Richard Madden confirms Bodyguard 2 talks

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Madden has confirmed he is to start talks about a second series of ‘Bodyguard’.
The former ‘Game of Thrones’ star is planning to meet up with the BBC One drama show’s creator Jed Mercurio in the next few weeks to discuss where the programme can go, and he isn’t sure where the 52-year-old writer might like to take his character, personal protection officer David Budd.
He said: “I’m going to meet Jed in a couple of weeks, to have a chat and see what’s in his brilliant brain.
“So I’m like, what can happen next? You know, with David. Because he had a hell of a couple months there. Where do you go with this guy?”
But Richard admits he could see a ‘Bodyguard’ revival whereby all of the same actors return – including Keeley Hawes, who played Home Secretary Julia Montague in the drama – but play different parts, in a similar vein to US horror series ‘American Horror Story’.
He said: “I also thought, maybe it’s going to be like ‘American Horror Story’ where, in the second series, it’s a whole different incarnation of it, and I’m a royal and Keeley is on my protection team.
“And you get all the rest of the actors back, and we all do different things. But who knows what’s in Jed’s mind. I’m very keen to hear.
“Also I think, you know, David Budd, he walks about London with a bomb on. I mean, everyone definitely knows his face now. He can’t really slip back into police work again. What’s his life like after that?”
However, Richard admitted he could see the programme only lasting for one series, because he believes TV is “moving away” from the idea of a successful show spanning multiple seasons.
He added to Deadline: “Yeah, a really contained little adventure. I think that’s a brilliant thing.
“It’s great, you’ve gone on a big old journey during that. And you go, ‘Right, OK, that’s great. Peace.’
“But I suppose it’s the landscape of TV; maybe we’re moving away from, ‘Oh, it’s good, let’s make nine series of it.’
“Are we going, ‘Oh, it’s good, let’s do something different next?’ I’m just really glad it got people watching television, nationally. You know, lots of people watching the same thing.”
‘Bodyguard’ was watched by more than 17 million over 28 days during its time on the BBC, making the programme the largest audience for a TV show that wasn’t a sporting or national event since 2010.

Paddy McGuinness seeking posing tips for Top Gear

OHMYGOSSIP — Paddy McGuinness is going to seek professional advice on how to “pose” better for his new role co-hosting ‘Top Gear’.
The ‘Take Me Out’ presenter will join former cricket star Freddie Flintoff as the new hosts of the BBC motoring show, and he has admitted after two decades on the small screen, he now wants to learn how to be less “awkward” on camera.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: “Twenty years I have been in the TV game and I still can’t manage to pose decently. I just can’t do it.
“I don’t want my awkwardness to be a let-down. I’ll defo be getting some tips for it.”
The pair will replace Matt LeBlanc after the next series of the iconic car show.
Paddy said: “Getting the ‘Top Gear’ gig is a real honour and I’m thrilled the BBC have given me this opportunity.
“To be hosting a show I’ve watched and loved from being a small boy is beyond exciting.”
Freddie, 40 – who has appeared on numerous programmes since his retirement from cricket – was similarly excited by the opportunity.
He shared: “It’s not often you have the chance to do both of your dream jobs, but I’m now lucky enough to say I will have.
“I’ve always been passionate about cars and I’m so excited to be joining the ‘Top Gear’ team.”
Matt, 51, is set to quit the show after the next series, while Chris Harris will remain with the programme and Rory Reid will be moved to the spin-off show ‘Extra Gear’.
BBC bosses reportedly hope that by adding Paddy and Freddie to the presenting team, they’ll be able to “bring a new energy” to the show, which was previously hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.
An insider said: “This news will have car manufacturers and the BBC’s insurance department on high alert.
“The BBC’s top bosses and everyone else involved in the casting were bowled over by Paddy and Freddie – they are utterly infectious and will bring a new energy and competitive spirit to the show.”
Matt – who is best-known for his starring role in ‘Friends’ – announced he was quitting ‘Top Gear’ earlier this year, having joined the show in 2016.

