Sinead O’Connor converts to Islam

OHMYGOSSIP — Sinead O’Connor has converted to Islam and changed her name.
The ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ hitmaker is now going by the moniker Shuhada’, which means “martyrs” in Arabic, and says the conversion is the “natural conclusion of any intelligent theologian’s journey”.
She wrote on Twitter: “This is to announce that I am proud to have become a Muslim. This is the natural conclusion of any intelligent theologian’s journey. All scripture study leads to Islam. Which makes all other scriptures redundant. I will be given (another) new name. It will be Shuhada’
“Thank you so much to all my Muslim brothers and sisters who have been so kind as to welcome me to Ummah today on this page. You can’t begin to imagine how much your tenderness means to me(sic)”
The 51-year-old singer – whose full name is now Shuhada’ Davitt – shared a video of herself singing the Adhan, the Islamic call to prayer.
She tweeted: “Here is my 1st attempt at singing the Azan. I got some pronouncition wrong because emotions took me from my page… but there’ll be hundreds of others onstage to come … (sic)”
But she posted later: “Once I’ve practiced the Azan a hundred times I promise I’ll sing it much better than the one I’ve Posted. (sic)”
Sinead has shared a picture of herself wearing a hijab and changed her profile picture to a Nike tick logo featuring the words: “Wear a hijab. Just do it.”
In 2017, she changed her name to Magda Davitt and said at the time: “Sinead O’Connor is gone. That person is gone.”
This comes after the ‘Feel So Different’ singer was ordained by a Catholic fringe group in Lourdes, but the Catholic Church, where women cannot be priests, did not recognise the ceremony.
In 2007, Sinead said she considered herself a Christian, and added: “God loves everybody.”
Sinead has previously spoke openly about suffering from mental health issues, admitted last year she can be “difficult” at times.
She said: “The fact that there’s such stigma about mental illness means that the illness doesn’t get talked about.
“It’s not easy for families of mentally ill people. We can be difficult.”

Rod Stewart has ‘never’ cooked a meal

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Rod Stewart has “never” cooked himself a meal in his life.
The 73-year-old singing legend says it is “shameful” that he is yet to put a spot of dinner in the oven or frying pan, admitting the only thing he has ever made to eat is a “bit of toast”.
When asked if he has ever cooked a meal in his lifetime, he replied: “Never. I’ve made a bit of toast and a cup of tea in the afternoon, but other than that, I’ve done nothing.
“Shameful. Shame on you, Stewart.”
The ‘Maggie May’ hitmaker – who has been married to Penny Lancaster, with whom he has sons Alastair, 12, and seven-year-old Aiden, since 2007 – also admitted he cannot boil an egg, and says his girlfriends used to cook for him in the 70s but when he broke up with them he would simply head to the local cafe for a bite to eat.
When asked if it is true he cannot boil an egg, he told Rolling Stone magazine: “Absolutely true. True, true, true, mate. In the Seventies, it was a different era.
“We used to have girlfriends we’d shack up with. And then you’d sort of get fed up with them and they’d leave, or you’d kick ’em out.
“Horrible, but then you realise, ‘Who’s gonna cook me dinner? Who’s gonna cook me breakfast?’ And you find yourself walking down to the local cafe. I’m still absolutely hopeless. I cannot cook to save me life.
“The last time I tried to make a boiled egg, I had about 20 pans and things out of the cupboard. What a mess. Nothing to be proud of.”
In 2015, Penny claimed cooking makes men less “masculine”.
She said: “I do agree with equal rights and if women want to go and work that’s fabulous.
“Going as far as cooking and putting the apron on, I think that, not belittles men, but takes the masculinity and I would miss that … We’re different … men are from Mars and women are from Venus, testosterone, oestrogen, we’re different creatures, I think you’ve got to let men do it their way…”
Rod said: “I tend to agree with her and I will agree with her because I’ve no other option.
My masculinity comes in other departments.”

