Meghan Markle back in London to see Prince Harry

OHMYGOSSIP — Meghan Markle reportedly flew to London this weekend to spend time with her boyfriend Prince Harry.
The 36-year-old actress is believed to have flown from Toronto, Canada, where she films her legal drama ‘Suits’, on Saturday (18.11.17) in order to land in London where her flame-haired royal beau resides.
It is unknown how long Meghan plans to stay in the English capital, but it comes as Harry’s grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, hosted a family dinner to commemorate their 70th wedding anniversary.
According to Hello! magazine, the brunette beauty wrapped up filming on ‘Suits’ last week, and has now headed to London to spend her well-deserved time off with 33-year-old Prince Harry.
The news of their rapidly moving romance comes after it was previously reported that Meghan was keen to move her pet pooches – a Labrador/shepherd mix named Bogart and a beagle called Guy – to the UK, as she’s looking to move to the country permanently, and misses her dogs when she’s away from them.
A source said: “She is very close to those two dogs. She lets them sleep on her bed and they eat only the highest quality organic food.
“She misses them when she is away and will even get someone to FaceTime her with them.
“The fact she’s started the process of moving them to England is the clearest hint yet that she sees her future living in London with Harry.”
And the reports only add to speculation that an engagement is on the cards, with some sources suggesting the pair have already taken their relationship to the next level, but are waiting before they tell the world.
One insider said: “He [Harry] always planned to share the news only with family [Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and Prince William] at first so he could enjoy it before word spread. But they will make an official announcement soon.”

Prince William isn’t a good cook

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William isn’t a “very good” cook.
The 35-year-old royal has admitted that whilst he loves to chow down on a variety of different foods, he’ll never be caught cooking a dish himself as he’s terrible in the kitchen.
He said: “I do like cooking but I’m not very good.”
And the Prince – who has four-year-old Prince George and two-year-old Princess Charlotte with his wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, with whom he is also expecting his third child – also admitted his favourite meal is a classic roast dinner, and said he likes his meat to be “quite alive” when he eats it.
He added: “I like a roast. So a bit of roast chicken or a steak. I like it medium rare. I like it quite alive.”
Prince William spoke as he attended charity cook-off over the weekend, where he helped former ‘MasterChef’ winner Steve Groves, head chef at Roux, judge two competing teams at a champagne breakfast raising money to help young homeless people.
The two teams – which were comprised of members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the charity LandAid – were tasked with cooking mackerel with citrus dressing, sesame seeds, and heritage carrot, and the royal had no problems joking about the outcomes with the contestants.
Speaking to chief executive of RICS Sean Tompkins – who was cooking alongside 21-year-old Rihana Senay who has been homeless three times – William joked: “Is that it? Is there anything on that?”
However, even with his jibes, William and Steve eventually crowned the rival team of LandAid’s chief executive Paul Morrish and Sean Marsay, 26, a former homeless man from Scarborough as the winners of the cook-off.
Prince William’s visit to the charity event comes after he previously slammed the figure of 80,000 young homeless every year as “outrageous”.
He said: “Centrepoint, a charity that I have been proud to support for many years, estimates that well over 80,000 young people experience homelessness every single year.
“When I meet young people in this situation, I see the very human face of this outrageous statistic, I hear the individual stories of young people who have lived through, or are living through, this situation now.
“I am determined to do what I can to help end the situation where bright, able, and ambitious young people are left vulnerable and without a future.”