Gladiator sequel in works

OHMYGOSSIP — A ‘Gladiator’ sequel is in the works.
Sir Ridley Scott is said to be moving forward with plans for a follow-up to the highly successful movie – which earned 11 Academy Award nominations and five wins, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Russell Crowe – with the 80-year-old filmmaker keen to direct the motion picture.
Sources have told Deadline that Scott – who helmed the original – and his Scott Free Productions company are working on the possibility of a follow up to the 2000 epic historical drama, with Paramount set to develop the project.
The film will tell the story of Lucius, the son of Lucilla, played by Connie Nielsen in the original, and the nephew of evil Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix).
Last year, Scott teased plans for a possible ‘Gladiator’ sequel, admitting he had thought of a way to bring Crowe’s character Maximus back from beyond the grave.
He said: “I know how to bring him back. I was having this talk with the studio – ‘but he’s dead.’ But there is a way of bringing him back.
“Whether it will happen I don’t know. ‘Gladiator’ was 2000, so Russell’s changed a little bit. He’s doing something right now but I’m trying to get him back down here.”
What’s more, Nick Cave previously wrote his own script for a sequel in which Maximus was brought back from the dead.
He said: “[Crowe] rang me up and asked if I wanted to write ‘Gladiator 2’.For someone who had only written one film script, it was quite an ask.
“‘Hey Russell, didn’t you die in ‘Gladiator’?’ ‘Yeah, you sort that out.’
“So, he goes down to purgatory and is sent down by the gods, who are dying in heaven because there’s this one god, there’s this Christ character, down on Earth who is gaining popularity and so the many gods are dying so they send Gladiator back to kill Christ and his followers.”
The original ‘Gladiator’ movie – which was made by DreamWorks – also featured Oliver Reed, who passed away from a heart attack in 1999 during a break in filming.
As a result, the movie had to be completed using CGI technology for his character, and the late star was posthumously nominated for a Best Supporting Actor prize at the 2001 Oscars.

Allen Leech teases tear-jerking Downton Abbey movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Allen Leech says the ‘Downton Abbey’ movie will reduce fans to “tears”.
The 37-year-old actor played Tom Branson in the award-winning historical drama series and has teased what fans can expect from creator Julian Fellowes’ big screen adaptation.
He said: “It’s Julian – you’re going to have tears. He’s never too saccharine-sweet, so be prepared for everything.”
The Irish star also admitted he was “surprised” by the storyline Julian chose, but heaped praise on the Oscar-winner for managing to find a fitting tale for all “22” members of the cast.
Allen said: “I was very surprised about the angle that Julian went with.
“But then again, I was also amazed that he managed to get the entire 22-[member] cast to have their own story within the contained two-hour movie.
“He’s done an amazing job.”
The ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ star says fans of the TV show have no need to worry about how it will transpire from a small screen series to a feature film, as he teased it’s one “big, epic story”.
According to Variety, he said: “It’s a big, epic story that’s definitely going to fill the big screen.
“That was our worry about taking the show from the small screen to the big screen.
“But you have Julian Fellowes, who won an Oscar for writing, and he’s done a great job with the story.”
Screenwriter Julian has already enjoyed success in the movie business, with his 2001 film ‘Gosford Park’ winning the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.
But he admitted that transitioning from TV to cinema does present some big challenges.
He said recently: “[In a series] we usually give the big stories to maybe three characters a week … By the end of the series everyone would have big stories and it would all be plaited together.
“In a film you can’t do that. Every character you include you must have their own story. The viewer can judge whether or not I have been successful, I wouldn’t make any claims.
“I had to make sure every story of every character was completed within the movie. That did take a certain amount jiggery-pokery, but I am pleased with where we came to and very pleased with the reassembled cast.”
And Julian said reuniting with the cast on the set was a “very happy” moment.
He said: “It was a very happy time for us all. It was a big hit all over the world.
It was a very nice cast and I think they made a lot of good friends among them so there was something of a reunion like the first day back at school … a very happy school.”
Allen and Julian star alongside cast mates including Dame Maggie Smith, Michelle Dockery, Hugh Bonneville and Laura Carmichael in the forthcoming movie, which is to hit cinemas on September 20, 2019.