Kris Jenner can’t ‘control’ Kanye West

OHMYGOSSIP — Kris Jenner can’t “control” Kanye West.
The 62-year-old matriarch will always support her “amazing” son-in-law and his wife, her daughter Kim Kardashian West, even if she doesn’t always agree with what the ‘Famous’ rapper has to say.
Asked about Kanye’s recent outbursts, Kris said: “Kanye is an amazing son-in-law. He’s an amazing dad and husband and friend and brother-in-law, and so we know my son-in-law Kanye. My job as a mom is just to be there for my kids and be supportive and love them.
“You can’t control what somebody else is doing. I can’t always control what any of them do at any time, but I think what I really want to do is be there to help him and be the best version of himself that he can be.
“He knows that we’re there if he needs us.”
And the ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star suggested her daughter and son-in-law – who have children North, five, Saint, two, and nine-month-old Chicago together – don’t always see eye-to-eye or share the same opinions.
Speaking in an upcoming appearance on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’, she said: “He definitely has his own thoughts and opinions and he gets very excited about that.
“You know him a long time, I’ve known him a long time. He does have different sides to him and this is a side no one has seen before.
“It’s a lot. Kim always says, ‘I can’t control what somebody else does,’ and I feel the same way. It’s really hard.
“You all know if you have kids and they might have a totally different opinion about something or a different view about something.
“And here’s a very strong [person], he’s very opinionated and he has a big voice. He has a lot to say.”

Caitlyn Jenner retracts Donald Trump support

OHMYGOSSIP — Caitlyn Jenner thinks she was “wrong” to back President Donald Trump in the 2016 election.
The ‘I Am Cait’ star – who was known as Bruce Jenner before her transition – had slammed the Commander-in-Chief for his treatment of the trans community and admitted she has been left “deeply, personally” hurt by his policies since coming to power as she believed he wanted to do good for her “vulnerable” peers.
She wrote in an op-ed piece for the Washington Post newspaper: “Trump was the first Republican presidential candidate to claim to support this valuable, vulnerable community, and I was encouraged by the applause he received when he said at the Republican National Convention in July 2016 that he would stand up for the LGBTQ community…
“Sadly, I was wrong. The reality is that the trans community is being relentlessly attacked by this president.
“The leader of our nation has shown no regard for an already marginalised and struggling community. He has ignored our humanity. He has insulted our dignity. He has made trans people into political pawns as he whips up animus against us in an attempt to energize the most right-wing segment of his party, claiming his anti-transgender policies are meant to ‘protect the country.’
“This is politics at its worst. It is unacceptable, it is upsetting, and it has deeply, personally hurt me.”
The 68-year-old former Olympian – who hit out at Trump earlier this week over a reported new policy to “narrowly define gender as a biological, immutable condition determined by genitalia at birth” – has vowed to learn from her “mistakes” and continue using her own position to “advocate and support” the trans community in the best ways possible.
She continued: “My hope in him — in them — was misplaced, and I cannot support anyone who is working against our community. I do not support Trump. I must learn from my mistakes and move forward.
“I am more determined than ever to find the best way to bring trans issues to the fore of our social and political conversation, domestically and abroad. I need to listen more to the members of the LGBTQ community and to learn more. I need to better use my voice, my privilege and my foundation to advocate and support our community.
“I must continue to educate political and corporate leaders about the issues of homelessness, job discrimination, violence, access to health care, prejudice in housing, depression, suicide and so many other issues that disproportionately affect our long-ignored community. I will still work with anyone who is committed to help our community.
“The world needs to hear us. The world needs to know us. We will not be erased.”

