Jennifer Hudson wears brightly coloured outfits when she is 'extremely happy'

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Hudson only wears bright colours when she is “extremely happy.”
The 35-year-old singer songwriter has admitted she chooses her outfits based on her mood and “exudes” her energy through her bold ensembles, which she calls a “colour party”, and has revealed when she adorns eye-popping garments it makes her want to “go out and celebrate”.
Speaking about her style, the ‘Spotlight’ hitmaker said: “I dress based on how I feel, and when I put on a bright colour, it means I’m extremely happy. I call it a ‘colour party!’ It makes me want to go out and celebrate the day. I exude my energy through what I am wearing.”
And the powerhouse has revealed she loves a “sleek and classic” style because it is “classy and chic”.
She explained: “I like a look that is sleek and classic, like a little black dress, but when you throw a coat over it, you’re like, ‘Who is that?’ It creates this presence, and it’s so classy and chic. Next thing you know, you’re red carpet ready!”
Jennifer – who won a Grammy Award for Best R&B album in 2009 for her debut LP ‘Jennifer Hudson’ – has described her style as “traditional” because she regularly wears a brooch to accessorise her outfits and channel the “Old Hollywood vibe”.
Speaking about her style, she said: “I’m traditional, and brooches represent that Old Hollywood vibe that I love. My son actually got me into them when he picked one out for me in Niagara Falls. Now I wear them everywhere. I love going to boutiques and finding unique things people have never seen before. I like them to feel really personal.”
Meanwhile the star has revealed she is able to “explore” and experiment with clothes more since she lost weight.
She told PEOPLE: “I’ve made a huge transition [with my weight]. Now I’m able to explore more. I’ve found that some shapes work for every size, like a high-waisted pencil skirt … You can dress it up or down, which is how I vibe, because I have so many things to do in a day.”

Georgia May Jagger's mother's style is 'more Hollywood glamour' than hers

OHMYGOSSIP — Georgia May Jagger believes her mother’s style is “more Hollywood glamour” than hers.
The 24-year-old model – who is the daughter of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger and his former spouse Jerry Hall – has hinted her parent has a better sense of style than she does, because her own fashion sense is “more casual” and “more London”.
The blonde beauty – who has starred in fashion campaigns for luxury designer brands including Miu Miu, Chanel and Versace – told Prestige Hong Kong: “I love my mum’s style of dressing but I’m a bit more casual, I’m more London. My mum is more Hollywood glamour.”
However, the catwalk icon has revealed she thinks the fashion industry is going downhill, and isn’t as “exciting” as it used to be.
Speaking about the fashion industry, which she has been a part of since she signed to Independent Models in 2008, Georgia said: “London Fashion Week used to be really exciting and then it kind of got put on the back burner as one of the less desirable fashion weeks and I think a lot of people stopped showing here.
“I don’t actually watch that many shows … But I liked that the models [for Gucci] didn’t walk super fast, because I think that it makes it ethereal, but it’s also super nice because you get to see the clothes. And for me, it was always stressful having to walk really fast.
“I actually already know in my head what I want to get.”
Meanwhile Georgia has revealed she was “really shocked” Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele approached her to design her Met Gala dress, which she has been allowed to keep.
Speaking about her ensemble for the star studded bash, she said: “I was really shocked because I thought that he could dress anyone he wants, so I was shocked that he wanted to dress me, but I think that he was quite into the fact that I was a bit younger and not so famous. He doesn’t really care about dressing a celebrity, he just wants to dress people that he likes and he’s just so into the beauty of life and it’s just like unbelievable to work with him and see his whole process.
“It’s my Met Ball dress [most treasured garment]. I got to keep it. He lets me keep everything I wear; he’s so kind and generous. I can never stop singing his praises because he really has such a beautiful outlook on life.”