Princess Diana would approve of Prince Harry’s romance

OHMYGOSSIP — The late Princess Diana would approve of her son Prince Harry’s romance with Meghan Markle, according to a royal commentator.
Richard Fitzwilliams has claimed that the late royal – who passed away in 1997 after being involved in a fatal car crash in Paris, France – “would be proud” of the idea of a possible engagement between her youngest son Harry, 33, and his girlfriend Meghan.
Engagement rumours have been circling for months, and Richard believes the ‘Suits’ actress, 36, is “ideally placed to enhance the royal brand” because of the “charitable activities” she partakes in.
He said: “Harry’s forthcoming marriage will open a new and exciting chapter in the history of the House of Windsor.
“It is already the world’s most high profile royal family and Meghan’s links with show business and activism should mean that the charitable activities of the younger royals enjoy a global profile that is even wider.
“Meghan is placed to help fulfil the fondest wish of both princes, that Diana would be proud of what they achieve to help others.”
Although Harry is yet to pop the question to Meghan, Richard believes an engagement “seems imminent”.
He added to Express.co.uk: “The monarchy seems in safe hands because of the popularity of their grandchildren as well as their remarkable charitable work and the succession is assured.
“The announcement of Prince Harry’s engagement to the divorced American actress and humanitarian activist Meghan Markle seems imminent and this will be accompanied by an avalanche of publicity.”
It comes as it was recently reported that Meghan is relocating her pet dogs to the UK because she “misses” them when she’s away from home, which has set tongues wagging that she could looking to stay in Britain more permanently.

Prince Charles visits Hurricane Irma survivors

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Charles has met with the survivors of Hurricane Irma.
The 68-year-old royal visited the British Virgin Island of Tortola over the weekend, where he was taken to see battered and crushed high school buildings, which were devastated by the natural disaster which took hold of the islands in September.
Whilst in Tortola, Charles had the chance to meet with some of those who had survived the hurricane, as his motorcade stopped at Elmore Stoutt High School, the main secondary school on the island, which has been left to the elements after being badly damaged in the destruction.
The royal also met with Virgin boss Sir Richard Branson during a reception being held on the island for organisations and individuals who played their part in helping during the aftermath of the natural disaster.
Richard said: “As far as the British Virgin Islands are concerned the people were magnificent in the way they pulled together, everybody’s helping everybody. People have lost their homes and others are putting them up, everybody’s helping trying to get water back and electricity back on, and it’s been tremendous.
“Strangely I sometimes think that in these crisis situations the community comes out even stronger after, then before. In times of trouble people pull together like never before, it’s been like a war situation.”
Prince Charles’ visit to the Caribbean islands comes as part of the three-day trip to see for himself, alongside International Development Secretary Penny Mordaunt, the destruction caused by both Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria, after they tore through the region in September.
The Prince of Wales also paid visits to Barbuda, where he witnessed homes that had been ripped from their foundations, and Dominica, where he met with those who survived Hurricane Maria, the second disaster to strike the island in one month.
Charles also attended a reception at the Roseau Botanic Gardens where he presented its director with a letter from Richard Deverell, director of Kew Gardens, of which the Prince is patron, promising to offer support and assistance where needed.

Prince William and Duchess Catherine to attend Royal Variety Performance

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, will attend the Royal Variety Performance on Friday (24.11.17).
The 35-year-old royal and his wife – who is currently expecting the pair’s third child – have been announced by Kensington Palace as the royal couple who will attend the entertainment extravaganza being held at the Palladium Theatre in London later this week.
The Royal Variety Performance is an annual event held in aid of the Royal Variety Charity – of which Queen Elizabeth is the royal patron – and all money raised from the evening helps hundreds of entertainers throughout the UK, who need help and assistance as a result of old age, ill-health, or hard times.
Members of the royal family take it in turns to attend the event, and for Prince William and Duchess Catherine – who already have four-year-old Prince George and two-year-old Princess Charlotte together – this year will mark their second outing, after having made their debut at the event in 2014.
This year, the performance will be hosted by comedian and actress Miranda Hart, with musicians including The Killers, Louis Tomlinson, Seal, James Blunt, The Script, Michael Ball and Alfie Boe, and Paloma Faith all set to take to the stage.
‘Frasier’ actor Kelsey Grammer will also be performing at the event, as will the casts of ‘Big Fish’, ‘Annie’, and ’42nd Street’, West End divas Beverley Knight, Cassidy Janson and Amber Riley, ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ winner Tokio Myers, and comedians Jason Manford and Tom Allen.
Both before and after the show, William and Catherine will have the chance to meet with the performers.
Previously, host Miranda said she was excited to be able to “smash a glass ceiling” as the first female solo host of the Royal Variety Performance.
She said: “If you don’t mind me I am just going to smash a glass ceiling and be the first woman to host the Royal Variety. That felt good!
“It’s thrilling for me because of that, and because I am hugely proud to be part of such an important event in our comedy and variety heritage as the Royal Variety Performance.
“The young-wannabe-comedian me who watched the show every year would be just as excited to hear that grown-up me is going to be hosting – only I’ll be doing it without the 1970s pudding bowl haircut that made me look like a young male monk!”

