Prince Harry has the sexiest beard

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry has topped a poll for having the sexiest beard.
The 33-year-old royal has been named the man with the best facial hair in a survey carried out by Crown Clinic in Manchester, which is Britain’s leading hair transplant centre.
And the outcome of the study has shown Harry – who is currently dating ‘Suits’ actress Meghan Markle – has been hailed a “trendsetter” as he has made the biggest impression on the public with his stubble, beating ‘La La Land’ actor Ryan Gosling to the hot spot.
The Crown Clinic surgeon, Asim Shahmalak, said: “Prince Harry is a trendsetter for lots of men around the world and the reaction to his beard has been universally positive.
“While he looks great with his ginger fuzz, the sad fact is almost half the men in the UK cannot grow a full beard like Harry.”
Harry has also pipped 42-year-old actor Bradley Cooper to the number one position, as the ‘American Sniper’ hunk has been ranked in third place, below the 36-year-old ‘The Notebook’ heartthrob.
The study has even ranked footballers Harry Kane, 24, and David Beckham, 42, – who previously claimed the title – in fourth and fifth place.
However, the former England captain is ranked higher than 49-year-old actor Hugh Jackman, who is known for having a full face of hair for his role as the blade-yielding mutant Wolverine in ‘The X-Men’.
However, ‘Cry Me A River’ hitmaker Justin Timberlake as well as actors Brad Pitt, Joaquin Phoenix and Jim Carrey didn’t even make the top 10 best beards list and actually fell into the five worst beards category.
As part of the study people also voted on how attractive they considered a male to be based on their appearance, and almost 40 per cent of women who carried out the poll think men are less appealing when they have a beard as 62 per cent of them prefer men to be clean shaven.
The study has also found that almost 50 per cent of men struggle to grow facial hair at all.

Prince Harry praises the late Princess Diana

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry says his late mother felt a “responsibility” to “shine her spotlight” on issues being ignored.
The 33-year-old royal collected the Legacy Award at the Attitude Awards, which took place at London’s Roundhouse on Thursday (12.10.17), on behalf of Princess Diana – who tragically passed away in 1997 aged 36 years old – and on picking up the accolade, that posthumously recognises Diana’s charity work, Harry spoke out about the inspiration behind his parent’s projects.
Speaking at the star-studded bash, the red head said: “She felt a responsibility to shine her spotlight on the people and issues that were often ignored. She knew that AIDS was one of the things that many wanted to ignore and seemed like a hopeless challenge.”
Diana – who set up the UK’s first HIV/Aids unit at London Middlesex Hospital in 1987 – “knew exactly” what she was doing when she met with a man who had HIV and took off her gloves to greet him.
Harry continued: “She knew that the misunderstanding of this relatively new disease was creating a dangerous situation when mixed with homophobia.
“So, when, that April [in 1987], she took the hand of a 32-year-old man with HIV, in front of the cameras, she knew exactly what she was doing.”
And Harry has admitted he and his older brother the Duke of Cambridge, 35, are “incredibly proud” of their mother’s achievements.
Harry added: “[We are] incredibly proud of what our mother achieved.
“I believe that she would be telling everyone across society – not just those most at risk – that with effective treatment being free and available in the UK, that we must all embrace regular testing – both for our own sake and for those that we love.”
And once Harry received the award the publication revealed one of its limited edition magazine covers, which features Diana on the front.

The Duke of Cambridge commemorates soldiers who fought in the Battle of Passchendaele

OHMYGOSSIP — The Duke of Cambridge commemorates those who fought in the Battle of Passchendaele.
The 35-year-old royal praised the New Zealand Division who fought in the 1917 war in Belgium at a commemoration ceremony held in the European country on Thursday (12.10.17) to mark 100 years since the horrific event, which saw almost 1000 soldiers killed or seriously injured.
And in the service Prince William recognised those who risked their lives as anything other than “ordinary”.
Speaking at the event, which has been reported on stuff.co.nz, Prince William said: “All too often the newsreels speak of ‘ordinary’ men and women. There was nothing ordinary about their service or their sacrifice.”
And William – who has four-year-old son Prince George and two-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte with his wife the Duchess of Cambridge – met with the only surviving Victoria Cross recipient named Willie Apiata during his visit.
When William met with Willie the pair exchanged a hongi, which is the traditional Maori greeting where the people meeting press their noses and foreheads together.
William continued to praise the troops for showing “great resilience and strength of character”.
He said: “In battle and back home, New Zealanders demonstrated great resilience and strength of character, qualities we still admire in New Zealand today.
“The fight in these fields was of a magnitude and ferocity that is difficult for us, today, to fully comprehend.
“But while we may never truly understand, we can remember.
“The memory of those who fell here at Passchendaele has been kept alive for a century by New Zealand families.”
During the visit William laid a wreath at the New Zealand Memorial Wall as a tribute to those who tragically died.
And he also unveiled a plinth to mark the centenary of the Battle of Passchendaele.

