Hilary Duff dyed her hair blue because she had holiday blues

OHMYGOSSIP — Hilary Duff dyed her hair blue because she had holiday blues.
The 29-year-old actress has experimented with a variety of hair shades and has admitted she once coloured her hair to match the “colour of the ocean” following a holiday to Cabo, Mexico, with her four-year-old son Luca – who she had with her ex-husband Mike Comrie – because she never wanted to leave the resort.
Speaking to Elle.com about the hairstyle, the blonde beauty said: “So I was in Cabo with my friend and Luca and I remember not wanting to leave so bad. I was like ‘I want my hair to be like the colour of the ocean!’. That’s seriously where it came from.”
However, on reflection the mother of one has realised the do was “too extreme”.
She explained: “Then, I had to like call my publicist and be like ‘So my hair is blue or green or whatever you want to call it now.’ I like it, but it was just too extreme.”
And the ‘Younger’ actress has admitted a homeless man quizzed her on her hair style when she opted to dye her hair grey.
She said: “Some homeless man stopped me on the street in L.A. and he was like ‘At first I thought you were a grandma!’ and he kept going on like ‘Why is your hair that colour? Did you lose some sort of a bet or something?’ I was like, nope!”
But out of all the beauty experiments Hilary’s pink bob was her “favourite”.
She said: “After the second season of ‘Younger’ … I chopped all my hair off – or Cynthia [Vanis, Hilary’s hair stylist] chopped all my hair off – and then I dyed it pink. Pink was my favourite, I think. We finished another season and I was like I’m going to do it! Why not? I want to do it all when I’m in my twenties because I don’t think you can do it in your thirties. But then, I think you can do it again in like your sixties. Hopefully I am still like slightly stylish then and I can rock it.”
Meanwhile, the ‘All About You’ singer has revealed she has been advised to stop changing her tresses in fear her hair may “fall off”.
She explained: “I dyed my hair brown and it lasted only three weeks. My hair girls were like, ‘We’re never changing your hair again, no way, you’re hair is going to fall off!’ This was a little hiccup with brown hair, then I’ve been blonde ever since.”

David Beckham prefers to wear 'jeans, T-shirts, trainers' instead of suits

OHMYGOSSIP — David Beckham prefers to wear “jeans, T-shirts, trainers” instead of suits.
The 41-year-old former England football captain has admitted he is a “very casual dresser” and would rather wear his everyday attire, which consists of a pair of jeans, a basic top and a pair of “vintage boots”, although he does “love” to wear a “smart suit” for an evening out with his wife Victoria.
Speaking to PEOPLE about his style preferences, the British hunk said: “[I am a] very casual” dresser.
“I love to wear smart suits, and I like to feel smart when I go out for dinner but I also much prefer to wear jeans, T-shirts, trainers, boots, vintage boots and that’s kind of how I dress every single day.”
And David has revealed his fashion muse is the late ‘The Great Escape’ actor Steve McQueen because of his “effortless” style.
He explained: “I’ve always been a huge fan of Steve McQueen, and people like that, and James Dean. People like that I always look at their style and it’s just effortless. Most of the time it’s just a plain white T-shirt and a pair of jeans, but they make it look good.”
Meanwhile, the sportsman – who stars in the high street store H&M’s latest Modern Essentials collection campaign alongside actor Kevin Hart – has revealed he wants people to realise he “actually wears” the clothes he models.
He said: “I don’t want to just be in the campaign and people think ‘I’m wearing the same jumper as him, but I don’t see him in it.’ I actually wear the clothes, and this is me every single day — jeans and a t-shirt or a shirt. I think that’s what people kind of respect and appreciate the fact that they are getting a piece of my style, and they like it apparently.”

Dougie Poynter is a 'fashion guru'

OHMYGOSSIP — Dougie Poynter is a “fashion guru”, according to Harry Judd.
The 28-year-old singer songwriter – who makes up one quarter of the British pop rock band McFly alongside Harry, Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones – “influences” the rest of the groups wardrobe choices and has been tipped as the bands personal style adviser because he is always wearing a completely new outfit.
Speaking about the best dressed band member to the Metro newspaper, Harry said: “Dougie keeps me on his toes. He has a new outfit for every day! It’s good because he influences us all. Dougie’s the fashion guru.”
And Harry – who has eight-month-old daughter Lola with his wife Izzy – has revealed he has the worst style among all the men in the band because he is a father.
He explained: “Me and Tom are the least [fashionable], but we are the dads.”
However, the father-of-one has admitted his personal fashion sense has drastically evolved since he first joined McFly in 2003, because he has become a little less “daring” with his style.
The ‘5 Colours In Her Hair’ hitmaker said: “When I first joined the band, I was influenced by the American punk pop and rock scene. It was all about big belt buckles and studded belts, three-quarter-length shorts, pulled-up socks, loads of bracelets, and piercings, and hair dye. It was pretty extreme. That lasted quite a while – when you are in a band, you have more of a licence to be daring. It’s got a little safer as I get older.
“Now I dressed quite chilled. I always like a good black pair of jeans. I have an awesome pair of tan leather boots I end up wearing every time, a nice white fitted T-shirt and a watch. At home it’s all about comfort – I’m always in sports shorts.”

