Demi Lovato ‘changed’ by rehab

OHMYGOSSIP — Demi Lovato has been “really changed” by her rehab stay.
The 26-year-old singer has been sober for over 90 days following her the overdose that landed her in hospital over the summer, and sources now claim she is “a new version of herself” thanks to the ongoing treatment she has been receiving since entering a rehabilitation centre after she left hospital.
A source said: “Demi is doing great and is really receptive to the help that she is getting. Treatment has really changed her and she is looking forward to remaining sober and her new outlook on life.”
And the ‘Sober’ singer is even said to be unsure if she will return to Los Angeles after she leaves rehab, as she wants to “start a new chapter” which could see her end up staying in Texas with her family.
The insider added to E! News: “Demi is unsure if she will come back to LA to live permanently. She really wants to start a new chapter in her life.
“[Those around her are] urging her to live a more relaxed lifestyle before she dives back into working. Her family wants her to take time away from LA and possibly stay in Texas with her family for a while.”
Meanwhile, Demi was recently reported to be staying in rehab for the remainder of the year, with sources saying she’s taking her stay “seriously”.
A source said: “Demi is taking her sobriety extremely serious, and knows she has a long road ahead of her. At the end of the day, Demi is doing this for herself. She has to stay sober for her, but every time she has family or friends visit her it reminds her of all the other important people in her life that she needs to fight for as well.
“Demi is thankful she’s still alive and is doing whatever she can to never get to that point again.”

Akon is “seriously” considering running to be President of the United States

OHMYGOSSIP — Akon is “seriously” considering running to be President of the United States.
The 45-year-old R&B star – who has recently founded his own Cryptocurrency – has revealed his plans to make a bid for the White House against current incumbent Donald Trump in 2020 but wants to “continue doing what he’s doing” in order to gain the support he needs.
In an interview with Newsweek, he said: “I’ve been thinking about running for 2020 very seriously. But I didn’t want to just do it because I feel like I want to continue doing what I’m doing and hope that builds me enough momentum [for people] to say, ‘You know what, if you run we’ll support you.'”
The ‘Smack That’ hitmaker was born in the US but grew up in Senegal and when asked how he feels about Trump’s views on immigration, he expressed his fears and stated he was “uncomfortable” with the current administration’s policies.
He said: “I feel a lot more unsafe. I feel unempowered. Honestly, I feel it’s gonna be a fight. I feel like I should be always prepared for the unexpected. I feel very uncomfortable. And I feel a lot of Americans do; even some white Americans feel that way because they’re watching backlash of his decisions. It’s not what’s happening now. Because it’s clear it’s creating a whole bunch of divide today. But I think tomorrow that impact is going to be so much more devastating.”
The ‘Lonely’ hitmaker previously revealed plans to build a “real-life Wakanda” – referencing the African nation featured in ‘Black Panther’ – in his native country of Senegal, using his online currency AKoin.

Professor Green is keeping his romances offline following his Twitter spat with Fae Williams

OHMYGOSSIP — Professor Green is keeping his romances offline following his Twitter spat with Fae Williams.
The 34-year-old rapper revealed that the reason he contacted his ex-fiancée on Twitter – after she got engaged months after their split – was because he was “fed up” and the ‘Lullaby’ hitmaker has now decided to keep all his future romances private.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper, he said: “I just got fed up we had 18 months together and I expected a little more from her to be honest.
“I get it because it’s like, ‘Hey look at me I’m over it,’ but what it actually says is the opposite. The only wrong I ever did was to leave her.
“Everything is a learning curve and you learn from your past mistakes I’m not cynical about love or romance at all.
“But what I have learned is my private life is my private life – although the biggest warning for me now would be if a girl wanted to put anything on Instagram.”
The musician – who was previously married to Millie Mackintosh – also admitted that it frustrates him that every woman he is spotted with is romantically linked to him.
He said: “Why can’t I be photographed with another girl? I just don’t understand why it’s so difficult to have platonic relationships. It’s quite sexist really. Do we have to objectify and sexualise every girl that I stand next to? I find it f***ing ridiculous.”
Green – real name Stephen Manderson – is now focusing all his attention on his music and another step towards him bringing out a new album is the release of his latest single ‘Photographs’, a collaboration with Rag’n’Bone Man.
Revealing the inspiration behind the track, he said: “Photographs conjure up so many different emotions. The ones I miss the most are the ones I never took. They are for me, in many ways, the memories I don’t have – especially the ones from my childhood. I wish I had more.”

