Jonathan Bailey more confident and at ease with himself

OHMYGOSSIP — Jonathan Bailey has grown more adventurous on the red carpet because he’s in the “best shape” he has ever been.
The ‘Wicked’ actor admitted he’s grown in confidence so is more willing to experiment with more unconventional formal wear, even garments that flash some flesh.
He told GQ.com of his evolving style: “I probably am in the best shape I’ve ever been.
“I honestly think it reflects a confidence in identity, in one’s self.
“You realise how important it is just to be completely yourself.”
Photos of the 36-year-old star in pleated shorts while in Australia recently went viral and he admitted they made him feel “very elegant”.
He said: “The idea of a very relaxed, elevated day look is something I’ve always enjoyed.
“And of course, in Sydney and down under, we should be showing down under.
“It’s funny. Sometimes, you feel like what you decide to wear chooses you. The waist, the cut of the trouser, the pleat, and the waist—it made me feel very elegant.”
The pictures sparked a wave of compliments about Jonathan’s shapely legs, which he credits to his lengthy dance background.
He said: “Well, they should be dancing from a very young age.
“It’s encouraging your sons to dance and do ballet. I played rugby growing up as well, and I play a lot of tennis now. I did ballet for a good few years, and I think the way that the body responds to that and gymnastics, I think, that’s the key… Lots of handstands and deep squats.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Bridgerton’ actor’s stylist, Emma Jade Morrison, hailed him a “whimsical, mischievous delight” who she has fun finding new outfits for.
She said: “Jonny is a whimsical, mischievous delight, so we try to show that through his sartorial choices.
“He is joyful and cheeky, with an old soul, so I love to modernise classic shapes through colors, materials and saucy bits of skin.”

Pixie Geldof kept rainbow wedding dress ‘hanging’ in her ‘sitting room’

OHMYGOSSIP — Pixie Geldof kept her rainbow wedding dress “hanging in [her] sitting room for like a year and a half”.
The 34-year-old model and singer – whose parents are Boomtown Rats rocker Bob Geldof and late TV presenter Paula Yates – wore a Pierpaolo Piccioli tulle dress when she wed musician George Barnett, 36, in Deia, Majorca in 2017, and she has described her outfit as “just the best thing ever”.
Speaking on British Vogue’s ‘The Closet Digest’ podcast, she said: “I love it so much, and I kept it hanging in my sitting room for like a year and a half.
“[Piccioli] called it the rainbow love dress. It felt celebratory, I wanted there to be a playfulness to it.
“I think I’d had a hard time, and I wanted that day to be the opposite of that.”
She added that the sketches of the outfit are framed in her home.
Although she has kept photos of her wedding private, snaps circulated at the time of her checking her train attached to the dress – with each layer featuring a different pastel colour, as well as holding a white bouquet.
Her bridesmaids, including Daisy Lowe, were also seen wearing off-the-shoulder pink dresses.
Pixie feels nostalgic about the noughties and early 2010s, reflecting on a period where she “met some of her nearest and dearest”.
She added to the publication: “I am nostalgic for that time – that was the last few years of my teens, my early twenties, and those are like these huge formative years.
“That’s when I met some of my nearest and dearest, and I met my husband during that period. It was beautiful – we had the time of our lives.”

Chase Stokes to star in Armani Beauty documentary

OHMYGOSSIP — Chase Stokes and Camila Mendes are set to star in a “personal and emotional” Armani Beauty documentary.
The ‘Outer Banks’ actor and the ‘Riverdale’ actress – who are part of the brand’s Gen A talent that represent the company globally – are going to appear in the 23-minute Loïc Prignent film ‘A Few Days in Venice’, which gives a behind-the-scenes look at the stars at the 81st Venice International Film Festival of La Biennale di Venezia.
Global Brand President Richard Pinabel told Women’s Wear Daily: “This year, we wanted to do something different. That included delving into what goes on before the red carpet’s unfurling.
“To show not only the glamour, the surface of what is happening, that you normally see, but also behind-the-scenes.
““It’s not just the classic makeup preparation or ‘get ready with me.’ We wanted something a bit more personal, emotional and to go really behind the entire process that is leading to the event.”
Richard also gave his reasoning behind working with the documentary filmmaker and journalist – who has created many YouTube-related fashion videos, such as covering the Paris Courrèges fashion show in June.
Loïc’s “very authentic style” and his “connection with both the cinema and fashion world” made him the stand-out choice.
Going live on YouTube on Tuesday (12.11.24), the film focuses on the young acting talent at the 81st Venice International Film Festival of La Biennale di Venezia, which ran from late August to early September.
It will also star Chris Briney, Clara Galle, Isabela Merced, Jackson Yee, Julio Peña,, Lili Reinhart, Muhannad Hamdi and Beatrice Vendramin.
The “dream project” appealed to Richard because of “the cast” and “the Armani team” involved.
He added: “It was a parenthesis for them as actors, actresses and producers. It was a quiet moment. The camera could be a friend, and we had really intimate talks. Nothing was scripted. It was very genuine.”