Tom Ford wears the same suit 'over and over' again

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Ford has worn the same suit “over and over” again.
The 55-year-old American fashion designer – who was made creative director of Gucci for 10 years before starting his own eponymous fashion line in 2006 – has admitted he wears a “uniform” at all times, which sees him sport a sleek tailored suit, which looks the same as his other tuxedos every day.
Speaking to the Telegraph.co.uk about his wardrobe, the mogul said: “I wear this same suit over and over and over. I have probably quite a lot of them but they’re pretty much all the same. I have a uniform; it’s easy: I get up in the morning and I put on that uniform.”
And Tom – who launched his film company in 2005 and made his directorial debut with ‘Single Man’ – has revealed he will happily wear a suit on set, much to the surprise of the film crew.
He explained: “Somebody said to me, ‘Are you going to wear a suit on the film set?’ And I said, ‘Yeah, this is who I am and this is the way I dress. Why would I change my clothes? I’m most comfortable like this.’
“I’m not saying this egotistically but even on ‘A Single Man’ I felt very, very comfortable in the role as a director. But in fashion you get to do something new in two months, then it’s gone, it’s over and you move on. But film is something that lasts forever and I think because of that you give it a certain gravitas.”
Meanwhile, the Texas-born star has admitted he has sampled “good fortune” but tries not to be materialistic.
Tom – who has adopted a son Alexander with his husband Richard Buckley – said: “I have had the good fortune in life to experience that sort of materialism that our culture tells us is going to make us happy. I’m not saying that it’s not something that I enjoy; we live in a material world; we touch things that feel good and we get to see beautiful things.
“But you have to keep it in perspective and the most important things in life, certainly for me, are loyalty. I’ve been with the same person for 30 years and I’ve worked with the same people for many years.”

Victoria Beckham inspired Hayley Hassellhoff to start a plus-size clothing range

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham has inspired Hayley Hassellhoff to start a plus-size clothing range. The 24-year-old model – who is the daughter of ‘Baywatch’ actor David Hassellhoff and his former partner Pamela Bach – has admitted the 42-year-old fashion designer, who launched her couture line “from ground zero” motivated Hayley to do the same.

Hayley – who has recently revealed her debut collection for the plus-size label Elvi – told the Telegraph.co.uk: “I aspire to be her [Victoria Beckham], because she started from ground zero and built her way up to a couture line. That’s what I want to do, and it’s why I’m working with Elvi. I love clean lines and want everything to be chic and simple. That often doesn’t come through in plus-size.”

And the ‘More than Puppy Love’ actress has revealed her whole family are very proud of her and her father has congratulated her on her success of breaking into the fashion industry.
She explained: “Dad called me yesterday and said, ‘You did it!’ He knows I’ve wanted to design my own line since I was a little girl.”

Meanwhile Hayley – who signed to a plus-size modelling agency in 2007 – has revealed her body began to develop at a young age, which made her feel very conscious and “uncomfortable” about her womanly frame.

She said: “I was always aware I never looked the same as other girls. I had boobs before anyone else and wore a bra from the age of nine. I found it all very uncomfortable.
“[But now,] I totally see myself as normal-sized.”

And Hayley is pleased to see the plus-sized modelling industry has evolved.

She said: “The number of bigger girls on the catwalk is ever-growing. When I was 14 and starting out, there was nothing, but now there’s so much plus-size on the high street – even in high fashion.”

Kylie Jenner gets 'anxiety' when she gets eyelash extensions

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Jenner gets “anxiety” when she gets her eyelash extensions filled.

