Alien: Awakening could see the return of the Engineers

OHMYGOSSIP — A sequel to ‘Alien: Covenant’ could see the return of the Engineers.
It is not known for sure whether there are plans in place to make the next instalment in the ‘Alien’ franchise – which is set to be called ‘Alien: Awakening’ – but if it does get made, fans are expected to see the Prometheus’ Engineers back in the movie.
In a special Empire Classics Alien Special magazine issue, they shared: “Logan’s script would have seen the return of Prometheus’ Engineers, with that species’ survivors coming after the genocidal David. Setting-wise, Scott said it was obvious, ‘We’re gonna actually go to the planet,’ by which we assume he means LV-426.”
Meanwhile, Sir Ridley Scott previously revealed he would like to do more ‘Alien’ movies but with more focus on artificial intelligence.
Speaking about the future of his prequel series, he said: “We are [going to make another], we are. I think what we have to do is gradually drift away from the alien stuff. People say, ‘you need more alien, you need more face pulling, need more chest bursting’, so I put a lot of that in ‘Covenant’ and it fitted nicely. But I think if you go again you need to start finding another solution that’s more interesting. I think AI is becoming much more dangerous and therefore more interesting. [Michael] Fassbender was an AI. Ian Holm [‘Alien’] was an AI; Roy Batty [‘Blade Runner’] was an AI; so was Rachael [‘Blade Runner’].”

Robbie Williams releasing new single before Christmas

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams will release a new single before Christmas.
The ‘Candy’ hitmaker has teamed up with French DJ Bob Sinclar on ‘Erotico Romantico’ – which will be his first new material since 2017’s ‘The Heavy Entertainment Show’ – and it’s set to drop early next month.
Bob – whose real name is Christophe Le Friant – told the Daily Star newspaper: “It’s a little funky. It’s not disco but it’s quite slow, and it’s very festive with violin arrangements.
“It has a bit of the spirit of Jamiroquai, early 90s, it’s different. It’s like 100bpm, a very funky piece.
“The guy is just crazy. It was a dream for me to do something with him.”
It’s thought the ‘X Factor’ judge could debut the track – which will be released the first week of December – on the ITV singing competition.
Explaining how the collaboration came about, Bob said: “We met at a charity gala by chance.
“I did a set for the audience, he came up to me to say: ‘We have to do something together’. I told him: ‘Let’s go.’ ”
The two stars worked together in a studio in London, and the song should give both sets of fans something very different.
The DJ added: “It’s good to make music with the heart and this is where people say to themselves: ‘Bob Sinclar, he does not follow trends – it makes us discover new sounds.’ ”
Bob’s comments about the upcoming single follow Robbie’s recent announcement that he will have his own Las Vegas residency in March 2019.
He said: “I’m beyond excited to announce my first ever residency in Las Vegas. To follow in the footsteps of some of the greatest entertainers of all time is a dream come true – I can’t wait.”

Kate Brush replaces Rolf Harris on LP remaster

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Bush has replaced Rolf Harris on the remastered version of her 2005 album ‘Aerial’.
The singer has taken the disgraced entertainer and convicted sex offender – who was jailed in 2014 – from her track ‘A Sky of Honey’, and instead his singing and spoken word parts have been performed by her son Bertie.
Regarding the song on the CD and vinyl reissue of the LP, a spokesman for Katie confirmed: “The role of the painter has been taken by Bertie since the live shows, including the live album.
“This group of remastered albums is the definitive presentation of Kate’s work to date.”
Harris was found guilty of 12 counts of sexual assault in 2014, and it his voice is still on versions of the song available on streaming services.
The Australian also played the didgeridoo on the album, which he also did on her 1982 LP ‘The Dreaming’.
It’s not been revealed whether another musician will re-record those parts, or if the instrumentation will be left intact.
Meanwhile, ‘Wuthering Heights’ singer Kate’s album ‘The Sensual World’ is one of a host of classic records getting a blue vinyl re-release in aid of UNICEF.
It’s been announced that only 50 copies of each will be available, with one of them up for bid in an auction, and another going into a huge set including every LP.