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip commission new portrait

OHMYGOSSIP — Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with a new portrait.
The 91-year-old monarch and her husband married in a ceremony at Westminster Abbey on November 20 1947, and on Monday (20.11.17), they celebrated reaching a whopping 70 years of married life together.
To commemorate their special day, the pair have posed for a new portrait in the the White Drawing Room at Windsor Castle, where they are framed on either side by portraits painted in 1781 of George III and Queen Charlotte, who were married for 57 years – the longest royal marriage until their own.
In the photograph – which was snapped by Matt Holyoak of the Camera Press, which is also celebrating its 70th year – Queen Elizabeth is wearing a a cream day dress by Angela Kelly, accompanied by a gold, ruby and diamond brooch Prince Philip gave her in 1966.
The Duke of Edinburgh, meanwhile, is wearing a tweed jacket and burgundy tie.
The commemorative portrait was revealed on Sunday (19.11.17), one day before their official anniversary, and on the same day, an interview was aired with Queen Elizabeth’s cousin Prince Michael of Kent, who served as the pageboy at her wedding.
Speaking to soprano Katherine Jenkins on ‘Songs of Praise’ on BBC One, the 75-year-old royal recalled the “exciting moment” he saw his older cousin walk down the aisle.
He said: “It was a very exciting moment. It was in November, just after the war when everything was very grim and there wasn’t very much to brighten up people’s lives. So suddenly they had this tremendous, exciting service and it was something that radiated in people’s lives.”
Michael – who was just five when he took part in the ceremony – also recalls the “daunting” task of being the pageboy at the important event.
He said: “It was quite daunting because first of all the train was very heavy and it was quite a long way to go all the way down the Abbey, so one had to behave properly. I behaved particularly well. And going round corners was complicated, not treading on it was complicated, I seem to remember, and then one had shoes with buckles on.”

Prince William had difficulties adapting to parenthood

OHMYGOSSIP — The Duke of Cambridge reportedly had difficulties adapting to parenthood.
Prince William’s wife Duchess Catherine opened up to a single father, named Billy, about how her husband was “similar” to the single parent as he too found it hard being a dad during her visit to the Hornsey Road Children’s Centre earlier this week.
Speaking to Hello! Online about his encounter with Catherine, billy – who is bringing up his seven-month-old daughter Violet single-handedly – said: “She was saying William was sort of similar and I just wanted to let her know how Family Action have been there for me and I think they need more support.”
Catherine – who was formerly known as Kate Middleton before she married the 35-year-old royal – have four-year-old son Prince George and two-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte together, but they are also expecting their third child, who is due to be born in April next year.
During the trip Catherine also spoke to guests about her children’s hobbies, and revealed her oldest child is obsessed with helicopters.
A mother named Michelle recalled her conversation with the 35-year-old beauty. She said: “She was asking about what Jacob liked and he said he liked aeroplanes and she was asking if he’d seen a Spitfire and we said we liked going to the Science Museum and RAF museum.
“She was saying how George likes helicopters–she was saying about the top floor of the Science Museum where the helicopters are.”
Catherine was due to visit the children’s centre – which offers support to those expecting children, new mothers, as well as antenatal, prenatal, family support services and child support – in September this year, but was forced to postpone the royal engagement because she was suffering from terrible morning sickness.