Speaking about the beauty treatment she fears the most, she told PEOPLE: “I get my lash extensions filled every two weeks. I actually dread it – keeping your eyes closed and being awake for that long gives me anxiety.”
Although the television personality works herself up into a frenzy prior to her pampering session, she will continue with the procedure because she “loves” the way she looks.
She explained: “But I love the way it looks, so it’s so worth it. Now I do the same length as my own lashes, just to fill them out. It looks way more natural.”
And the beauty mogul – who launched her beauty empire Kylie Cosmetics earlier this year and has a nail collection with Sinful Colours – has revealed she gets a manicure and a new set of “pretty nails” every week, which is a habit her 60-year-old momager, Kris Jenner, “drilled” into her at a young age.
She said: “My mom always drilled it in my head to have nice, pretty nails. I never cared when I was younger, but now I get my nails done every week. I’ve sat literally for four to five hours doing them. I used to spend so much time doing the craziest artwork.”
However, Kylie – who is currently dating ‘Rack City’ hitmaker Tyga – has revealed she treats herself to a spray tan, but will only get it done in the evening or the early hours of the morning.
She explained: “I get spray tans pretty late [at night]. Sometimes I’ll decide last minute. My spray tan guy, Jimmy Coco, is always busy, so he tells me he can come at 12:45 a.m. And I’m like, ‘I’m down!'”

The wheels (and doors) never stop spinning…
X, SJ (sic).”
And Sarah – who has recently launched her third fragrance Stash – insists she isn’t a big shopper despite having a huge collection of outfits and shoes, and is a “thoughtful” shopper because she tries to consider if she really needs a piece before buying it.
Speaking previously, she said: “I’m actually not a huge shopper. I mean I have more shoes now because I have a shoe collection, but even that I’m very thoughtful about. What do I really need? What can I borrow? What can I not live without? I’ve never, ever, ever, taken anything.”
“In the case of ‘Sex In The City’, if we owned it then I owned it and it’s in an archive, but if it was borrowed from a designer, or belonged to someone else, it always went back. Even when I borrow something for an important event, I always give everything back because I feel as if it’s an honour system.”

The 37-year-old former Liberty X singer has opened up about her fitness regime and has revealed she loves nothing more than hitting the gym and undergoing gruelling exercises, which leave her in absolute agony the next day.
Speaking to Now magazine about her fitness regime, the brunette beauty said: “I like feeling a little bit sore the next day. And when I don’t exercise I don’t eat well.”
The mother-of-two – who has four-year-old daughter Faith, and two-year-old son Aaron with her husband Hugh Hanley – has revealed she includes weight training in her fitness plan four times a week, which is followed by a high-intensity cardio session, as well as long distance run once a week.
She explained: “I do weights four times a week. I think lots of women are scared of lifting heavy weights, but it really doesn’t bulk you up. You need to lift them to tone and give you a sculptured look.
“[My workout is] about an hour [long], plus high-intensity cardio sessions for 20 – 30 minutes. I’ll have a long run once a week, too.”
And Michelle has admitted she is already noticing the significant change in her body shape.
She explained: ” [My favourite body part is] my arms. I can see the results of my hard work and eating well.”

Margot Robbie wore a 'cheap, grimy, in-your-face' perfume when filming Suicide Squad

OHMYGOSSIP — Margot Robbie wore a “cheap, grimy, in-your-face smell” to get her into character for ‘Suicide Squad’.
The 26-year-old actress – who was cast as Harley Quinn in ‘Suicide Squad’ – has revealed she selects a different perfume to suit each role she plays, and chose a “sickly sweet” scent for her role in the DC Comic antihero film adaptation.
Speaking about her beauty routine prior to shooting a new movie, Margot – who has recently been announced as the face of Calvin Klein’s Deep Euphoria fragrance – said: “Every time I do a role I pick a fragrance for the character, and when we did the Deep Euphoria campaign it coincided with a new film I’m doing, ‘Terminal’. My character is strong and quirky and dangerous and cool, and when I put the fragrance on I was like: ‘Ooh that works for Annie.’
“For Harley Quinn in ‘Suicide Squad’ I wanted something sickly sweet, so I went to a strip mall and bought a cheap, grimy, in-your-face smell. It’s a really strong sensory trigger. Once I get in my costume and hair and make-up I spray the scent and then I’m ready.”
Meanwhile, the blonde beauty has admitted if she could turn back the clock she would drastically change her beauty routine and strip her face of all the cosmetic products she used to layer on as a teenager in favour of going au naturel.
When asked what advice she would give her 16 year old self, the blonde beauty said: “Wear less make-up, for sure. I remember hitting that age and thinking I needed to wear tonnes of make-up because I was old enough to wear it. I think it’s a confidence thing, you have your mask on all the time. As I’ve got older I’ve got more confident to wear less. Now I’ll happily just go for dinner wearing tinted moisturiser.”
And the Australian-born beauty has revealed her friend gave her the rude awakening and made her change her over-the-top beauty ways.
She explained to Vogue.co.uk: “It was an older friend of mine – Kelli Garner, she played my sister in Pan Am – who said one day when I was about 20: ‘You wear too much make-up.’ She said: ‘All the colours you’re putting on your face are already there. You have purple veins on your eyelids, that’s your eyeshadow. Your cheeks go really red when you’re warm or giggling, that’s your blush. You have red lips…’ I was so taken aback by that but I really took it on board and it’s true.”

