Stephanie Waring plans Iraqi Kurdistan return

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Waring is planning to return to refugee camps in Iraqi Kurdistan next year.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actress recently opened up about her “life-changing” visit to the autonomous northern Iraqi region, where she spoke to Nobel Peace Prize winner Nadia Murad’s sister, who told how her brothers were murdered and the women were sold as sex slaves after their village was invaded by ISIS.
And Stephanie is determined to head back to the region in 2019, because she wants to help the refugees “any way” she can.
When asked if she will return to the area, she said: “Absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt I will be back next year.
“I want to continue this, I really want to fight for them, and help in any way I can.”
The 40-year-old actress admits she was “quite ignorant” to the goings on in such war-torn countries before her visit to the refugee camps, during which time she delivered care packages, including clothes and medical supplies, to those in need, but she has brought the memories home with her.
She said: “I’ve come back with a sense of knowing now, because I was quite ignorant to what was going on in these war-torn countries.
“It’s not something I’ve ever thought about. It’s quite sad to think that.
“I’ve brought it home with me.”
Despite the refugees’ plight, Stephanie – who is a goodwill ambassador of Bring Hope Humanitarian Foundation, which aims to save lives, alleviate suffering, and give refugee children hope for the future – says their morale was boosted when they saw her.
Speaking to ITV News, she added: “When I went in they knew I was there to help, it was just smiles, and a lot of love and a lot of gratitude.
“You can either go into despair or you can hope, and they hope and have dreams.”
Stephanie’s comments come two weeks after she first told fans about her visit, admitting she felt “very privileged” to have been allowed to visit the camps.
She wrote on Instagram: “I have just arrived back in the UK from Iraq Kurdistan where I spent a few days with my charity @bringhopefoundation visiting the refugee camps. This experience has opened my eyes to so much and changed me in ways I could have never imagined.. seeing first hand the devastation and poverty over there was truly heart breaking but I feel very privileged to have been allowed into to camps to help and provide the Yazidi ladies and children with much needed goods.
“What I have seen is their reality and has been for 6 years and nothing is going to change for them so all we can do as a charity is to provide them with everything they need, from clothes, medical supplies, sanitary protection, toys and books, football equipment and so much more.
“I was also able to chat with Nadia Murads family, Nadia has just won the Nobel Peace Prize .. her sister went into great detail about what happened to Nadia herself and family when ISIS invaded their village, her brothers murdered and the women were sold as sex slaves.. it was heart breaking to listen to. Jonah Hill: I’ve been given the freedom to blossom

OHMYGOSSIP — Jonah Hill is thankful he’s been given the freedom to “blossom”.
The 34-year-old actor – who has made his directorial debut with ‘Mid90s’ – is grateful to his friends and family for allowing him to openly discuss his own vulnerabilities.
He explained: “As I’ve grown up as a human being, and have had the emotional maturity and confidence to become a filmmaker, [I’ve reflected on] how I learned to communicate as a man and why that was problematic.
“I was taught and maybe culturally we were taught at that time, if you’re a man and you express your feelings or you express that something hurts you, then you should be made fun of. And that kind of repression leads to anger, and anger leads to bad behaviour.”
Jonah’s directorial debut tells the story of a group of teenage skateboarders in 90s-era Los Angeles.
And the Hollywood star has explained how ‘Mid90s’ explores the idea of toxic masculinity.
He told NPR: “I think I wanted to show a film about young men with an inability to express themselves. And in my life, it’s been a real joy being able to blossom and to feel free and comfortable in my own skin enough to express myself.”
The ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ actor thinks he’s taken a series of risks with his new movie, but he relished the challenge.
He said: “[I did] all the things they say you’re not supposed to do: work with kids, work with first-time actors, take on a subculture that hates being talked about, mentioned or represented.
“So for me there’s something about me that draws me to things that are difficult and maybe I’m uncomfortable with comfort and I think my acting career says that when I really dissect it, as well.”

