Alison King felt like ‘a right numpty’ over Corrie plot

OHMYGOSSIP — Alison King felt like “a right numpty” when her ‘Coronation Street’ character got together with Daniel Osbourne.
The 45-year-old actress’ returning storyline to the ITV soap after a break saw her alter-ego Carla Connor hook up with younger guy Daniel – played by 26-year-old Rob Mallard – and the former ‘Dream Team’ star admits the plot made her feel old.
She said: “It’s embarrassing isn’t it? I come back off of a two-year break and they’re telling me, ‘You’re old,’ and all of the punters are in the Rovers going, ‘She’s too old for [Daniel].
“I felt like a right numpty.”
Alison also admitted she and Rob were both “shaking with nerves” ahead of their kissing scenes together.
She said: “They put you with the youngest boy in town and you just have to get on with it.
“He was shaking with nerves … and so was I.
“It’s harsh to be on this open set and to have [directors] go, ‘Kiss.’
“And everyone’s going, ‘Oh, bless him.’ And I’m like, ‘Bless him? What about me?’ ”
Factory boss Carla is known as a no-nonsense character, and Alison has revealed she based part of her alter-ego’s characteristics on her own “very strong” mother.
She added to Acumen magazine: “The age group of the girls who watch and identify with Carla Connor in the UK may believe she has that type of appeal.
“She’s a strong character. Viewers tend to see Carla’s weaknesses as her strengths because she always seems to pull herself out of things.
“I guess, I also pull some inspiration for Carla’s character from my mum, who is a very strong woman.”

Mel B appears to make dig at Victoria Beckham in Posh Spice mask

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel B appeared to make a dig at Victoria Beckham as she dressed up as her Spice Girls bandmate for Halloween.
The 43-year-old singer – who was known as Scary Spice in the girl group – donned a mask of the 44-year-old fashion designer’s face and held a cardboard sign expressing Posh Spice’s feelings about the ‘Viva Forever’ hitmakers’ planned reunion shows at pal Heidi Klum’s party in New York.
The placard read: “NO I AM NOT GOING ON TOUR.”
Mel was joined at the bash by her friend Gary Madatyan, who dressed up as Victoria’s husband David Beckham.
He too carried a sign, which begged: “Please, please, please do it for the Spice fans.”
Alongside a picture of the pair posted on Instagram, Mel wrote: “Yesssss @heidiklum yippppeee first year coming to her party wow wow wow what an amazing Halloween party right now, seriously it’s on fire haha me and @gary_90210 never laughed soooo much #livingmybestlife #ny #bellylaughs @lavony was lit (sic)”
It was recently reported that the 90s stars signed a deal for a UK tour next year – without Victoria.
The ‘Say You’ll Be There’ hitmakers are said to have agreed a contract that will see four of them land around £12 million each for 13 British shows, including three nights at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium, but Posh Spice won’t be joining them on stage.
A source said last month:”After much to’ing and fro’ing, a deal has been signed, and an official announcement will be made soon.
“The girls can’t wait to go back on tour, perform to the fans and sing some of their greatest hits.”
It was claimed in June that a deal for a tour had collapsed after Victoria pulled out.
A source said at the time: “The Spice Girls are in disarray. While Victoria has always insisted she’d never tour, the others believed manager Simon Fuller would get her on board.
“They had a £150million proposal in the offing – with a headline performance at Wembley – and even Mel C, who had previously been reluctant, was signed up.
“With things still up in the air, there were a few heated debates between the girls and Victoria.
“Simon [Fuller, former manager] was brought in to convince her to take the offer but now he’s failed they feel he’s used them to put his name back on the map.”
But just a month before, Mel B had revealed the group had signed a comeback contract.
She said: “We are in the process of figuring stuff out, all five of us have signed with Simon Fuller. I don’t know what is going to happen or when but it is all very exciting. There’s going to be a bit of everything.
“If it was up to me we would go on tour immediately. Maybe we will, soon … I’ve always said we’re definitely touring, I think I’ve just been nagging them too much and once I stopped nagging them they all said yes, I just need to shut my mouth.