Thea and Justin Bregazzi design garments to 'look good' on Instagram

OHMYGOSSIP — Thea and Justin Bregazzi design garments to “look good” on Instagram.
The creative couple – who founded their designer label Preen in 1996 – have admitted they photograph their garments to see how they look on a mobile phone and create new pieces for their clients to ensure they photograph well and are aesthetically pleasing as a “static image”.
Speaking to The Guardian newspaper about their masterpieces, Justin said: “We photograph the clothes all the time so we can see how they look on the phone. All of our biggest clients are on Instagram so we design things that will photograph well and look good as a static image.”
And social media has led the pair to refine their designs.
Thea added: “We used to be all about black and grey, but that doesn’t sell online.
“If you do black now, you have to add a graphic element to grab attention.”
Thea has also revealed the lifestyle of her muse has had an impact on what she designs.
She explained: “When we design, we think about the way people are working and living, what’s going on. I’m very interested in why certain people want to wear certain styles at certain times. It’s all wound up with culture, politics, everything’s in the mix.”
Meanwhile, the fashion designers have admitted they have “never” felt Preen has been the most popular fashion brand and are surprised their garments have been adorned by a large number of celebrity clientele.
Justin said: “We’ve never been the next big thing.”
Thea added: “But when Gwyneth Paltrow wore it to the ‘Ironman’ premiere in 2008, sales went through the roof.”
However, Thea doesn’t think Preen would have been successful if her and her spouse had of broke into the fashion industry immediately after completing college like most designers who are currently at the helm of the fashion industry.
Thea said: “We would not have survived if we’d come out of college and had to be slick from the start. Nobody at London Fashion Week really knew what they were doing back then.
“Other people in the industry would point out what you were doing wrong and help out.”

Alicia Keys used make-up as a 'shield' to hide behind

OHMYGOSSIP — Alicia Keys used to use make-up as a “shield” to hide behind.
The 35-year-old powerhouse has admitted she used to don a full face of cosmetic products because she believed it made her look “glamorous” and thought it would make her a successful artist, but has since changed her ways and thinks it was “complete nonsense”.
Speaking to the Red Bulletin about her thoughts on beauty, the ‘Empire State of Mind’ hitmaker said: “Society tells us how we should look, what we should eat. The industry forces us to live up to some ideal, just because it wants to sell a product.
“I realised that my whole life I’d been using make-up as a shield to hide my true self, thinking it would make me glamorous. I thought I had to be made up to be successful in show business, but that’s complete nonsense.”
And the star now feels “more confident” when she ditches mascara, foundation and lipstick in favour of going au naturel.
She explained: “Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against women wearing make-up – it’s a personal decision.
“But I feel more comfortable without make-up. And I’m happy to say I’ve received a lot of positive feedback from young women for making my decision. I believe that you have to feel good about yourself if you want to be successful in life.
“Accept yourself the way you are. And don’t let anyone talk you into hiding your true self. Don’t hide your face behind a wall of make-up, and don’t hide your views against prevailing attitudes.
“Try to see things from another perspective. Break out of your current thinking patterns. Get informed. You’ll soon see that you’ve become more self-confident in the way you think, and that it’s easier to express your own opinion with greater conviction.”

Hailey Baldwin believes she is 'blessed' with flawless skin

OHMYGOSSIP — Hailey Baldwin believes she has been “blessed” with flawless skin.
The 19-year-old model – who is the daughter of Stephen and Kennya Baldwin – believes she is lucky to have a clear complexion, which she puts down to having good genes, although she also believes her diet has an impact on her skin too.
Speaking about her beauty hacks, the catwalk icon – who has fronted campaigns for Tommy Hilfiger, Sonia Rykiel and Moschino – said: “Honestly, I’m not going to lie to anybody who reads this. I genuinely do think that skin does have a lot to do with genetics. I was blessed.
“I also think diet is a big thing. What you put in makes a difference, drinking lots of water and just using simple things on your face, not over doing it, regularly seeing a good dermatologist.
Although the blonde beauty boasts an enviably perfect visage, she has hinted she is envious of her mother and her grandmother’s skin.
She said: “You should see my mum and grandma – it’s unfair!”
And Hailey has revealed she relies on protein bars and “snacks” to get her through Fashion Week and catwalk shows because she doesn’t have the time to sit down and enjoy a “proper” meal.
Speaking about the essential items she relies on during Fashion Week, she said: “Sleep, water, lip balm and snacks like protein bars. You’re always on the go so it’s hard to sit down and have a proper meal.”
Meanwhile Hailey has revealed she admires Rihanna and Margot Robbie’s style.
She told Vogue.com: “I’m very big on doing oversized and I think you have to do it right and Rihanna does that all the time.
“I love oversized sweaters. I never really know what is about to trend but oversized sweaters are such a big thing for me. I ‘m always cold so I can’t wait to wear more warm things because sometimes I’m very seasonally inappropriate, but it’s only because I’m always cold. A big coat and leathers – I can’t wait.
“I really like Margot Robbie. I think when you’re classically beautiful like she is you have to do that type of style. I don’t think she is ever trashy about it.”