Rio Ferdinand’s 12-year-old son Lorenz is “so proud” of his father after he proposed to Kate Wright

OHMYGOSSIP — Rio Ferdinand’s 12-year-old son Lorenz is “so proud” of his father after he proposed to Kate Wright.
The couple announced they are getting married on Thursday (01.11.18) by posting the same photo of the moment former ‘TOWIE’ star Kate said yes to the retired footballer on the rooftop of the St. Regis Hotel as his three children, Lorenz, Tate, nine and Tia, seven, looked on during a family holiday together in Abu Dhabi.
And commenting on the Instagram post, Lorenz wrote: “So glad she said yes I’m so proud of u dad and Kate love u both so much (sic)”
Rio shared his son’s message on his Instagram Story, and admitted: “My boy is trying to make his dad all emotional n ‘S**t” (sic)”
Kate, 27, captioned the photo: “The perfect end to our holiday … How could the answer not be yes.”
Rio, 39, added on his post: “She said yes. How these 3 kids kept it a secret I’ll never know.”
The couple started officially dating in 2017 and their relationship blossomed as the former Manchester United player tried to rebuild his life following the death of his wife Rebecca Ellison at the age of just 34, due to breast cancer.
Speaking previously about their romance, Kate admitted she and the soccer pundit “just clicked” straight away.
She said: “Rio and I just clicked. I knew about the children and what had happened but at first I didn’t give it much thought. When you meet someone you’re just enjoying the moment, not thinking about how serious things might become.
“I fell in love with Rio, then I met the kids and fell in love with them. I realised, ‘Wow, my life is going to change.’ I couldn’t be part of his life and not part of theirs. I knew it would be a challenge, but if you love someone you go with it and deal with the difficult stuff.”
Kate also revealed that Rio’s kids – whose mother was Rebecca – all want her and their dad to have a baby together.
She said: “The kids would like a little brother or sister; they say, ‘I dreamt that you were pregnant.’ But right now we’re just happy with our little unit.”