The 59-year-old actress has signed up to appear as controversial celebrity-turned-politician Vivienne Rook in Russell T. Davies’ ‘Years & Years’
The futuristic limited series – which will also air on HBO in the US and Canal Plus in France – follows the Lyons family over a 15-year period, beginning in 2019, as they experience a society changed by political instability, technological advances and a changing economy.
Producers said in a statement: “We find out if this ordinary family could ever change the world,” the producers said in a statement.”
The star-studded cast also features Rory Kinnear as financial advisor Stephen Lyons, with ‘Marcella’ actress T’Nia Miller portraying his ambitious wife Celeste.
‘Quantico’ actor Russell Tovey, ‘Paddington 2’ actress Jessica Hynes and ‘Cold Feet’s Ruth Madeley will play Stephen’s siblings, Daniel, Edith and Rosie, while ‘Last Tango in Halifax’ actress Anne Reid has signed up to play their grandmother Muriel.
Creator Russell is delighted with his “dream cast” on the production, which will film in Manchester.

HBO have promised the show will be “important and entertaining”.
Their programming president, Casey Bloys, said: “HBO is thrilled to once again partner with the BBC and to be joining RED Production Company in showcasing the stellar work of Russell T Davies and Emma Thompson with this sweeping family saga which captures the spirit of our time.
“No other writer could have written such an original, important and entertaining state of the nation drama, with a family at its center that an audience will want to spend time with.
“I’m thrilled a cast of this caliber will bring them to life.”

Love Island bosses ‘plan Christmas special’

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’ bosses are planning to reunite this year’s cast for a Christmas special.
Producers of the hit ITV2 show are said to be “in the process” of recruiting the former villa residents for a festive episode of the programme – which could take on the format of spin-off show ‘Love Island: Aftersun’, on which contestants are interviewed in front of a studio audience – and it will no doubt be “tense” after five of the nine couples split up.
An ITV source said: “Bosses have been wanting to get the cast back together for a few years now but have finally been given the green light because of the success of this year’s show.
“They know exactly the kind of drama that viewers want to see and getting together the couples who have split will certainly make for tense viewing.
“Producers are in the process of getting people to sign up and they are hoping that everybody agrees to it.”
‘Love Island’ couples Samira Mighty and Frankie Foster, Laura Anderson and Paul Knops, Jack Fowler and Laura Crane, Charlie Brake and Ellie Brown, and Georgia Steel and Sam Bird have all gone their separate ways in recent weeks after they got together on the hit summer series.
And show bosses are also considering bringing back stars from former series to mix things up on the Christmas special episode.
The source added to The Sun’s Bizarre TV column: “Lots of ideas have been floated around including bringing back some of the old stars.
“If they get on well with this year’s contestants then sparks could fly.”
Producers are said to have already contacted this year’s winners, Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham, about appearing on the festive show.
Earlier this month, Jack supported the idea that ‘Love Island’ can provide a successful career as opposed to Oxbridge, after it was revealed the 85,000 applications producers received for the reality show outweighed those submitted to attend the prestigious Oxford and Cambridge universities.
He said: “I can’t say, ‘Don’t go for your education’, but in terms of the opportunities and doors it can open for you, it has changed my life for the better and created opportunities for me. So for me personally that would be the way forward … the world is my oyster at the moment.”

Clueless remake ‘in the works’

OHMYGOSSIP — A ‘Clueless’ remake is in the works.
‘Girls Trip’ writer Tracy Oliver is said to be in line to produce the motion picture, and ‘Glow’ scribe Marquita Robinson looks set to write the script for the film.
According to Deadline, it’s not yet known whether older characters from the 1995 original – which starred the likes of Alicia Silverstone and Paul Rudd – will feature in the new movie.
The motion picture is said to still be in the early stages of development, so it’s not known if the flick will be a modern version of the 90s coming-of-age romantic-comedy, which is based loosely on Jane Austen’s 1815 novel ‘Emma’.
The film told the story of rich teen Cher Horowitz – played by Silverstone – who attempts to find love while living with her bad-tempered father Mel Horowitz (Dan Hedaya).
Cher also boosts the popularity of fellow student Tai Frasier, who was played by the late Brittany Murphy, who starred in the movie alongside Breckin Meyer, Jeremy Sisto, and Stacey Dash.
Should Silverstone appear in the forthcoming film then she may be able to save the wardrobe department some money after recently admitting she took “so many costumes” home from the set of the original movie.
Speaking about her new show, TV comedy series ‘American Woman’, she recently said: “Judy Gelman is our wardrobe designer and she is brilliant.
“I wore a dress that [British model] Twiggy wore, actually, which was very exciting … But Judy and I would look through the wardrobe and I’d be like ‘Can I have that one?’ And I took it home and sure enough, there’s no way I can wear it in real life.
“And I did this on ‘Clueless’, I took so many costumes home. But, you know, the knee-highs with the [Mary Janes] in [the] normal world really doesn’t quite work.”

Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton to lead Three Thousand Years of Longing

OHMYGOSSIP — Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton are to lead the cast of ‘Three Thousand Years of Longing’.
The ‘Dark Tower’ actor and the ‘Suspiria’ actress are provisionally attached to director George Miller’s next project – which has also been going by the title ‘Djinn’ – but won’t sign on and commit to the movie until a studio and financing have been put in place by producers.
Plot details of the film are being kept under wraps but the movie is believed to be a love story involving a genie.
The ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ filmmaker also wrote the script and is hoping to start filming next year, with rights going on sale next week at the American Film Market.
This is the second new project Idris has been attached to this month as it was recently revealed he is to appear in Tom Hooper’s adaptation of ‘Cats’.
The 46-year-old actor will star alongside the likes of Sir Ian McKellen, Jennifer Hudson, James Corden, and Taylor Swift in the much-anticipated adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s money-spinning musical.
Idris has already played a feline role in his career, starring as Shere Khan in 2016’s ‘The Jungle Book’.
The ‘Cats’ movie is to be produced by Tom, Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and Debra Hayward, while Steven Spielberg will be one of the executive producers of the project.
The adaptation has been in the works for years, with Tom – who directed ‘Les Miserables’ – previously teasing the ambition back in 2016.
Meanwhile, after recently making his directorial debut with ‘Yardie’, Idris’ own behaviour as an actor has changed.
He said recently: “I’ve always been sympathetic when directors have actors who are difficult to work with.
“‘Guys, I’ve got a million things to deal with, I don’t need your issues right now.’ Actors are a really important part of the film engine but after working with actors that are super-dedicated – dedicated to the point where you couldn’t ask any more and young and eager to impress and who just went for it – it made me look at my own dedication.
“How much time am I giving the director to work to rehearse? How many times am I prepared to do it again differently if they ask me? Do I know my lines? I’ve always been an actor that wants to contribute to a happy crew. Now I’m going to work even harder to get there.”

Cheryl ‘signs record deal with dance label’

OHMYGOSSIP — Cheryl has signed a new record deal with dance label 3Beat.
The 35-year-old singer is said to be planning to drop a “string of singles” before she launches a new album, and has signed up for the label – which is a part of Universal, and is home to acts such as Sigma – because of their “huge success” in the singles chart.
A source close to the star said: “When she went into Universal this summer to discuss plans for release, bosses were impressed.
“After several meetings she did a deal with 3Beat because they’ve had huge success in the singles chart in the past few years and would give her creative freedom.
“She has a string of singles she wants to release before committing to an album and now she can test the waters to do whatever she wants.”
The ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ hitmaker – whose last album was 2014’s ‘Only Human’ – has been working away on new music for most of the year, and is keen to retain plenty of “creative control” on her new material.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: “Cheryl has been working on music for the past six months.
“The recording process has been driven solely by her and she wanted to retain as much of the creative control as possible.”
Last month, it was claimed Cheryl’s upcoming new single ‘Love Made Me Do It’ was inspired by her split from ex Liam Payne, with whom she shares 19-month-old son Bear.
A source said: “It is a very edgy pop-dance track and not a typical song which you would expect from Cheryl.
“She’s not holding back on her feelings and inevitably it will lead to a lot of speculation.”
And Liam recently hinted the break-up with the star will feature on his own upcoming new album.
He said of the record: “I have enough songs for it and was ready to put it out.
“But I kind of feel like some of the songs I’m not ready to put out right now with the way I’m feeling. I don’t know.
“To be honest with you, life’s took a little bit of a different turn as of late, so I’m kind of going with that turn and being honest with my feelings and stuff.”