Sheridan Smith ‘ran away’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sheridan Smith “lost the plot” and “ran away” after her father died.
The 37-year-old singer-and-actress was left devastated when her beloved father Colin passed away in 2016 and she admitted her loss sparked a “massive meltdown” that she’s only recently put behind her.
She said: “I kind of lost the plot after that and had a massive meltdown.
“I ran away. There’s that kind of northern, ‘Keep calm and carry on’ vibe – we’re all like that.
“I feel I’ve come out the other side now.”
The ‘Mrs Biggs’ actress admitted she has always found it “terrifying” to reflect on herself.
Speaking on upcoming documentary ‘Sheridan Smith: Coming Home’ – in which she returns to her hometown of Doncaster, North England, for the first time since her father’s death – she said: “To look at myself is terrifying.
“It’s scary and is something I guess I’ve run away from, for a long time.”
Sheridan has “always” struggled with anxiety, but previously admitted her battle “snowballed” following Colin’s death.
She said: “I’d been performing anyway leading up to that, and I’ve always had a bit of anxiety, and so I was a little bit nervous but the catalyst of it all was my dad.
“I want to say ‘It’s okay not to be okay’ because I didn’t speak about it and then it snowballed and it came to this huge head.”
And her grief caused Sheridan to cancel her appearance in the musical production ‘Funny Girl’, which she “hated” having to do.
She explained: “It was the worst thing, I hate it and I always think ‘The show must go on’ and I hate letting anyone down but I think the public understood in a way that you can’t choose when these things happen. It was a gradual build up when my dad got diagnosed and I just couldn’t continue, I lost my mind, I completely did to the point where people were stopping me in the street and cuddling me because people understand that, it’s just life. Unfortunately you can’t just take time off from a show, you get a lot of abuse so that’s what happened.”

Barbra Streisand doesn’t care if her honesty costs her money

OHMYGOSSIP — Barbra Streisand doesn’t care if her honesty reduces her record sales.
The 76-year-old icon – who will soon release her latest studio album, ‘Walls’ – has always been committed to being honest with her work, and she doesn’t care whether her candid nature damages her earnings.
She explained: “My first album in 1962 or something like that, my manager was able to get me artistic control. That means no one could tell me what to sing or what to name my album or even what the cover looks like. And that’s important to me.
“Truth has always worked for me, so to see the truth defiled every day is very, very painful for me. I only can do what I can do. I probably will turn a lot of people off.”
Barbra expresses the anger and frustration she’s currently feeling through her new album.
And the ‘Woman in Love’ hitmaker has insisted she really doesn’t mind whether people choose to buy her latest record or not.
Speaking to the New York Times newspaper, she shared: “I don’t know what people are going to think when they hear what’s on my mind. It may bring up things that are on their mind.
“‘Don’t Lie to Me’, if you don’t look at the video, can be a more general idea. But the music is upbeat, the music is interesting, it’s nice for me, kind of a contemporary track. And it expressed my anger, it expressed my frustration.
“I can only be true to me as an artist and if people like it that’s great, and if they don’t, they don’t have to buy it or listen to it. But me in real life is more important than me as the artist. As a citizen, that’s the role.”