Charlotte Tilbury 'always' wears make-up to bed

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlotte Tilbury has “always” worn make-up to bed.
The British make-up artist has admitted she commits the cardinal sin in beauty and re-applies a face full of cosmetic products before she goes to sleep, which she calls her “bedroom eye”, because it makes her feel “sexy”.
Speaking to New York Magazine about her beauty hacks, the flame-haired beauty said: “It’s true. I always have a bedroom eye. I clean my skin, put my Magic Night Rescue Cream on, my Magic Eye Rescue, and then Wonderglow – it softens everything. But I take off all my eye makeup, and then I reapply it. I put on my eyeliner in Audrey, and then I put a little bit of mascara on my top lashes, and then that’s it. I always say it’s my bedroom eye because it just makes me feel sexy.
“Always. Always. Always. Forever.
“At 13, I understood the power of make-up and the way it changed my life. I understood how you could feel so empowered, confident, and amazing when you looked in the mirror and felt great about loving the way you look. Beyoncé 'always' wants to wear high heels

OHMYGOSSIP — Beyoncé “always” wants to wear high heels, according to British stylist Karen Langley.
The 36-year-old stylist has admitted the 35-year-old singer – who she began working with five years ago when Karen styled her for Dazed & Confused magazine cover shoot five years ago – relies on her to break her “comfort zone” and constantly quizzes Karen on whether she can pair every ensemble with a pair of platform shoes.
Speaking to The Times newspaper about the mother of one – who has four-year-old daughter Blue Ivy with her husband Jay Z – said: “She comes to me when she wants to go beyond her comfort zone.
“Beyoncé is always up for wearing a designer she’s never heard of. I constantly have my eye out. When i first styled her for Dazed, I put her in a Givenchy top, a vintage Pucci swimsuit and latex suspenders. She loves it – it’s one of her favourite covers.
“Beyoncé was always saying, ‘Yeah, but could you wear this with heels?’ Because for her working out is always done in heels, dancing. She’s the best person to work with.
“When there’s a dance routine, I go to rehearsals to see how she moves. In that way, it’s like working with an amazing model or an incredible photographer – I know that she’ll move and perform in it to the best possible standard. But she had to be able to do her job and dance in [the clothes]. ”
And Karen – who is the creative director of the active wear line Ivy Park, which Beyoncé launched in March this year – has admitted the inspiration for the sportswear capsule came from both the powerhouse and Karen wanting a brand that “spoke” to them.
Karen explained: “I was in the same situation that B was in. There weren’t any sportswear brands that spoke to us – most do that ‘shrink it, pink it’ thing – and we didn’t want to spend that much money for the ones that don’t. I used to slum it at the gym, but with Ivy Park you see women eyeing up your outfit.”

The 46-year-old American actress has admitted her fame has made her fearful of being caught looking worse for wear, and has led her to apply a face full of cosmetic products when she is shopping in fear of being spotted by fans who want to grab a quick picture with the ‘Empire’ star.
Speaking to PEOPLE about her beauty secrets, the brunette beauty – who recently collaborated with the beauty brand M.A.C Cosmetics on a new make-up range – she said: “Because of this thing called fame, I can’t get caught looking crazy. So even if I’m running to the store, I’m going to make myself look pretty. At the very least, I apply mascara and a lip balm, gloss or nude lipstick from my M.A.C line. You never know [who will ask], ‘Can I get a picture?'”
And the star has admitted she “loves” to experiment with different beauty products and trends, although she never wants to look too overdone.
She said: “I just love to play with make-up – but I don’t ever want [my look] to be too much. You’ve got to balance things out. I have really big, expressive eyes, so if I do a bold eye, then I go softer on the lips.”

She explained: “I feel like relaxing my hair for 26 years really damaged it. But it’s natural now–and I love it. For ‘Empire’ I use wigs. I keep my hair braided in lots of teeny cornrows, so the wigs fit on my head. When I take them out, I’ll sit under a steamer while I deep-condition my hair.”