Attitude magazine unveil exclusive cover of the late Princess Diana

OHMYGOSSIP — Attitude magazine unveiled an exclusive cover of the late Princess Diana at the Virgin Holidays Attitude Awards on Thursday (12.10.17).
The cover image of the nation’s sweetheart – who tragically passed away in 1997 aged 36 years old – was revealed at the star-studded bash at London’s Roundhouse last night to celebrate her posthumous Attitude Legacy Award, which was picked up by her son Prince Harry.
The gong recognises the late royal’s charity work throughout her lifetime, which saw her challenge the stigma around HIV and AIDS in the 1980s and 1990s.
Speaking about Diana, the Managing Director of Stream Publishing and Publisher of Attitude magazine, Darren Styles, said: “Behind Diana’s famous beauty and style, there was a radical firebrand driven by a passion for activism. Very few individuals had the power to change the mindset of millions of people at that time, but Diana knew that she was one of them — and she chose to wield her power to improve the lives of gay men suffering with HIV/AIDS.”
And Diana – who was married to Charles, Prince of Wales, for 15 years until 1996 – has been praised for “changing understanding” surrounding the diseases, by touching sick people without any masks or gloves.
Darren continued: “Without the expected mask, gown or gloves, she touched and embraced the sick and the dying, when the common misconception was sharing cutlery or a public bathroom would see you infected. It changed understanding, and it changed our world. 2017 may mark 20 years since the death of the Princess. But it also marks 30 years since the start of her HIV activism, and her opening of the UK’s first hospital unit dedicated to HIV/AIDS. And that’s what Attitude is commemorating by posthumously awarding Diana, Princess of Wales, our Legacy Award.”
The imagery of Diana, which was photographed by Patrick Demarchelier, is one of six limited edition winners’ covers and is available to download or purchase in stores now.

President Trump won’t meet the Queen next year

OHMYGOSSIP — President Donald Trump will not meet the Queen when he visits Britain next year.
The 71-year-old US leader is set to head across the pond in January in a “scaled-down working trip” but he won’t be staying at Buckingham Palace nor will he cross paths with the monarch this time around, according to the Telegraph newspaper.
Trump is reportedly being lined up to jet to the UK in order to open America’s new embassy in London and are expected to take place as soon as possible.
A source told the publication: “There are plenty of chances to get the President over here. We are opening our new embassy soon.”
But, even if the President doesn’t head to London, the US embassy – based near Battersea Power Station – will still open at the beginning of 2018.
However, although he won’t get to meet the 91-year-old royal in January, it’s believed the queen has invited him and his wife Melania Trump to Windsor Castle.
A source said: “Discussions between British officials and Trump’s team are expected to begin soon to ensure that a date can be agreed for June or July next year.”
It was also reported last year that Trump had discussed a visit to the UK to see Queen Elizabeth and that his mother was a big fan of the monarch.
An insider said “He’s looking forward to it. He’s a massive Anglophile. He was really, really keen. His late mother, Mary, [who was born in Scotland] loved the Queen. He said, ‘I’m going to meet her, too. I can’t wait to come over to England. My mother would be chuffed to bits when I meet the Queen.’ ”

Prince Harry to announce engagement ‘soon’