Lily Cole's created her Impossible app to build 'more trust between strangers'

OHMYGOSSIP — Lily Cole’s skills sharing website was created to build “more trust between strangers”.
The 28-year-old model, actress and entrepreneur, who founded her website Impossible.com three years ago re-launched the site with an app this year, has admitted she thought up the idea in a bid to “debunk the myth” all people are “dangerous and scary”.
The flame-haired beauty – who has previously starred in fashion campaigns for Alexander McQueen, Chanel and Moschino – told The Daily Telegraph newspaper: “The very point of the app in a way is to try and create more trust between strangers, because I feel that there’s a lot more myth than reality around people being dangerous and scary. We’re trying to debunk that myth.”
However the ‘St. Trinian’s’ star has revealed she never intended to make money from her business and wanted the app, which allows people to exchange skills without money.
She explained: “If you think about it in a logical, rational way, we didn’t really lose any of the skills or resources that we need to survive as a society [during the recession] – we just lost the money or means to them, so I thought, could we fund alternative ways of trading them, and could the internet and technology facilitate that?
“When I began I never set out to make money from Impossible. The goal was for it to cover its own costs but I was aware that would probably take time.”
Although the star has slammed allegations she is in competition with rival brands and has revealed she hopes the idea of helping people for free will spread and be a success.
Lily – who launched the site with Wikipedia’s founder Jimmy Wales – said: “I do believe things like Impossible will grow and take off. I just don’t know if it will be ours or someone else’s. ”

Ashley Graham's 'cellulite' has changed people's lives

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Graham believes her “cellulite” has changed people’s lives.
The 28-year-old model – who is best known for starring in fashion campaigns for the plus-size clothing label Lane Bryant – has admitted the dimples in her body have made a positive effect on “someone’s life”.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan magazine about her career, she said: “I love what I do and I love where I am going. I love how the world is changing right before my eyes. I like to say my cellulite is changing someone’s life out there.”
And the brunette beauty believes the fashion industry is embracing “curvy women” as creative directors for designer labels and fashion houses are beginning to create collections to suit different curvaceous body shapes, and she is now able to name more plus-sized models who inspire her.
She explained: “I think for so long, fashion hasn’t coincided with curvy women of the world, but now they [designers] are. And I think in the last two years you’ve been able to see it more than ever. You’ve seen curvy women on the covers of magazines, and commercials, and movies. And I was never able to say the names of five curvy women I could look up to, and now I can.
“Marquita Pring, Precious Lee, Eva Kay, Georgia Pratt, Sabina [Karlsson], Tara Lynn. Any girl that was in my lingerie runway show, they have to know about. I put my friends in, but I also put some new girls in there as well.”
Meanwhile Ashley believes she will maintain a long stable career at the helm of the fashion industry as long as she “budgets constantly”.
She said: “It’s so important to be on a budget constantly. It doesn’t mean you’re broke, it doesn’t mean you have things that you want, you just budget differently.”

Gwen Stefani's father influenced her Harajuku style

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwen Stefani’s father Dennis Stefani influenced her Harajuku style.
The 46-year-old singer songwriter – who has adorned Japanese style ensembles throughout her longstanding music career and has referred to the culture in her 2007 hit ‘Harajuku Girls’ – has revealed her parent ignited her fascination with the Asian style after he would surprise her with “treasures” and stories he would bring back from his expeditions around the globe.
Speaking to WWD about how her style has evolved, she said: “He would travel to Japan and come back with treasures. We would hear these stories.”
“In the Harajuku district [of Tokyo], which was, of course, happening for years and years before I discovered it, it was the self-expression and the need to be different and unique and stick out and be outrageous. It was always something I loved to do as well. When it came time to shopping for clothes, I said, ‘Mom, I don’t want to go the mall for clothes. Give me $100. I will go to the thrift store and get so many things.'”
And Gwen – who launched her own clothing label L.A.M.B in 2003 – has revealed her “personal obsession” with the nation and their fashion has led her to question her nationality.
The No Doubt band member quipped: “Having that connection as a little girl and my personal obsession with fashion and tradition and culture and all things modern, I got there and I was like, ‘What was happening? I should be Japanese. This is my place. I love this place.'”
Meanwhile Gwen – who has Kingston, 10, and Apollo, two, with her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale – has revealed the past year has been a whirlwind for her.
She explained: “Everything was so unexpected last year – everything from my life changing, my personal life changing and being able to write a record … Rocky at the top of the steps.”