Gwyneth Paltrow starts her ‘bedtime ritual’ at 7.30pm

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwyneth Paltrow starts her “bedtime ritual” at 7.30pm and it involves a long, hot bath and a “simple” skincare routine.
The actress-turned-wellness guru – who launched her brand Goop back in 2008 – has revealed she likes to start winding down early and she starts her nighttime skincare regime by using an exfoliator in the tub.
She told Air Mail: “At 7:30 or 8:00, I start my whole bedtime ritual. During the pandemic, we got in the habit of eating dinner really early, and it’s sort of stuck … I get in the bath every night. I use our [Goop] microderm exfoliator in the bathtub. That’s step one, and then I have a pretty simple routine: I use our new retinol serum, and then I layer it with our peptide serum, and then I layer that with our All-in-One moisturiser, and that’s it.”
Gwyneth added that she changes up her bath routine if she’s working on acting project to help her sleep well, adding: “I think if I was shooting something, I would make the bath extra-hot, with essential oils and Epsom salts, or the Goop The Martini bath – it helps me sleep really well.”
She added that she tries not to eat for several hours before bed but she often finishes the day with a cup of herbal tea, explaining: “I try not to eat for a couple of hours. I sleep better if I don’t have a full stomach. I do like tea at night – a nice mint, chamomile, or fennel.”
Gwyneth then falls asleep watching true crime on TV and sleeps wearing mouth tape and ear plugs.

Kourtney Kardashian tries to avoid washing her hair

OHMYGOSSIP — Kourtney Kardashian tries to go as long as possible without washing her hair.
‘The Kardashians’ star gave birth to her fourth child – a son named Rocky – late last year and she’s been suffering from postpartum hair loss while she’s been breastfeeding – so the reality regular has been slathering her locks with oil and trying to avoid over-styling it.
In an interview with WWD.com, she explained: “I noticed it with all four of my kids, when I was breastfeeding, that I would have hair loss and shedding …
“A new thing I’ve been doing is I drink bone broth in the mornings instead of tea. I have that on my carpooling adventures.
“I try to not do too much to my hair during this time, and I try to not wash it as often as possible. I will put hair oils …in and just keep my hair sleek, and then just try to not use a lot of product at all.”
Kourtney launched her own supplements brand Lemme in 2022 and the latest addition to the line is Lemme Grow – which is designed to encourage hair growth and cut back on shedding using a natural formula without biotin.
She added of the new product: “People in the Lemme community have been asking us for a natural hair growth supplement for over two years.
“We heard from thousands of people who were looking for a hair growth solution that didn’t include biotin. Many people have a sensitivity to biotin that can cause breakouts.”

Linda Evangelista lacked confidence

OHMYGOSSIP — Linda Evangelista lacked confidence in the early days of her career.
The 59-year-old beauty doesn’t think her rise to supermodel status happened as quickly for her as it did for some of her peers because she didn’t know who she was “supposed to be” until much further down her path.
Speaking during a presentation at the WWD Apparel and Retail CEO Summit, she reflected: “My rise to success working with incredible photographers and magazines and campaigns didn’t happen overnight – it took like three years.
“Some of the other models went straight to the top, and my rise was so slow because what I was lacking was confidence.
“I think I didn’t have a look. I didn’t know how I was supposed to look.
“I didn’t know who I was supposed to be, until I found out I could be anybody I wanted to be.”
Linda is one of a number of supermodels, including Cindy Crawford, Amber Valletta and Karlie Kloss, to be fronting the relaunch of Donna Karan and she was delighted to work with the fashion house again as she had such fond memories of the designer and her catwalk shows in the 1990s/
She said: Donna was such a fun show to do. She was there with us backstage, and we would get these pep talks. We never got pep talks from anybody. It was just, ‘Walk to the end, walk back.’
“But she wanted us to be our authentic selves, strong women that embodied everything that she ever thought a woman was. She gave us so much confidence, and it was so much fun.
“Sometimes in fashion shows, you look around at the other models and what outfits they have, and you’re like, ‘Oh, how come they got that one?’ But it didn’t matter with [Donna] because her clothes didn’t overtake your personality.”
And even now, Linda still wears her old pieces by the designer.
She said: “The black body suit was the basis of everything, and you build on that — it was so easy to get dressed as a woman. There are a couple things like that that I still wear today, because they’re resilient, they have longevity.”