Eva Longoria has 10 Halloween outfits for baby Santiago

OHMYGOSSIP — Eva Longoria has “10” different Halloween outfits for her baby son Santiago.
The 43-year-old actress plans to stay in dressing up her four-month-old son tonight (31.10.18) on the annual spooky holiday, as she has been “dying” to get him in some of the cute costumes she picked out.
She said: “I got like 10 outfits for him, so he’ll be having some changes.
“Everybody goes, ‘Where are you going?’ and I go, ‘Nowhere. We’re not even leaving the house!’ I just am dying to dress him up!”
Becoming a mother has been “life-changing” for the former ‘Desperate Housewives’ star.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “[When I was pregnant], all my friends were like, ‘Just wait, just wait.’ I’m like, ‘I know, it’s going to be great.
“I mean, I get it, [it’ll be] life changing great.’ But every cliché that people told me, it’s like that times 10.”
And she is loving witnessing Santiago – whom she has with husband Jose ‘Pepe’ Baston – grow and learn new things.
She said: “For the first two months he was like a beautiful blob and now he’s, you know, grabbing and reacting and touching my face. Every stage is my favourite.”
Eva recently hailed the tot her “miracle” baby and admitted she’s still astonished that she created such a “bundle of love”.
She posted on Instagram: “My little angel is 4 months old today! It’s going by too fast!
“I still look at Santi and wonder how my body created and nourished this little bundle of love! Truly a miracle! From the moment he was placed in my arms, I knew no love like this before. Happy 4month Birthday mi Santi precioso!!! (sic)”
The ‘Overboard’ star previously admitted she felt lucky to have had such a “dream” baby.
She said: “He’s a dream, and he’s such a good baby. I knock on wood. He’s just been so easy, so sweet, we’ve been really lucky, he’s super healthy. It’s just been great. Everything he does is cute. His noises he makes, his smile. He’s finding his voice, so he makes all these funny [baby noises], you’re just like, ‘What was that?’ He talks a lot. I mean, he just wants to talk and talk.”
There’s a possibility that Eva and Pepe – who got marred in 2016 – may have more children in the future, but right now she’s still “recovering” from her first pregnancy.
She said: “Oh gosh, you know what, let me recover from this one. It’s too soon to tell.”

Millie Mackintosh’s tearful business failure

OHMYGOSSIP — Millie Mackintosh “cried every day for two months” after her business went bust.
The former ‘Made In Chelsea’ star was devastated when her fashion business went down hill at the beginning of the year and says the whole experience was “anxiety inducing”.
She said: “It’s been an up-and-down year. I’ve had the highest highs and the lowest lows. When the business went under it was upsetting and not just for me. The worst part was feeling like I’d let down everyone involved. I sat people down and let them know what was happening. It was upsetting, anxiety inducing, tearful … I cried every day for two months. It was painful. Horrible.”
And despite the ups and downs, the 29-year-old reality star is “proud” of herself for giving it a go.
She added to the December issue of Red magazine: “I was trying to save it, trying to get investment. I self-invested, then left it too late to get outside investment. It’s hard when you’re paying to make stock before money’s come in. In the end, the fun, creative part that I really loved got lost under the strain of trying to keep it together. Time heals.
“I’m still proud of myself for attempting to start my own thing and I still have clothes in my wardrobe, but now I think, ‘Was I completely crazy?’ I must have been! But I’ve learnt so much from seeing the business inside out, every job. Although it didn’t work out, it’s taught me useful lessons for the future. I’m looking at it as something I can learn from.”

David Witts: EastEnders fan attention was weird

OHMYGOSSIP — David Witts found it “weird” receiving so much fan attention while he was on ‘EastEnders’.
The 27-year-old actor appeared on the soap as Joey Branning for 18 months until Boxing Day 2013, and the ‘Wicked’ star admits it was “so strange” being inundated with requests for pictures, his time on the show didn’t feel like “real life”.
He said: “‘EastEnders’, when I think back on it, feels like a dream. It just doesn’t seem like real life.
“I can leave here and just get on a Tube and go home and my life isn’t really impacted, whereas on ‘EastEnders’ it just takes over your whole life.
“You can’t go anywhere without people rushing up to you and wanting to take pictures and stuff and that’s just so strange. It will never not be weird.”
Despite enjoying his ‘EastEnders’ “success”, David was “chomping at the bit” to take on different projects, and he has since gone on to star in US teen drama ‘Recovery Road’ and is currently playing Fiyero in musical ‘Wicked’.
He said: “When you’re so young and you go and do a show like that – I was enjoying the success but I was just chomping at the bit to do anything.
“When I look back on it it was a really short amount of time, but it felt like I was in it for ages.
“I never anticipated doing it for very long and also I was so young. I was 21 years old and at that age I wanted to do so many different things.”
While ‘EastEnders’ bosses left the door open for David to potentially return, because Joey departed Albert Square to live with his mother, the actor doesn’t see why his character would head back to Walford – unless he needed to pick up one of his old jackets.
He added to The Sun Online: “The thing is, I think everyone’s dead who I would come into contact with. I think anyway – I haven’t seen it in a long time.
“I don’t think there would be a reason to go back there, unless he left something behind, left a jacket that he likes and just needs to pop in and pick it up.”

