Anne Hegerty fears letting people down on I’m A Celebrity

OHMYGOSSIP — Anne Hegerty worries about “letting people down” on ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here’.
The 60-year-old television personality insists she “doesn’t take much nonsense” from people but admits she is concerned she will let people down when she enters the famous camp.
She told The Sun newspaper: “I don’t take much nonsense, but I take more nonsense from people than you might think. If I was to go in the jungle I would be worried about letting people down.”
Others stars set to enter the jungle include singer Fleur East, football manager Harry Redknapp, musician James McVey and actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer.
Declan Donnelly will return to host the show alongside Holly Willoughby, who has been drafted in to replace Ant McPartlin as he takes some time away from the spotlight to focus on his sobriety.
Explaining why he opted for Holly to stand in as presenter, Dec said: “As always I’m incredibly excited to be heading to Oz for I’m A Celebrity. It is obviously tinged with sadness that Ant won’t be coming this year, I’m going to really miss him, but it’s only for one series and he’ll be back stronger next year. I didn’t want to host this series with another guy so Holly was top of my list.”
And Ant helped choose Holly as his replacement on the show.
She added: “We’ve spoken and he’s happy – he was part of the decision that I’d do it. He just needs to look after himself, that’s the most important thing. He knows I’ll look after the show and keep it warm for him … On ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ it’s important to have chemistry and to have a friendship as a starting point you can grow from. It’s that unspoken thing: you know how the other person speaks, how their sentences are going to end. That helps a lot. It’s definitely bittersweet. ‘I’m A Celebrity..’ is a huge show but nobody wanted to have to be asked to do it. It’s not nice for anyone.”

Julia Hills cast in EastEnders

OHMYGOSSIP — Julia Hills has been cast in ‘EastEnders’.
The ‘2point4Children’ star – who played Rona Harris in the BBC sitcom – will portray larger-than-life choir leader Morag in the BBC One soap for a number of episodes in the coming weeks.
Morag will try to lead Walford’s Christmas Choir to victory, but she will ruffle some feathers along the way.
Julia’s first appearance will be in an episode in which Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) will attend the choir session in yet another feeble attempt to win back the affections of his ex Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite).
The 61-year-old actress is best known for taking on the role of man-eater Rona in all eight series of the popular ‘2point4Children’, which aired from 1991 to 1999.
She also starred in sketch show ‘Who Dares Wins’ and has appeared in ‘Casualty’ in two separate stints, as well as had parts in ‘Peak Practice’, and ‘Dad’.
Julia is no stranger to a soap having featured in ‘Doctors’ in 2002, and again in 2010.
This comes just a day after it was confirmed Roger Griffiths is to reprise his role as Mitch Baker on the BBC One soap.
He said: “It feels great to be returning to Albert Square and working with the wonderful cast and crew again, especially the fantastic Taylor family.
“I’m excited for the viewers to learn more about Mitch and see what trouble he gets himself into this time.”
Mitch will attempt to make amends with his son Keegan Baker (Zack Morris) and ex Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley).

Lorde accuses Kanye West of stealing her live show ideas

OHMYGOSSIP — Lorde has accused Kanye West of “stealing” her production ideas for his and Kid Cudi’s Kids See Ghosts live show.
The ‘Royals’ hitmaker has commented on part of the duo’s collaborative show at Camp Flog Gnaw festival over the weekend, which saw them performing in a suspended perspex box.
Noting she did something very similar for her festival run last year, she wrote on Instagram: “I’m proud of the work I do, and it’s flattering when other artists feel inspired by it, to the extent that they choose to try it on themselves.
“But don’t steal – not from women or anyone else – not in 2018 or ever.”
The 22-year-old singer’s comments on the live stunt come as Kanye – who is yet to respond to the claims – has said his upcoming ‘Yandhi’ album will be delayed again.
The 41-year-old rapper’s next solo album was due to be released in September, before his wife Kim Kardashian West suggested it was coming on Black Friday (23.11.18) and said it will be “worth the wait.
However, after performing over the weekend he had a realisation that the planned LP isn’t ready to be released yet – so fans will have to wait a bit longer.
He tweeted: “It felt so good being on the stage last night with my brother Cudi.
“After performing again, I realize the new album I’ve been working on isn’t ready yet. I’ll announce the release date once it’s done. Thank you for understanding. (sic)”
Meanwhile, Kanye has started to follow a trend set by 2016 LP ‘The Life of Pablo’, as he’s made post-release changes to ‘I Thought About Killing You’ from his ‘Ye’ record, this time because he hadn’t cleared the beats used on the track.

