Olly Alexander prepared to take anti-depressants for life

OHMYGOSSIP — Years & Years frontman Olly Alexander isn’t worried about being on anti-depressants for life.
The 28-year-old singer has always been open about his mental health issues and has revealed he has been taking medication for the past eight years to control his depression and although he was previously worried being becoming addicted to his medication he now is not “ashamed” to take something that helps him not feel “overwhelmed”.
In a video interview on the GQ website, he said: “I’ve taken some form of anti-depressant for eight years, I had a year where I didn’t take any a year-and-a-half and then I was like quite worried about it because you think, ‘I don’t wanna be addicted to something.’
“Part of me feels like it would be in some way like shameful to have too – there’s a part of me that feels a bit ashamed that would be the case that I couldn’t cope with life without it or something.
“But then another part of me goes, if this is the way I can best live my life and feel like I’m not overwhelmed or want to top myself then it’s a good thing you know? And I’m not ashamed of that so, no.”
The ‘King’ hitmaker revealed that although his success in the music business has helped him build up his self-esteem, he thinks of himself as being different to the person who performs on stage with his band.
He said: “That has helped my self-worth actually, being in Years & Years, that has built my confidence up. But at the same time, it’s very easy and lots of performers talk about this you divorce yourself from the character you have on stage. So the adoration from fans feels like it’s directed at someone whose not you so I think it sometimes doesn’t make a difference. People can be like saying how much they love you but it doesn’t make a difference it doesn’t feel like it’s going in, you just feel like well that’s not me that’s someone else.”

Alec Baldwin slams punch allegations

OHMYGOSSIP — Alec Baldwin has slammed allegations he punched someone in a row over a parking space.
The 60-year-old actor was arrested by police after he reportedly become embroiled in a heated argument on the streets of New York City when an unnamed man swooped in to take the parking spot that Alec’s friend was trying to hold for him, but the ‘Saturday Night Live’ star has slammed the “defaming allegations” against him.
Shortly after being released from police custody, Alec – who will appear in court later this month on assault and harassment charges – took to Twitter to refute the allegation.
He used his family foundation’s account to tweet: “Normally, I would not comment on something as egregiously misstated as today’s story.
“However, the assertion that I punched anyone over a parking spot is false.
“I wanted to go on the record stating as much.
“I realize that it has become a sport to tag people w as many negative charges and defaming allegations as possible for the purposes of clickbait entertainment.
“Fortunately, no matter how reverberating the echos, it doesn’t make the statements true.(sic)”
It has previously been claimed the ‘Hunt For Red October’ star had become visibly irate during the argument, before he allegedly threw a punch at the man, and was even heard telling the alleged victim – who was taken to hospital afterwards – to “f**k off”.
Alec – who has daughter Ireland, 23, with ex-wife Kim Basinger and Carmen, five, Rafael, three, Leonardo, two, and five-month-old Romeo with spouse Hilaria – has had been arrested in the past.
In May 2014, he was arrested for disorderly conduct after becoming belligerent and swearing at police when he was caught riding his bicycle the wrong way in traffic.
At the time, the former ’30 Rock’ star slammed New York City as a “mismanaged carnival of stupidity” and used Twitter to name the officer who arrested him.
The previous year, he apologised after being suspended from his talk show ‘Up Late’ for using a homophobic slur in an argument with a photographer.
In 2011, he was kicked off a flight after refusing to turn off his phone because he was playing popular game Words with Friends.
And in 1995 he was acquitted of misdemeanour battery charges after punching a photographer in self-defence.