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will announce their engagement “soon.”
The happy couple – who have been dating just over a year – have reportedly already taken their relationship to the next level but the flame-haired prince doesn’t want to tell the world about their happy news until he’s celebrated with his relatives first.
A source told Us Magazine: “He [Harry] always planned to share the news only with family [Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and Prince William] at first so he could enjoy it before word spread. But they will make an official announcement soon.”
The ‘Suits’ actress’ friends believe they’ll announce the news once Meghan has wrapped up her seventh and final season of her USA Network show in November. The insider explained to the magazine: “It’d be a security nightmare to do it [make the announcement] sooner. She’d be followed everywhere!”
And, once they have decided to share the news, the 36-year-old star will move from her home in Toronto, Canada, to Harry’s mansion in Kensington Palace in London.
The insider added: “She’ll relocate to London for sure. There, she’ll be on hand to help plan a detailed media rollout. They will most likely hold a small photo call at Kensington Palace, with just one photographer and journalist invited. On the same day, they’ll do a TV interview that will be syndicated around the world.”
Since Harry, 33, and Meghan started dating, the brunette beauty has been given round the clock security because of her high-profile romance.
A resident living near Meghan said: “She hasn’t been around much for the last few days – Friday night they were here. I tell you, when he’s [Harry] here, the street is full of police and security people. They just go straight in and they don’t come out.”

Queen won’t lay wreath during Remembrance Sunday ceremony

OHMYGOSSIP — The Queen will not lay a wreath during this year’s Remembrance Sunday ceremony.
The 91-year-old monarch will not place the floral arrangement at the Cenotaph on Whitehall in London this year and, instead, will watch from the balcony of the Foreign Office with her husband Prince Philip, while their son Prince Charles – who has taken over some of her duties – lays the tribute on behalf of the nation on November 12.
A Buckingham Palace spokeswoman told the BBC: “The Queen wishes to be alongside the Duke of Edinburgh and he will be in the balcony.”
BBC Royal correspondent Peter Hunt said the change was “another sign of the Royal Family in transition”, as well as “an acknowledgment of the fact the Queen is 91.”
This will be the seventh time she hasn’t laid the wreath since her coronation.
She previously missed out in 1959 and 1963 during her pregnancies with Prince Andrew and Prince Edward and then when she was on visits abroad – Ghana in 1961, Brazil in 1968, Kenya in 1983 and South Africa in 1999.
Charles, 68, laid the wreath on her behalf when she was in Kenya and was reportedly her first choice when deciding who should take her place this year.
Her decision to stand with her husband on the balcony this time around comes just months after he announced his retirement from his royal duties.
Despite his decision to step down, the 95-year-old royal – who has battled with ill-health over the past few years – is still allowed to attend “certain public events from time to time” if he chooses to.
A statement said at the time: “Although he may still choose to attend certain public events from time to time.”

SNP votes to stop the Royal Family’s public funding

OHMYGOSSIP — Members of the Scottish National Party (SNP) have voted to stop the Royal Family’s public funding.
The political party – which is led by the First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon – overwhelmingly voted against public funding after its members were told that the Queen is “purring all the way to the bank” by Julie Hepburn, the Nationalists’ political education convener, at the party conference in Glasgow.
She said: “It’s basically the equivalent of the Royal Family winning the lottery every single year.
“No need for the Royal Household to play Euromillions, with the Sovereign Grant Her Majesty is purring all the way to the bank.”
What’s more, Hepburn said that “there can be no moral justification for giving just one family over £70 million” at a time of austerity, while she also implored SNP members to “see how ordinary people are being shafted by a rich elite”.
She said, too, that the Sovereign Grant was “a symbol of everything that is rotten at the core of the UK’s political system”, adding that in an independent Scotland, everyone would be treated as “valued citizens, not subjects”.
On the other hand, Jackson Carlaw of the Scottish Conservative Party defended the Royal Family’s public funding.
Speaking after the controversial vote took place, Carlaw responded: “This is unsurprising given how extreme and out-of-touch so many elements of the nationalist conference delegation are.
“What they need to remember is people in Scotland like and respect the Monarchy, and would disagree entirely with the conclusion of this vote.”