Eddie Jordan backs new Top Gear hosts

OHMYGOSSIP — Eddie Jordan has backed Freddie Flintoff and Paddy McGuinness to make a success of co-hosting ‘Top Gear’.
The former Formula 1 team boss was previously part of the show’s presenting team alongside Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc, but he thinks the new hosts will “be great” on the programme, because the series “thrives on British humour”.
He said: “I’m a huge fan of Freddie, I think he’ll be great. What they know about F1 is different but having had Jeremy, then Chris, then Matt, I think ‘Top Gear’ thrives on British humour.”
Paddy and Freddie will co-host ‘Top Gear’ alongside Chris Harris, and Eddie believes the show’s producers would have chosen the pair because they are “the best two” for the job.
When asked if he is concerned the line-up isn’t diverse, he told Metro newspaper: “The producers have come up with a duo that works for each other, with a bit of edge.
“In terms of nationality, race, gender, I’m sure those things were considered. It’s probably been decided that, in the interests of the best programme, they’ve picked the best two.”
Paddy recently admitted it is an “honour” for him to present the show after watching the programme – which has aired since 2002 – from a young age.
He said: “Getting the ‘Top Gear’ gig is a real honour and I’m thrilled the BBC have given me this opportunity.
“To be hosting a show I’ve watched and loved from being a small boy is beyond exciting.”
Former pro cricketer Freddie added: “It’s not often you have the chance to do both of your dream jobs, but I’m now lucky enough to say I will have.
“I’ve always been passionate about cars and I’m so excited to be joining the ‘Top Gear’ team.”
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May previously co-hosted the programme before Matt and Chris.

KISS farewell tour to marry technology with emotion

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Stanley says KISS’ farewell tour will marry “the most modern technology” with an “emotional component”.
The 66-year-old guitarist has teased fans they will get “very emotional” on the band’s forthcoming ‘End of the Road’ run of shows, and insisted the group will “leave the touring circuit like no other band”.
He said: “This is going to marry technology – the most modern technology – with an emotional component. Because this is a retrospective.
“This isn’t us going on another tour – this is going out there and sharing an evening with people who have impacted our lives as much as we’ve impacted theirs.
“What’s always made KISS different than most bands is the reciprocity, what we share with people.
“So there’s an emotional component, but make no mistake: if explosions are emotional, you’re gonna be very emotional, because the lights, the sound, the pyro, the lasers – we’ve got it all this time, and we will leave the touring circuit like no other band.”
Paul claims fans who come and see one of their farewell gigs will leave “dazzled, blinded, and deafened”, and he insists some supporters will depart their shows wishing they had seen the group earlier in their careers.
Speaking on ‘Extra’, he added: “We get to go around the world, say ‘thank you’ to the people who have seen us before, and also let people who haven’t seen us know this is the last chance.
“You’re gonna regret that you haven’t come onboard sooner. But I’ll tell you one thing, you’re gonna leave dazzled, blinded, deafened and just a part of this KISS world.”
KISS – who are also made up of Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer – announced the first 44 dates of their tour earlier this week, revealing they will kick off the run of gigs with a show on January 31 in Vancouver, Canada.