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s hairstylist Jen Atkin says photos are key to a great cut

OHMYGOSSIP — Celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin says the secret to ensuring you get a great cut is to always bring photos to the salon with you.
The beauty expert – who is responsible for taming the manes of the likes of Chrissy Teigen, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Kim Kardashian West and the rest of her sisters – insists if you want a specific style that you have seen sported by a star, or even just a friend, then bring along images of what it is you want.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight Online, she revealed: “Bring photos to your hair appointment! Photos make it easier to explain since words can mean different things to everyone. They will also help with discussing what haircut would look best during your consultation. Mane Addicts has tons of inspo pics for your next haircut.”
Jen – who founded OUAI Haircare – is now venturing out of the hair care world and has launched a range of luggage in a collaboration with CALPAK this week.
The star stylist is open to as many different projects as she can take on as she doesn’t want to put limits on herself and she has teased she has lots more exciting ventures coming up.
She said: “It’s 2018, the idea that you should just be a ‘hairstylist’ is an old way of thinking. I’m into just solving problems and working with brands that can help bring a vision to life. There are some things I have in the works, so stay tuned for what’s to come!”
Jen – who has 2.6 million followers on Instagram – has to travel constantly for her work and it was her own luggage problems that influenced what she wanted to achieve with her collection with CALPAK.
She said: “I’m constantly travelling. I’ve spent hours waiting for baggage claims or dealing with different luggage issues. I’ve spent a fortune on fancy luggage and got to the point where the little things got me. Zippers on my expensive luggage were always breaking, I’ve had problems with wheels or the luggage getting dented – there was a lot of stuff I felt like I could work on.”

Kelly Brook feared boyfriend Jeremy Parisi was a catfish

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelly Brook initially thought she was being catfished by boyfriend Jeremy Parisi before they started dating.
The 38-year-old model has revealed she was the one that “slipped into” the French-Italian hunk’s Instagram DMs’, and after six months talking on the social media app, the busty brunette beauty asked Jeremy to go on Skype before they met in person, to ensure it was actually him.
Whilst co-hosting Heart radio, she shared: “I met him on Instagram! It’s the way forward. I saw a video of him and I thought, ‘Oh I wonder if he’s on Instagram’.
“Obviously he was, as everyone is, and I started following him and I saw he followed me back, so I just slipped in to the DMs and I was like, ‘Ohhh thank you for the follow’.
“I wasn’t very cool, I went straight in!”
She added: “I didn’t want to be catfished so I wanted to make sure it was him and I said to him ‘Um, is this definitely you?’ and he said, ‘Uh, is this definitely you?’ so I said, ‘Well let’s Skype’, so then once I saw it was him we could have a proper conversation.
“We spoke on social media for about six months.
“We didn’t really see each other, we were just friends.”
The pair have been dating for over three years now, and Kelly previously revealed the fitness instructor turned her down when she asked him to marry her, but if she does tie the knot one day she is keen to have a triple wedding.
She said: “I think if I did it small and intimate, I’d want it big and extravagant, and the other way round.
“I don’t really know [what type of wedding I’d like], it’s a really tricky one.
“Probably both, I’d like to have lots of different ones.
“My boyfriend’s Italian, I’m English and I’ve got lots of friends in America, so we’d have to have one in every country I think.”
Kelly – who has dated the likes of Jason Statham, Thom Evans, Billy Zane and Danny Cipriani – also admitted she has been known to get him to pose for private topless photoshoots from time-to-time during their walks in the countryside.
She spilled: “We were out walking and I said, ‘Oh, I could be an Abercrombie & Fitch kind of picture here, take your shirt off.’
“I made him stand there for about 10 minutes. I had a great time – lovely afternoon.”

Christina Aguilera: Touring’s less narcissistic now

OHMYGOSSIP — Christina Aguilera feels touring is less “narcissistic” now her children come along with her.
The ‘Genie in a Bottle’ hitmaker has brought her kids – Max Liron, 10, and Summer Rain, four – on the road with her for her Liberation Tour and it has completely changed the experience for her.
She told Entertainment Tonight: “It’s a lot of extra work. But it’s amazing. It’s actually why I was hesitant because it’s a lot to juggle, so many hats and so many things at the same time.
“I’m ultimately Mama Bear, so whenever we check into a hotel, it’s hard. Sometimes it’s four in the morning, but it’s not all about me. It’s different from touring when you’re 21 years old. It’s very narcissistic, and all you think about is yourself. All you have to think about is yourself, and now you’re thinking about the blankies and the favourite stuffies and it’s all the mom stuff.”
Meanwhile, Christina previously revealed she took a decade off from touring to be with her family.
She said: “Being a mom is really important to me and I’m a very hands-on mom. I never want them to feel that they live in my shadow or that they are not important. I don’t wanna be that kind of mom, so I took some time off for them. But momma needs to go back to what she’s meant to do.”
And the mother-of-two feels “fulfilled and alive” after returning to the stage.
Referring to her opening show in Florida, she wrote: “What an amazing warm welcome back to the stage after 10 years (too many!) – felt like coming HOME again!! Thanks to all of you in Florida for your beautiful energy. I feel fulfilled and alive and cannot wait to see you Fighters in New Jersey on Friday. #LiberationTour (sic)”

