Audrina Partridge's swimwear line is inspired by sharks

OHMYGOSSIP — Audrina Partridge’s new swimwear line was inspired by sharks.
The 31-year-old American television personality and fashion designer has recently launched her label Prey Swim, and has revealed her love for fashion, the ocean and her fascination with the sea predator influenced her latest venture.
Speaking to E! News about the collection, the ‘The Hills’ alumni said: “It just makes sense. I love fashion and I love the ocean, I am always on a beach somewhere. When I was on ‘The Hill’s I was known as the bikini queen. So, a few years ago when I was on the NBC show I kind of started and I was like, ‘You know what I’m going to do my own swim line’. I am so captivated with sharks so I really wanted to include the awareness of saving sharks with our line, so within our hardware it has a lot of shark teeth.
“I have always had a love for fashion, the ocean and bikinis – having grown up in Southern California and always traveling.”
And the television personality – who has five-month-old daughter Kirra max with her husband Corey Bohan – has revealed the idea of designing her own fashion range came to her “three years ago”.
She said: “So, about three years ago, I decided why not create my own swim brand, and incorporate everything I love and have seen throughout my travels into the line!
“I didn’t just put my name on someone else’s line, I put my heart and soul into this line.”
The brunette beauty has revealed one week in and customers are still “going crazy” for her designs, and she has received “great feedback” on her versatile designs, which can be reversed and have various modifications to make the swimsuit more personal.
She said: “It’s going crazy. We have had lots of great feedback. Everyone is loving the suits. I think there’s something for everyone, some are a little fashion forward. But we still wanted it to be reversible. So when people buy one suit, they’re really buying one suit but literally have two. You can reverse one, you can change the straps, you can really make it your own.”

Kendall Jenner is 'so excited' for Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

OHMYGOSSIP — Kendall Jenner is “so excited” to model in this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
The 21-year-old model is set to grace the runway for the lingerie giant for the second time on Wednesday (30.11.16) in Paris, France, and the ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star is happy she got the call to represent the brand and walk in their highly-anticipated catwalk show.
Speaking about the raven-haired beauty, a source told E! News: “Kendall is so excited to be in the VS show this year.”
The television personality jetted off to the French capital on Monday (28.11.16) with fellow angels including Gigi Hadid, Alessandra Ambrosio and Stella Maxwell , and reportedly underwent a quick work out prior to the show, which was then followed by a spot of sightseeing around the city of love with her pals.
Alongside a picture of her, Bella Hadid, Lily Donaldson and Joan Smalls at the airport waving French flags, she wrote: “we’re off! (sic).”
However, the Europe destination doesn’t bring excitement to Kendall’s half-sister Kim Kardashian West, who was robbed at gunpoint during Paris Fashion Week earlier this year.
And it has been reported some of Kendall’s family will come to watch her in the show, but the 36-year-old television personality won’t be one of them.
Meanwhile, Kendall has returned to Instagram after one week of social media “detox”.
The catwalk icon made her return to the photo sharing site by posting three images of herself and her friends, and has since shared a strong of photos with her and fellow Victoria’s Secret models prior to the big show this week.
Addressing her Instagram detox, she shared: “I just wanted to detox. I just wanted a little bit of a break. I’m always on it. I would wake up in the morning and look at it first thing. I would go to bed and it was the last thing I would look at. I felt a little too dependent on it …
“It’s so crazy to me that it even became huge news like that … I also took my Twitter off my phone.”

Elle Macpherson won’t let anyone else wash her pants

OHMYGOSSIP — Elle Macpherson washes her underwear with shampoo. The 52-year-old model-turned-lingerie designer would “die of embarrassment” if she put her bras and briefs into hotel laundry, so if she’s away from home, she cleans them with her toiletries in her bathroom.

She said: “Put my underwear in the hotel laundry? I’d die of embarrassment. I don’t want to spend the money either. I rinse it out every day in the shower with some gentle body wash or shampoo. At home I put it all in a lingerie bag on a gentle programme.”

Elle’s latest collection, Elle Macpherson Body, is more understated than some of her previous efforts and she thinks it proves there are “subtle” ways to be sexy.
She told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: “I wanted to do bras that work under T-shirts, that feel appropriate with a school uniform.