Saint West and Reign Disick’s Kanye West and Lil Pump tribute

OHMYGOSSIP — Saint West and his cousin Reign Disick dressed up as Kanye West and Lil Pump for Halloween.
The ‘All Day’ rapper and his wife Kim Kardashian West’s two-year-old son and their nephew – whose parents are the reality star’s sister Kourtney Kardashian and ex Scott Disick – donned the oversized box suits the rappers wore in their music video for ‘I Love It’ to mark the spookiest day of the year (31.10.18).
The costumes came complete with Yeezy shoes and Saint rocked Ye’s signature ‘Donda’ neck chain.
Kim simply captioned the picture of the pair: “I love it.”
Kourtney also shared the series of images, which also showed the tots dressed in giant bottles.
Saint posed in a Perrier bottle and Reign, three, Fiji sparkling water, just like Kanye and the 18-year-old hip-hop star did during their performance of the song on ‘Saturday Night Live’ recently.
Kim also posted a video of the pair in them in their first costume as she tried to get them to smile for the camera.
In a bid to get Reign to stop giggling, Kim can be heard saying, “No cheese”, and the pair of them hilariously fell over due to the weight of the costumes.
Proud Kanye also shared a picture of his son imitating him on Twitter, and wrote: “Scoop.”
Meanwhile, Kim and her sisters, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, channelled Victoria’s Secret Angels by donning sexy white wings gifted from the designer brand and sparkly crystal heels for a Halloween photo shoot.
The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star shared a sneak preview of her look on the social media app and joked that her model half-sibling Kendall – who will walk alongside Gigi Hadid and the angels in this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show – got some “practice” in.
She wrote: “Thank you @VictoriasSecret for sending us actual runway looks and real wings to borrow for the night!!! OMG a dream come true! Got to be a Victoria Secret Angel for the night! & Kendall got good practice lol. (sic)”

Heather Locklear to be sued over attacking paramedic

OHMYGOSSIP — Heather Locklear is to be sued by the paramedic she attacked whilst intoxicated in June.
The 57-year-old star was arrested and later charged for two counts of battery on a police officer and emergency personnel over the summer.
TMZ now reports that the medical technician is preparing to file a lawsuit, claiming she was forced to find work in an office because of the head and neck injuries she sustained from the incident.
In the legal papers, signed off by attorney Kevin Flahavan, Heather is also accused of being “verbally abusive”.
Heather was said to have been heavily intoxicated when police were alerted to the situation by a family member, and was visibly angry when the law enforcement officers arrived at the scene, sources said at the time.
The ‘Dynasty’ actress had to be separated from members of her family by a deputy, and she then reportedly threw a punch in the midst of the fracas.
Paramedics arrived on the scene and they put Heather on a gurney – but she allegedly responded to their assistance by kicking the paramedic.
Heather was initially taken to hospital to receive treatment, and she was later taken to jail, where she was booked and held on $20,000 bail.
Earlier that month, Heather was hospitalised after she threatened to shoot herself.
The ‘Melrose Place’ actress was reported to have been taken into hospital after a family member called 911 over concerns the star was threatening to take her own life.
Law enforcement sources claimed an unnamed family member phoned police out of concern for Heather’s safety, and both the Ventura County Fire and Sheriff’s Departments responded at the star’s home.
The caller claimed the actress was acting erratically and threatening to hurt herself, and was allegedly looking for her firearm.
Prior to that, Heather was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic battery for allegedly assaulting boyfriend Chris Heisser at her California home on February 25.
She was also arrested on four counts of misdemeanor battery on a police officer and one charge of resisting or obstructing a police officer after she was said to have lashed out at the cops who were called to attend the incident.

Chris Gascoyne ‘not afraid’ of letting emotions out

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Gascoyne is “not afraid” to let his emotions out while portraying Coronation Street’s Peter Barlow.
The 50-year-old actor thinks it is “a positive thing” to show emotion on the ITV soap because it is “really important” to portray a vulnerable side to Peter, as well as his hard-man attributes.
He said: “Sometimes actors don’t want to be seen as weak.
“But I think those things … I’m 50 … I’m not afraid to let my emotions out whatever they are, because that’s a positive thing.
“To be able to show a character’s more vulnerable side is really important rather than having to hold it all in, and play a one-dimensional macho character.”
Chris – who has played recovering alcoholic Peter on the soap since 2000 – believes he has become “braver” in his acting ability as he has grown older.
He added to Acumen magazine: “We all have many facets to our personalities, and I think as I’ve gotten older I’ve become braver in what I will do and show.”
Chris may need to play out many emotions next spring after it was recently reported Peter and his son Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) will be caught up in a terrifying boat blaze, which will leave their lives “hanging in the balance”.
A TV source said: “There’s a massive fire on a boat on the canal and Simon is inside.
“Peter and Simon’s lives hang in the balance. It’s going to be a huge stunt. They’re planning massive pyrotechnics and special FX.”
The inferno will roar on the Weatherfield Canal, but Peter will manage to rescue his son by chucking him onto the towpath.

