Guardians of the Galaxy star Sean Gunn insists Marvel and DC are incomparable

OHMYGOSSIP — Sean Gunn thinks comparing Marvel and DC is like doing so with “apples and oranges”.
The 50-year-old actor – whose brother is DC Studios chief James Gunn – has appeared in both superhero series through Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ trilogy and DC’s ‘The Suicide Squad’, though has now insisted the two rival franchises are too different to compare to one another because the latter is only just starting its cinematic universe whereas the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has dominated cinema for more than a decade.
In an interview with TheWrap, he said: “I came into the whole process of working at Marvel once the machine was kind of already up and running smoothly and doing well.
“DC, I’ve done ‘Suicide Squad’, but now they’re kind of overhauling it, and it’s now ever since my brother took over as head of the studio. It’s sort of been a new process for them. So it would be, it’s really kind of true, like trying to compare apples and oranges.”
Even so, Sean explained that working with both studios felt “similar” to him because he got to collaborate with his brother.
He added: “Underneath it all, working with my brother is more similar than it is different to other things.
“So, the fact that I was working with James in Marvel and James in DC makes it actually … there’s a lot more similarities in terms of process.”
Sean is set to appear in his brother’s upcoming DC TV show ‘Creature Commandos’ and movie ‘Superman’, where he will play antagonist Maxwell Lord in the blockbuster.
The actor teased that his take on the supervillain will be completely unique and isn’t based on any previous live-action portrayals of the character.
He said: “It’s all from written materials with things that we figure we’re looking at.”
Last month, James revealed that production on ‘Superman’ – which stars David Corenswet as the titular hero and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor – had finished and said he was “forever grateful” to have worked with such a brilliant cast and crew on the flick.
He wrote on Instagram: “And that’s a wrap. God bless our cast and crew whose commitment, creativity, and hard work have brought this project to life.
“I set out to make a movie about a good man in a world that isn’t always so much. And the goodness and kindness and love I’ve encountered on a daily basis on the set has inspired me and thrust me forward when I felt too spent to move on my own.
“Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. It has been an honour.”

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice star Winona Ryder says movie couldn’t have been made without Jenna Ortega

OHMYGOSSIP — Winona Ryder doesn’t think ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ could’ve been made without Jenna Ortega.
The 52-year-old actress has finally been given the chance to reprise her role as Lydia Deetz in the upcoming comedy horror sequel and believes that her 21-year-old co-star – who plays her daughter Astrid in the picture – was the key to getting the project off the ground.
She told ComicBook.com: “There were a lot of times when I was, you know, I had sort of gotten my hopes up and, but there was never, I felt like it was sort of this kismet fate because I realized that we had to wait for Jenna to be born and grow up and be like perfect because she really just fit, she sort of completed this puzzle, you know.”
Ryder also praised newcomers Justin Theroux, Willem Dafoe and Monica Bellucci for giving her the “dream cast” to work with.
She said: “And she was such an amazing addition, as was Justin and Willem and Monica. I mean, it’s like a dream cast.”
The actress added she was “very present” throughout the production of the movie – which sees Michael Keaton return as the titular ghost – while describing the experience of returning as Lydia as “an absolute dream come true”.
She recalled: “Every moment of being there I was like very present. I made sure because I was, it’s like an absolute dream come true and you just want to really be present for every single, literally every single moment.
“And I mean, of all of the things that I’ve done, it’s really one of the most special things to just be back with these people that meant the world to me. It kind of spoiled me as an actress and you know, were so inclusive when I was a kid.”
Ryder also gushed about working with director Tim Burton again and emphasised how the pair had “such a great bond” that was recreated during the making of the sequel.
She said: “Tim was, you know, we had such a great bond and he was able to recreate that for [us], even with all of the buzz or anticipation and you know, that it still felt like we were somehow like under, we were, again just like no studio presence like and that might be a testament to the great producers.
“But we just felt this liberating, like inspiring in the moment like, oh let’s try this, just this freedom because I trust him so much. I know he’s not going to use anything that doesn’t work.”