Sir Kenneth Branagh says Dame Judi Dench is his “favourite leading actress”, after scoring her for his new movie ‘All Is True’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Kenneth Branagh says Dame Judi Dench is his “favourite leading actress”, after scoring her for his new movie ‘All Is True’.
The 57-year-old actor is currently directing the historical drama movie which centres on the life of playwright William Shakespeare’s wife Anne Hathaway, and has sung the praises of Judi – who stars as the all-too-forgotten spouse – for being his favourite person to work with.
Kenneth – who is also starring in the movie as Shakespeare himself – said: “[Judi] always been my favourite leading actress.”
Whilst the 83-year-old Hollywood legend added to Baz Bamigboye for his column in the Daily Mail newspaper: “I never say no when Ken calls.”
‘All Is True’ has been filmed predominantly in Windsor – which is standing in for the playwright’s home of Stratford-upon-Avon – and follows Anne after Shakespeare returns home to his family following the burning down of his Globe Theatre in London.
Anne was born a farmer’s daughter and often feels undervalued, but according to the Daily Mail, Judi brings her out of the shadows and stands up to her often neglectful husband.
The movie opens in America on December 21, and in the UK in February.
Meanwhile, it isn’t the first time Kenneth has praised Judi’s work, as when they teamed up for ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ last year, he said the actress was a “critical component” for the feature.
He said: “They are a lovely group. A really critical component was Judi Dench, who was the first person I cast.
“I asked if she would do it and I hadn’t finished the question when she said yes.
“Judi is a talismanic figure. Derek and Judi know each other from a thousand years ago. Johnny has worked with Judi and he worships her.
“She has trouble seeing, but she never complains.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Swash is going to miss his family while he’s in Australia for ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’
The TV star is heading back Down Under to present spin-off show ‘Extra Camp’, and he shared a snap with partner Stacey Solomon and her six-year-old son Leighton admitting he was finding it tough to leave.
Taking to Instagram, he shared crying emojis alongside the sweet photo and wrote: “Not long now til I have to leave this lot. I’m going to miss these guys xxxxx”
The couple moved in together recently after almost three years together, and Stacey’s children – Leighton and 10-year-old Zachary – both live with them full time.
The proud mum admitted she was nervous about taking the next step in their relationship because she’s scared of change, but it has been going well.
‘Loose Women’ star Stacey previously said: “When I moved in with Joe, it was sort of ‘oh gosh this is scary and weird’ and you get that funny feeling in your tummy.
“It didn’t feel…I knew it wasn’t cold feet, I didn’t think ‘oh this is going to be terrible’ it was just me worrying about a big life change. I can never differentiate between intuition and just life change nerves.”
Joe will also be leaving his own son Harry, 11, back in England while he’s working in Australia.
Despite missing his family, the former ‘EastEnders’ actor has admitted he’s excited to be returning to the show.
He said in a previous statement: “Good times! Me, Joel [Dommett] and Scarlett [Moffatt] are going to be reunited again on ‘Extra Camp’.

Sophie Powles was “determined” to land a part in ‘Emmerdale’ after being “in awe” of Charley Webb

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Powles was “determined” to land a part in ‘Emmerdale’ after being “in awe” of Charley Webb.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ star – who played the late Holly Barton on the ITV soap – used to love watching Charley (Debbie Dingle) play out her fiery scenes with Emma Atkins’ Charity Dingle before she joined the show, and she was so inspired she did everything possible to land a role on the programme.
She said: “I grew up watching ‘Emmerdale’ as a northern girl living in Otley. At 7pm, we’d be sitting there with tea and biscuits ready to watch in silence.
“I was in awe of the actors on screen and these amazing characters. I loved Cain and Charity Dingle and when I saw Charley Webb arrive as Debbie Dingle, who was around my age at the time, it made me even more determined to be an actor.”
Sophie was already good friends with Emma before she rocked up in the Dales in 2009, after playing her on-screen daughter in an episode of crime drama ‘Dalziel and Pascoe’.
She said: “When I got the part in ‘Dalziel and Pascoe’ when I was 16, I was thrilled to find Emma Atkin’s playing my character’s mum. It was a dream come true and we became firm friends.”
The ‘Fanatical’ star’s alter-ego Holly died of a heroin overdose in 2016, and while Sophie admits the story was an important one to tell, she is “gutted” to miss out on working with Ash Palmisciano after he joined the soap this year as Matty Barton, who was formerly known as Holly’s sister Hannah Barton.
Speaking to The Emmerdaily, she added: “I am gutted not to work with Ash Palmisciano.
“I called Natalie [J. Robb, who plays Moira Barton] and she asked if I wanted to speak to ‘my brother’ so we had a chat and I sent him my Barton hoodie as a welcome to the family present.”
Holly met her maker in 2016, and Sophie was aware her character was going to be killed off in a drug-related plot.
She previously said: “I always knew I was only coming back for a six-month storyline and I knew it was going to be drug-related and heartbreaking. I was prepared for this and I knew what I was signing up for when I spoke to the producer about returning.
“The ‘Emmerdale’ script and story team had already planned Holly’s return and what would happen to her and they really wanted me on board to help tell this story.
“We wanted to highlight how hard and destructive drug addiction can be. Of course, there are many positive stories out there where people are doing really well and have recovered from drug addiction and therefore this ‘Emmerdale’ storyline of course doesn’t represent everyone.”