Paloma Faith to star in new Disney Channel show 101 Dalmatian Street

OHMYGOSSIP — Paloma Faith has landed a role on new Disney Channel animated series ‘101 Dalmatian Street’.
The 37-year-old singer will voice the character Portia Poodle in the UK version of the series, which is inspired by Dodie Smith’s 1956 novel and Walt Disney’s beloved 1961 film, ‘101 Dalmatians’.
Paloma will be joined by Miriam Margolyes, Ben Bailey Smith, Tameka Empson and Bethan Wright as the guest stars on the UK version.
The series sees the characters re-imagined for the 21st century and is set in modern day London in Camden.
‘Silicon Valley’ actor Josh Brener and Michaela Dietz voice the dogs Dylan and Dolly, the eldest Dalmatian siblings, and the show follows their adventures along with the pooches’ parents Doug and Delilah and the other 97 puppies, whose names also begin with ‘D’.
Ben – also known as Doc Brown – will voice the characters Sid Squirrel and Spencer Sausage Dog, with the latter being Portia Poodle’s sidekick.
‘Harry Potter’ actress Miriam is to voice Bessie the Cornish Cow in a special summer holiday episode, ‘EastEnders’ actress Tameka will become Pearl Police Horse and ‘The Lodge’ star Bethan is Prunella Pug.
Revealing her excitement at playing Portia Poodle, Paloma – who has a 22-month-old child with her partner Leyman Lahcine – said: “I’m voicing a poodle who is dark, intense has tons of attitude. She is pretty much the coolest pup in Camden Town and loves taking centre stage when drama happens. As you can imagine Portia is hugely entertaining to voice and just one of many wonderful and colourful characters that are part of this incredible new series.”
Speaking about his two roles, Smith said: “I get to play two characters, a cheeky cockney trickster called Sid Squirrel, who is obsessed with nuts and Spencer Sausage Dog a snarky, snooty side-kick to Portia Poodle. They are so different from each other and from myself – it’s been incredibly fun getting into character. I am thrilled to be part of this brand new Disney Channel animated series and look forward to seeing the audience’s response to this new take on a beloved Disney classic.”
Disney Channel will first air ‘101 Dalmatian Street’ – written by Maria O’Loughlin and directed by Miklos Weigert – in the UK from spring 2019 and will continue to roll out on Disney Channels globally throughout 2019.

Ronnie Wood opens up on Confessin’ The Blues

OHMYGOSSIP — Ronnie Wood wanted to pay tribute to the blues masters who inspired the Rolling Stones.
The 71-year-old star and his bandmates – Sir Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Charlie Watts – have put together a complication album featuring what they consider the most important recordings in the genre’s history.
Speaking to Paul Sexton at the ‘Confessin’ The Blues’ launch event on Tuesday (30.10.18), he said: “It’s part of our education and part of our history.”
The band’s choices on the collection range from the likes of BB King to Jimmy Reed, and Ronnie is delighted with the list they have curated.
He added: “It’s a mind-boggling collection of blues artists. What Mick, Keith and Charlie know between them is all you need to know.”
Ronnie also recalled the UK’s blues boom in the 1960s, which saw the Stones put their own twist on it for a new generation of fans – but it was hard to come across the original recordings at the time.
He explained: “It was all record collectors and enthusiasts [seeking out the music]. They were a rare breed. The records were like gold dust. You could never get hold of them.
“I didn’t see a picture of Chuck Berry for years, and Howlin’ Wolf – you had no idea what he looked like. Putting a face to the name took many, many years.”
Meanwhile, the rocker recently opened up about his lung cancer diagnosis, and admitted he “knew it was going to be there” but he was lucky to be “strong enough not to let it be anywhere else in his body”.
Ronnie – who was diagnosed last year – was relieved when the cancer had not spread and he was able to undergo an operation to remove the cancer.
He explained: “I made up my mind that if it had spread, I wasn’t going to go through chemo, I wasn’t going to use that bayonet in my body. It’s more I wasn’t going to lose my hair.
“This hair wasn’t going anywhere. A week later they came back with the news that it hadn’t spread and I said, ‘Let’s get it out now.'”

Jennifer Lopez says dating Alex Rodriguez is easier than Ben Affleck

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez thinks dating Alex Rodriguez has been much easier than her relationship with Ben Affleck.
The 49-year-old star thinks her current romance has been far easier to navigate than her much-discussed relationship with the ‘Justice League’ star, which ended in January 2004 when the high-profile duo cancelled their marriage plans.
Speaking about the interest surrounding her love life, Jennifer shared: “It was actually worse then. It was just crazy. Now at least I can show you who I am a little bit.”
The ‘World of Dance’ star explained that social media has helped celebrities to bridge the gap between themselves and their fans.
Jennifer claimed it’s enabled herself and Alex, 43 – who has kids Natasha, 13, and Ella,10, with his ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis – to give their followers an insight into their real-life selves.
She told InStyle magazine: “Now people get to see that this guy they thought was this hard-nosed athlete is, like, a goofy dad who loves his kids and celebrates his girlfriend.”
Jennifer also thinks her current relationship is less dramatic than some of her other romances.
The ‘Jenny from the Block’ hitmaker – who was previously married to Marc Anthony, Cris Judd and Ojani Noa – feels as though she’s developed a more mature attitude over the years.
Reflecting on her relationship with the retired baseball star, Jennifer – who also previously dated P. Diddy – said: “When we met, we’d both already done a lot of work on ourselves.
“Everybody has flaws, and the people I want in my life are the people who recognise that and are willing to work on those flaws. It’s super-important: someone who’s willing to look at themselves and say, ‘OK, I’m not great here’ or ‘I could do better there.'”