Simon Cowell reveals reason for Little Mix split from Syco

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell reveals Little Mix’s split from Syco Records was down to a songwriting dispute.
The 59-year-old music mogul has confirmed the hugely popular girl group – who won ‘The X Factor’ in 2011 before signing to his label – have left after a disagreement with their reps at Modest Management.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: “It was just embarrassing but, funnily enough, I was more annoyed… not about me, but about the fact people who had worked so hard in my company were being misrepresented.
“Why do artists think they’re more important than staff members? They’re not. They’re the same.
“The irony was the record they were arguing about, which is ‘Woman Like Me’, they didn’t want to record. This was one of those ironic times that we were having a hit and nobody was happy.”
The song – which hit number two in the UK chart – was released in September as the first single from their upcoming new album ‘LM5’.
Simon has dismissed the idea he has walked away from his most successful act – made up of Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock – for any financial reasons.
He explained: “It wasn’t down to money. Basically, they said we’d done a terrible job. I had agreed not to talk about this publicly because I thought it was a private matter. I said, ‘We can’t work with the management, it’s as simple as that.’ ”
Meanwhile, he also confirmed he would talk to the band this week to clear the air in person, and still described them as “the hardest working bunch of girls” he’s ever worked with.
A Syco spokesperson previously said: “Syco Music will no longer work with Modest Management and therefore any artists signed to that management company.
“We do, of course, wish all artists affected by this decision every future success. Consequently, LM5, the forthcoming Little Mix album A&R’d and released on Syco Music, is to be serviced by RCA at the request of Syco and Simon Cowell.”

I’m A Celebrity 2018 line-up confirmed

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ 2018 line-up has been confirmed.
Football manager Harry Redknapp, former ‘EastEnders’ star Rita Simons, ex-‘X Factor’ wannabe Fleur East, and fellow singer James McVey are among the names who have signed up for the new series of the programme, which will kick off on Sunday (18.11.18), and the former Tottenham boss admits he is “pretty useless” at looking after himself.
He said: “I’m don’t have any idea really what I’m in for, no. Who’s going to wash my pants?
“I’m pretty useless at looking after myself.
“I don’t know about eating all these bugs and all these things, I’ve never tried it … I like a bit of calamari.
“It’s an adventure, I’m looking forward to it. You only get one life, you’ve got to give it the best crack while you can.”
‘Coronation Street’ actress Sair Khan, TV presenter Nick Knowles, ‘Hollyoaks’ actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer, ‘Inbetweeners’ actress Emily Atack, ‘The Chase’ queen Anne Hegerty and former ‘Torchwood’ actor John Barrowman complete the line-up.
And Anne – who is nicknamed The Governess on the game show – is confident she will ruffle a few feathers in the jungle.
She said: “I’m sure I will annoy people immensely. I think I’m capable of being deeply annoying.
“I’m kinda hoping this is going to be a bit of a learning curve.”
Rita – who played Roxy Mitchell in ‘EastEnders’ – added: “If someone really slags me off then I would definitely confront them.”
Nick said: “I think being put into an uncomfortable environment with people I wouldn’t necessarily, normally spend time with is an interesting test.”
James and Fleur are both hopeful the campmates will get on well during the show.
The Vamps singer said: “We’re not going to have a good time if we’re all arguing, so I hope we all get on.”
Fleur added: “In my head I’m imagining it’s going to be like one massive sleepover with a bunch of friends, really fun.”
The new ‘I’m A Celebrity’ series kicks off at 9pm on Sunday on ITV.