Simon Cowell misses Louis Walsh on X Factor

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell misses Louis Walsh on ‘The X Factor’.
The talent show boss – who judges the show alongside Robbie Williams, Ayda Field and Louis Tomlinson – has admitted it feels different being on the panel without the long-running judge, but joked the music mogul could always make a return as a contestant.
Speaking to Lizzie Cundy at the Health Lottery Afternoon Tea event, he said: “Yes I am [missing Louis]. But you know, he still does ‘Ireland’s Got Talent’ and he can come back … as a contestant.
“We have the Overs category so we would have to have the older and older category. For the over 80s.”
Although Louis, 66, announced he was quitting after 13 years before the current ‘X Factor’ series, he has recently praised the singing competition and thinks it’s a step above rival reality shows.
He previously said: “I have nothing negative to say about ‘X Factor’, it’s the best show in the world. ‘Strictly’? That’s for older people, I watch ‘X Factor.’ ”
The music manager has been tuning into the current run, and he refused to criticise the panel, instead heaping praise on ‘Angels’ hitmaker Robbie.
He added: “Of course I’ve been watching. Robbie is great, I’ve loved Robbie. I’m not saying anything bad. I talked to Simon twice today.”
Releasing a statement over the summer, Louis revealed he was bowing out of the show after more than a decade.
He explained: “I’ve had a fantastic 13 years on ‘The X Factor’ but the show needs a change and I’m ready to leave.”

Louis Theroux strips off at X-rated party for new documentary

OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Theroux was covered in cream by topless women at an X-rated party for his new documentary.
The broadcaster was blindfolded as he attended the dinner party for his new BBC series ‘Altered States’, in which he explored multi-partner relationships in the episode ‘Love Without Limits’, and he says revellers were “spasming in ecstasy” at the bash.
He told The Sun newspaper: “I felt like I needed to throw myself into it in order to show commitment and be respectful to the others.
“Everyone else was going way further than I was. There were people kind of spasming in ecstasy.
“There was a lot of nipple tweaking and one woman went round squirting whipped cream on her breasts and feeding the whipped cream to various people. That was one of those images you’ll have in your head forever.”
Louis admits his wife of six years , film director Nancy Strang, isn’t the type to “get insecure”, and she understood the father-of-three was there in a professional capacity.
He added: “She’s a very understanding and cool person, not the sort of person to get insecure and in a flap about something like that.
“I don’t even know if she was really listening. I don’t remember what she said, probably something like, ‘By the way, you still haven’t taken out the rubbish.’ ”
While Louis was initially won over by the potential benefits of such a relationship, he wasn’t too enthusiastic by the end of the documentary.
He explained: “A lot of it relates to new relationship energy – the idea that when you first fall for someone else after opening up your relationship you are bound to have a flood of endorphins and excitement and you’ll be buzzing. And the old relationship just feels a bit left behind.”
Louis Theroux’s ‘Altered States: Love Without Limits’ airs on BBC Two on November 4 at 9pm.