Tipping Point: Lucky Stars is returning to screens next weekend

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Tipping Point: Lucky Stars’ is returning to screens.
The celebrity spin-off of Ben Shephard’s weeknight quiz show is returning with a primetime slot on Sundays on ITV1, with the first episode of the new series starting on September 8, according to The Sun.
The format sees three celebrities take on the giant slot machine in the hope of winning 20,000 pounds for charity.
A few months back, broadcast veteran Jonathan Ross suggested the celebrity edition is “easier” than the civilian show.
The chat show host suggested famous faces get special treatment when it comes to the questions they have to answer.
Speaking on his ‘Parenting Hell’ podcast, he said: “They make it easier when the celebs are on. The questions are always a little bit easier.”
Comedian Rob Beckett was on Jonathan’s podcast, and as another former ‘Tipping Point’ contestant, he admitted there were ways to get a more favourable set of questions.
He teased: “The key in the ‘research chat’ is to act really thick.”
Jonathan quipped: “‘Have you heard about a guy called Napoleon?’ ‘Yeah I’ve heard of him. Waterloo…’
“Then, first question, ‘Where did Napoleon meet his defeat?’”
Ben has fronted the show since 2012, and he previously praised those who sign up for the show as “incredibly brave”.
He told the Daily Mirror: “These people are under pressure in an environment and their minds go blank and they can’t think of anything and the words don’t make sense.
“And I just have so much admiration for all of them. There have been some amazing answers but to be fair to all those people that come in, they are incredibly brave to take on the machine.”

Tim Burton became ‘disillusioned with the movie industry’

OHMYGOSSIP — Tim Burton has become “a little bit disillusioned with the movie industry” over recent years.
The 66-year-old director has admitted that he’s felt “lost” at times – but he’s rediscovered his love for film-making with ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’, the long-awaited sequel to 1988’s ‘Beetlejuice’.
Tim – whose new film has premiered at the Venice Film Festival – explained: “Over the past few years, I got a little bit disillusioned with the movie industry, [I sort] of lost myself.
“For me, I realised the only way to be a success is that I have to love doing it. For this one, I just enjoyed and loved making it.”
Tim observed that ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ “has an energy and a personal nature to it”.
He said: “We did everything quickly; the things that usually take months we did quickly.
“We’d go buy a doll from a toy store and rip it up and put rods on it and do some stuff. That was the spirit, and it doesn’t always happen in films. It has an energy and a personal nature to it that everybody contributed to.”
Meanwhile, Jenna Ortega recently revealed that she had no hesitations about joining the cast of ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’.
The 21-year-old actress also relished the experience of reuniting with Tim, who directed her on ‘Wednesday’.
Jenna – who plays Wednesday Addams on the hit Netflix series – told ‘Extra’: “[Tim] threw me off. It was in Malibu … we were talking about ‘Wednesday’, gives me the ‘Beetlejuice’ script.
“I went, ‘Oh, okay, right-right, cool. Thank you very much.’ Left. Got in my car, pulled over ten minutes into the drive on the side of Pacific Coast Highway … I just read the entire thing.”

Ryan Reynolds: Stunt performers deserve more recognition

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Reynolds believes stunt performers deserve their own Oscars category.
The 47-year-old actor has taken to social media to pay tribute to the stunt performers who worked on ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’.
Ryan wrote on X: “Stunt work doesn’t have a category at The Oscars and I hope that’ll change someday. So many films have smashed it this year. Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd and Chaplin were stunt performers as well as filmmakers. Telling stories with their entire bodies.
“This D and W stunt team over-delivered. A lot of them are friends I’ve worked with for years and I’ll spend the rest of my days doodling their names in my Heidi Stationary, dotting all the “i’s” with little hearts.
“I’ve worked with Alex Kyshkovych since the very first @deadpoolmovie . He not only doubles me – he’s the Fight Coordinator. I’d take a sledgehammer to the face for Alex. Or rather, I’d ask Alex to take a sledgehammer to the face for Alex.
“Second Unit Director/Supervising Stunt Coordinator, George Cottle is a HUGE GET. You’ve seen his genius in Spider-Man NWH along with a ton of other gems. His skill is world class and he made the entire film better. I’d let Alex to take a rusty fork to the eye for George. (sic)”
Ryan believes stunt performers ultimately deserve more recognition and appreciation.
The Hollywood star wrote on the micro-blogging platform: “It’s mind boggling how much @RealHughJackman does himself. But Daniel Stevens steps in for the truly dangerous stuff. He’s been “Wolverining” a long time. As we know, Wolverining is HARD. I’d ask Alex to eat the crab salad I left on the dashboard for three straight days for Dan.
“Huge shoutout to Andy Lister for bringing a new and insane Wolvie gear to the Deadpool Corps fight as well.
“If you’d like to see @TheAcademy recognize the amazing work of stunt teams ACROSS THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY, let them know! [heart emojis] (sic)”

