Ariel Winter takes ‘a bunch of medication’ for her mental health

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariel Winter has been taking “a bunch of medication” for her mental health.
The 25-year-old actress – who is best-known for playing Alex Dunphy in ‘Modern Family’ – has revealed that she needs to take medication in order to feel mentally well.
During an appearance on the ‘Broad Ideas with Rachel Bilson and Olivia Allen’ podcast, Ariel shared: “Why am I gonna be out here, like, pretending like I don’t need something?
“Like, why am I gonna be out here pretending that I can live my life just fine without it when, like, I can’t. And, like, so many people I know can’t either.”
Ariel has been attending therapy sessions for a decade, and the actress admits that she’s been on a “journey” with her mental health.
She explained: “I started in therapy when I was 15, and I think I got on medication probably when I was, like, 16. And it was a really hard journey to find the right ones. It took a really long time.”
Ariel initially agonised about taking different medications. But she’s become much more philosophical about the situation over time.
She said: “At first I was like, ‘Wow, I have to take more than one’. I, like, felt weird and I was like, ‘Oh, no, I feel like that pill lady.’ I have my little pill container. But over time, I was like, ‘Whatever, I feel better.’ It is what it is. What, if I have to take a couple together to be the best version of me, that’s fine.”
In 2019, meanwhile, Ariel revealed that her medication had actually caused her to lose weight.
Discussing her weight-loss, the actress said on Instagram: “The change in medication instantly made me drop all of the weight I couldn’t lose before by just giving me back a metabolism.
“That was very unexpected. While I feel better mentally with the change, it’s nice to work out and have your body actually respond, but I want to gain a few pounds of muscle and get healthier.”

‘He was an extremely talented human being’ Abigail Breslin pays tribute to late star Evan Ellingson

OHMYGOSSIP — Abigail Breslin has remembered Evan Ellingson as a “kind, funny and extremely talented human being” following his death aged 35.
The 27-year-old star appeared alongside the late actor in 2009 movie ‘My Sister’s Keeper’, and she admitted he was “a genuinely thoughtful person” who was the “life of the party” on set, and she is grateful to have crossed paths with him.
Abigail wrote on Instagram: “Evan Ellingson was a kind, funny and extremely talented human being. He played my big brother in a film I did called My Sisters Keeper. Evan was a genuinely thoughtful person who cared so much about turning in the best performance, which he accomplished. Some of his scenes in MSK still give me chills. He was also silly, funny, a prankster, a lover of Red Bull (I hated the smell of Red Bull [laughing emoji]) and he was energetic and the life of the party. I didn’t keep in touch a lot with him after the film, but he always stayed in my mind as a wonderful and sweet soul, one I am grateful to have crossed paths with. My prayers and condolences are with his family at this difficult time. (sic)”
Abigail also asked social media users to refrain from speculating about Evan’s passing.
She added: “Evan, I know Heaven will welcome you with open arms. Your time on this earth may have been, devastatingly, short. Your humor, exuberance, kindness and bright light will linger forever. Sending you peace on your journey to the great beyond and who knows… maybe one day, I’ll meet you in Montana.
Xx, abster
Side note: the details of Evan’s passing have not yet been released. I ask you to kindly not speculate on the details out of respect for his family including his daughter. (sic)”

He told The Philippine Star: “I never had the same [childhood] experience with my friends.
“I never had more time with them. However, my childhood was a cool one. I was busy doing the things I love. I had no regrets because I found my passion for acting early on.”

The Longest Yard remake ‘in the works’

OHMYGOSSIP — A remake of ‘The Longest Yard’ is in the works.
The original movie was released in 1974, starring Burt Reynolds, and another version dropped in 2005, led by Adam Sandler, and Paramount Pictures have started making a third version of the sports comedy film.
According to Deadline, Rodney Barnes is writing the script for the motion picture.
Gunpowder and Sky’s CEO Van Toffler – who was an executive producer on Sandler’s ‘The Longest Yard’ – is producing alongside David Gale.
The original movie saw Reynolds star as former NFL quarterback Paul “Wrecking” Crewe, who is sentenced to prison and puts together a team to play the jail’s guards.
Sandler took on the lead role in the 2005 film, which was directed by Peter Segal and starred Chris Rock, James Cromwell, Nelly, William Fichtner, and Joey Diaz.
Reynolds also appeared in the movie as Coach Nate Scarborough.
Sandler has previously insisted the remake was “not even close” to the original movie, and said it “made no sense”.
Speaking on ‘The Bill Simmons Podcast’, he said: “It was going. It was going. They were doing it. And it was cool and I was like, if they’re doing it, I might as well be in it.
“Compared to the first one, not even close. It ended up doing alright.
“Paid for some things in our house … it made no sense.”
While Sandler has gone on to make several films since, the star admitted in December 2022 that he doesn’t expect to ever appear in a big movie franchise.
He told the ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast: “I’ve never thought about it, maybe because no one has ever asked me. I don’t know. I’m very into, I love that stuff.
“I see that stuff and go wow, these amazing movies, but no it hasn’t happened and probably won’t happen.”