Heidi Klum feels ‘proud’ when daughter Leni re-wears her clothes

OHMYGOSSIP — Heidi Klum feels “proud” when her daughter re-wears her clothes.
The 51-year-old model urged people to shop their “own closet” as she thinks it is “wrong” to only wear an outfit once but she takes particular pleasure in seeing her old garments get a new lease of life thanks to her eldest child, 20-year-old Leni.
She told People magazine: “I get so excited when I see my daughter re-waring my clothes.
“My eldest daughter, she is also a model, and she goes to events, and when she wears my clothes, I’m not just proud, but we can upcycle.
“I think it’s so important also to keep wearing your things.
“I think in the past, we’d wear something once and then we’d never wear it again, and it’s so wrong to do.
“I urge everyone to wear your amazing things that you have in the closet.
“It’s the best shop, your own closet.”
The ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge – who, as well as Leni, also has Henry, 19, Johan, 17, and Lou, 15, with ex-husband Seal – has developed a passion for looking after the environment, which she thinks is particularly important for the future generations of her family.
She said: “I have four kids and hopefully I will be a grandmother one day and what about my grandkids? We have to think about our tomorrow.
“When I was a kid you knew already it was starting and for people to say there is no climate change, I mean open your eyes around you — it’s happening everywhere.
“There are so many places that I’ve visited where they’re complaining about these things and flooding and everything going on.”
In 2022, Leni revealed she had raided her mom’s wardrobe for her prom outfit.
Donning a silky, strapless black dress, she wrote on Instagram: “Prom night in mama’s dress.”

Troye Sivan was ‘afraid’ of make-up

OHMYGOSSIP — Troye Sivan was “afraid” of make-up growing up.
The ‘Revelation’ hitmaker – who was named as Rabanne’s first global make-up brand ambassador in July – believes people use cosmetics to express their identity so it took until he was more comfortable with himself for him to be able to experiment with different products.
He told Allure: “I think make-up is really closely tied to identity for a lot of people, and for those reasons, it was something that I was definitely afraid of as a kid.
“Now that I’m feeling so liberated in my personal life, it’s nice to be free to explore it.
“But for anyone who might be a couple of years earlier in their [coming out] process than I am, I hope that it just shows them to do what makes them feel good. That’s really the only thing you can do.”
The 29-year-old singer recalled how “liberating” it was when he first sported a “bold” make-up look in public.
He added: “The first time I wore really bold make-up was in the ‘Bloom’ music video [in 2018].
“That was a very formative experience for me and just a really liberating day.”
Previously, Troye admitted that he didn’t use makeup until later in his life, despite wanting to as a child.
He told WWD: “I definitely fantasised about playing with makeup as a kid and never really allowed myself to do it.
“I would watch my mom do her makeup, or I would watch my sister or my friends. My favorite thing was I would get ready for a party in like five minutes then race to my friend’s house and watch them get ready over the course of two hours.
“It’s this very kind of ritualistic experience that I cherish.
“I love doing it by myself. I love doing it with other people. Even now, on tour — we’ve been on tour for the last month — it became a really important part of our pre-show ritual — me and the six dancers sitting, all doing our makeup and exchanging products and tips.
“It really centres you, puts you in the zone, can elevate you and make you feel your best.”