“Personally, I feel I have to try less hard in many ways now to be seductive and I want to reflect the more understated perspective in the collection.”
But the Australian beauty still wants to look good for her husband, Jeff Soffer.

She said: “I still want my husband to think I look hot. I still worry about fat squidging out over the back of my bra, and side-boob…”
Every piece in the collection is initially fitted on Elle and then sized up or down and she is proud to use “traditional” techniques when it comes to manufacturing her products.

She said: “I come from old-school corsetry. I know how to make what’s called a cut-and-sew bra, and although there’s a lot of new technology that makes lingerie much easier to produce, nothing beats knowing the traditional techniques.”

Shay Mitchell collaborates with Smashbox

OHMYGOSSIP — Shay Mitchell has produced an eye shadow collection for Smashbox Costmetics.
The ‘Pretty Little Liars’ actress six Cover Shot: Eye Palettes will be available on Cyber Monday (28.11.16) on Sephora.com, but then will be withdrawn from sale until December 15.
The 29-year-old beauty is “super stoked” with the range because she has always loved Smashbox’s products.
She said: “I’ve always loved make-up. For me, when I get to play around with it, especially eye shadows, I play a different character.
“I’ve always been a fan [of Smashbox], so it was really a perfect fit.
“I think a primer was the first thing that I ever bought from them. They have great lip glosses and lipsticks, but I am super stoked about these palettes because they’re different than anything I’ve seen before.”
The palettes each feature six eye shadows and two base shades, and Shay loves the different looks each one can create.
She said of Smoky: “I probably use this and the matte palette the most. But this one is my favourite because I tend to do smoky eyes a lot.
“With the Matte palette, you can create a natural look or go really smoky, which I love because with matte eye shadows you can get away with a little bit more because there’s no shimmer.”
The ‘Mother’s Day’ actress recommends Metallic or Bold for those who want to be adventurous.
She told People Style: “This [Metallic] palette is so fun. One of my make-up artists uses eye shadows to actually highlight like cheekbones, and I think you can do with the shades in this palette.
“[Bold] is great for festivals or parties. It’s truly is a rainbow palette and so bright. It’s something you really want to have fun with and use to make a statement with your eyes.”
Of the three other palettes, Shay thinks the “warm tones” of Ablaze can be good for a simple every day look, or made more “bold” for a stunning evening look, while she thinks Softlight is a perfect simple and natural collection.
And she thinks the matte and shimmer shades found in Golden Hour are great for every occasion.
She said: “This palette is awesome because it’s bendable. You can create a softer smoky eye, or use the shades [in combination] with the other palettes.”

Bridget Malcolm prepares for show like a boxer

OHMYGOSSIP — Bridget Malcolm thinks preparing for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is like a “boxer getting ready for their title fight”. The 25-year-old beauty admitted she and her fellow models have to “train like athletes” ahead of the infamous lingerie show, and she works hard on keeping her figure trim with diet and exercise in order to look the best she can.

She told the ‘Today Show’: “It’s like a boxer getting ready for their title fight. We train, we sleep, we eat very cleanly.”

And the Australian model is now in the best shape she’s ever been in, with the Paris show just a week away. She added: “I know that I’m the fittest and the strongest I’ve ever been. I feel the best I’ve ever felt.”

Bridget has been “skinny shamed” in the past, and believes it is important to be healthy and “positive” about her body. She said: “I think body shaming in any form is hurtful and so irrelevant to people. I’m all about body positivity. It’s about being healthy and happy, and ignoring the haters.”

Bridget made her debut for the lingerie company at their show last year, and previously revealed her preparations this year have been less intense than her twice-daily workouts of 2015.

She said: “This year, I am doing less, and focusing more on resistance and strength training, which has really changed my body. You don’t want to arrive at the casting burnt out and cranky, you want to be able to live your life and show them that on the day.'”

And ahead of the show, Bridget hones her vegan diet even further, to cut out dessert, sugar and starchy foods. She said: “Leading up to the show I drink lots of water, protein shakes and vegetables.”