Tristan Phipps admits his break-up was ‘really hard’

OHMYGOSSIP — Tristan Phipps found his break-up from Olivia Bentley to be “really hard”.
The 27-year-old star had an on-off relationship with Olivia, 29, until they finally split from good in 2023, and Tristan has now admitted that he struggled to come to terms with their break-up.
During an appearance on ‘Celebs Go Dating’, Tristan – who has subsequently dated Lauren Sintes and Julia Pollard – shared: “It was really hard, we broke up, twice or three times in that period, and we’d always end up back together.”
Tristan also rubbished the suggestion that he’s not trustworthy.
He explained: “There was never any cheating or scandals or anything. It was just, something didn’t fit when it came to how we communicated our feelings to each other.”
What’s more, Tristan confessed to feeling upset about the public’s perception of him.
The ‘Made In Chelsea’ star said: “I’ve never cheated in my life.
“I’ve never purposely strung along two women. There’s never been an overlap or crossover with anyone.
“That’s what affects me a lot, people’s preconceived judgement of who I am.”
Olivia quit ‘Made In Chelsea’ earlier this year in order to focus on her business interests.
A source subsequently claimed that she grew tired of being at the forefront of the show’s drama.
The insider told The Sun newspaper: “Liv has been at the forefront of all the drama for years – she’s been there the longest out of everyone.
“It’s been hard-going in recent series with her relationship with Tristan breaking down and she realised she needs to take a step back for her own good.
“She’s in a really great place and still loves the show so is taking a step back for now. There’s some new stars joining the cast who are ready and raring to shake things up a bit.”

Lisa Faulkner suffered ‘very dark times’ amid fertility struggles

OHMYGOSSIP — Lisa Faulkner experienced some “very dark” times amid her fertility struggles.
The 52-year-old actress went through three rounds of unsuccessful IVF treatment and suffered an ectopic pregnancy during her marriage to actor Chris Coghill, and Lisa has now admitted that it was a very difficult time in her life.
Lisa – who ultimately adopted daughter Billie, now 18, before she split from Chris – told Good Housekeeping magazine: “Those years were a very dark time.
“One minute I wasn’t that bothered about kids, apart from my nieces, and then something happened overnight and I wanted a baby so badly.
“All my peers were trying at the same time, so it was like we were swimming in the same pool, but they kept getting pregnant and climbing out until, eventually, I was still swimming in there alone.
“It was really lonely. When people would tell me they were pregnant I’d try to be fine, but I’d go home and be full of shame, anger and sadness. When I had IVF, it was with an amazing doctor with whom nine out of ten patients got pregnant – and I was the one in ten who didn’t. I thought, ‘Why me?’ It was exhausting.'”
Lisa adopted Billy when she was just 17 months old, and the actress admitted that it hasn’t been a straightforward process.
The former ‘Holby City’ actress – who is now married to TV star John Torode – explained: “My daughter is my world, but adopting is a completely different ballgame in every way to conceiving a child. Even armed with every bit of knowledge you can find, it’s not easy, because you’re dealing with a child with trauma.
“It’s a trauma that will never, ever be healed, and my job is to be there to help make it better in every way I can. I’ve had to do a lot of work on myself. It’s an ongoing process; it doesn’t stop.”