Josh Cuthbert quits Union J

OHMYGOSSIP — Josh Cuthbert has quit Union J.
The 26-year-old singer has decided to quit the group in order to pursue “individual opportunities across entertainment and music” and apologised to fans for his departure.
He revealed on Instagram: “My journey with Union J has been one to remember, and something I will cherish forever. But after seven years, I feel like now is the right time for me to leave the band.
“I’d like to apologise to my incredible fans if I’ve let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right for me and follow my heart. I have decided to leave, because I want to continue to develop my individual opportunities across entertainment and music.”
The ‘Celebrity MasterChef’ contestant went on to wish former bandmates Jaymi Hensley and JJ Hamblett good luck and described them as his “friends for life”.
He continued: “I have so many beautiful memories with them and have friends for life in the boys and wish JJ and Jaymi the best for the future. Thank you for your continued support, it’s down to you all that I am where I am today and you all mean the world to me.”
But it seems Jaymi and JJ may not look so kindly on Josh as some angry posts were shared on Union J’s social media accounts but later deleted.
One read: “Things should have been handled differently.”
And another said: “This statement should have come to you as a joint statement. Sadly once again that decision was taken into ones personal matters. There is no beef whatsover, things should have just been handled differently.(sic)”
A third post simply stated: “Not cool.”
The band were originally known as Triple J when they auditioned for ‘The X Factor’ in 2011, but changed their name when they were grouped with George Shelley on the show.
They signed to RCA Records after finishing fourth in the competition and released their debut single in June 2013.
George quit in March 2016 and was replaced by another former ‘X Factor’ star, Stereo Kicks singer Casey Johnson, but his tenure with the group didn’t last long.

Tyler, the Creator fell asleep at wheel

OHMYGOSSIP — Tyler, the Creator crashed his car after falling asleep at the wheel.
The 27-year-old rapper’s Tesla Model X hit a parked car near UCLA’s campus in the early hours of Thursday (25.10.18) morning, and according to TMZ, the impact was so strong that the stationary vehicle, a Honda CR-V, was flung 50 feet down the road.
Tyler left his details for the owner of the other car and later branded himself a “dumb ass bitch” when he admitted he has destroyed his new car after dozing off.
He wrote on Instagram Stories: “My big doopy ass usually go to sleep 10:30 (i wake up at 7 er morn) and guess who wanted to finish music super late and dosed off for a few seconds while driving home, im a dumb ass bitch but lil mama don’t have a scratch im lucky.
“I calmly jumped out the back and called the people.(sic)”
The ‘See You Again’ hitmaker also praised Tesla’s Elon Musk for designing the car with features that saved him from serious injury.
He added: “thanks elon for the excessive airbags u a qt. good day sir (sic)”
He also shared a photo of a bike wheel, suggesting he will be using that means of transportation for the time being.
Los Angeles’ police and fire departments have confirmed they responded to a call about the incident at around 12.30am but no one was hurt by the collision.
The accident came just a day after Tyler shared a new song, which has been taken from the upcoming remake ‘The Grinch’.
The theme, ‘You’re A Mean One, Mr Grinch’, is one of two tracks the rapper has contributed to the soundtrack, with original song ‘I Am The Grinch’ being the other.