Zayn Malik is GQ's Best Dressed 2017

OHMYGOSSIP — Zayn Malik has been crowned GQ’s Best Dressed 2017.
The 23-year-old singer songwriter has beaten the ‘Night Manager’ actor to the post and has taken the title in the publications first-ever Reader’s Play-offs, which saw him gain an impressive 59 per cent of the vote according to GQ Online.
However, this is not the first time the ‘Pillowtalk’ has received the accolade as he was recognised for his incredible sense of style in 2013, which makes him the only male to receive the honour twice.
Meanwhile, Zayn – who has recently joined forces with Donatella Versace on a new collection for Versus Versace called Zayn x Versace – believes he has “individual style” ever since he was a child, because he used to customize his school uniform.
Speaking previously about his style in his autobiography ‘Zayn’, he said: “I’ve always had a bit of an individual style, even when I was a kid — for real. I hated school uniforms, and all the rules, having to wear a tie and shit. But when I sussed out that there were no rules regarding how we wore our school blazers, I would walk around the place with one arm in a sleeve, the other out, with my jacket dangling over a shoulder.
Although the musician – who is currently dating supermodel Gigi Hadid – credits himself with a good eye for fashion, he has revealed he used to be too “nervous” to take risks with his wardrobe choices.
He explained: “But then being so much in the public eye at a young age, I got a bit nervous to take many risks. I wasn’t so keen to step outside my comfort zone or think outside the box on what I was wearing.”

Devon Windsor 'never ever' thought she'd model for Victoria's Secret

OHMYGOSSIP — Devon Windsor “never ever” thought she would model for Victoria’s Secret.
The 22-year-old model – who made her debut on the lingerie giant’s runway in 2013 and is set to return for the fourth time later this month – has admitted she had “always dreamed” of starring in the shows but swatted her goal away because she didn’t think it would ever become a reality.
Speaking to Elle.com about her modelling career and the moment she received the confirmation call in three years ago to walk in the catwalk show, the blonde beauty said: “I always dreamed of being in the show and I would always watch, but I never, ever thought that I would get it.
“I screamed, ‘OH MY GOD! This isn’t happening!’ in the middle of the store and had to run out! It just changed my life.”
Although the blonde beauty has admitted she is a “little less nervous” about modelling for the fashion house because she is better friends with her fellow models, she has admitted stepping foot on the catwalk is the “scariest” but “most exciting” moment for her.
She explained: “It’s still extremely exciting, and amazing, and nerve-wracking. I guess I’m a little less nervous than my first time, but right before you walk it’s still the scariest but most exciting moment ever. I guess I didn’t know anyone my first year. Now I’m friends with basically everyone that’s in the show, which just makes it more fun and more enjoyable.
“Randomly enough, Gigi Hadid and I used to bake cookies for IMG a couple times back then [when we were starting out]. That was when I just moved to New York.”
Meanwhile, Devon has admitted she is a “really bad dieter”, and thinks if she was to embark on a strict eating regime she would look “too skinny”.
Speaking about her eating and fitness regime, she said: “I’m a really bad dieter.
“Honestly, I don’t need to diet or cut things out to stay fit because I work out a lot.
“I’m kind of naturally thin, so if I were to completely crash diet, I’d almost be too skinny, and for the VS [Victoria’s Secret] show you want to look strong and muscular and fit. Leading up to the show, I eat everything that I normally do but I moderate it. If I’m craving pizza, it’s not like I’m not going to eat it. I’ll have a couple of bites, or a slice, or whatever here and there and then work out harder in the gym. I don’t kill myself. I can’t live like that. I feel like you can eat everything that you want in moderation.”