Jennifer Aniston took clothing home from Friends to keep

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Aniston took home “a lot” of costumes from ‘Friends’ – even outfits she didn’t wear herself.
The 55-year-old actress’ co-star Courteney Cox – who played Monica Geller in the comedy series – didn’t take home many souvenirs from the set of the show but her friend did and still wears the garments when out and about now.
Speaking on the ‘Fashion Neurosis’ podcast, Courteney said: “As a matter of fact, I could have kept anything on [‘Friends’] that I wanted, and I didn’t…
“[Jennifer] took a lot of Monica’s dresses, and she’ll say, ‘Oh yeah, I used to wear this on ‘Friends’.’
“And I mean, it looks great on her. She has a great figure and she’s adorable. But I’m like, ‘Why would you take this floral little prairie dress from Friends?’ But she holds on to everything.”
It was also clarified during the podcast that the stars were allowed to keep what clothing they wanted, so they were not breaking any rules.
And Courteney finds it “really funny” that Jennifer raided her character’s wardrobe because the one time she tried to copy her friend’s style, things went wrong.
She said: “I remember I was late to the game, but Jennifer had this outfit on. She was wearing a really cool jacket with a tank top and a pair of jeans. I just thought, ‘God, she looks great.’ The shoulder pads are really sharp. So I thought, ‘You know what, I’m going to get that jacket.’
“Everybody had had that jacket, everybody had worn it. Jennifer was maybe early on, of course, but by the time I got it, it wasn’t as cool anymore. And I think even asked Mary, my stylist, she’s like, ‘Yeah, that’s kind of not what people are doing.’ And I was like, ‘Oh my God, this jacket was thousands of dollars.’ ”
The ‘Scream’ actress ended up only wearing the jacket once before getting rid of it.
She said: “I took the shoulder pads out, or I cut them way down. Now, you can’t resell it anymore. I love to do this. Whether I give it to charity or keep the money, I’m not going to lie. I like selling s*** because I don’t want to keep it. I don’t know why. I wore it one time, but I couldn’t sell it because I took the shoulder pads out. Now, it’d probably be a cool jacket again.”
Asked what happened to it, she said: “I don’t know, but I gave it away.”

Jennifer Love Hewitt is ‘obsessed’ with ’90s butterfly hair clips again

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Love Hewitt is loving the revival of ’90s butterfly hair clips.
The 45-year-old actress admits she is thrilled the hair accessory is making a comeback and joked that it was “probably illegal” for her to wear them to movie premieres back in the day.
Asked what popular ’90s items would make a good present this Christmas, she told E! News: “I mean, first of all, anything from the 90s, period. It’s so funny how my kids talk about the 90s now. They’re like, ‘Oh, the 90s.’ I’m like, ‘That was my time. The 90s were great.'”
She added: “One thing that I’m really obsessed with that has made a comeback is butterfly hair clips. They’re a great throwback! I have so many pictures of myself wearing those clips. I think I even wore them to premieres, which might be illegal, but it worked!”
The ‘ I Know What You Did Last Summer’ star – who has Autumn, 10, Atticus, eight, and two-year-old Aidan with husband Brian Hallisay – suggested: “They’re perfect for putting in dolls’ hair if you’re gifting little girls or in their hair for middle school girls.”
Elsewhere, Jennifer revealed that her ideal pampering session would include a bath with a sugar scrub and candles.
Sharing her festive beauty gift suggestions, she said: “One of the things on the list is the Coffee Shop Brown Sugar Scrub.
“Anything for the bath feels decadent and special. A candle paired with a scrub would be perfect too. I just love feeling pampered!”

Taylor Swift wears fan’s vintage Kansas City Chiefs jacket sold on eBay

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift wore a vintage Kansas City Chiefs jacket purchased from eBay to boyfriend Travis Kelce’s game.
Turns out, the 34-year-old pop megastar’s longtime stylist, Joseph Cassell Falconer, had bagged the black 1990s leather jacket with the team’s red and gold colours on its sleeves on the resale site.
A Kansas City-based TikToker and Swiftie named Court was left shocked when her mom pointed out that the ‘cardigan’ singer was wearing the garment when she attended the Chiefs’ home game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Arrowhead Stadium this week.
She said in a video: “Y’all, Taylor Swift was wearing my old jacket at the Chiefs game tonight!
“I was like, ‘Did we sell that on eBay?’ So, I checked with my dad and he was like, ‘Yeah, isn’t that the one that went out to California?’”
They were able to tell it was her jacket because it has a crease that doesn’t go away.
The family realised it was Joseph who had bid on the jacket for his client and had it shipped out to California.
She went on: “I’m a longtime Swiftie. I’m talking almost twenty years.
“I am freaking out.
“Thank you, Taylor’s stylist, for buying the jacket. This is the coolest thing that’s ever happened to me!”
The clip was captioned: “As a Chiefs fan and a Swiftie… I’m not okay right now.”
Taylor – whose partner is a tight-end for the Chiefs – completed the look with a black T-shirt, denim shorts, Christian Louboutin Santia knee-high boots, a gold Chanel necklace, and a Christian Dior Saddle bag.

