Peter Andre’s nose job was inspired by Robert Downey Jr

OHMYGOSSIP — Peter Andre’s nose job was inspired by Robert Downey Jr.
The 51-year-old pop star underwent an operation on his face after shooting to fame in the 1990s and he’s revealed he went to a cosmetic surgeon in Los Angeles and took along a picture of the actor to show the doctor exactly how he wanted his new nose to look.
During an appearance on Abbey Clancy’s ‘Exhibit A’ podcast, Peter explained he wanted to have surgery after being bullied at school over his looks. He said: “I remember at school in Australia because everyone was really good-looking you know they had really small noses and so of course I’m going to stick out.
“I remember girls that I used to fancy so much and they’d be like urgh look at his nose I remember it all so clearly.
“Obviously as an adult looking back I’m thinking I should have just been proud of it but I couldn’t wait to get to the age where I could do something about it.
“Now I was 24 or 25 it was after [his hit song] ‘Mysterious Girl’, I had my original nose so to speak and it was after that I did it.
“But you’ll notice if you ever see pictures of me back then, I never looked side on if someone took a picture I always had to be front on and I always looked down and I did that because I hated what I saw.”
He went on to reveal he wanted his new nose to make him look like Downey Jr, but the surgeon told him he had to be realistic about the operation.
Peter added: “I took him a picture of Robert Downey Jr in the film ‘Only You’ and Robert Downey Jr was just this freaking handsome guy and he’d always be side profile I’m like I want my nose to look like that so took a picture of it, took it to this doctor could you make me look like Robert Downey Jr.
“[He said] ‘I’m not a magician’ but he said: ‘I’ll tell you what I can make your nose much better’. Now I’m not saying that my nose looks like Robert Downey Jr but what I will say is the minute that operation happened I felt a sense of relief.”
The singer went on to reveal that after the operation, he stopped taking his shirt off in his music videos because he felt more confident with fans focusing on his face.
He added: “I can’t explain it. I would start being confident to be side profile … and then something amazing happened. I realised I’d been focusing on my body for so long to take the attention away from my face.
“So the minute this happened from 1997 to ’98 I never took my shirt off again in any videos in anything I did because I didn’t feel I needed to do that.”

Saoirse Ronan refuses to join social media

OHMYGOSSIP — Saoirse Ronan refuses to join social media because she hates the idea of sharing details of her personal life with “people I don’t know”.
The ‘Lady Bird’ star has confessed she feels “lucky” to have shot to fame as a child star before social media became so dominant because she’s managed to have a successful career without having to join sites like Instagram because many young stars of today don’t have a choice.
She told Elle magazine: “I like that people don’t know my business. I just fundamentally believe that they don’t need to. I’m an actor, and the side of me that’s out there that I want people to see is in the work.
“I also think I was very lucky that when I was coming up, it was right before social media really took off. I can see, with the slightly younger generation, how they’ve felt the pressure to have that presence.”
Saoirse went on to reveal she has lost roles because she doesn’t have a social media presence and she worries young stars now have to share their lives online or risk failure in the acting business.
She added: “I’ve been in audition rooms where I haven’t gotten a role because I didn’t have enough Twitter followers or whatever.
“And in the end, I was like, ‘Okay, well, I don’t want to be in a movie like that, anyway’. But when you’re coming up and nobody knows who you are, and you’re trying to make a name for yourself in the world that we’re in now, I can understand how you can give that too much importance. I was lucky that I just got past that.”
Saoirse concluded: “It doesn’t make sense to me why I would share my personal life with people I don’t know.”
The 30-year-old actress was thrust into the spotlight at the age of 12 after landing her breakout role in 2007 war drama ‘Atonement’ which won her an Oscar nomination, and Saoirse previously admitted she worried would never have proper friends or a partner after growing up in the movie industry.
However, she has since married fellow actor Jack Lowden and found a “beautiful network” of pals.
She told USA Today: “My life has become so much more than just work. For a long time, that’s all I did; that’s how I met people and made sense of the world.”
She added: “[Now] I feel like I’m part of a group, which I never thought I would have. I used to think, ‘You’ll never have friends. You’ll never have a partner.’ I was so in my own world, in a lot of ways.
“So now, to feel like I’ve got a very rich personal and social life – it’s so precious to me.”

The 55-year-old actor enjoyed a huge amount of success with a series of rom-com movies, such as ‘The Wedding Planner’ and ‘How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days’, but Matthew ultimately wanted to take his career in another direction.
Matthew said on the ‘Good Trouble’ podcast: “I was the rom-com dude, man, that was my lane, and I liked that lane. That lane paid well and it was working.
“But the lane was … I was so strong in that lane that anything outside of that lane, dramas and stuff that I wanted to do, were like, ‘no, no, no, no, no McConaughey.’ Hollywood said, ‘no, no, no, no, you should stay there, stay there.'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lala Kent regrets her part in Brittany Cartwright’s recent fling.
The 35-year-old reality TV star recently admitted to dating a friend of Jax Taylor, her estranged husband, and Lala has now opened up about her role in Brittany’s fling.
Lala, 34, told E! News: “I introduced him, this Julian person, into the group, and I feel horrible that he’s caused such a ruckus. Because my last guy also caused a ruckus with Jax’s pocketbook. I’m not bringing men into the group anymore.”
Despite this, Lala wasn’t aware that Brittany and Jax have been feuding through their own podcasts in recent weeks.
She explained: “I’m in such a bubble. I didn’t realise that they had duelling podcasts that came out, I’m just out here trying to figure out how to get my podcast done, pay my bills and nurse my newborn.”