Jack P. Shepherd does Colson Smith’s washing

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack P. Shepherd does Colson Smith’s washing for him, which has earned him the nickname “dad”.
The ‘Coronation Street’ co-stars live together in a plush Manchester flat, and 30-year-old star – who plays David Platt on the ITV soap – admitted he spends so much time teaching his 20-year-old pal (Craig Tinker) “about life”, the pair joke that Jack is Colson’s father.
He said: “I live with Colson – and that’s a challenge. I have to teach him about life and things, and I do his washing.
“He’s like my little project – my nickname is ‘Dad’.”
But Jack admits he enjoys living his life much more so than his alter-ego David, who has endured a traumatic year which has seen him raped and suffering from suicidal thoughts.
He said: “David’s had a terrible year full of darkness and drama, but I’ve had a great year, getting to do this brilliant storyline.
“Our lives are very different, so it’s nice to go home and live my life.”
Jack’s portrayal of David’s horrific 2018 was rewarded at the Inside Soap Awards last month when he scooped the Best Actor award – and he is planning to use the prize as a door stop.
He added to Inside Soap magazine: “It’s quite weighty, so it might be good for keeping the balcony door open.”
Earlier this year, Jack hinted his time on the soap could be up in the near future after admitting he had played out “every single storyline” as David.
He said: “I’ve been in the show for 18 years now and played every single storyline you could possibly play.
After a while the character must come to terms with what has happened to them and move on, then you can live out other stories. David has been through a lot. He’s a resilient character. There are things that he’s got over and come out the other side.”

Ray Fisher: I want Zack Snyder to direct Cyborg movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Ray Fisher wants Zack Snyder to direct the ‘Cyborg’ solo movie.
The 31-year-old actor made his first appearances as the robotic DC superhero in 2016’s ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’, and again in last year’s ‘Justice League’, and has said he’d love frequent DC movie helmer Zack to come back to the franchise to direct his character’s solo film.
Speaking to DC World, Ray said: “I did know about being a part of ‘Justice League’. Zack explained what the overall plan for me was at the time and that there was the potential of a ‘Cyborg’ standalone down the line. Assuming the story would be grounded and compelling, I’d love to do a solo film. I think ‘Cyborg’ has the potential for a superhero film unlike any we’ve seen before. If Zack were to ever come back to direct another DC film, he’d be my top pick to direct.”
Zack helmed ‘Batman v Superman’ and contributed to the directing of ‘Justice League’ too, but stepped down from his role when the movie was in post-production after his daughter Autumn took her own life in March 2017.
Joss Whedon stepped in to replace Zack for the remainder of the movie’s time in post-production.
At the time, Zack said: “In my mind, I thought it was a cathartic thing to go back to work, to just bury myself and see if that was the way through it. The demands of this job are pretty intense. It is all-consuming. And in the last two months, I’ve come to the realisation … I’ve decided to take a step back from the movie to be with my family, be with my kids, who really need me. They are all having a hard time. I’m having a hard time … Here’s the thing, I never planned to make this public. I thought it would just be in the family, a private matter, our private sorrow that we would deal with. When it became obvious that I need to take a break, I knew there would be narratives created on the internet. They’ll do what they do. The truth is … I’m past caring about that kind of thing now.”
Meanwhile, the future of a ‘Cyborg’ solo movie is still up in the air, as although the film has been given a 2020 release date, no real movement has happened on the project in several months.
Ray previously said: “If we keep making noise, it can happen. It’s about what the people want. And that’s what people understand, that’s what they recognise.”