Duke and Duchess of Sussex had ‘intimate’ wedding

OHMYGOSSIP — The Duchess of Sussex’s wedding felt “intimate” to her and her husband Prince Harry.
The former actress – who was known as Meghan Markle before her nuptials – tied the knot with the 34-year-old royal at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, which can hold 800 people, in May and it was important to the couple that they were very hands-on with the planning of the big day.
Meghan said: “There was a great level of detail that went into the planning of our wedding day.
“I think for us, we knew how large the scale of the event would be, so in making choices that were really personal and meaningful, it could make the whole experience feel intimate, even though it was a very big wedding.”
Harry added: “It was a somewhat global wedding, but being able to try and make everybody feel inclusive, it was really, really important to us.”
The former ‘Suits’ star wore a dress designed by Givenchy’s Clare Waight Keller and she chose the designer because she wanted to use a British female, and she was pleased to see her “very clear vision” for her “modest” gown come to life.
She said: “I wanted a female designer, that was very important, I wanted a British designer because I wanted to embrace my new home in that way. I wanted something that felt reflective of the world in a way.
“I had a very clear vision of what I wanted for the day, and what I wanted the dress to look like, and so what was amazing in working with Clare is that sometimes you’ll find designers try to push you in a different direction.
“But she just completely respected what I wanted to see for the day, and she wanted to bring that to life for me.
“So I knew at the onset I wanted a bateau neckline, I wanted a cropped sleeve, I wanted a very timeless, classic feeling and, obviously with respect to the environment we were in and St George’s Chapel, being really modest in what it would look like, I knew that the tailoring was so key, because the dress itself would be so covered up.”
The couple’s wedding outfits are part of a new exhibition at Windsor Castle and in a royal first, Harry and Meghan, 37, have provided the commentary in the audio guide.
And discussing Meghan’s headpiece, Queen Mary’s diamond and platinum bandeau tiara, Harry praised his “very sweet” grandmother Queen Elizabeth for loaning the stunning piece to his bride.
He revealed in the commentary that he had joined Meghan on her visit to see the queen and said: “Every girl’s dream to be able to try on a tiara, and, funnily enough, the one that suited the best, the one that looked the best on you without question, I shouldn’t have really even been there, but such an incredible loan by my grandmother, it was very sweet.”
Also forming part of the ‘A Royal Wedding: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’ exhibition is a silk replica of Meghan’s bouquet, which was designed by Phillippa Craddock and featured blooms from the couple’s own garden – but their original plans were “ruined” because of bad weather.
Harry explained: “We didn’t have as many flowers in our little garden as we had hoped for because I think it snowed at Easter.
“That kind of ruined the whole thing. But, they’re very much a bouquet of wild flower, wild flower meadows and making sure that we had forget-me-nots in as it was one of my mother’s favourite flowers…”
The exhibition will run from October 26 to January 6, 2019 and will transfer to the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the queen’s residence in Edinburgh, Scotland on June 14, 2019.

Scooter Braun calls Hailey Baldwin a ‘wonderful person’

OHMYGOSSIP — Scooter Braun has praised “wonderful” Hailey Baldwin – but refused to confirm her marriage to Justin Bieber.
The 37-year-old manager – whose superstar clients include the ‘Sorry’ hitmaker – has responded after being asked about rumours the pair tied the knot last month but insisted it wasn’t his place to speak out.
He told Us Weekly magazine: “Hailey is a wonderful person.”
However, Scooter didn’t want to “address their private life” any more than that, and insisted their personal affairs are for “them to address”.
It was recently reported that Hailey has filed documents to trademark the name Hailey Bieber to take the first steps to make her new relationship status official in her worklife.
It’s said the pair got married when they went to pick up their license last month – although they’re yet to have a proper ceremony.
Hailey, 21, previously denied claims she had married the 24-year-old singer on September 13.
She said: “I understand where the speculation is coming from, but I’m not married yet!”
However days later, her uncle, Alec Baldwin, claimed his niece and the ‘Love Yourself’ hitmaker had “just went off” and got married.
He said: “They just went off and got married and I don’t know what the deal is. We text Hailey every now and then. We met him one time.”
It was later speculated that because both Hailey and Justin are religious, they don’t consider their marriage official yet because they haven’t had a full ceremony in a church.
The couple are planning to make their marriage meaningful in the eyes of God through a second, formal wedding in a church in the near future.
Meanwhile, the couple reportedly confirmed their marriage to a fan.
The unnamed fan, who filmed the couple sharing a passionate kiss whilst out for dinner in LA, said: “I said to them, ‘I don’t want to say congratulations, but are you married?’
“Justin said, ‘Yes, we are married’. He explained that they have their ‘ups and downs’ just like every other couple.
“He said he has a lot of baggage and called Hailey ‘an angel’ for sticking by his side, but she just rolled her eyes.”