George R.R. Martin confirms ‘Game of Thrones’ spin-off title

OHMYGOSSIP — George R.R. Martin has confirmed the upcoming ‘Game of Thrones’ spin-off show will be titled ‘The Long Night’.
The 70-year-old writer penned the ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ book series that the HBO fantasy show is based on, and has revealed in a casting announcement that the first of the proposed spin-off projects is set to be titled ‘The Long Night’.
Earlier this week, Naomi Watts was confirmed as the first big name attached to the upcoming series – which will be a prequel to the existing show – and George tweeted the news on Tuesday (31.10.18) night.
He wrote: “Casting is now underway for THE LONG NIGHT, the first of the GAME OF THRONES successor series to ordered to film. HBO has just announced the first cast member: NAOMI WATTS is coming on board as one of our stars. (sic)”
The main series of ‘Game of Thrones’ is set to come to an end when its eighth and final season airs next year, and ‘The Long Night’ is one of a reported five spin-off projects currently in development at HBO.
In a recent blog post, George added: “Meanwhile, there are still a couple of other possible prequels in active development. I can’t tell you the subject matter of those projects, no, sorry, wish I could. The readers among you might want to grab a copy of FIRE & BLOOD when it is released on November 20, though. (sic)”
Meanwhile Naomi, 50, was revealed to have landed one of the leading roles in ‘The Long Night’ by Variety magazine earlier this week.
Whilst her exact character details are being kept under wraps, the publication does report she’ll be playing “a charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret.”
Variety also reports the show on the whole will “chronicle the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend – it’s not the story we think we know.”

Justin Timberlake feels sad when his son would rather spend time with his mother

OHMYGOSSIP — Justin Timberlake sometimes feels “inept” when he son wants his mother rather than him.
The ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’ hitmaker has three-year-old Silas Randall with his wife Jessica Biel, and has said that sometimes the tot wants the attention of his mother rather than his father, and it can leave him feeling “bad for a moment” before he realises each parent offers their son something different.
Writing in his new book, ‘Hindsight: & All the Things I Can’t See in Front of Me’, he shared: “My son sometimes wants his mom; he just doesn’t want me. I can’t give him what he needs, sometimes, and he pushes me away. I’ll feel bad for a moment. I’ll feel inept. Why can’t I help him? Why doesn’t he love me? I have to remind myself that of course he loves me. But she’s his mother, and that’s who he wants right now.”
But moments like that have helped the 37-year-old singer open up about his feelings, as he now speaks more freely when things are upsetting him.
He added: “Until I became a father, I thought I had things to be afraid of. Now I understand that I don’t have to conquer my fears. I just have to learn to live with them.”
When Silas was first born, the ‘Say Something’ singer and his spouse were keen to keep him out of the spotlight and “away from people”, and Justin explained in his book that it felt “invigorating” to start that new chapter in his life.
He wrote: “It was important to us to choose how to share him with the world because this is a whole new era for me. It’s no longer just about me. I have a wife, a child – a family. It’s terrifying. It’s invigorating. It’s more meaningful than anything I’ve ever been a part of.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Jackman “teared up” when he saw Pink and her daughter perform ‘The Greatest Showman’ song ‘A Million Dreams’.
The 50-year-old actor starred in the 2017 movie as P.T. Barnum, and recently saw the singer and her seven-year-old daughter Willow – whom she has with husband Carey Hart – perform the track, which features on the movie’s soundtrack, before a concert in Australia.
He told Entertainment Tonight: “Well, they were amazing. I got to see them backstage at the show when they were down in Australia and, you know, they were really touched by the movie and it meant a lot to them and the fact that they reached out and asked to do this [and] Willow actually sang, it meant the world to me. I teared up when I saw that video for the first time.”
The video, which was released last week, shows Pink and her daughter working to recreate the track from the film, as the ‘So What’ hitmaker features on the ‘Greatest Showman – Reimagined’ album, which features the songs from the film redone by several big name artists.
Meanwhile, Pink documented her meeting with Hugh in August this year, where she praised him for being a “rare unicorn”.
She said on Instagram: “Some people, if you can believe it, are even better in real life.
“This guy is one of those rare unicorns. and my daughter was damn happy too. #Repost@thehughjackman (sic)”