Kit Harington admits Game of Thrones ending made him cry

OHMYGOSSIP — Kit Harington was reduced to tears by the end of ‘Game of Thrones’.
The 31-year-old actor – who plays Jon Snow on the HBO fantasy series – has admitted to being overcome with emotion during the show’s final-season table read.
Kit – who first cried while reading an episode – told Entertainment Weekly magazine: “The second time was the very end. Every season, you read at the end of the last script ‘End of Season One,’ or ‘End of Season Two.’ This read ‘End of Game of Thrones.'”
The London-born actor has starred on the acclaimed series since 2011, but Kit previously insisted he has “no desire” to return to the role, even though it took him a while to adjust once he’d wrapped work on the final season.
He said: “I have no desire to go back and do any more of that show … I have such a fond place I my heart for that show. For a good month afterwards I just burst into tears randomly. I can’t think of a better job to have in your 20s than to play Jon Snow.”
The final episodes of the programme air in 2019, but Kit hasn’t told anyone how the series ends – not even his wife and former co-star Rose Leslie.
He admitted: “I chose not to tell [Rose]. It’s quite exciting walking around knowing no one knows … for this I was like I’m not telling anyone. I don’t think she’s guessed it right yet.”
Kit also conceded he doesn’t think everyone will be happy with the ending when ‘Game of Thrones’ draws to a close.
He said: “I think a TV series that’s spanned eight, nine years is an incredibly difficult thing to end. I think not everyone’s going to be happy, you know, and you can’t please everyone.
“My favourite TV shows are ‘Sopranos’, ‘Breaking Bad’, and ‘The Wire’ and they all ended in a way that … It’s never going to satisfy you.”

The 28-year-old singer and Bella, 22 – who reunited earlier this year having split in 2016 – were seen being very affectionate towards each other while they were at Heidi Klum’s 19th Annual Halloween Party in the Big Apple.
An eyewitness told E! News: “They were in a booth with other people but basically had their arms wrapped around each other and were making out like crazy. They were holding each other and kissing often.”
Later in the evening, the loved-up pair were seen having fun together on the dance floor, where they spotted partying alongside the likes of Ice-T and Coco.
Bella – who is the younger sister of Gigi Hadid – is one of the world’s best-known models.
But the brunette beauty recently admitted to feeling “sexier” in sneakers than high-heeled shoes.
Bella confessed: “I’m definitely a sneakerhead, and I love matching sneakers with dresses and gowns. Even after the Versace show, I asked them if I could wear the dress that I wore in the show and they let me borrow the new sneakers that they have too.
“When I was 15 years old, my stepdad [David Foster] got his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and that was the first time I remember wearing sneakers to a huge event.
“I had this beautiful gown with my black run-down Converse. I even cut my own leather laces, and I think that’s when my love for tennis shoes really started.
“I feel sexier in a pair of tennis shoes than I do in heels.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Avril Lavigne thinks conspiracy theories about her having already died are “weird”.
The 34-year-old singer has been the subject of a surreal conspiracy theory for more than a decade, with fans claiming that the real Avril has been replaced by a doppelganger who has carried her career forwards – but the Canadian star has now laughed off the rumour.
During an interview with Kyle and Jackie O on Australia’s KISS 1065, Jackie asked: “What about … did you laugh at the rumours that went around where you no longer exist and there’s a clone of you?”
And Avril – who is said to have been replaced by a doppelganger whose real name is Melissa – replied: “Yeah, some people think that I’m not the real me, which is so weird! Like, why would they even think that?”
Meanwhile, Avril recently revealed she doesn’t regret her marriages.
The ‘Girlfriend’ hitmaker – who split from first husband Deryck Whibley in 2009 after three years of marriage and went on to wed Chad Kroeger in July 2013 before separating in September 2015 – revealed she “loves love” and is still on good terms with both of her former spouses.
She said: “I love love. The way I looked at it is I married my long-terms.”
Avril first met Chad when it was suggested by her then-manager that they should get into the recording studio together and they quickly fell in love.