Haim are glad they “rocked the boat” by firing their agent over gender pay disparity

OHMYGOSSIP — Haim are glad they “rocked the boat” by firing their agent over gender pay disparity.
The trio – made up of sisters Este, Danielle and Alana Haim – sacked their manager after discovering they were paid 10 times less than one of his male clients playing the same festival bill.
Speaking at TheWrap’s Power Women’s Summit, Alana said: “We hear], ‘Don’t rock the boat’, ‘Don’t ask a question’, ‘Don’t cause a problem’.
“And I remember hearing ‘Don’t rock the boat’ for the first time and wondering, ‘Why can’t I rock the boat? I wanna rock the boat’… When you hear ‘Don’t rock the boat’ so many times you internalise it… And if you bring up a question, you’re ‘crazy.’ ”
The group cut ties with their agent last year, and they were appalled to find that the gap between the acts’ paydays was so big.
Danielle added: “I think we were just in complete shock that this was still happening. And we decided that we needed a change and that’s what happened.”
For Alana, the “thing that mattered most” for her in the entire situation was that both acts shared the same agent.
She added: “I don’t want to ask for more, I never want to ask for more. I just want to ask for equal.”
Haim have encountered sexism a lot in their careers and find it frustrating when their musical ability is written off just because they are female.
Alana said: “What was really scary to us was feeling like if we acted a certain way, people would think we didn’t play our own instruments.
“I still get so many people asking me, ‘So who really writes your songs?’
“A lot of people automatically accept the fact that an all-male band writes their own songs, but when they see an all-woman band, they’re like, ‘Oh there must be a man behind it, fuelling their fire.’ ”

Alesha Dixon would “love” to have a Mis-Teeq reunion

OHMYGOSSIP — Alesha Dixon would “love” to have a Mis-Teeq reunion.
The 40-year-old singer has admitted that she would “never say never” to reforming the all-female R&B/garage trio and although she is talking with Sabrina Washington and Su-Elise Nash about performing again, the ‘Scandalous’ hitmaker would want it to happen “organically”.
Speaking on ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’, she said: “We talk about it. I saw Su-Elise a couple of weeks ago, she came to my birthday party and we actually ended up doing a full on PA during my birthday party which was quite nice. We have got a little Misteeq WhatsApp group.
“We are talking. Never say never. I would love to do something again with the girls but I don’t know what shape or form that would be.
“We haven’t got any plans set in stone but we’re talking. I think if we did something again, we would want it to happen quite organically.
“We were approached years ago to do the ‘Big Reunion’, that wasn’t for us. If we did it again it’s because we are friends and we want to make music together again. Su-Elise lives in Australia so first and foremost we need to get her back here before we think about doing anything.”
The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge revealed that her stint in the band was the “best time of her life” and that she loved working with her friends.
She added: “It was the best times of my life, back then we didn’t know what we were doing, we were just three young girls with a big dream, signed to a tiny independent label with not much money behind us and the garage scene was obviously fresh and ground breaking for British artists and allowed a lot of artists to break through.
“It was a big deal. We worked hard, we managed ourselves initially. I love the girls and everything that we did and everything we achieved. ”

Leonardo DiCaprio is set to produce ‘The Time Machine’