He said: “The amazing @pink One of the best concerts I have ever seen! And, she’s been sick all week. Inspiring (sic)”

Courtney Stodden wants divorce signed off

OHMYGOSSIP — Courtney Stodden has asked a judge to sign off on her divorce after months of waiting for Doug Hutchison to file a response.
The 24-year-old reality star filed for divorce in March 2008 – 14 months after splitting from the 58-year-old actor – but the ‘Green Mile’ actor has not attended any court hearings or submitted documents in relation to her petition, so she wants the court to grant her a default judgement, according to documents obtained by The Blast.
However, the judge has ruled Courtney’s proof of service for the divorce was inadequate so if the blonde beauty – who cited irreconcilable differences in her petition – wants to pursue the default, she now needs to provide evidence she served Doug with the divorce papers.
When she filed for divorce, the former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star didn’t request spousal support from her estranged husband and later admitted she hadn’t asked for it because she was the “breadwinner” in their relationship and there would be no point seeking money he doesn’t have.
The pair tied the knot in May 2011 when Courtney was just 16 years old and the actor was 51, but they split up just three years later because the model decided she wanted to “screw” other men because she hadn’t got the chance beforehand.
She said: “In that single spree, it wasn’t necessarily to be mature and find myself and stuff like that. I just wanted to go out and screw to be completely honest, because I had never had that opportunity. I went from my parents to Doug. I didn’t go to prom or go on dates with other guys.”
They then reconciled a short while after because she realised what an “incredible man” the actor is, but they were struck yet another blow in 2016 when Courtney sadly miscarried their baby and that put pressure on their relationship.
She said recently: “I think when a couple faces a difficult trial in life together, whatever that may be, it either tears you apart or brings you together. And I think right now we’re kind of in the kind of crossroads point where we’re trying to figure it out.”
Courtney announced that she and Doug had ended their marriage at the beginning of last year but neither of them requested a divorce until the following year.
She said at the time: “We are legally separated … it’s only been, like, two and a half months. I’m also trying to take things slow because I love him and it’s really hard on him … it’s extremely sensitive.”

Wendy Williams: Halloween is not my favourite date

OHMYGOSSIP — Wendy Williams says Halloween is “not her favourite date” after she fainted live on air exactly a year ago.
The 54-year-old television presenter collapsed during an episode of ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ on October 31 last year after suffering from dehydration and becoming “overheated” in her Statue of Liberty costume, and although she still dressed up for the spooky occasion on Wednesday (31.10.18), she admitted the holiday is not her favourite.
Speaking during her show on Wednesday, she said: “You know it’s not my favourite date; it never has been, for all of my life it never has been. And it of course it’s also the one-year anniversary of my ‘faintation.’ So the day doesn’t necessarily bring up a good mood to me. But I’m dressed up.
“I love you for watching. And I’ve got my heart necklace and all that … so I’m dressed as the Queen of Hearts.”
After her collapse, Wendy took time away from her TV show after she learned she was battling an over active thyroid as well as Graves’ disease, an autoimmune disorder related to the thyroid that causes high blood pressure and eye protrusions.
She said at the time: “I had a storm going in my body is the best way I can explain it. I love doing my show. But I love me more.
“There’s a lot of smart women doing dumb things with their health and I fell into that category as well. I’m glad my situation was caught in a timely manner.”
Wendy also admitted that she wouldn’t have been able to get through the health scare if it wasn’t for her husband Kevin Hunter because he had supported her the whole time.
She explained: “My husband was extremely concerned. He’s not just my husband, he’s my business partner, one of the executive producers on the show and he’s also my manager. He and I are glued at the hip. He was with me every step. For him, seeing me go through all of this, it’s really been trying on him. I’ve been concerned about him. I’m like, ‘Don’t worry about me!'”