Lili Reinhart’s journey to self-confidence

OHMYGOSSIP — Lili Reinhart is taking her journey to self-confidence “day by day”.
The 22-year-old actress has become known for speaking out against body-shaming after receiving numerous comments on social media about her fluctuating weight, and has said that whilst she’s still not completely confident with the way she looks, she understands it won’t “happen overnight”.
She said: “I feel like in being in the spotlight, you’re forced to see your insecurities mirrored back at you, because you have hundreds of people pointing out your flaws. Or things that you don’t like about yourself or things that you’re self-conscious about, you’re having people that you don’t know judge that, and it’s hard.
“Finding your confidence in a world where you’re being judged by every move that you make is not easy. I think it’s, for me, it’s taking it day by day. Confidence doesn’t happen overnight and it takes a while to sometimes accept yourself for how you are. But I have over time, kind of like, it’s kind of like … how do I want to say this … debunking, it’s kind of like debunking Hollywood.”
And the ‘Riverdale’ star insists Hollywood stars should be looked at with a pinch of salt, because although they might seem “perfect”, they rarely are.
Speaking to Vogue magazine, she added: “You see these beautiful perfect people in front of you, shoved down your throat all the time, when in reality, such a small amount of people look like that, or act like that, or have that body, so it’s kind of unrealistic for us to be comparing ourselves to these quote ‘perfect people’ if that makes sense. It’s a matter of realising the world around you and that Hollywood kind of puts a filter across everything to make it look more attractive than it really is.
“What you don’t see is them at the end of the day when they don’t have all of that. Like even me, right now I’m sitting on my couch, my hair, I haven’t washed my hair in two days and I don’t have any make-up on, and I’m in a ripped white T-shirt sitting on my couch, you know? It’s like, I’m not the person that you see on the red carpet on a daily basis. I don’t look like that; I don’t walk out of my apartment looking like that. So I guess it’s just kind of understanding that the reality of Hollywood, and the façade that it puts on.”

Speaking to The Times Magazine, he said: “In 2018, I can go into a hospital, aged 42, be that fit, and have all that modern equipment around me and still nearly die? F*****g hell. I came that close. The first two nights, it was incredibly close.”

I had been drinking four or five glasses of wine every night. In LA, I’ve been smoking weed. It’s all legal over there. I’m going to stop all that … I’ve decided to really, really embrace health from here on in.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ralph Lauren is set to be honoured as the first ever American fashion designer to receive a KBE from Queen Elizabeth II.
The 79-year-old iconic fashion mogul will be honoured as Honorary Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (KBE) for his services to fashion and philanthropy, making him the first ever American designer to receive such an honour.
Ralph will be awarded the title during a ceremony next year, by a representative of 92-year-old British monarch Queen Elizabeth II.
The award is fitting for the designer, as his work has been frequented by famous stylish royals, including the late Princess Diana, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
Antony Phillipson, British Consul General to New York and Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for North America, said in a statement: “I warmly congratulate Ralph Lauren on this award that recognises these efforts and achievements over the past 50 years.”
On top of his fashion powerhouse, Ralph has also been a prominent philanthropist with a commitment to helping cancer patients access quality health care, and has set up several Ralph Lauren Centers in the US and London to help with cancer care.

Ralph recently celebrated his 50th anniversary in the fashion industry with a star-studded show and party in Central Park, which included a stunning runway collection and a speech from Oprah Winfrey.

The 41-year-old star shared a snap of the pair holding microphones on Twitter, and captioned it: “We sang Backstreet Boys I want it that way (sic)”
Kanye rubbing shoulders with Zuckerberg comes hours after his wife Kim Kardashian West – with whom he has North, five, Saint, two, and Chicago, nine months – revealed she has been “educating” her spouse about Donald Trump’s politics, because he “doesn’t know” about know much about his theories and attitudes.
While the ‘All Day’ hitmaker has previously admitted he is keen to become President of the USA, his wife claims she has been helping him to learn about the Republican’s policies, and says he gets “really misconstrued” when talking about Trump’s ideas.
She said: “I feel like he’s very misunderstood and the worst communicator. But, when we talk about it, we have very similar politics.
“He’s very not political, actually, he just happens to like Donald Trump’s personality, but doesn’t know about the politics.
“So, I’ve educated him recently. I think it gets really misconstrued. He will always say he was friendly with him before, and he’s the same person and friendly with him now.”
The 38-year-old star’s comments came just a month after Kanye vowed to take a step back from politics.
In a series of tweets, he wrote: “I support creating jobs and opportunities for people who need them the most, I support prison reform, I support common-sense gun laws that will make our world safer … I support those who risk their lives to serve and protect us and I support holding people who misuse their power accountable. I believe in love and compassion for people seeking asylum and parents who are fighting to protect their children from violence and war … I would like to thank my family, loved ones, and community for supporting my ACTUAL beliefs and my vision for a better world … My eyes are now wide open and now realize I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in. I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative !!! (sic)”

“My dad has two master’s degrees. My mom has a Ph.D. Rap is great. It’s fun. It’s fun to be a rock star, and I’ll never not be one I guess, but there’ll be a point where I become my mother’s child.”