John Barrowman wants to be first gender fluid I’m A Celebrity winner

OHMYGOSSIP — John Barrowman wants to be the first gender fluid winner of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The former ‘Torchwood’ star is hoping to taste success on the show, and if he manages to win the series he would love be named the King or Queen of the Jungle when he is handed the title.
He said: “I would be over the moon if I won. I would be the King or Queen of the Jungle. I want both crowns.”
While John – who is married to husband Scott Gill – admits he wouldn’t have any issues chowing down on “bums, balls and willies” as part of a Bushtucker Trial, he would have “a problem” if he had to lie in a coffin on one of the challenges.
He added: “Eating bums, balls and willies I’m totally cool with.
“I will do my damndest in challenges so that we’re not, any of us, hangry.
“If they put me in a box like a coffin, I know I am going to have a problem.
“I will have to really figure that one out when it happens as I know filming ‘Torchwood’, there was a scene where we filmed in a coffin.
“They put me in a coffin in a drawer and I couldn’t do it. It was see through and so I could see space but I couldn’t do it. I had a panic.
“That might be the challenge that is most fearful for me. But realistically, you know they are not going to do anything that hurts you.”
John also believes some campmates may struggle to live with him, but he is expecting people to “gravitate” towards him.
He said: “I think some people may have a problem with me … I don’t really care what you think about me.
“I have never isolated myself before. If I see a commercial and it’s sad, I will cry but I am pretty strong and I tend to be a person who people gravitate to.”
John will take part in the show alongside football manager Harry Redknapp, former ‘EastEnders’ star Rita Simons, ex-‘X Factor’ wannabe Fleur East, The Vamps star James McVey, ‘Coronation Street’ actress Sair Khan, TV presenter Nick Knowles, ‘Hollyoaks’ actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer, ‘Inbetweeners’ actress Emily Atack, and ‘The Chase’ quiz queen Anne Hegerty.
The new ‘I’m A Celebrity’ series kicks off at 9pm on Sunday (18.11.18) on ITV.

Bodyguard talks underway for series 2

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Bodyguard’ talks are “active” regarding a second series.
The BBC drama looks set to return to the small screen after a very successful first season, and it’s said the broadcaster’s senior management are “very keen” to continue with Jed Mercurio’s show.
RadioTimes.com quote an insider as saying: “It is very much on the cards and a decision could even be made this side of Christmas.
“Either way the BBC definitely wants another one and we are in active talks with [production company World Productions] about a new series.”
‘Bodyguard’ was watched by more than 17 million over 28 days during its time on the BBC, making the programme the largest audience for a TV show that wasn’t a sporting or national event since 2010.
And actor Richard Madden – who played personal protection officer David Budd – recently confirmed he is set to start talks of his own regarding a second season.
He previously said: “I’m going to meet Jed in a couple of weeks, to have a chat and see what’s in his brilliant brain.
“So I’m like, what can happen next? You know, with David. Because he had a hell of a couple months there. Where do you go with this guy?”
But Richard admits he could see a ‘Bodyguard’ revival whereby all of the same actors return – including Keeley Hawes, who played Home Secretary Julia Montague in the drama – but play different parts, in a similar vein to US horror series ‘American Horror Story’.
He said: “I also thought, maybe it’s going to be like ‘American Horror Story’ where, in the second series, it’s a whole different incarnation of it, and I’m a royal and Keeley is on my protection team.
“And you get all the rest of the actors back, and we all do different things. But who knows what’s in Jed’s mind. I’m very keen to hear.

In the video – which featured Caitlyn and her close friend Sophia Hutchins – the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star said: “Hi! Caitlyn and Sophia here! Well, we’re safe. Don’t know if the house made it or not, it’s still up in the air.”

Caitlyn and Sophia’s evacuation comes after the star’s former step-daughters Kim Kardashian West, Khloe Kardashian, and Kourtney Kardashian were also forced out of their Calabasas homes.

Rachel Weisz’s baby surprise

OHMYGOSSIP — Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig didn’t find out the sex of their baby.
The couple welcomed a daughter into the world in September but had no idea if they were going to have a boy or a girl during the actress’ pregnancy.
Speaking to Red magazine in an interview that took place before she gave birth, Rachel – who already has 12-year-old son Henry with director Darren Aronofsky – said: “We’re having to buy all the gear again, although friends have lent us some great unisex baby-gros – we don’t know what the sex is.”
The 48-year-old actress admitted her second pregnancy felt different to her first.
Asked if it felt different, the ‘Disobedience’ star said: “Yeah, I suppose it does. You know, your first baby is just so unknown isn’t it? You just don’t know what it’s going to feel like being in labour or what it will be like. So, of course, it’s different, but special. In a different way.”
Rachel and Daniel – who has 25-year-old Ella from his first marriage to Fiona Loudon – are delighted to be parents again.
She said: “We’re just very excited. Very, very excited.”
And the ‘Disobedience’ star hailed her pregnancy a “miracle”.

