her rose garden

OHMYGOSSIP — Pamela Anderson’s new cleanser for her Sonsie Skin line is inspired by her rose garden.
The former ‘Baywatch’ star co-founded the vegan beauty brand at the start of the year and her latest product to launch is the Cleansing Mousse – a foaming face wash designed for sensitive skin – which has been formulated with rose hips essence inspired by flowers growing in Pamela’s garden at her home in Canada.
She told WWD.com: “I start each day when I’m home in my rose garden, so I felt, ‘How do I bring that with me?’ I do make a rose hip oil, and I wanted to bring that into the skin care line …
“When I started working with the Sonsie group, I really wanted to start applying my life lessons and things that I’ve learned along the way – accepting where you are on your beauty journey – and I just felt like the rose garden, for me, was a very grounding message, because I kind of rediscovered myself in the rose garden.”
She added returning home to Canada led to some important life lessons: “I guess a homecoming, you could say, to really kind of look at my life and remember who I was – not what other people were telling me I was – and I didn’t want anything that had happened to me define me.
“I wanted what I do to define me … all these realisations came to me in the rose garden.”
Pamela has ditched make-up in recent years and now takes good care of her skin, but she’s adamant her daily routine isn’t particularly fussy.
She told Bustle: “I feel comfortable enough wearing just the skin care out and about. Since I’ve been doing that, I take more time for myself. If it’s at night, I’ll have a bath, read a book, and put my three little products on. It’s not a big, complicated skin care routine. It’s just easy-breezy.
“I like the intention with skin care. I like that the scents are transportive and up-lifting. Happiness is a choice. I love to bring all that into the product line, because when you’re doing this, you should be looking at yourself in the mirror and knowing that you’re beautiful just the way you are.”

Priyanka Chopra Jonas ‘doesn’t have time’ for lots of products

OHMYGOSSIP — Priyanka Chopra Jonas “doesn’t have time” for a lot of cosmetics.
The 42-year-old actress – who has two-year-old daughter Malti with husband Nick Jonas – has a selection of products that she uses every day but admitted her routine is fairly basic because she’s always so busy.
The ‘Love Again’ star told iDiva: “I am a girl on the go, so I don’t have time for a big make-up bag with multiple products. I will start with a little foundation or concealer to help give my skin a boost of radiance. I love lipstick! I have a lot of space on my lips, so I use lipstick to really have a point of view.
“In the daytime, I like for my lipstick to feel light. And I can’t live without mascara – just a little bit goes a long way and it’s the one product I always have with me.”
Priyanka also shared that the secret to having good skin is by keeping it clean and hydrated.
She added: “I clean my face and remove my make-up a few times a day. So, always have fresh, clean, hydrated skin. Ice is also a great way to beat jet lag – I just put my face in some ice and the look of tired skin goes away.”
Previously, Priyanka opened up about the fact that she uses beauty routines to boost her self-esteem.
She told Cosmopolitan magazine: “We live in such busy worlds, constantly giving, but when we focus on beauty or self-care, you’re bringing the focus back to you. That little time that we give ourselves can have such a profound effect on our confidence, our sense of self. It can make us feel like we’re important and that it’s okay to take care of ourselves.
“Whatever your version of that is, whether it’s a face mask at night or shimmery eyes and gorgeous makeup; putting the lens on yourself has a profound effect on our self-esteem.”

Travis Kelce spends at least three hours picking an outfit before each game

OHMYGOSSIP — Travis Kelce spends “at least three hours” picking an outfit before each game.
The NFL star converted an entire bedroom into a wardrobe so has a multitude of garments to choose from, and though he spends a long time deliberating, he often still doesn’t make a decision until the last minute.
Travis told WSJ Magazine: “I kind of just do it off of instinct.
“It really just goes down to the wire.
“I kind of enjoy the creative process of the panic to just throw something together.”
The sports star – who is also dating pop icon Taylor Swift – also revealed that he enjoys sporting bold outfits and doesn’t care what people think of them.
He added: “Obviously, not every look is for everybody.
“I’m not going to be offended if somebody says I look like a clown if I got a fun hat on and some wacky jeans. It is what it is, I’m gonna have fun with it.
“For the most part, I do it to put a smile on somebody’s face.”
Earlier this year, Travis shared that he thought his girlfriend Taylor “killed” it with her outfit for the Grammy Awards.
Taylor stepped out in a white floor length dress with a thigh high split, completed the look with black opera gloves, black open-toe heels and a custom Lorraine Schwartz watch which she wore as a choker.
Speaking to reporters in a press conference the week after, he said: “oh, that was fresh I liked that.
“It’s all about the accessories when you go to an awards show like that. She killed it.”