Alec Baldwin hails the ‘capable mothers’ who are raising his daughters

OHMYGOSSIP — Alec Baldwin feels grateful for the “capable mothers” who are helping to raise his daughters.
The 60-year-old actor – who has Ireland, 23, with his ex-wife Kim Basinger and Carmen, five, with his second wife Hilaria Baldwin – thinks young females need good role models and support from the same gender to guide them through life.
He explained: “I’m grateful that both daughters I have – from two different marriages – have very capable mothers. Because the mother is the one who is going to teach the girl, I think, how to get around in the world.”
The ‘Departed’ actor recalled one particular conversation he previously had with his eldest daughter about the potential pitfalls of dating.
Alec – who also has sons Rafael, three, Leonardo, two, and five-month-old Romeo with Hilaria – admitted that Ireland took no notice of his advice.
Speaking on an upcoming episode of ‘Dr. Oz’: “I remember saying to Ireland … when she was much younger and she was dating guys.
“She was – I don’t know, 15 or 16 – and she had zero interest in my input. We’re in a car and … I thought, ‘This is the moment. It’s the birds and the bees or kind of, you know, the birds and bees and the drinking in a bar with the birds and the bees moment.’
“And she just stared out the window, like, ‘Oh, please, don’t talk to me about this.’ But I said to her that men will say anything to get you to do what they want you to do.”
The ‘Saturday Night Live’ star – who has been married to Hilaria since 2012 – added: “I said, ‘That’s not the problem … The problem is some of them are very good at it.'”

Jada Pinkett Smith ‘proud’ of daughter Willow for opening up on self harm

OHMYGOSSIP — Jada Pinkett Smith is “proud” of her daughter for opening up about self harm.
The 47-year-old actress was shocked when her daughter Willow, 17, told her back in May during an episode of her Facebook Watch show ‘Red Table Talk’ that she had previously spent time cutting herself, but how says she’s impressed the teenager managed to be so open about her struggles, and could “get herself out” of that dark place on her own.
Speaking about her initial reaction to the news during an appearance on ‘The MOMS Podcast’ on Tuesday (23.10.18), Jada said: “I wanted to make sure she was OK. We went through what happened, and in the moment I realised, as a mother you also have to give your children space to deal with their own shadow.
“I focused more on how she got herself out versus what got her there. I was most proud about that she could share it in the way she did, which let me know she had come through in a major way that she could put it on the table like that. I wanted to focus on what [it was] that got her through. I really talked to her about her powering side of her journey and give her all the praise in the world for that part, instead of focusing on ‘Why didn’t you tell me?'”
Willow – whom Jada has with her husband Will Smith, with whom she also has 20-year-old son Jaden – admitted on her mother’s talk show that she had begun to self harm following the success of her 2010 single ‘Whip My Hair’, which was released when she was just 10 years old.
She said: “I would have to say I honestly feel like I lost my sanity at one point. It was after that whole ‘Whip My Hair’ thing and I had just stopped doing singing lessons and I was kind of just in this grey area of, ‘Who am I? Do I have a purpose? Is there anything I can do besides this?'” Willow said at the time. “After the tour and the promotion and all of that … they wanted me to finish my album. And I was like, ‘I’m not gonna do that.'”
“After all of that kind of settled down, and it was, like, a lull, I was listening to a lot of dark music and it was just so crazy, and I was just plunged into this black hole and I was, like, cutting myself and doing crazy things.
“I honestly felt like I was experiencing so much emotional pain but my physical circumstances weren’t reflecting that. One night I was like, this is actually psychotic and after that I just stopped. It’s been, like, five years.”