The Duke of Edinburgh tried his ‘utmost’ to help Diana

OHMYGOSSIP — The Duke of Edinburgh tried his “utmost” to help the late Princess Diana during her marriage breakdown.
Prince Philip – who is the father of Charles, Prince of Wales – reportedly tried to help Diana and Charles’ relationship by talking to both parties in the hope the pair would reconcile.
Royal expert, Ingrid Seward, wrote in his column on the Daily Mail: “First, Prince Philip tried to talk to Charles about his marital difficulties and the effect they were having on the royal institution. It was meant as fatherly advice, but because of the distant nature of their relationship, the conversations usually ended with Charles looking at his watch and making an excuse to leave the room.
“He also tried reaching out to his unhappy daughter-in-law by writing her dozens of letters.
“In one of these, he told her that he wished ‘to do my utmost to help you and Charles to the best of my ability. But I am quite ready to concede that I have no talent as a marriage counsellor!’
“To start with, the letters — which he signed ‘Pa’ — were very sympathetic. He said that he knew first-hand the difficulties of marrying into the Royal Family and seemed to place much of the blame for her marital problems on Charles.”
In the letters penned to the Princess of Wales – who split with Charles in 1996, one year before she tragically passed away – Philip acknowledged the pair had “lovers”, but the 96-year-old royal admitted Charles’s romance with Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, was “silly” and a “risk”.
Ingrid continued: “[Philip said] ‘We do not approve of either of you having lovers. Charles was silly to risk everything with Camilla for a man in his position. We never dreamed he might feel like leaving you for her. I cannot imagine anyone in their right mind leaving you for Camilla. Such a prospect never even entered our heads.'”
But Philip’s “efforts” were unsuccessful, and he soon gave up on helping the duo and started to “snub” Diana.
Ingrid said: “But his efforts were to no avail. In June 1992, while the Queen and Philip were at Windsor Castle, the Sunday Times began to serialise Andrew Morton’s book ‘Diana: Her True Story.’ They were stunned by what they read.
“As the second instalment of Morton’s revelations was rolling off the presses, Diana attended Royal Ascot with the rest of the family. Quite deliberately, Philip snubbed her in full view of all the top-hatted people in the Royal Enclosure.
“Finally, a summit meeting was held at Windsor for the Prince and Princess of Wales to discuss the state of their marriage with Elizabeth and Philip.
“Diana maintained that the only solution was a separation, but the Queen hoped a compromise would be possible for the sake of the children and the monarchy. When the Princess failed to show up at a planned second meeting, Philip decided to take matters into his own hands. In further letters to Diana — and occasionally face to face — he let her know exactly what he thought in language that was blunt and to the point, though not meant to be unkind.”
But Diana – who has sons Prince William, 35, and Prince Harry, 33 – did not take too kindly to the comments, which caused her relationship with Philip to “degenerate rapidly”.
Ingrid explained: “Diana responded to that rap across her knuckles by announcing her retirement from public life, thereby turning rebuke to advantage and securing another sheaf of headlines of the kind that Philip had been so anxious to avoid.
“Her relationship with her father-in-law degenerated rapidly. She told her friend Teddy Forstmann, an American billionaire, that she hated the Duke — and she said the same to me when I saw her at Kensington Palace shortly before her death.”

The 36-year-old actress is believed to be relocating her to pet pooches Bogart, which is a Labrador/ shepherd mix, and her beagle named Guy, to the UK, and this news has set tongues wagging the ‘Suits’ star is looking to stay in Britain more permanently.
It is believed Meghan is keen to move her rescue dogs because she “misses” her animals when she is away from them and will FaceTime the pair when she is out of the country because she longs to see their soppy faces.
A source told The Sun Online: “She is very close to those two dogs. She lets them sleep on her bed and they eat only the highest quality organic food.
“She misses them when she is away and will even get someone to FaceTime her with them.