OHMYGOSSIP — Chrissy Teigen sees Twitter as her “connection to the world”.
The 32-year-old model – who has kids Luna, two, and five-month-old Miles with her husband John Legend – has more than ten million followers on the micro-blogging platform and Chrissy has revealed why she loves giving her followers a behind-the-scenes insight into her life.
She shared: “People are like, ‘Why do you have time for all of these strangers?’ But that is my outside connection to the world.
“I genuinely love doing it. I always have. I enjoy talking to people and feeling like I know them and having this conversation.”
Chrissy briefly abandoned Twitter after she received threats following a message she posted about gun control.
But the American star still has no intention of biting her tongue on issues she feels passionately about.
She told Glamour magazine: “Our lives would be so much easier if we didn’t dabble in politics at all, but I don’t want that kind of life. For us, we are willing to take that risk, because we believe in it so passionately.”
Despite being a world-famous model, Chrissy has never been an especially ambitious person.
She confessed: “Maxim Hometown Hottie. That was the dream.”
However, her life changed when she was offered the opportunity to appear in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue – which she considers to be more wholesome than its reputation suggests.
She explained: “Sports Illustrated was so good for me, just because they put more focus on personality … I never thought about a man flipping these pages and looking at me and being like, ‘Yeah.’
“For me it was like, ‘I want to be the chick that I want other girls to see and be like.'”

The 51-year-old actress is a long-time friend of the 57-year-old star, and Julia has revealed how George’s upbeat attitude has helped them to bond over the years.
The Hollywood star told the Goop podcast: “George actually said once when we were talking about [it], ‘Doesn’t it stink sometimes when you’re just like, on a movie and everything’s great, but there’s like one person that just doesn’t get the vibe or you know?’
“So, we’re all kind of commiserating, ‘Oh, yes, we’ve all had that experience where one person just kind of doesn’t get it.’
“They’re just kind of blowing it for everything and he goes, ‘Yes, but what’s great about that person is you have somebody to talk about at the end of the night when you’re all having a drink before you go to bed.’ He is the sunny side up.”
Meanwhile, Julia recently claimed that age discrimination in the movie business is “bulls**t”.
Julia said: “I think that’s made-up bulls**t that at a certain age, the bell is going to ring and you are done, go on back home. It’s silly and I don’t think anybody buys into that.
“I don’t think I am special. I’ve always been fortunate that I have always found the work I am looking for. I mean, 30 years is a long time and I am grateful and satisfied.”
The ‘Homecoming’ actress also spoke about the gender pay gap, saying that although the problem still exists, it is getting better “every day”.
She explained: “I think there are places where people are really making those efforts in the right direction. So if it’s a little bit of time, then we have to take it and be happy for it.”

Kelly tweeted: “This just in…. I still hate working out. I’m sweaty, red, and not any thinner [laughing emoji] people say it’s good for your heart…. but people also say red wine is good for your heart. I mean, I’m just stating facts here people. Who am I to ignore science?! #cardioversuswine (sic)”
Kelly’s weight has been a source of interest for years, and the chart-topping star previously admitted she can remember it being an issue as far back as 2002.
The singer – who won the inaugural season of ‘American Idol’ – said: “I was the biggest girl in the show, too. And I wasn’t big, but people would call me big. Because I was the biggest one on ‘Idol’, I’ve kind of always gotten that.”
Despite this, the ‘Because of You’ hitmaker revealed she’s more worried about how her fans react to the negative comments than how it could damage her own self-esteem.
She shared: “I think what hurts my feelings for people is that I’ll have a meet and greet after the show and a girl who’s like bigger than me will be in the meet and greet and be like, ‘Wow, if they think you’re big I must be so fat to them.’

Sharon Osbourne gave Ozzy sleeping tablets to expose truth about affairs

OHMYGOSSIP — Sharon Osbourne gave her husband Ozzy extra sleeping pills to get him to admit to having an affair.
The 66-year-old TV star – who has been married to the rocker since 1982 – has revealed she gave Ozzy extra sleeping tablets in a bid to find out more about his affairs with other women.
She shared: “I was a broken woman. He sent me an email that was meant for one of his women.
“Then he took his sleeping pills. I put an extra two in his drink … and asked him everything, and everything came out.
“He would have never told me the truth, ever. He was ashamed, afraid. I knew how long. I knew who it was. I knew what he was thinking and then, you know, you leave.
“Ozzy told me it was over with this woman and I believed him. Then, six months later, I found out it wasn’t and there were others.”
Sharon and Ozzy, 69, split after it emerged he’d been having an affair with hairstylist Michelle Pugh.
And although they reunited just four months later, Sharon – who has kids Aimee, 35, Kelly, 34, and Jack, 32, with Ozzy – is still dealing with trust issues.
She told The Sun newspaper: “I don’t trust him. I worry about that. I don’t trust him as far as I can throw him. Nothing in the world hurts like infidelity. Nothing.”
Asked about her decision to stand by Ozzy, Sharon explained: “Nobody is going to want to ask me out. Who would ask me out? A big-mouth, older woman?
“This is as good as it gets and I love him. He’s my husband and I have to take care of him and you just become this woman that takes care of this person and this is my life. This is what I do.”