Kendra Wilkinson settles divorce

OHMYGOSSIP — Kendra Wilkinson has settled her divorce.
The 33-year-old reality star filed for divorce from estranged husband Hank Baskett – with whom she has son Hank IV, eight, and daughter Alijah, four – six months ago, and according to The Blast, the terms of their split have now been settled.
The publication reports custody, spousal support, and property division have all been agreed and submitted for approval by their judge, and if granted, the pair will officially be divorced.
Earlier this month, Kendra signed her final divorce paper and took to social media to share the “brutal” news with her followers.
She wrote: “Signed my last divorce paper Friday. Brutal. . I gave it all i got. Truly did. Im beyond proud of myself!! Fought to save til the last second. Oh well. Life goes on. Bye lol (sic)”
The ‘Kendra on Top’ star had previously revealed she was finding it tough to “heal” following her split from the former American footballer, whom she married in 2009.
She said: “Just when I think I’m healed, I start to cry. Sorry I’m not a perfect person. I’m really sorry.”
She later posted a separate photo on her story which claimed that “#DivorceSucks (sic)” after finding herself doing some summer cleaning in her home.
She added: “Maybe now is the time for a dating app just to help me with my garage. Left in the dust like … I need a man please. Wait no I don’t.”
Kendra filed papers to divorce Hank in April, and it was previously claimed she is keen to get the process finished with as she’s eager to move on with her life.
An insider said: “Kendra and Hank’s divorce is not final yet. It has been a back and forth process and they have been sorting out the custody limitations and agreements, which is prolonging the situation.
“She understands that a divorce in general takes a great amount of time to process, but is completely over it, [and wants it] to be done and over with.”

Harvey Weinstein accused of sexually assaulting 16 year old girl

OHMYGOSSIP — Harvey Weinstein has been accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in 2002.
The 66-year-old disgraced movie mogul has faced several allegations of sexual harassment since October last year, and now, a former model from Poland has alleged that she was the victim of sexual assault at the hands of the producer when she was just 16 and still a virgin.
According to The New York Post’s Page Six column, an amended Manhattan federal racketeering lawsuit was filed on Wednesday (31.10.18), which claimed that after agreeing to meet for a business lunch in 2002, Weinstein instead took the woman – who is named only as Jane Doe in the papers – to his Soho apartment.
The suit claims Jane Doe told Weinstein she was only 16 when she got in his car for what she thought was a business lunch, and alleges he told her she wouldn’t make it as an actress if she didn’t do as he said.
The suit alleges: “Weinstein wasted no time in aggressively and threateningly demanding sex.
“Weinstein threatened and pressured Jane Doe, saying that he had ‘made’ the careers of Penelope Cruz and Gwyneth Paltrow, and that neither would be working without him.
“He then took off his pants and forcibly held Jane Doe while taking her hand and making her touch and massage his penis.”
Weinstein allegedly became enraged when the teenager objected to his advances and refused to let her leave his apartment – though he eventually relented.
The papers also claim Weinstein then pursued the model for the next decade, and helped her land a role in 2004’s ‘The Nanny Diaries’, but she continued to resist his demands for sex.
In 2008, the pair met to arrange for her to sign up with the modelling agency Marilyn, and the suit alleges that Weinstein spotted Christina Aguilera on a nearby TV and said: “‘Wow, I’d really like to f**k that p***y’ then unzipped his pants and began touching his penis.”
Jane Doe allegedly fled the room, and now claims Weinstein “ensured she never received work” because she refused to sleep with him.
The report also claims abuse and harassment left her depressed and exacerbated her anorexia.
Weinstein’s lawyer Ben Brafman said: “I have not seen the amended complaint so it’s hard for me to respond substantively, but based on everything I know, it would appear to me that there is no truth to this allegation whatsoever.”