The insider added: “She bought them Union flag dog jumpers to keep them warm when they were puppies.”

Meghan Markle ‘set to attend Serena Wiliams’ wedding’

OHMYGOSSIP — Meghan Markle will reportedly be among the guests at Serena Williams’ wedding later today (16.11.17).
The Grand Slam-winning tennis star is poised to tie the knot with Alexis Ohanian, who is the co-founder and executive chairman of Reddit, in an intimate ceremony at New Orleans’ Contemporary Arts Center.
The high-profile couple have made a conscious effort to keep details of their wedding day under wraps, with guests being warned against posting images on social media.
In fact, the attendees – who are also expected to include the likes of Ciara, Kelly Rowland and Eva Longoria – have not even been told the wedding location, according to the New York Post newspaper.
But Meghan, who is Prince Harry’s girlfriend, is expected to be present at the nuptials, having developed a close friendship with Serena over the years.
Meanwhile, a source recently claimed that Meghan and Harry – who have been dating since mid-2016 – are already “as good as engaged”.
The flame-haired royal is reportedly waiting until the right moment to make a formal announcement of the couple’s plan to marry each other.
An insider recently explained: “While Meghan may not be wearing a ring or a formal engagement announced, it’s fair to say they’re as good as engaged now.
“They’ve spoken about their marriage plans openly with each other, and friends and family around them are pretty much thinking about wedding attire already!”
Prior to that, body language expert Dr. Lillian Glass claimed Harry is more “relaxed” with Meghan than he was with his previous girlfriends.
She said: “First of all, we’ve never seen Harry this relaxed with anybody. That’s number one. Every girl he’s been with, there’s kind of been a distancing, an uptightness about him, a real formality. But with Meghan you really see there’s a connection.”

Prince William and Prince Harry make cameos in Star Wars: The Last Jedi

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William and Prince Harry will make cameo appearances in the new ‘Star Wars’ movie.
The British royals have joined the likes of Tom Hardy and Gary Barlow in becoming Stormtroopers in the much-anticipated ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’, which is set for release next month.
According to sources at The Hollywood Reporter, all four famous faces appear in the same scene, but because they will be wearing the iconic Stormtroopers outfit, it will be impossible for moviegoers to identify who is who.
John Boyega, who plays the role of Finn in the money-spinning sci-fi franchise, said that sharing a scene with them “wrapped in Stormtroopers costumes” made for a “strange contrast of a weird family”.
The London-born star told the publication: “It was a great experience. ”
John, 25, first revealed that the Princes, William and Harry, were poised to appear in the new movie earlier this year.
At the time, though, he remained tight-lipped about the extent of their roles in the film.
Asked whether they were given lines for their cameos in ‘The Last Jedi’, John replied: “I think they took that scene out.
“I’ve had enough with those secrets. They came on set. They were there. I’m sick of hiding it. It think it was leaked, anyway.”
John also admitted he’d grown tired of trying to deny the speculation surrounding the involvement of the Princes in the film.
He said: “There were images. Every time I get asked, I have to dodge it. I’m tired of dodging it. They were there. So was Tom Hardy.”

Princess Beatrice: I’ve learned to laugh off criticism

OHMYGOSSIP — Princess Beatrice has learned to laugh off her critics.
The 29-year-old royal has admitted to struggling with public scrutiny and growing up in the spotlight during her younger years, but Beatrice has grown to be more philosophical about criticism as she’s grown older.
She said: “My experience was about growing up and living a very public life and living in an overexposed environment. So that’s from being 18 and struggling with your weight to what fashion choices you are wearing.”
The criticism and ridicule directed towards the Princess was particularly severe after she wore a pretzel-shaped hat to Prince William and Duchess Catherine’s wedding in 2011.
The royal was conscious of what people were saying about her eye-catching attire at the wedding, but she subsequently laughed it off.
She told Vogue magazine: “When everyone else was saying ‘you look ridiculous’, you have to have a sense of humour.”
Princess Beatrice considers herself to be an eternal optimist, meaning she’s always keen to find the positives in any situation.
Of her outlook on life, the Princess – who is the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York – shared: “[It’s about] turning a negative into a positive is all about how you look at things.”
Meanwhile, the Princess recently admitted to being inspired by her mother’s strength of character.
Beatrice said: “We’ve been through some incredibly stressful times together as a family and every single minute she created joy.
“I am so lucky that I get to learn from her every single day. I’m inspired by her ability to give, even when she’s going through something hard.”