Robbie Williams reveals ‘biggest regret’ of music career

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams has described ‘Rudebox’ as the “biggest regret” of his career.
The ‘Let Me Entertain You’ hitmaker left his fans totally baffled with his 2006 single, which ditched his famous pop rock sound for more of a hip hop and dance influence, while the lyrics referenced Adidas Superstars, “pockets full of Durex” and questionable rhymes.
Reflecting on the song – the title track from his seventh solo album – he told NME: “My biggest regret is putting that out as the first single.
“If I’d have put it out third and explained properly [that] it’s daft – I know! I’m not trying to be a grime artist. I know it’s daft.”
He confessed that mortifying moment in his upcoming four part Netflix documentary is seeing himself hyping up the song to his fans.
He added: “In the documentary, the biggest cringe point for me is explaining to an audience who are about to listen to ‘Rudebox’ for the first time that this is gonna be the biggest single since ‘Angels’.
“Then I had another thought about it, that it’s my second most important single because ‘Angels’ gave me the career and ‘Rudebox’ heralded the end of my imperial phase.
“So in a way I was right, but not in the way I wanted to be.”
The 49-year-old pop star is seen reliving his past by watching old videos in new Netflix series ‘Robbie Williams’ which covers his rise to fame, career in Take That and his solo success as well as his issues with addiction and mental health battles.
Director Joe Pearlman recently revealed looking back on the darker aspects of his life often proved too much for the singer.
Joe told The Independent newspaper: “He was going to have to rewatch active addiction: I think we knew that was going to be incredibly challenging and also potentially triggering.
“So we had to be very careful around those moments … This thing would take its toll on a person. And there were times when we couldn’t continue, times when we had to call it [off] and that was fine.”

‘There’s plenty more material!’ The Rolling Stones will make more albums until they ‘drop’

OHMYGOSSIP — The Rolling Stones will continue to make more albums until they “drop”.
Guitarist Keith Richards has told how the band – also made up of frontman Sir Mick Jagger and guitarist Ronnie Wood – have “plenty more” material left over from their recent number one album ‘Hackney Diamonds’.
When asked if there is “another album in the pipeline”, Keith told SiriusXM NPR: “There’s plenty more stuff left over from ‘Hackney Diamonds’ to work on.
“There’ll always be another one until we drop.
“We can put our feet up for a little bit, but you know.
“You’re into this thing all the way. This is what we do. We’ve gotta see this Rolling Stones through.”
Keith – who turns 80 next month – also isn’t planning to stop performing anytime soon, because he still “loves it”.
He said: “It keeps me on my toes and keeps my fingers moving. And I’m still finding different ways of playing things.
“Even though you’re getting to be around 80, believe me, it don’t stop.”
The band lost their long-time drummer Charlie Watts in August 2021 when he passed away from throat cancer, and Keith admitted it has been “difficult” playing without him.
But he is grateful that Charlie recommended Steve Jordan as his replacement for live shows, before he passed away.
Asked what it was like to not work with Charlie after so many years, Keith replied: “As part of the Stones, it was difficult.
“Made much easier by Mr. Watts himself, who had always recommended Steve Jordan, ‘If anything happens, Steve Jordan’s the man.’
“That advice came many years ago to me, and that caused me to work on The X-Pensive Winos with Steve Jordan.
“So it was a natural fold-in for the events, but at the same time, I do know that it is with Charlie’s blessing – which makes us all a lot happy, you know?”
The Rolling Stones received the BRIT Billion Award last month to mark one billion career streams in the UK, as recorded by the Official Charts Company.
The band became the “longest-active artist” to receive the prize, according to the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).