Chris Cornell’s widow suing his doctor over singer’s death

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Cornell’s widow is suing his doctor over his death.
Vicky Cornell has alleged Dr. Robert Koblin and his Beverly Hills office “negligently and repeatedly” prescribed the late singer – who took his own life last year aged 52 – “dangerous mind-altering controlled substances”.
In a lawsuit filed at the Los Angeles Superior Court, she claims such substances “clouded his judgement, and caused him to engage in dangerous impulsive behaviours that he was unable to control, costing him his life”.
According to the document, which has been obtained by TMZ, Vicky alleges the doctor prescribed Chris large amounts of anti-anxiety drug Lorazepam, which is also known as Ativan, during the last 20 months of his life, without examining the Soundgarden frontman.
Vicky is said to be suing the doctor for unspecified damages.
Chris was founded dead in his Detroit hotel room in May 2017 and his death was ruled as suicide.
Toxicology reports found traces of several drugs in his system, but a coroner’s report said the drugs were not the cause of the ‘You Know My Name’ hitmaker’s death.
This comes just a month after unveiled a statue in his honour at Seattle’s MoPOP Museum, and Vicky hailed her late husband as the “voice of a generation”.
She said: “He was the voice of a generation, and an artist that continues to draw us closer together, forever.
“I thank you for embracing and loving Chris so deeply. Thank you, Seattle, for the support and loudest love.”
Vicky herself had commissioned the statue and said it was her gift to “the tight-knit community that gave him his start.”

Kendall Jenner cried ‘a lot’ at school over Kylie having more friends

OHMYGOSSIP — Kendall Jenner used to “cry” at school because her sister Kylie Jenner had more friends than her.
The 22-year-old model has opened up about her insecurities growing up and how it bothered her that her 21-year-old sibling was more popular in the playground than her, and how even thinking about it now makes her “emotional”.
She recalled: “I remember there was a time when I was in middle school, even high school a little bit,
“didn’t have that many friends.
“I was sitting in my room a lot of days crying because Kylie had so many friends, and I didn’t know what to do, and it’s gonna make me emotional right now.”
Kendall used to go horse riding “all day” as it was the only thing she could do alone and not feel out of place.
She said: “I would just sit with my horses and I’d go ride all day. I’m not kidding.
“I ride from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. I would ride all my trainer horses because I had nothing better to do during the summer.”
Now the tables have turned and Kylie is a mother to her nine-month-old baby girl Stormi Webster – whom she has with husband Travis Scott – and Kendall admits it’s “weird” that she ended up having more friends than her sibling.
Speaking to with Daniel Chetrit on ZAZA WORLD RADIO on Beats 1, she said: “I really was like, ‘I’m never gonna have friends’, and to look at my life now. It’s so crazy.
“It’s crazy cause I really never thought that I would have more friends than Kylie … not that that’s ever a competition or should be anything we’d … I don’t want that to come off weird, but again, she’s so happy with the life she’s living.”
Kendall, who suffers with anxiety, says that her support network of friends and family act as her safety net from the intense spotlight, and she wouldn’t be able to cope without them.
She admitted: “I think that if I didn’t have you guys, my homies, and my family around me, the people that I love so much, I would not have the same security within myself to be able to look at those comments and not care about them.”
The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star recently revealed she is seeking the help of a counsellor, who told her she needs a “better work/life balance”.
She also shared a clip on Instagram, captioning it: “learning to cope with anxiety isn’t easy, but sometimes opening up about the journey really does help (sic)”
And the reality star previously opened up about her anxiety, admitting she is a “hypochondriac”.
She said: “Since I was a kid, I’ve always been a hypochondriac. I’ve always been the worst hypochondriac. But now I have to try and be a big girl.”