Black Panther to get Hollywood Film Award

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Black Panther’ is set to be honoured with the Hollywood Film Award.
The Marvel Studios blockbuster hit – which was directed by Ryan Coogler and starred Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, and Lupita Nyong’o – will be awarded the eponymously titled gong at this year’s Hollywood Film Awards, which will take place on Sunday (04.11.18).
The organisation announced the news in a press release, which stated the movie has become a “cultural phenomenon”, as it helped to bring “diversity and representation” to Hollywood through its predominantly black cast.
A statement in the release reads: “‘Black Panther’ became a cultural phenomenon that has broken boundaries and created a movement, gracing the cover of Time Magazine. ‘Black Panther’ had the highest grossing non-sequel opening weekend of all time, showing that diversity and representation in front of and behind the camera can equal global box office success.”
The continued success of the movie comes after it was recently revealed that filmmaker Ryan, 32, is set to return to helm the project’s sequel, after having already secured a deal with Marvel.
Ryan and Marvel have both been keen to reunite for a sequel, but the timing of the production has always been an uncertainty.
But now, sources are saying that Ryan will write the script next year with the ambition of starting production in either late 2019 or early 2020.
Meanwhile, Ryan previously revealed Marvel was totally supportive of his ambitions for the original ‘Black Panther’ movie, even though it represented a step into unknown territory for the studio.
Ryan explained that Marvel didn’t make any efforts to dilute his plans for the film.
The director – who also helmed 2015’s ‘Creed’ – explained: “The biggest thing for me was the themes of the story – letting them know where my head was at and making sure they would get on board.
“I was very honest about the idea I wanted to explore in this film, which is what it means to be African. That was one of the first things I talked about. And they were completely interested.”

Martin Lawrence confirms Bad Boys return

OHMYGOSSIP — Martin Lawrence has confirmed his return to the ‘Bad Boys’ franchise.
The 53-year-old actor starred as Detective Marcus Burnett in the 1995 film ‘Bad Boys; and its 2003 sequel ‘Bad Boys II’, and he has now confirmed he is on board for the upcoming third instalment of the saga, ‘Bad Boys for Life’.
Martin took to Instagram to post a picture of himself next to 50-year-old Will Smith – who starred alongside Martin as Detective Mike Lowry, and who will also be returning – and said the third movie was now “official”.
He wrote: “It’s official. Bad Boys for Life. #teammartymar #badboysforlife @willsmith #weback (sic)”
For Martin, the return marks the first time he’s been in a movie since 2011’s ‘Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son’, and the first time he’s acted at all since appearing in the 2014 TV series ‘Partners’.
‘Bad Boys for Life’ has been discussed for years and suffered several false dawns, largely due to Will’s hectic schedule, but last month, it was reported that Sony Pictures were on the cusp of giving the movie the green light.
Production is set to begin on the movie in early 2019, with the film having been handed a tentative release date of January 2020.
Meanwhile, Will previously revealed he was certain that he and Martin would be reuniting for the third ‘Bad Boys’ movie.
Speaking in 2016, the Hollywood star shared: “I saw Martin a few weeks ago.
“I haven’t seen him for about two years. We just looked at each other. We hugged. In that moment, we knew we were making another ‘Bad Boys.’ We’re definitely doing another one.”