Prince William warns of dangers of social media

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William has warned of the dangers of social media as part of a campaign to tackle cyberbullying.
The 35-year-old British royal will today [16.11.17] announce a so-called green cross code for the 21st century, with the intention of informing young people how they should respond to being bullied over the web.
Prince William – who has joined forces with the likes of Apple, Facebook, Google, Snapchat and Twitter, among others, for the project – said: “I think it’s worth reminding everyone what the human tragedy of what we are talking about here isn’t just about companies and about online stuff.
“It’s actually real lives that get affected.
“And the consequences – that’s the big thing, the consequences – of what happens if things are not kept in check in terms of what we say and what we do, and we are still responsible for our own actions online. This anonymity is really, really dangerous.”
Prince William also stressed that there is marked difference between being bullied in the school playground and being teased over the internet.
The Prince – who heard the story of Lucy Alexander, whose 17-year-old son Felix took his own life after being bullied online – reflected: “It’s one thing when it happens in the playground and it’s visible there, and parents and teachers and other children can see it.
“Online you’re the only one who can see it so it’s personal. isn’t it? It goes straight to your room.”
Meanwhile, Carolyn Bunting, the CEO of Internet Matters, has echoed the Prince’s sentiment.
She said: “Children are born into a digital world; they are learning, communicating and growing up online.
“But the online world can pose certain risks, such as cyberbullying.
“Parents need to ensure they’ve had early conversations with their children about the importance of staying safe online and help build their digital resilience.”

The ‘Suits’ actress has been dating Prince Harry since mid-2016 and as rumours continue to swirl about a potential engagement, it’s been claimed that Meghan has been offered the chance to spend the festive season with the monarchy.
Meghan is said to be “thrilled” to have received the invitation and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge has even offered to put her mother Doria up in a guest bedroom at Anmer Hall to ensure she doesn’t spend Christmas alone in America.
A source told Closer magazine: “Kate’s offered to put Doria up in a guest bedroom at Anmer Hall – her and Wills’ country home in Norfolk.”
Duchess Catherine has reportedly developed a strong empathy with Meghan, as she’s also had to transition into becoming royalty since marrying Prince William in 2011.

Royal butlers use rulers to make cutlery straight

OHMYGOSSIP — A former butler at the Royal Household has revealed they had to use rulers to make sure the cutlery was straight.
Richard Kerrigan worked for the Royal Family at Buckingham Palace and has revealed just how far they had to go to make sure everything was perfect for state dinners.
He said: “It was a crazy time in my life. We’d lay the great table. When the plates are all set up, you’ve got to measure it with a ruler and make sure the plates are all in line. A lot of these functions have 180 guests [around the] big horseshoe shaped table and you’ve got to make sure the glasses are polished, the silvers in the right line.
“Out of 180 guests, there’s probably about four staff per eight or 10 guests. So you can imagine how many level of service we’re silver serving. [The Royal Family] do acknowledge you but they’re busy with their guests. But they do acknowledge you and say hi. They’re so nice. It’s amazing.”
And Kerrigan also revealed there was a “cool little [traffic light] system” to say when they could enter the room and when they weren’t aloud to.
Speaking on Australia’s The Morning Show, he added: “First of all, it was quite a cool little system as a traffic light system. We’re behind the scenes, and there’s a green and a red traffic light system. So we’re not allowed to go into the room when the little red light is on. So when there’s any speeches on or anything they want us to not know about – and as soon as they press the green button, we go in.”