Kylie Jenner wants to look like a 'Barbie doll'

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Jenner is desperate to look like a “Barbie doll” for her boyfriend Tyga.
The 19-year-old ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star, who rekindled her romance with the ‘Rack City’ rapper in June this year after a brief split in May, has reportedly been made to feel “insecure” by her beau and treats cosmetic surgery as a “security blanket” to keep Tyga interested.
A source close to the star said: “Kylie’s obsessed with looking like Tyga’s ultimate Barbie doll.
“She’s already had two boob jobs and wants two more to take her to a DD. She’s had a mini face-lift and Lipodissolve on her waist, upper arms and thighs. The size of her bum is down to fillers that she’s continuing to use.
“She’s hooked on surgery – it’s becoming a security blanket.”
However the television personality has told friends and family she is taking her beauty overhaul “slowly”, although others think differently.
The source explained to Now! magazine : “Kylie tells herself she’s doing it slowly and subtly, as her mum Kris and sister Kim advised her, but she’s not. Overnight her lips and breasts have exploded in size and now her butt’s getting bigger. She’s had so much liposuction off her waist people are wondering if she had a rib removed.”
However, the beauty mogul – who built up her beauty empire Kylie Cosmetics over two years before launching the ever-expanding e-store earlier this year – has ditched her platinum blonde locks and recently dyed her hair back to its original brunette shade thanks to the assistance of hair stylist Tokyo Stylez.
Kylie documented her dye job on Snapchat on Wednesday (23.11.16), proclaiming “it’s time” over a close-up shot of some dark hair.
And at one stage during the tricky process, Kylie ended up a red-head as her hairdresser began darkening her hair in stages, and teased she was considering keeping the bold colour with a Snapchat post stating “Maybe?”
But Kylie was thrilled to go back to her roots, and when the dye job was complete, she shared a picture of the finished look and wrote: “It’s me again”.

Jo Malone will 'never' quit the beauty industry again

OHMYGOSSIP — Jo Malone “never” wants to leave the beauty industry again.
The British perfumer – who founded her eponymous brand Jo Malone London, which she sold to Estée Lauder in 1999, and has since launched Jo Loves – has admitted she doesn’t want to be excluded from the beauty realm ever again, and intends to continue making fragrances and scented candles for years to come.
Speaking in her autobiography ‘Jo Malone: My Story’ about her hiatus and her comeback, Jo – who was forced to take a five-year break from Jo Malone London as part of her contract with the cosmetics giant, which ended in 2011 and saw her avoid every beauty counter – said: “I realised all I wanted to do was create fragrance. I’d sit in my kitchen making face creams and sob: ‘What have I done?’ There was no falling out, I simply wasn’t looking at the landscape, my head was still worried about the cancer. It was the wrong call.
“I felt I’d lost my identity, my voice. I felt the brand had become a bigger person than me.
“I’ve had a lot of tough knocks.
“I’m starting out all over again but I want to build another global brand. I know now that I will never leave this industry again.”
And the blonde beauty – who has overcome her battle with breast cancer – believes creating new scents is an innate skill.
She explained: “I paced round our home thinking ‘OK you have cancer. It’s a curve ball you weren’t expecting. Happens in the business all the time. Think. Don’t feel sorry for yourself.
“I create fragrances, that’s what I do.
“To me fragrance is like a kaleidoscope that I can twist to make people experience different things.”
Despite Jo’s ups and downs she believes her “difficult beginning” has “prepared” her for her future and will help her have longevity in her career.
She said: “But my difficult beginning in life prepared me.”
Although Jo’s chemotherapy temporarily destroyed her sense of smell, she has revealed she can smell anything, and detect when her family or her pet dog are ill.
She said: “I can smell anything. I could smell when my husband was sick, when there’s something no right with the dog, when it’s going to snow.”

Tom Ford won't use his clothes in film

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Ford refuses to use his own designs in his films.
The 55-year-old director insisted costume designer Arianne Phillips couldn’t use any of his sartorial creations in latest movie ‘Nocturnal Animals’, even though she felt they’d be perfect for Amy Adams’ character Susan, because he didn’t want people to feel he was using the picture to promote his other career.
Arianne said: “I wanted to use Tom’s glasses [for Susan], but he was really clear he didn’t want the audience to be taken out of the film, that he wasn’t making ‘a branded film’ to sell clothes – to his credit.”
However, the former Gucci creative director was able to put his fashion credentials to good use when he called in a favour from Chanel chief Karl Lagerfeld.
Arianne told The Daily Beast: “You learn in flashbacks the complicated relationship between Susan and her mother.
“Laura Linney’s white suit was Chanel, made just for her. That was the time I said, ‘Tom, I need you to pick up the phone and call Karl’.
“Tom agreed that Susan’s mother, a conservative Texas socialite with helmet-head hair, would wear Chanel, so he reached out.
“That’s the power of Tom Ford – the perk is the access!”
Though Susan’s stunning tricolour fur was produced by Tom Ford atelier’s furrier, and most others were custom made, Arianne insists none of the pieces – including the stunning green dress worn by Amy’s character – are likely to end up in one of Tom’s future fashion collections.
She noted of the green dress: “That colour was quite specific. It was dyed and made; we laboured over getting it the right colour for film – and camera tested it.
“Will it ever be used for a future collection? That’s a question for Tom Ford the fashion designer – we know film influences fashion – but maybe not for Tom Ford the director! ”