The Crown is set to explore the royal relationship with Nazis

OHMYGOSSIP — Netflix drama ‘The Crown’ is set to explore the British Royal Family’s relationship with the Nazi party.
The popular TV series, which stars actress Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth, is poised to dedicate a future episode to Edward VIII and his dealings with the ruling power in Germany at the start of World War Two.
In particular, the episode will focus on his relationship with the Nazis after he abdicated the throne.
Of course, it is not the first time that the much-discussed show will have explored a controversial topic, having previously portrayed supposed arguments between the newlywed Queen and Prince Philip, as well as Princess Margaret’s love life.
Robert Lacey, the historian and author of the show’s companion book, revealed the plans for the programme during his recent appearance at the Cheltenham Literature Festival.
Lacey, 73, said he was conscious of criticism of the series, including the decision to previously shy away from Edward VIII’s controversial meeting with German leader Adolf Hitler in 1937, and was keen to see the issues addressed in the new season.
He said, according to the Daily Telegraph newspaper: “Somebody said to me the other day, the problem with your Edward VIII is that you don’t talk about his Nazi side so I don’t watch it any more.
“Well just to tell you, season two starts in December and there is a whole episode addressing this question of Hitler and the Windsors and all these subtle points.”
The second series of ‘The Crown’, which also stars the likes of Matt Smith and John Lithgow, is set to premiere on Netflix on December 8.

Meghan Markle ‘has the makings of a princess’

OHMYGOSSIP — Meghan Markle has “all the makings of a princess”.
The 36-year-old actress has been dating Prince Harry since mid-2016 and according to Tatler magazine fashion director Sophie Goodwin, the style-conscious beauty has all of the necessary attributes to join the royal family.
She told PEOPLE: “Meghan has all the makings of a princess.”
In recent months, there have been persistent rumours that the flame-haired Prince is poised to propose to Meghan.
And he has already introduced the brunette beauty to his grandmother Queen Elizabeth, after they returned from their three-week trip in Botswana and Zambia in early September.
A source said at the time: “Harry decided to take Meghan to visit as he hadn’t been up yet all summer.
“He wanted to introduce Meghan to the queen. It went well. It’ll no doubt be the first of many encounters. The entire weekend was a success. He was able to introduce someone he loves to someone he cares for deeply.”
Meanwhile, it has also been reported that Meghan has asked the Duchess of Cambridge to be her maid of honour.
Meghan has not yet been asked by Harry to have her hand in marriage, but the actress has already started to put plans in place for her big day, including inviting Duchess Catherine – who is married to Harry’s older brother Prince William – to be her chief bridesmaid.
According to the report, Meghan sent her soon-to-be sister-in-law a rose gold diamond bracelet, which is believed to have cost Meghan over £1,000, alongside a note asking Catherine to take on the important role.

Duchess of Cambridge is suffering with morning sickness

OHMYGOSSIP — Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge is suffering from morning sickness.
The 35-year-old royal – who already has kids Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two, with her husband Prince William – is currently pregnant with her third child, and after she made her first public appearance in six weeks at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday night (10.10.17), an aide offered an update on her current health situation.
The aide – who was speaking at the event on World Mental Health Day – told HELLO! magazine: “The Duchess’ condition is improving but she is still suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum. She is delighted to be able to be here tonight.”
Stephen Fry, the president of mental health charity Mind, also thanked the Duchess for making the effort to attend the reception at Buckingham Palace.
He said: “I do understand she’s been having this problem more severely than many pregnant mothers and so we’re very grateful (she’s here).”
The actor also explained the need to make people more aware of mental health issues.
Stephen – who has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder – said that the event underlined the change in the public’s thinking about mental health.
The comedian said: “When mental health is discussed here under these chandeliers in front of these portraits it does have a meaning it does show a change in our society’s ability to look at problems like mental health.”
Duchess Catherine and her husband have both played leading roles in the Heads Together initiative, which is designed to support people with mental health troubles.
And Stephen has hailed the work of the young royals.
He explained: “No one would realise if they hadn’t done it, which makes it all the more remarkable that they have.”

Prince Harry set to attend 100 Women in Finance bash

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry is set to dine at the 100 Women in Finance event at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London today (11.10.17).
The 33-year-old royal – who is dating ‘Suits’ actress Meghan Markle – will attend the annual event, which is designed to raise money for WellChild, and Prince Harry will even be making a speech.
100 Women in Finance counts Prince Harry and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge among the non-profit organisation’s list of patrons, and the flame-haired royal made an appearance at the same event in 2016.
Since then, a considerable amount of attention has focused on the Prince’s romance with Meghan and earlier this month, a source claimed that the high-profile duo are “as good as engaged”.
Prince Harry is reportedly waiting until the right moment to make a formal announcement of the couple’s plan to marry each other.
A source explained: “While Meghan may not be wearing a ring or a formal engagement announced, it’s fair to say they’re as good as engaged now.
“They’ve spoken about their marriage plans openly with each other, and friends and family around them are pretty much thinking about wedding attire already!”
What’s more, body language expert Dr. Lillian Glass previously revealed Prince Harry is more “relaxed” with Meghan than he was with his previous girlfriends, such as Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas.
She said: “First of all, we’ve never seen Harry this relaxed with anybody. That’s number one.
“Every girl he’s been with, there’s kind of been a distancing, an uptightness about him, a real formality. But with Meghan you really see there’s a connection.”