Victoria Beckham bans teenage daughter Harper from borrowing her Hermès bags

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham’s Hermès bag collection is off-limits to her daughter Harper.
The 50-year-old fashion designer has admitted her 13-year-old girl is not allowed to borrow her high-end designer Birkins just yet.
She told Vogue: “I’m not too precious about [my wardrobe] unless it’s Hermès. When Harper eyes up those handbags [I say]: ‘Not just yet.’ I love my clothes, I look after my clothes, and they are there to be enjoyed.”
Hermès bags can cost up to an eye-watering $139,230.
The former Spice Girl – who also has sons Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 19, with retired soccer ace David Beckham – insists she is flattered that Harper and her boys’ partners want to raid her closet.
She added: “If one of the young ones wants to borrow my clothes, whether it’s Harper or one of the boys’ girlfriends, that’s flattery because they are significantly younger than me.”
Meanwhile, Victoria this week admitted she has been through “so much” with her fashion empire over the years.
The 50-year-old designer switched fields after initially finding fame alongside Geri Horner, Melanie C, Emma Bunton and Mel B as part of the Spice Girls in the late 1990s and while it has been a “huge accomplishment” with her eponymous brand, she is “proud” to finally say that they have turned a profit.
She told Harper’s Bazaar: “It’s a huge accomplishment. The company has been through so much over the last 17 years – ups, downs, restructuring… it’s been quite the journey. So, finally, to be able to say we’re profitable is something I’m so proud of, because it’s not an easy industry, and it’s getting harder and harder. To be able to say that I’m selling clothes right now, when you look at how luxury is struggling.”
The ‘Not Such An Innocent Girl’ singer started displaying her collections at Paris Fashion Week in 2022 and it was only then that she realised she “had something” to give in the field of fashion.
She said: “Whenever I did a collection, I’d always think, it was because of this person, or it was because of that person. But when I went to Paris, what I realised was: I must have something to do with this. And I actually gave myself a little pat on the back.”
Victoria also noted that upon branching out into beauty, she realised that she could truly build her brand into a full-blown “house” for the fashion market.
She said: “When I think about the past 17 years… I mean, there was a point when this brand was all fires, and every day we were putting them out. But when I created the fragrance, that’s when I believe that we turned from a brand into a house. I’ve spent years building the damn foundations. Now I can start really building the house.”

For the Head To Toe Glow Kit, anyone who subscribes will get her bling cup as a fun extra.

The ‘Jenny From the Block’ hitmaker previously revealed that her everyday skincare routine is in fact “very simple”.
She told Vogue.com’s series Vogue Beauty Secrets: “I’ve always had a very simple skin-care routine, and JLo Beauty was very much about that.
“The truth is if you start young, it will make a huge difference.
“Because you can put on all the makeup in the world, [but] if you’re unhappy, if your skin’s not healthy…you can’t cover it up. Remember: I am magnificent, and my life is full of joy, laughter, adventure, and love. Success and prosperity too”

Eva Green needs ‘outside inspiration’ for her red carpet style

OHMYGOSSIP — Eva Green “needs a bit of outside inspiration” for her fashion choices.
The 44-year-old actress admitted while she leans towards “classic silhouettes”, she enjoys the process of “telling a story” with her red carpet outfits.
She told Women’s Wear Daily: “I am one of those people who needs a bit of outside inspiration. Once acquired, I tend to gravitate toward classic silhouettes with a touch of bold edge. “Putting together a red carpet look is a bit like crafting a character for the evening — each piece tells a story, capturing the theme and the mood of the event.
“My stylists are the unsung heroes, helping transform the idea into the reality.”
Green has teamed up with Roger Vivier for a short film showcasing the brand’s iconic style.
She followed in the footsteps of Laura Fern for the second edition of ‘Vivier Express Travelling Icons’, which takes place on an Orient Express style set with a film noir twist.
In the video, she sports the I Love Vivier red suede pumps, and has a Viv’ Choc handbag nearby.
The brand’s creative director Gherardo Felloni has hailed Green as “perfect” for his vision, as he took inspiration from “noir films from the ‘40s and ‘50s associated with a low-key, black–and-white visual style”.
The style has its roots “in German Expressionism cinematography”.
He said: “It is a world where shadows speak, and every glance hides a secret.
“I envisioned Eva Green as our modern-day femme fatale, not just wearing the shoes and accessories but bringing them to life, infusing them with a sense of danger and desire.”
The pair met earlier this year, and shared a “long conversation” about their shared passion for cinema and fashion.
Green said: “It was a joy to meet Gherado in person. He is kind, creative and funny. These are three excellent qualities that I admire in a man.”
She also praised the brand’s ability “to fuse elegance with fantasy”.
She continued: “Gherado creates an alchemy which is sophisticated and intelligent. But it’s also an invitation for playfulness and dreams.
“It’s a brand that reminds us beauty can be both endlessly thoughtful and expressive.”