Kim Kardashian West is a different person since being robbed

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West is a “different person” since she was robbed at gunpoint.
The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star was left terrified when burglars broke into her Paris apartment and stole $10 million of jewellery but she is finally learning to be “OK” with the experience because she has “learned so much from it”.
Speaking at Variety and Rolling Stone’s Criminal Justice Reform Summit on Wednesday (14.11.18), she said: “I just felt like taking myself out of being a victim. I don’t ever really have a victim mentality. I’ve always tried to really genuinely learn. And I feel like the way I was living my lifestyle, not that anyone should go through that, but I learned so much from it, and I’m OK with my experience, and I do believe that it was meant to happen to me because I’m a different person because of it. When you become a mom, you change anyway, but I think when your life is at stake over material items, it’s just … all of that stuff goes out the door. Like, none of it matters. Just my priorities completely changed, and what is important to me changed. I’m a better mom because of it. The things I’ll teach my kids are different.”
Meanwhile, Kim previously admitted she was “deeply” changed by the “horrific” Paris robbery.
She said: “My life has definitely changed a lot in the last two years. For a good year, I almost lost myself. I was never depressed, but I wasn’t motivated to get up and work like I used to. It shook me. There was a lot of me that measured who I was by how much I had. I thought, ‘Oh, I’m worth so much.’ That needed to change in me.”

Emily Atack believes she will always be Charlotte Big Jugs

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Atack thinks she will always be known as “Charlotte Big Jugs” from ‘The Inbetweeners’.
The 28-year-old star still gets recognised in the street for her breakthrough role as busty bombshell Charlotte Hinchcliffe, despite the fact she appeared in the comedy series eight years ago.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ contestant said: “I think I’ll always be known as ‘Charlotte Big Jugs’ from ‘The Inbetweeners’. I still get recognised from that show in the street and I don’t think I’ll ever get away from that. I get the odd pervy comment from fans – one bloke called me a ‘naughty biscuit’ last time.”
Emily – who has since starred in films such as ‘Dad’s Army’ and ‘Lies We Tell’ – hails from a showbiz family.
Her grandmother’s cousin is Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney, who she revealed used to give her dating advice when she was a teenager.
She recalled: “We always used to go around to Paul’s house for his amazing New Year’s Eve parties and I was once crying on the sofa because I had this horrible, mean boyfriend. He was vile.”
“Paul sat next to me and said, ‘Babe, don’t waste time loving someone who doesn’t love you.’ ”
The ‘Rock & Chips’ actress admits she would be open to finding love in the jungle and she would prefer to settle down with someone else in the showbiz industry because they would be able to relate to each other’s career pressures.

Christopher Eccleston threatened to sue the BBC after Doctor Who

OHMYGOSSIP — Christopher Eccleston threatened to sue the BBC following his departure from the ‘Doctor Who’ series.
The 54-year-old actor was given the responsibility of playing the Time Lord for in 2005 in Russell T. Davies’ revival of the sci-fi show – in which he starred opposite singer-turned-actress Billie Piper.
However, he departed the role after one series due to a disagreement with his bosses and now Eccleston has admitted he was so angry when the BBC issued a statement at the time claiming he was leaving because he was “tired” which led to him threatening legal action to get an apology for the misinformation.
Speaking to Jo Whiley and Simon Mayo on Radio 2, he said: “I made an agreement that I would say nothing about my departure, and I honoured that, because I was looking after the production.
“And then the BBC issued a statement, they put a quote from me that they had written saying why I’d left, because I was tired, which any producer reading that [would think], ‘Well we won’t give Chris Eccleston a job because he gets tired.
“So I threatened legal action and I got an apology printed in all the newspapers. The BBC had to make a statement apologising for attributing quotes to me.
“Nobody will go on record as saying this but my agent said, ‘You need to get out of town because you’re not going to work.’
“I kept my word and they didn’t keep their word, so I took them to court, well, I didn’t have to take them to court – I took them to a lawyers’ office.”
Eccleston – who played the Ninth Doctor – has previously spoken about how his superiors “lost trust” in him, which was a large factor in losing the coveted role.
He explained: “My relationship with my three immediate superiors – the showrunner, the producer and co-producer – broke down irreparably during the first block of filming and it never recovered.
“They lost trust in me, and I lost faith and trust and belief in them.”

Asked if she plans to change her style since she had a baby, she said: “Not at all. I don’t feel like I gotta change my style because I had a baby … I feel like the only time I should change my style is if I have my baby on me. Like, no I don’t want to wear a god damn thong and walk around my baby. But I don’t feel like I gotta change.”
And the 26-year-old rapper is “very nervous” about releasing her own fashion line.
She added to Entertainment Tonight: “I’m actually very nervous because I hope that people like my collection. I know it’s a little bit different and I know people was not expecting what I was gonna drop. So I hope it does good. I’m about to see so many people, so many celebrities, so it’s like oh snappity, snap, snap! … It feels really amazing [to have star support]. A lot of people think it’s supposed to be a catty thing, and it just feels good. When other women show love to each other, and they don’t know how much that means to me though. One day they might need a kidney and I might give you mine and I barely drink, so mine might be good.”