OHMYGOSSIP — Leonardo DiCaprio is set to produce ‘The Time Machine’.
The 43-year-old actor will work as a producer through his Appian Way company for the upcoming adaptation of the H.G. Wells novel of the same name, which was first published in 1895.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Leonardo will be working with ‘IT’ director Andy Muschietti on the project, as he steps up to helm the time travelling sci-fi flick.
‘The Time Machine’ tells the story of a Victorian-era scientist who travels 802,000 years into the future, discovering that humanity has split into two species: the lethargic Eloi and the night-stalking Morlocks.
When he becomes separated from his machine, he has to fight against the vicious Morlocks in order to get back to his own time.
The book was previously adapted into a movie by George Pal in 1960, who had taken on another famous title by Wells, ‘The War of the Worlds’, seven years earlier.
A less successful adaptation was also released in 2002, which was directed by Simon Halls and starred Guy Pearce.
This new version of the story will be a team-up between Warner Bros. and Paramount, and as of the time of writing, no casting announcements have been made.
For Leonardo, the producing role comes after he was recently announced to be working on his sixth film with legendary director Martin Scorsese, as they are due to team up for ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’.
Scorsese said: “When I read David Grann’s book, I immediately started seeing it – the people, the settings, the action – and I knew that I had to make it into a movie.
“I’m so excited to be working with Eric Roth and reuniting with Leo DiCaprio to bring this truly unsettling American story to the screen.”
Meanwhile, Andy Muschietti is currently working on the ‘IT’ sequel, ‘IT: Chapter Two’, which is now in post-production.

He said: “I made a mistake but I didn’t really drop the ball. I was more than willing to complete that show, I absolutely loved it and was having the time of my life.
“I was removed completely against my will and for that it’s annoying because I would have loved to have done it.

OHMYGOSSIP — Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff says ‘Top Gear’ is his dream TV role.

Appearing on ITV’s ‘Loose Women’ on Friday (02.11.18), he said: “It really is [amazing]. No, I still can’t [believe it]. We did the photographs, and then you’re stood there thinking, ‘We’re gonna be hosting ‘Top Gear’!
“You know, my dream job was to play cricket for Lancashire and England, and I did that, and I didn’t think after that anything would come close.
“But if I got the chance to pick one job in telly, it was be ‘Top Gear’. I love cars, I love travelling. Doing it with Paddy too is gonna be brilliant, and Chris Harris. I don’t think it’s sunk in yet, we start in the New Year.”
Despite the change in presenters coming after viewers began to react well to Matt LeBlanc – and just considering the popularity of former hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May – Freddie, 40, insisted he isn’t feeling the pressure.
He added: “I’m quite relaxed at the minute […] I’ll try my best. I’ll have a go at things… What’s the worst that can happen?
“I’m not saving lives, I’m doing a bit of TV, I’m enjoying myself and I go home after.”
Matt, 51, is set to quit the show after the next series, while Chris Harris will remain with the programme and Rory Reid will be moved to the spin-off show ‘Extra Gear’.

Khloe Kardashian will reportedly “stick by” Tristan Thompson until “she can’t take it anymore”

OHMYGOSSIP — Khloe Kardashian will reportedly “stick by” Tristan Thompson until “she can’t take it anymore”.
The couple appeared to be in good spirits on Halloween (31.10.18), amid reports that the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star is still undecided about her future with the 27-year-old sportsman, as they dressed their baby daughter True in a series of sweet costumes.
And now a source has claimed the Good American owner plans to remain in a relationship with the NBA player and stand by him, despite their romance allegedly being on the rocks ever since he was accused of kissing another woman shortly before she gave birth to their little girl in April.
An insider told Us Weekly: “People are underestimating how much she’s willing to take for love.
“If Khloe is in love with someone or even connected to them in some way or another, she will stay until she physically and emotionally can’t take it anymore.”
Tristan shared a picture of him with his girls and one of him holding baby True in the air as the family spent the spooky holiday in Cleveland together earlier this week.
On the first Instagram shot, he joked: “Clearly I don’t know where the camera lense is (sic)”
And the second was simply captioned: “Happy Halloween.”
The 34-year-old reality TV star was recently spotted supporting Tristan at his basketball game in Cleveland, and insiders claimed she still isn’t sure how long she wants to stay in the city with the sports star or whether she thinks her long-term future remains in Los Angeles.
A source said: “Khloe and Tristan are still working on things, but know whatever they decide to do moving forward, it will be whatever is best for their daughter, True.
“Khloe isn’t certain how long she will be in Cleveland and may fly back for her mom, Kris [Jenner’s], birthday next week, but isn’t sure. A lot is dependent on how things go with her and Tristan.”
The ‘Revenge Body’ star admitted it had been “very hard” to relive Tristan’s alleged infidelity on her family’s E! show.
A Twitter user recently posted: “I feel so bad for @khloekardashian had to go through what Tristan did while filming #KUWTK. If I’m not wrong, next episode will be insane. You’re so strong to put that personal issue as part of the show knowing millions of ppl will watch it. I wouldn’t be able to do it.(sic)”
And Khloe replied: “Sadly, it will. I signed up to show the for the good and the bad, right? The bad is very hard to relive but it’s life.(sic)”