Zaid Affas praises celebrity influence on fashion

OHMYGOSSIP — Zaid Affas thinks Kylie Jenner and Gigi Hadid are giving people a better idea of “how to dress”.
The designer believes stars who are popular on social media, such as the ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star and her family and the 21-year-old supermodel, have made fashion a lot more accessible to “the public”, and given their young fans more sartorial knowledge.
He said: “”A lot more people are looking at fashion because of these celebrities, because of the Kardashians and the Jenners and the Hadid family. Social media has intensified celebrity influence and helped stars be more involved in fashion.
“And that celebrity influence helps bring the public into the fashion fold. It creates for the public an idea of how to dress and I think that’s an awesome thing.”
And Zaid – whose creations have been worn by the likes of Kylie, Gigi, and Kate Hudson – thinks social media has changed fashion in a “huge” way and forced designers to rethink how they market their brands.
He told People magazine: “It changed fashion in a huge way, whether positive or negative I don’t know.
“For a lot of designers now, thinking about social media has really influenced how they have to promote and market their brand.
“When I started my collection in 2014 it was really a time when Instagram started taking off and it kind of really created a dynamic I wasn’t prepared to do at the time. But I’ve learned that it’s a great way to introduce your clothes to the public and I’ve embraced it.
“When celebrities are seen wearing your designs on social media, the public pays more attention to it. It’s a useful tool.”
The British designer now wants to take his creations to the runway – and hopes his famous fans will appear in his shows.
Asked if runway is in his future, he said: “I hope so! Maybe Gigi and Kendall [Jenner] will come walk for me.”

Marion Cotillard had eight Allied dressed

OHMYGOSSIP — Marion Cotillard had eight dresses to shoot one sex scene in ‘Allied’.
Costume designer Joanna Johnston felt it was important to keep the actress and her co-star Brad Pitt’s outfits “simple” when it came to their outfits before they got intimate, and admitted there needs to be a lot of “repetition” as the garments get ripped.
She said: “I wanted to keep their clothes very simple–and in fact they’re both in pale colours. I didn’t want there to be a distraction with their clothing.
“She had a detail of beautiful drawn thread-work on her dress, and underneath it there were layers of underwear to peel off in pale peach silk satin. The action was in the forefront of my mind in this design.”
“There’s a lot of repetition in a lot of the outfits. The long green dress, we made eight of those.
“There’s much more repetition that you imagine, but yes, the sandstorm scene we had repeats–they wore white, so we had to back ourselves up!”
Joanna felt very attached to all the outfits in the World War II drama but admitted her favourite changes all the time.
She told MarieClaire.com: “Every time you create something, you have a bit of a crush on that piece. One of Brad Pitt’s heavy Irish linen suits, I had a crush on the fabric.
“And Marion’s dressing gown on the rooftop–I loved the fabric. If you ask me the same question over a 10-year period, I’d answer a different way each time!”
Though the early part of the two stars’ on-screen courtship largely takes place on a roof with both in their nightwear, Joanna was conscious of trying to make both Marion and Brad look as “sexy” as possible.
She said: “The rooftop scenes were very evocative – you had to feel the heat. I wanted them both to look really sexy.
“I wanted Cotillard to be classically sexy, so she’s in a silk-satin nightdress with lace. And then the robe – I wanted air to move in it – so it was very breezy. I used a very light-weight silk.”