The reality star confessed to feeling devastated when he learned that his estranged wife was texting with his friend.
Jax – who married Brittany in 2019 – said on the ‘Hot Mic’ podcast: “We were sitting in my house, and her phone was on the coffee table. And a message popped up, and I looked at it, and it was a simple message from Julian.

Jax felt particularly hurt when he discovered that Brittany – who filed for a divorce earlier this year – was flirting with one of his friends.
He said: “I don’t think I would have been bothered by it if it was somebody else that I didn’t know.”

Liam Payne’s farewell charity act was raising funds for cancer-stricken children

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Payne’s farewell charity act was raising funds for cancer-stricken children.
The late One Direction singer, who died aged 31 on 16 October after he fell 45ft from the third-floor balcony of his suite at the CasaSur Hotel in Buenos Aires where he had been on holiday, was laid to rest on Wednesday (20.11.24) at St Mary’s Church in Amersham, south-east England.
Philanthropic Liam gave away tens of thousands of pounds of his showbiz fortune to charity, and the order of service at his final goodbye showed his family is directing all donations left in his name to the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital – with the money set to be used to help construct a new cancer unit on its famous London site.
The section of the order of service referring to Liam’s final fundraiser said: “Thank you for your donation to Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity in memory of our friend Liam Payne.
“Your donation today will continue Liam’s legacy by helping to build a brand new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
“This incredible new building will help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer.”
Liam’s ex Cheryl, 41, who has his seven-year-old son Bear, was among the famous faces mourning him at his funeral.
His habit of secretly giving to charity emerged after his death, and included an £80,000 donation to a London food poverty charity during the Covid lockdowns.
The tragic One Direction singer gave the cash after becoming so moved by the plight of the poor during the pandemic he quietly volunteered at a food bank.
The director of the Euston Food Bank, North West London, was quoted by the Daily Mail saying Liam – who had an estimated net worth of £50 million – gave away a chunk of his music fortune after he was messaged on social media by a volunteer who was a fan of One Direction about helping at the centre.
She added: “Liam Payne was the kindest, most sensitive young man I have ever met over an incredibly long period of time.
“He got in touch out of the blue and offered help. We desperately needed the money at the time.
“We were dealing with a massive increase in demand – because of lockdown people were desperate for food.
“He got in touch and asked what we did and what we needed. We told him about our work and he said, ‘Right, I’m giving you £80,000.’”
Half of Liam’s donation went to the Camden Town charity Food for All, and the singer visited both the Euston food bank and Food For All’s community kitchen where he volunteered.
Liam also supported the Trussell charity’s food banks.
He also gave reportedly away £10,000 in one night of donating online to sick children, teens and young adults.
Liam was said to have been so moved by reading stories of stricken patients on GoFundMe pages he gave away the cash in a few hours.

The ‘U Remind Me’ hitmaker explained: “Skating has always kept me young, and it’s something that I feel is a necessity for youth nowadays. Everybody spends so much time scrolling.”
Usher has helped to open Flipper’s World Roller Boogie Palace, a skating rink residency at The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. The singer has described his latest endeavour as a “victory lap for Las Vegas”.

The 66-year-old Queen of Pop has been working on ‘Who’s That Girl’ – a film about her life and career – for four years now, but she is considering other options after going back and forth with “producers and agents”.
On Monday (18.11.24), she wrote on Instagram: “After struggling for days in LA, listening to producers and agents tell me why I couldn’t make my film — (I been working on it for 4 years!!!) downsize-down scale – think smaller – they say — I realised that everything in my life is going to be challenged.
“No easy rides for me. I guess I should be grateful.. It forces me to think outside the box. I did not have a normal life.
“I cannot make this in the normal way… Spending time with my creative friends was just the fuel I needed to keep going!
“We all agreed that we need to be even more fearless!!! Art = Survival. We cannot shrink and make ourselves smaller.

Cynthia Erivo hits back at ‘annoying’ question everyone asks about her long nails

OHMYGOSSIP — Cynthia Erivo was “annoyed” by Dax Shepard’s “inappropriate” question about her long nails.
The ‘Wicked’ actress – who plays Elphaba in the big screen adaptation of the iconic musical – admitted she is getting bored of people asking about her manicure, particularly when it comes to the same query about the logistics of going to the bathroom.
On the latest episode of his ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast, Dax said: “Can I ask you a really crazy question that’s inappropriate?”
The 37-year-old star quickly interjected, insisting she knew what he was going to ask because it’s something “no one’s afraid” to bring up.
She said: “Everybody asks that question, and my answer is that nobody uses just their fingers to wipe their backside.
“You use tissue, correct? And you wipe!”
She pointed out that toilet paper goes on “the pads of the fingers”, meaning she doesn’t “feel” her nails.
Although she understands why people are curious, she is done with the questions.
Dax asked if she was “offended” by the inquiry”, and she explained: “I’m annoyed by it. I’m, like, ‘Come on, guys.’
“But I get it, but it’s also, like, ‘I’m a functioning adult, and I’ve never walked around smelling like, you know…’
“Here’s the thing, there are people who do not have nails who need to check how they’re wiping.”
The Broadway star joked that there are some people who’ve asked how she gets anything done at all with her long nails.
She quipped: “And I’m like, ‘I mean, I’m here! I’m dressed.’ ”
Cynthia recently admitted she has always thought of herself as “different” and hopes that others who feel the same way will be inspired when they see Elphaba in the film.
She told ‘The View’: “I think I’m a bit of an odd one out often. I walk into the room, and especially in this particular field of work, I’m different.
“There aren’t many who look like me. I stick out, I’m an odd one out.
“I hope that people see Elphaba and understand if they feel different, and if they feel like they’re on the outside, that that only makes them more special.”