Items owned by Tupac Shakur have been donated to Temple University

OHMYGOSSIP — Items owned by Tupac Shakur have been donated to Temple University.
The late hip hop legend’s possessions – including a bullet-dented gold medallion he was wearing when he was shot five times in 1994 – will be displayed at the school’s campus at the Charles L. Blockson Afro-American Collection.
As reported by Billboard, the collection is made up of around 500,000 items, and it’s a fitting place for them to shown.
Aaron Smith, a professor of Africology and African American Studies, teaches a Tupac class at the university, and he said: “For a hip hop head, this is truly a dream come true.”
Goldin Auctions has donated around a dozen items that belonged to the ‘Ghetto Gospel’ star, including handwritten lyrics for songs like ‘It Ain’t Easy’ and ‘I Ain’t Mad At Cha’.
Also in the collection is handwritten track listings for unreleased records the rapper was working on before his tragic death in a still-unsolved drive by shooting.
Smith has noted how important jewellery is in Tupac’s story, and a diamond earring he wore on the cover of ‘All Eyez On Me’ is another exciting inclusion.
The professor added: “There is a lot of mystery around Tupac and his jewelry, To have some of [it] here means a whole lot.”
Meanwhile, the collection’s curator has added that she hopes the whole collection will have more of a focus on hip hop culture thanks to the new additions.
Diane Turner explained: “This is just the beginning of a long journey to collect and preserve hip hop culture.”

‘Casualty’ has hired a hawk to scare off noisy seagulls who keep ruining filming

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Casualty’ has hired a hawk to scare off noisy seagulls who keep ruining filming.
Bosses at the BBC hospital drama have had to take action after pesky birds disrupted outdoor shoots, so they decided to draft in a bird of prey called Titan to keep the feathery fiends under control.
George Rainsford – who plays Ethan Hardy on the show – tweeted: “Do you know how we keep our noisy Cardiff seagulls away for filming outside Holby ED?
“We call in the muscle, that’s how. In the form of the very handsome Titan the Harris hawk. (sic)”
The hawk helper will no doubt be hoping he can contribute to Casualty’s success after the BBC medical programme won the Soap & Continuing Drama TV BAFTA at the Virgin TV British Academy Television Awards in May.
Speaking to the audience, George said: “‘Casualty’ has been around for 30 years. It keeps challenging itself. It keeps challenging the viewers and producing big stories that people can hopefully relate to.
“It keeps championing the NHS. I’m genuinely speechless as I didn’t think we’d be here to accept this award.”
Despite missing out on the accolade, ‘Emmerdale’ star Danny Miller – who plays Aaron Dingle in the ITV soap – insisted ‘Casualty’ were “well deserved” winners.
In response to an article about fans being surprised with the medical drama’s victory, he tweeted: “Shocked?! Each show nominated tonight could’ve and more so, deserved to win it. Bravo @BBCCasualty WELL deserved! (sic)”
The ‘Casualty’ team seemed surprised at the time, with some of them thinking ‘Emmerdale’ or ‘Hollyoaks’ would get the nod.
Oliver Kent, head of continuing drama, admitted: “I thought it was going to be ‘Hollyoaks’, and deservedly so because we’re in amazing company.
“We were all backing different horses but none of us were backing ‘Casualty.’ ”