She told Vogue: “I like to wear whatever makes me feel the most in my skin.
“I like feeling like I can move and breathe.”
Whenever she is playing a special show, Gracie “calls up Chanel” for a dress.
Her stylist Spencer Singer said: “When there are really special moments, we call up our friends at Chanel and they give us really special dresses.”
Gracie has re-worn her bridal-style gown from her performance at Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ show at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and admits she loves it so much, she could see herself getting married in it one day.
She said: “I’ve worn this dress before.
“I wore this at the MetLife Eras show last year and it was my favourite thing that I’d ever performed in and it kind of feels like a wedding dress.
“Like I remember putting it on being like maybe I would want this one day.”
Gracie loves the brand so much she wears Chanel lipstick every day.
The ‘Friend’ hitmaker – the daughter of famed filmmaker J.J. Abrams and his wife Kate McGrath – loves the Boy lippie and takes it with her “everywhere” she goes.
She previously told Harper’s BAZAAR: “Growing up, I had very little involvement in the fashion world. I played rowdy sports and I only have brothers, but my mom had two lipsticks and they were both Chanel. One of them was a dark red, and the other one was a nude shade. I wear Boy now every day—that’s the shade that I carry with me everywhere. It feels like a happy medium between the two.”
Gracie believes the brand represents “classic glamour”.
She added: “I just remember feeling like Chanel was classic glamour and timeless beauty, and growing up, that was only reaffirmed in everything that I learned about them. To be in close proximity to the brand is such an honor, and to sing for a night for the brand is a real dream come true.”

The 41-year-old actress has opened up about her best beauty tips and Lupita has revealed she enjoys bathing in cold water because it gives her a rush and makes her feel euphoric.

She added of her self-care routine: “I just believe in taking care of myself. It looks like self-awareness. That’s what self-care means to me.”

She said: “What I’ve learned about style over the years is that it doesn’t have to change with the trends. You can establish your own style and build on it at your own pace.
“My personal style … how has it evolved? When I first started working with my stylist … I gave her a list of things I would never wear and it included velvet, bias cut. I think I said I wouldn’t wear frills, I wouldn’t wear peplum. But anyway I’ve worn all of it so I guess I’ve grown more daring.”
She concluded by sharing her best fashion advice that was given to her by her mom, saying: “Always dress to respect yourself and the event that you’re going to.”

Margot Robbie ‘swears by’ oxygen facials and sunscreen

OHMYGOSSIP — Margot Robbie “swears by” oxygen facials, wearing sunscreen and drinking a lot of water.
The ‘Barbie’ star has lifted the lid on her beauty regime revealing she spends more time looking after her skin than she does applying make-up and she makes sure she doesn’t leave the house without wearing an SPF.
She told Harper’s Bazaar: “I drink a lot of water. I always wear sunscreen. All that boring stuff that you hear and you’re like, ‘I know I should do all that.’
“I really do do all that. I’m Australian, so sunscreen is the key to everything. I put my make-up on pretty quickly.
“I spend longer prepping my skin, or after I take my make-up off [I spend longer] looking after my skin than I do actually applying make-up.”
Margot went on to reveal she gets regular facials to help with hyperpigmentation on her face as well as lymphatic drainage massage.
She added: “I swear by oxygen facials. I have an oxygen machine and that has been a game-changer for me. I also have Melasma so I find it helps with that a lot.
“I love a lymphatic drainage massage. There’s this company called Ricari and they use machines and I find it really, really effective.”
It comes after Margot admitted she strives to achieve “French girl beauty” but ends up leaning into trends from her native Australia which are more “casual”.
She told Vogue: “In Australia, we like effortless beauty, but in a casual way. I think French girl beauty is also effortless, but in a more put-together way. It’s hard to achieve, but I think it’s the thing we’re all striving for.”