Gwyneth Paltrow suffering hormonal mood swings

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwyneth Paltrow has been suffering from “hormonal” mood swings and intense sweating as she begins the menopause.
The 46-year-old actress has opened up about how entering the pre-stages of the change – when the ovaries gradually begin to make less estrogen – causes her to go from being happy one minute to suddenly “furious for no reason”.
Speaking in a video on her multi-million pound lifestyle platform Goop, she shared: “I think when you get into perimenopause, you notice a lot of changes. I can feel the hormonal shifts happening.
“The sweating, the moods – you know you’re just all of a sudden furious for no reason.”
Gwyneth feels that society’s perception of the menopause is “bad” and she would like to see some “rebranding” take place to make it appear less of a “grieving” experience for women.
The ‘Shallow Hal’ star – who has Apple, 14, and Moses, 12, with first husband Chris Martin – added: “I think menopause gets a really bad rap and needs a bit of rebranding.
“I remember when my mother [actress Blythe Danner] went through menopause and it was such a big deal and I think there was grief around it for her.
“I don’t think we have in our society a great example of an aspirational menopausal woman.”
Meanwhile, Gwyneth recently opened up about how important a “satisfying sex life” is.
The ‘Iron Man’ star – who tied the knot with TV writer Brad Falchuk in The Hamptons last month – said it’s vital to shine a light on female sexuality and talked about how empowering and “healthy” it is to partake in and openly discuss love-making.
She said: “Women, I think have a lot of shame around their sexuality – we have been conditioned that way for a long time. We feel if we open up conversations, sell a product and we shine a light on it, the shame starts to dissipate…”

Corey Taylor opens up about addiction

OHMYGOSSIP — Corey Taylor is starting to “make peace with the fact” he is “an addict”.
The Slipknot frontman – who has three kids Angelina, 26, Griffin, 16, and daughter Aravis – has opened up about his battle with addiction, admitting he “dealing with the crazy things” in his life, but he is “embracing” being alive.
Corey – who has previously spoken about suffering from depression and being a victim of sexual abuse – said: “I’m looking to the world through clearer eyes. I’m also just starting to make peace with the fact that there are dark pieces of my chapters that I’ve had to relinquish and let go of. I’ve said, ‘Look, if it wasn’t for all these dark things happening to me, I wouldn’t be the guy I am right now.’
“This has made me deal with the fact that I am an addict. It’s made me deal with the fact that I’m in my 40s, I’ve got kids, and I need to take care of them.
“I’m dealing with all of these crazy things in my life that make me ‘me’, and yet I should be embracing the fact that I’m alive. I should be embracing fact that I’m a father, I should be embracing the fact that I’m in two great bands.”
The 44-year-old singer admits he wasn’t a big “fan” of himself until “the last year or so”, but he is learning to appreciate himself a lot more with the help of his friends.
Speaking on Apple’s Beats 1 radio station, he added: “It’s good, man. It’s allowed me to get out of my own way and enjoy life. Get out of my own head and enjoy the things that I have.
“It doesn’t mean that it’s the death of desire or anything like that, but it’s allowed me to really take advantage of the time I have right now and like the person who I am.
“I was never a huge Corey Taylor fan, until maybe the last year or so. I was like, ‘What? There’s a lot about me that’s really, really cool.’ I’ve luckily had a lot of great people around me to encourage that and go, ‘We’ve been saying that for years.’ ”
In 2017, Corey admitted he suffered from “bouts of severe depression”, but he was trying to cut out alcohol and “stay healthy enough”.
He said: “I exercise. I try to stay healthy as much as possible. I’ve tried to cut out all the negative s**t in my life, as far as chemicals, boozing, all that s**t.
“I’ve tried to focus on the s**t that matters, which is my career, my kids, my creativity, and just trying to stay healthy enough, because I want to be able to do them for a very long time. So I guess that’s kept the emotions at bay.
“It doesn’t always work. I do have bouts of severe depression, which are very, very hard to deal with sometimes.”