Olivia Attwood’s Bad Boyfriends role ‘is a dream come true’

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Attwood believes her own relationship experiences make her the ideal host of ‘Bad Boyfriends’.
The 33-year-old star will host the new reality TV series, and Olivia believes that she’s the perfect candidate for the job, given her own “dating experience”.
She said: “I’ve prepared for this role in my personal life because I’ve done the dating – I’ve got the dating experience to hopefully guide these girls and boys to better relationships.
“But from a hosting point of view, it’s paying my dues really.”
In recent years, Olivia has presented a series of ITV documentaries, while she’s also joined the ‘Loose Women’ panel.
And Olivia believes that those experiences will now help her in her new role.
She said: “I’ve been doing the documentaries which has been a great learning curve and now being a part of ‘Loose Women’ and various other smaller hosting roles, they’ve all been great training tools towards hosting a format of my own.”
Olivia explained that she’ll have a very hands-on role on the new TV show.
The blonde beauty – who previously starred on ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ – shared: “I’m the host and essentially it’s my show but I’m trying to construct challenges and tests for the boyfriends and girlfriends to guide them towards a better relationship and ultimately a happy ending.
“They all come in with various relationship problems and it’s trying to work out as many as those as we can in the time we’ve got.”
Olivia also sees her new role as a “full circle moment” in her TV career.
She said: “It feels like a dream come true.
“Coming into this industry via reality television, it feels like a real full circle moment and something I’ve been working really hard towards over the last six or seven years and something I feel like I’m ready for.”

Gwyneth Paltrow to star alongside Timothee Chalamet in first movie role in five years

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwyneth Paltrow will star opposite Timothee Chalamet in ‘Marty Supreme’ – her first movie role in five years.
The 51-year-old actress will appear alongside the ‘Dune’ star, 28, in director Josh Safdie’s upcoming film, which is rumoured to be loosely inspired by the story of a professional ping-pong player.
The picture – which is being written by Safdie and Ronald Bronstein – is being produced by A24 and will mark Paltrow’s first appearance on the silver screen since 2019’s ‘Avengers Endgame’, where she played Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) partner Pepper Potts.
Even though she enjoyed her time playing the character – who had appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) for 11 years after her introduction in 2008’s ‘Iron Man’ – Paltrow had previously admitted she felt like she was done with the superhero franchise.
She told Harper’s Bazaar magazine: “I mean, I’m a bit old to be in a suit … I feel very lucky that I did it, because I actually got talked in to it.
“I was friends with [‘Iron Man’ director] Jon Favreau. It was such a wonderful experience making the first ‘Iron Man’ and then to watch how important it has become to the fans.”
Despite her long and successful career, the ‘Shakespeare in Love’ Oscar-winner – who is now focused on her lifestyle brand Goop – insisted her days as a Hollywood leading lady were over.
She said: “I will literally never get a taste for acting again.
“When I was acting I really burned myself out … I really got to the point where even the little things, like sitting in the van going to set, getting your make-up touch-ups, and everything – I really don’t know that I can bear it.”
The actress explained she came to this revelation on the set of 2005’s ‘Proof’ when she was pregnant with her 20-year-old daughter Apple, who she has with her ex-husband Chris Martin.
She recalled: “The last movie I starred in, I was pregnant with my daughter. It was a movie called ‘Proof’, an adaptation of a play I did in London, and I was like, ‘I’ve had it. I can’t do this anymore.’
“I had morning sickness and I was dying, and I had these five-page monologues. So when I had her, I knew I was going to take a big chunk of time off. And I’ve never starred in anything again.”

‘I sucked’: Michael Keaton says he let Tim Burton down with Dumbo performance

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Keaton feels like he “sucked” in Tim Burton’s ‘Dumbo’.
The 72-year-old actor starred in the 2019 live-action remake of the classic Disney flick as the villainous V.A. Vandevere, though has now admitted he feels like he disappointed the director with his lacklustre performance.
He told The New York Times: “I think I let him down on one movie, but that’s just me, and it bugs me to this day.
“I was clueless on ‘Dumbo’. I sucked in ‘Dumbo’.”
Burton added: “I don’t even know what you’re talking about. But whatever.”
The pair have reunited for ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ – the legacy sequel to the 1988 comedy classic which sees Keaton reprise his role as the titular foul-mouthed ghost.
Although the ‘Edward Scissorhands’ filmmaker wanted to move the feature’s story and universe forward with the upcoming picture, Burton insisted he wanted to keep Beetlejuice as “politically incorrect” as possible.
Speaking to Collider, he said: “I think Michael and I both love the fact that he was politically incorrect then, and he’s politically incorrect now. I’m just laughing because somebody asked him the other day, ‘Michael, how does Beetlejuice’s character evolve?’ And we just started laughing because he doesn’t evolve — that’s the whole point!”
The ‘Batman’ actor – who stars alongside Winona Ryder, Jenna Ortega, Monica Bellucci and Willem Dafoe in the film- added the sequel would include a lot of “big swings” but said that the cast and crew had to be “a tiny, tiny, tiny bit more politically correct” in the new movie.
He explained: “There was a lot of [big swings] in the first one. It was like one gigantic big swing. Less so now because we knew we could get away with more.
“It’s weird, we had to be a tiny, tiny, tiny, bit more politically correct, but we didn’t even think about that too much. A couple of times, we went, ‘Yeah, maybe not,’ and then we went right up to it.”