The British actress previously joked her new baby would be “bilingual” because she and the James Bond star live in America.
She quipped: “I suppose it will have to be bilingual. So, there are other words that come to mind … Well, for a baby, we don’t say diaper, we say nappy.”

Alexandra Shipp won’t date Pisces guys

OHMYGOSSIP — Alexandra Shipp looks to the zodiac for help when it comes to dating.
The ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ actress believes in astrology and she would never romance a man who was born between March 14 and April 14, making them a Pisces, because she doesn’t think they’re compatible with her own sign, Cancer.
She said: “In terms of dating, I have everyone – except for Piscean men – the benefit of the doubt. Pisces women, however, are my favourite on the planet.”
The 27-year-old actress – who previously dated actors David Anders and James McAvoy – attributes a lot of her personality traits to her star sign.
Speaking to ELLE magazine, she said: “I’m a Cancer, so I’m such a sensitive, emotional person – just a wreckage of tears and laughter.
“And when I’m working, I live alone, away from everyone I love, and that can drive you crazy.”
The ‘Love, Simon’ actress has a “great support network” of female friends, including former co-stars Awkwafina, Lucy Hale, and Katherine Langford and she loves getting together with them because they all boost one another.
She said: “I have a great support network of women, where we come together, drink wine, and talk about how to make each other better. It’s a beautiful coven community.”
Alexandra’s most high-profile role came in 2015 when she got the part of Storm in ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ and she recalled how amazed she was to be appearing alongside the likes of Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender.
She recalled of a cast dinner to kick off filming: “Sophie Turner and I were just eating these oysters and truffle mac and cheese looking at each other like, ‘Who gave us these jobs?’ ”

However, Martin sent a message to his children via a Fox 11 news crew and said: “Emilio, Ramon, Renee, Charlie, we’re fine. We’re at Zuma Beach and we’re probably going to sleep in the car tonight. We’re just fine. We hope you are too and thank this good man for giving the opportunity to make contact with you guys.
“This is the worst fire I’ve seen. I’ve never seen one with this intensity, for this long, that took out so much property and caused such havoc.”

Michael Buble won’t be light-hearted after son’s cancer battle

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Buble doesn’t think he’ll ever be “light-hearted” again after his son’s cancer battle.
The 43-year-old singer and his wife Luisana – who have children Noah, five, Elias, two, and three-month-old Vida together – were left devastated when their oldest son was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2016 and Michael admits the ordeal has changed him forever.
Discussing his new album, ‘Love’, he told OK! magazine: “I took all of my fear, my gratitude and my pain and I just wrote.
“I never understood the level of pain.
“I wish that I didn’t have any of that. I wish that I was light-hearted again, because I never will be in my life.
“But that’s OK because that’s just what it is to be human.”
But the ‘Haven’t Met You Yet’ admits Noah’s diagnosis gave him “clarity” and an appreciation for what really mattered at a time when he was heading for a “downfall” in his career.
He explained: “I lost my love of all of it. I was having no fun, zero.
“My decisions, artistically, were based on fear – the fear of losing it.
“I cared about what people thought, what the internet was saying, and I lost my way.
“And if I hadn’t got the diagnosis [for Noah], I don’t think it would have ended well anyway. I was headed for a great downfall.
“As I was having this crisis, the diagnosis came and all of a sudden, this clarity.
“I was like, ‘What are you worried about asshole? You’re worried about what the internet said? Or what is number two on the chart?’ And it embarrassed me.”
Michael vowed in that moment never to seek out coverage of himself and his career again.
He added: “Sitting on my own in a hospital, I knew I’d never look on social media again, never look at a review, never read my name.
“And from that day, which was HAlloween, I never again read my name in print and I never will.”