EastEnders’ Jamie Borthwick is related to co-star Charlie Winter

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Borthwick is related to his ‘EastEnders’ co-star Charlie Winter.
The 24-year-old star – who has played Jay Brown on the BBC One soap since 2006 – recently discovered he and Walford newcomer Charlie (Hunter Owen) are second cousins after doing some digging when he was told the 22-year-old actor, who shares the same name as his uncle, was joining the programme.
Jamie told Inside Soap magazine: “Charlie Winter and I are family.
“My great uncle is called Charlie Winter, so when they said there was a kid coming in called Charlie Winter, I was like, ‘Seriously?’
“Turns out we are second cousins.”
Jamie and Charlie’s news isn’t the first time this year a soap pair have discovered they are related to one another.
Coronation Street’s Sally Ann Matthews – who plays Jenny Connor – found out she and former cobbles stalwart Amanda Barrie (Alma Halliwell) are in fact cousins.
The pair discovered the news when they appeared on ITV show ‘Coronation Street’s DNA Secrets’, which explored the genealogical links of several cast members, in September.
Sally said at the time: “I am so surprised, but thrilled. In a bizarre kind of way, of course it was Amanda.
“That’s what’s really weird about it.”
Amanda – who portrayed Alma from 1981 to 2001 – added: “Funnily enough, I always felt close to Sally Ann. Now I feel extremely close and extremely proud.”
Sally starred alongside Amanda during her first stint in ‘Corrie’ in the late 80s and early 90s, and the 82-year-old star joked she was pleased to find out she is related to the actress because she might need some of her organs.
She said: “Have you found any money in the family, darling?
“I thought I would come around the corner you would go, ‘Oh no.’
“I’ve always liked you. I’m also relieved that now I’m so old you might have organs to spare.”
But Sally joked: “You’re not having my kidney, but I’ll buy you a cup of tea.”

Julius Avery ‘set to direct Flash Gordon remake’

OHMYGOSSIP — Julius Avery is reportedly being eyed to write and direct a ‘Flash Gordon’ remake.
The Australian filmmaker has already held talks to helm the movie on behalf of Fox, according to The Hollywood Reporter, which says that Matthew Vaughn – who was previously set to helm the project – will remain as a producer.
The original ‘Flash Gordon’ movie was released in 1980 and starred Sam J. Jones as the central character.
Matthew Vaughn – who previously helmed ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’ – was attached to direct the project back in 2015.
But in 2017, Matthew noted that a prospective ‘Flash Gordon’ movie was facing increased competition from other space franchises, such as ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’.
He explained: “You’ve got ‘Star Wars’, you’ve got ‘Guardians’, so you’ve got to have your own space opera, but you have to find something that can survive among these two very, very great franchises.”
Meanwhile, Matthew also previously acknowledged that it’s difficult to make a successful sequel or follow-up movie.
The filmmaker confessed: “It’s very hard to be original twice.
“People want what they loved about the first film, but if you do have too much of the same people say, ‘This is too repetitive and boring’. Then, if you make it completely different, people say ‘that’s not a sequel.'”

Jonah Hill: Acting derailed me from directing

OHMYGOSSIP — Jonah Hill feels as though acting “derailed” him from directing.
The Hollywood star has just written and directed his first movie, ‘Mid90s’, and Jonah has claimed that the success he enjoyed in front of the camera merely served to delay his switch to working behind the camera.
He explained: “You find the right compliment for the right insecure person and that could change your life. It derailed me for 16 years.”
Jonah – whose new movie tells the story of a group of teenage skateboarders in 90s-era Los Angeles – also revealed how working with Martin Scorsese on ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ informed his own approach to directing.
Speaking to NPR, he shared: “I guess the main lesson I learned was that it’s OK not to judge your characters, to just show their behavior as people. And the characters in his films often do really ugly things and you still find humanity in them.”
Jonah, 34, explained how he tried to incorporate some of Scorsese’s ideas into his directorial debut.
The acclaimed star said: “I like how unabashedly and unapologetically he shows human behavior, for better or worse. … Which is, I think, something that really speaks to me in art in general and something I’m going to strive to do if I’m lucky enough to get to make another film, and something that I tried to do in ‘Mid90s’.”

Dave Grohl says Marilyn Manson killed grunge

OHMYGOSSIP — Dave Grohl says Marilyn Manson helped kill the grunge scene.
The former Nirvana drummer was a driving force behind the genre’s popularity in the late 1990s, but he has suggested the rise of shock-rock and goth glamour shifted things away from the DIY punk ethos.
He told Alt 98.7: “Marilyn Manson gets big, and you’re like oh cool, now you’ve got something that is really fantastic to look at, it’s really moving, and really powerful.
“The imagery and the music too, you are like, wow that’s cool man! Then the hip hop scene sort of took over all of the glamour that the rock and roll thing sort of had in the 80s.
“It’s kind of cyclical in this weird way, eventually you’ll get to a place where you’ll have a hip hop artist who doesn’t go that route, or a rock band that does go the glam route.”
Meanwhile, the Foo Fighters frontman explained that in a similar way, it was grunge that stepped up as an alternative to the era of extravagant acts like Motley Crue.
he said: “In the 80s you had all these rock bands that got huge. There was so much glamour, all the dudes had crazy hair, limos, they were shooting their videos at Crazy Girls, riding Harleys…it kind of went its course or whatever.
“Then there were a lot of bands that loved playing rock music, but didn’t have anything to do with that. It was more about we’re just dirty kids who play in garages and write these songs.