Ben Fogle battled ‘crippling paranoia and anxiety’ in 2023

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Fogle suffered a “breakdown” in 2023.
The 50-year-old TV star has revealed via social media that he suffered “crippling paranoia and anxiety” last year, which led to him being diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
In a lengthy message on Instagram, Ben shared: “A year ago I suffered a mental health wobble. An episode. A storm. A blip
“I don’t know if there is a specific term for it but it was basically a burnt out, break down. I’ve been on quite a journey since. I’ve learnt a lot about my neurological uniquenesses.
“And I’ve navigated the storm. Through a mix of CBT, medicine, and now some alternative therapies I feel like my old self.
“Gone is the crippling paranoia and anxiety, replaced by my calm old self.
“I’m telling you this firstly because I believe as someone who shares my successes it’s important to also share our vulnerabilities.
“It is not to jump on some trend or for sympathy. It’s because if it happened to me, I can happen to you.
“But just like a broken bone or a pneumonia ravaged lung or even a flesh eating bug (all of which I have had) We can heal. They don’t define us or make us weak. They prove that we are human. Vulnerable to the pressures of modern life. (sic)”
Ben insisted there shouldn’t be a “stigma” attached to mental health issues.
The broadcaster also revealed that he’s made a concerted effort to simplify his lifestyle.
He said: “A mental health trauma should not be a stigma but a reality check for the increasingly complicated world in which we live.
“What’s helped me is doing less and simplifying my life. Less social media. Less work Less pressure to be perfect The results are that I worry less. Stress less. Anger less Fixate less.
“Giving me more time has helped me back to reality. To being me. Exactly the same person I have always been. Simple.
“Love, peace and simplicity. (sic)”

Louis Theroux produces Boybands Forever for BBC Two

OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Theroux is producing a new BBC show that will explore boyband mania during the 90s and 00s.
‘Boybands Forever’ will air on BBC Two in the autumn and the series will feature some searingly honest interviews with some well-known figures in the music industry, including Robbie Williams and Simon Cowell.
Louis said: “I couldn’t be more thrilled about this series.
“An epic story featuring a cast of stars and star-makers, spanning three decades, it involves some of the icons of modern British pop.
“We see them through their highs and lows, hearing from the key players, as we chart the golden years of boy bands. How they came together, the experience of sudden fame, the opportunity and temptations that came their way, conflicts within the groups, between the groups, and between the boys and their managers.”
Louis has been working on the show for more than 12 months, and the veteran documentary-maker can’t wait for people to see it.
He said: “It’s a gripping fable about getting everything you dreamed of, and it not being what you imagined, centred on a generation of young men, and their managers, who were wildly successful and also immensely vulnerable, having the times of their lives and also in some cases cracking up.
“Those boys we all watched singing and dancing in tight formation – Take That, East 17, Westlife, Blue, Five, Damage, 911 and so many others – are now middle-aged men who have the time and the maturity to look back and reflect on what they went through.
“It’s taken us more than a year to make the series. Now I’m just excited for people to see it.”