Stormzy promises ‘groundbreaking’ second album

OHMYGOSSIP — Stormzy says his next album will be “groundbreaking”.
The 25-year-old grime star – who topped the charts with his debut album ‘Gang Signs & Prayer’ last year – has been working hard on the follow-up and fans should be expecting big things from his second LP.
He told BBC Newsbeat: “I’ve been quiet recently but do you know why – I’ve been locked in the studio…
“To me, music is a soul-bearing process. So when I create an album or any piece of music I put every bit of strength inside my body into it.
“This time around I feel like I’ve created my best work ever. It’s groundbreaking.”
The rapper admitted he’s even been too busy to get his hair and beard trimmed while he’s been focused on his studio time.
He added: “When I’m ready to release the music that’s when you’ll see the haircut and beard shaped-up.”
While he’s working towards his next record, the ‘Blinded By Your Grace’ hitmaker has launched his own publishing imprint #Merky Books to tackle diversity.
A collaboration with Penguin Random House, the new project has started with ‘Rise Up’ which tells his own ascent to the top, and will be used to give black authors a platform.
He explained: “I saw people who looked like me, the same age as me, from similar areas, who are great at their craft but didn’t have the opportunity for becoming published authors.
“And I thought to myself, ‘I’m in a position where I could create something that helps them’ – and that’s what I’m doing.”

Michael Jackson is highest earning dead celebrity

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Jackson is the highest paid dead celebrity for the sixth year in a row.
The late King of Pop – who sadly died in June 2009 aged 50 – reportedly pulled in around £313 million over the last year, which was boosted by the sale of his EMI Music Publishing stake to Sony.
Earnings will also have been helped by ‘Michael Jackson’s Halloween’ – an animated TV special which first aired in 2017 – according to Forbes magazine.
John Branca, the Jackson estate’s co-executor, said: “You see ‘Charlie Brown Christmas’ and ‘Charlie Brown Thanksgiving’ every year, so now we’re looking to have ‘Michael Jackson’s Halloween’ every year. We hope that it’ll become evergreen.”
Meanwhile, rock ‘n’ roll legend Elvis Presley – who died aged 42 in 1977 – follows in second place having made £31 million over 2017.
As well as record sales, the star’s earnings also come from the new ‘Elvis Presley’s Memphis’ entertainment complex created at his famous Graceland home.
The new development is described on the official website as: “A state-of-the-art entertainment and exhibit complex over 200,000-square-feet in size, [which] enables you to follow the life path that Elvis took, surround yourself with the things that he loved, and experience the sights and sounds of the city that inspired him.”
Fellow musicians Bob Marley, Prince and John Lennon all found themselves in the top 10, which also features golfer Arnold Palmer, ‘Charlie Brown’ creator Charles Schulz, children’s author Dr. Seuss, ‘Playboy’ founder Hugh Hefner and big screen icon Marilyn Monroe.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: Doing my own make up is relaxing

OHMYGOSSIP — Rosie Huntington-Whiteley finds it “relaxing” doing her own make up.
The 31-year-old model is used to being made up by the world’s best make up artists for her photoshoots but she really enjoys getting the chance to do her own too.
She said: “I guess it would be subject to opinion, but I think I’m ok at doing my own make-up! And I really love doing it, I enjoy that time. For me it’s relaxing – although it’s been a little compromised since having a child! I like to put music on, I like to lay out all the products that I’m using, I like to source inspiration and copy a look I’ve seen… It’s as much fun as going out, the time at home preparing for the evening! I feel I can do some easy go-to looks for myself, and then I lean towards the experts for red carpet. But going out for dinner with my man, or going out to meet my girlfriends, or going to a meeting, I do my own make-up.”
And the mother-of-one – who welcomed son Jack into the world last year – admits having a baby has completely changed how she approaches her make up and skincare.
Asked how motherhood has changed her routine, she added to Vogue.co.uk: “I think it’s changed because I have way less time to spend on myself! Like now when I’m doing my beauty routine I have a little visitor in my bathroom who also likes to play with all my products and pour them out all over the floor. Your time is compromised. Before, perhaps there was a whimsical time of getting ready before work when you could really indulge in the whole process – like a 45-minute shower and 20 minutes deciding what to wear. Now whatever time you have, you have to make use of it. Often now I have a choice between make-up or hair. And I spend a lot more time in my gym gear!”