Sarah Ferguson’s happy divorce

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew are “the happiest divorced couple in the world”.
The pair – who have daughters Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice together – ended their marriage in 1996 but continue to share a home at the Royal Lodge in Windsor and Sarah, 59, revealed they are happier than ever.
She told the Daily Mail newspaper: “We’re the happiest divorced couple in the world. We’re divorced to each other, not from each other. We both say it. We are completely compatible. Our bywords are communication, compromise and compassion.
“[Our wedding on] July 23, 1986 was the happiest day of my life. Andrew is the best man I know. What he does for Britain is incredible; no one knows how hard he works for his country.”
When asked if they would consider remarriage, she answered: “So many people have asked me that, but we’re so happy with the way we are right now. We enjoy each other’s company; we allow each other to blossom. I know it sounds like a fairy tale but that’s the way we are.”
On October 12, their daughter Princess Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank in Windsor and Sarah admitted she found the whole occasion extremely emotional.
She said: “I always went to weddings and thought: ‘Why is the mother-of-the-bride crying?’ But I completely understand why now. It’s because it’s so amazing to think your daughter is now grown up, leaving home and starting her own life.”
She also revealed she was missing her close friend and former sister-in-law, the late Princess Diana on the day.
She said: “I thought of absent friends and family; of Diana — but she’s with me all the time. What I miss most is her tinkling laughter.
“Diana was my best friend and the funniest person I knew. She had such timing and wit. It was a total joy to be with her because we just laughed and enjoyed life so much, and I know she would have loved the wedding.”

Rosamund Pike had powerful experience on A Private War

OHMYGOSSIP — Rosamund Pike says working with real refugees on her new movie ‘A Private War’ “changed the energy” of the project.
The 39-year-old actress plays the lead role in the upcoming drama – based on the life of celebrated war correspondent Marie Colvin – and worked with documentary maker Matthew Heineman, who was able to interview refugees who had been displaced from the conflict zones on which the film is based.
The ‘Gone Girl’ star revealed that it “changed the energy so much” because the film’s director was able to draw from the experiences of real people.
In an interview with Collider, she said: “It changed the energy so much because Matthew coming from a documentary background literally interviewed hundreds of people who were displaced people from the various regions of the conflict regions we were covering – we filmed everything in Jordan.”
Although she learnt a lot from the project, Rosamund endured “so many confusing emotions” during filming, and she recalled a scene where she was able to work with women and children from the besieged City of Homs.
She said: “I walked into it and Matt said, ‘OK, 90 per cent of these women are from Homs and this was their truth you can talk to this one maybe this one. And pointed out certain women that were prepared to tell their story and what I got was their truth and so the emotional impact of that was huge. It was a very blurred line between fiction and reality and it was exciting it was moving, I had so many confusing emotions during that that it was quite troubling and that happened, again and again, that’s just one example.”

“It’s not a done deal yet, but she’s a massive fan of the show, so would love to appear and went after a place in the line-up after seeing this year’s series.
“She’s telling everyone that the Pricey is back and being on this huge show just proves she’s back on top.
“Plus, the pay cheque from taking part would come in handy with her bankruptcy battle.”
Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Katie will star in a new two-part special of her reality series ‘My Crazy Life’ – after admitting she “really hit rock bottom”.
The 40-year-old star is determined to get her “life back on track”, and wants to tell her side of the story in two new episodes.

Benedict Cumberbatch’s ‘weird and wonderful’ Grinch

OHMYGOSSIP — Benedict Cumberbatch says recording ‘The Grinch’ was “weird and wonderful”.
The 42-year-old actor voices the Christmas hating titular character in the upcoming animated movie – based on the 1957 Dr. Seuss book ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas!’ – and admitted it was an unusual experience.
He told The Hollywood Reporter: “It was weird. It was wonderful. It was everything that being a voice artist is on a long-haul project like this. It was a lot of fun. Hard work but fun.”
11-year-old actress Cameron Seely voices the character of Cindy Lou Who and although she and Benedict’s character have most of their scenes together, he admitted they never actually met during recording.
Benedict said: “It’s an odd thing to not be in the room as her, but that’s not a novelty for anyone who’s ever done one of these [animated films] before. It’s bizarre to meet Cameron for the first time during promotion for the movie.”
This is the third adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ 1957 book and co-directors Yarrow Cheney and Scott Mosier were drawn to its theme of redemption.
Cheney said: “The story is about this character who is broken. His heart is broken, his life is a little bit broken. And we go on this journey where he is healed and he is able to connect with people again. And I think that’s the kind of story that is good for any time, especially nowadays — the transformative power of forgiveness and kindness.”
Meanwhile, although it is a festive film, Benedict is certain his own children – Christopher, three, and one-year-old Hal, who he has with wife Sophie Hunter – will watch the film repeatedly not matter what time of year it is.
Referring to his kids watching it over and over again, he recently said: “It only dawned on me yesterday when people said, ‘You do know it’s a Christmas movie’. [I thought] ‘Oh yeah, this will have a life beyond this Christmas.’ ”