Prince Charles urged government to reconsider fox hunting ban

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Charles urged former British Prime Minister Tony Blair to reconsider his government’s ban on fox hunting.
The 68-year-old royal wrote to Blair in 2002 in a bid to halt plans to push a ban through Parliament, with Prince Charles describing the now-outlawed sport as “romantic” and environmentally friendly”.
In the controversial letter – which has been unearthed by the Mail on Sunday newspaper – he says: “There are a number of former hunt saboteurs and passionate opponents of hunting who have … come to the conclusion that the welfare of the actual fox is best ensured by a continuation of hunting … Their fellow opponents are chiefly driven by agendas other than the welfare of the fox – namely their antipathy to the type of person who they think goes out hunting.”
Prince Charles – who has frequently been accused of trying to meddle in political matters – is a supporter of fox hunting, having first taken up the sport at the age of 26.
But his influence couldn’t halt the fox hunting ban, which came into force in the UK in 2005.
Despite the controversy that continues to surround Prince Charles’ political statements, Oxford politics Professor Vernon Bogdanor recently insisted he has the right to express his views in public.
Professor Bogdanor explained: “The rights of the Monarch are to be consulted, to encourage and to warn. He is not the Monarch so has no right to be consulted but he has the right to encourage and to warn.”

Queen Elizabeth set for return to London

OHMYGOSSIP — Queen Elizabeth is returning to London today (10.10.17) after spending nearly three months at Balmoral Castle.
The 91-year-old Monarch is set to carry on her royal duties at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, having spent an extended period of time at her residence in Scotland.
The move to enjoy more time at Balmoral is part of a long-term plan, dubbed the Scottish plan, for the Queen to spend an increasing amount of her time north of the border.
A source explained to the Daily Express newspaper: “She loves Scotland, it has always been a great comfort to her, where she is happiest and most relaxed. She’s a different person up there. Everyone will play it by ear but the feeling is the Scottish plan will be what she wants to do.”
What’s more, it’s been claimed that the Queen believes her actual geographic location is immaterial.
And the rota of her staff has been organised in such a way that she always has key figures around her, irrespective of where she may be.
The insider added: “She knows you can look through a red box [for Government papers], have an audience and host a reception anywhere.”
The Queen and her husband, Prince Philip, are increasingly handing over more and more of their official duties to other, younger members of the royal family.
Prince Charles, for instance, has increased his official overseas visits, because the Queen no longer does long haul journeys.
And as a result, she’s now able to spend six months of the year at Buckingham Palace.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte ‘are influencing fashion trends’

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince George and Princess Charlotte have started to influence fashion trends, according to consumer experts.
The four-year-old prince wore a blue jumper during the royals’ tour of Canada in 2016, prompting a 200 percent spike in searches for the term ‘blue jumper’, and his two-year-old sister is having a similar impact with her own attire.
An eBay spokesman said: “Her yellow cardigan worn in her birthday picture sparked the biggest percentage increase in searches for an item of clothing worn by any royal.”
Murray Lambell, vice president of trading at eBay, said that despite Duchess Catherine being known for her stylish attire, it is the youngest generation of royals who are, in fact, proving to be most influential.
He added: “It’s the youngest generation of royals who really generate the must-have fashion items – and are driving a new generation of shopping behaviour on eBay.”
Meanwhile, a body language expert recently claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are never seen holding hands in public because they don’t feel the need to prove their love for each other.
Robin Kermode observed that the duo don’t like to parade their love while they’re both on official royal engagements.
The expert explained: “It is very clear that William and Catherine are emotionally close, however, they do not seem to feel the need to prove their love – particularly when on official state business.
“They come across as a strong, independent couple and while they are always on show, they do not feel the need to ‘show’ their love for each other to the world.”