The Inbetweeners could be rebooted, says Joe Thomas

OHMYGOSSIP — Talks are underway about a reboot of ‘The Inbetweeners’.
The teen sitcom proved to be a huge hit with viewers between 2008 and 2010, and Joe Thomas – who played Simon Cooper on the TV series – has now revealed that it could soon be rebooted, either as a movie or as a TV show.
Asked if there have been any conversations about a comeback, Joe said on the ‘Always Be Comedy’ podcast: “Yes, it’s happened in various forms. All of us feel it would be nice to do.”
Joe has already considered various “ideas” about a possible reboot. But the prospect makes him feel a little bit anxious, too.
He explained: “Everybody’s anxiety would be, ‘Will it be as good?’. That is what we would be going in with.”
Joe starred on the comedy show alongside Simon Bird, Blake Harrison and James Buckley, and the cast members have remained in touch ever since.
Joe shared: “We’re all still around, we’re all still in each other’s lives. We all still like each other. And if it was something that came up, I think we would want to do it.
“I feel like we all still really like each other.”
What’s more, Joe and his co-stars feel they’ve been able to “prove something” to themselves since ‘The Inbetweeners’ ended.
The actor – who has also appeared in ‘Fresh Meat’ and ‘White Gold’ – said: “We’ve all been able to go away and get various monkeys off our backs, in terms of things that we felt we needed to do other than ‘The Inbetweeners’ to prove something to ourselves.”

Craig Revel Horwood backs Strictly Come Dancing ‘to rise above struggles’

OHMYGOSSIP — Craig Revel Horwood believes ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ can “rise above” its recent struggles.
The 59-year-old TV star is convinced that the BBC show can bounce back from the high-profile exits of professional dancers Graziano Di Prima and Giovanni Pernice.
Craig – who appears on the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judging panel – told Woman’s Weekly magazine: “I think the show can rise above what has happened, I really do.
“It has a certain verve and people would be so sad if this was to mean the show didn’t continue. I always look forward to a new series. I’ve become part of the furniture in a way.”
Similarly, Janette Manrara recently insisted that it would be “really sad” if ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ was “destroyed” by scandal.
The 40-year-old professional dancer – who is married to fellow professional Aljaz Skorjanec – fears that the recent allegations of bullying and abusive behaviour towards some celebrity contestants from their partners will overshadow the “20 years of happiness” that the Latin and ballroom programme has brought to viewers.
She told Fabulous magazine: “It would really be sad if a couple of incidents destroy the 20 years of happiness that ‘Strictly’s brought. All of my [celebrity] partners and I are still really good friends. Aljaz is still really great friends with his partners.
“There are a gazillion stories of all the happiness that ‘Strictly’ has brought, not just to the contestants but to the fans, too. They’ve been posting on social media saying: ‘Oh, I really hope the show carries on.’ And it will carry on, because it brings so much joy to people.”

Rebecca Ferguson boards The Magic Faraway Tree movie adaptation

OHMYGOSSIP — Rebecca Ferguson has been cast in ‘The Magic Faraway Tree’.
The ‘Dune’ actress, 40, has signed on to star as the terrifying headmistress Dame Snap in the upcoming Palisades Park Pictures movie adaptation of Enid Blyton’s book series for children, which will be directed by ‘Britannia’ filmmaker Ben Gregor.
In a statement, the director said: “Rebecca is a towering screen presence, one of the finest actors of her generation, and will be an electrifying addition to our movie.”
The actress will star opposite the likes of Andrew Garfield, Claire Foy, Jennifer Saunders, Pippa Bennett-Warner, Nicola Coughlan and Nonso Anozie in the picture, which is currently filming at Shinfield Studios in the UK.
Ferguson is best known for starring opposite Tom Cruise as the secret agent Ilsa Faust in the ‘Mission: Impossible’ franchise, though exited the series after her character was killed off in last year’s ‘Dead Reckoning’.
The actress explained she felt it was the right time for her to depart the franchise because she believed Faust was becoming a “team player”.
During an appearance on the ‘UnWrapped’ podcast, she said: “To speak very clearly – because I know a lot of people are sad about it, I’m sad about it – I had filmed three films. My deal was done.
“And I love her beyond words. Beyond words. I think she’s the most awesome, fantastic character.
“Ilsa was becoming a team player. And we can all want different things, but for me, Ilsa was rogue. Ilsa was naughty. Ilsa was unpredictable. There was a lot of characters coming in, not leaving enough space for what she had been.”
Ferguson added that she didn’t want to commit to making more ‘Mission: Impossible’ flicks due to the lengthy production process that comes with the action franchise.
She said: “Selfishly, that’s a lot of time to make a ‘Mission’ film. And unless you’re going to have a lot of screen time, that’s a lot of time sitting around waiting to film a huge movie that could take over a year to film. It’s dedication.”
