Love Island star Davide Sanclimenti up for ‘challenge’ of I’m a Celeb or Survivor

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’ star Davide Sanclimenti is keen to do ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ or ‘Survivor’.
The 28-year-old Italian hunk – who won the eighth season of the ITV2 dating show in 2022, alongside girlfriend Ekin-Su Culculoglu – would be up for the “challenge” of a number of reality shows, including the ITV jungle show and adventure game show ‘Survivor’.
He told the Daily Star: “When I was in Italy, I was always watching shows like Survivor and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! My dream would be to be on an island alone and survive.”
However, Davide is not too good with creepy crawlies.
He confessed: “Any kind of insect, I can’t cope with that.”
The reality star would also be up for competing on the BBC’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ or ITV’s ‘Dancing on Ice’.
If he ends up on the latter show, he will follow in the footsteps of his partner Ekin-Su, 29, who competed in the last series in January.
Davide added: “I will do any show that will challenge myself in different ways, so Dancing on Ice I would do because it will be challenging with the training and working on the show.”
The couple have given their relationship another try after splitting in June.
Speaking to The Mirror about dating in the public eye and the “hate” they receive online, Ekin-Su said recently: “We just ignore and we just live our lives privately and we focus on each other, like a normal couple and we’re really happy.
“We just ignore the hate, ignore the pressure and live a normal life. That’s what makes us happy.”

Kourtney Kardashian ‘feels so blessed’ after welcoming son

OHMYGOSSIP — Kourtney Kardashian reportedly feels “so blessed” after welcoming a son with Travis Barker, who has been doting on her during her stint in hospital.
‘The Kardashians’ star is said to have welcomed a little boy – her fourth child but her first with husband Travis – last week and she’s believed to be thrilled to be a mum again after a difficult final few weeks of her pregnancy,
A source told People: “Kourtney is over the moon about her son’s arrival. Her pregnancy took a stressful turn towards the end. She is happy to just be able to snuggle her baby boy now. She feels so blessed.”
The insider insisted Travis has been a huge support to Kourtney, adding: “[He] keeps being amazing. He brings her favourite, healthy food to the hospital. He makes sure she has everything that she needs. He is obsessed with their baby boy.”
Reports suggest the couple have named their son Rocky after a guest at the reality star’s baby shower left a message which referenced “Baby Rocky”.
Travis has previously insisted he hoped to call his son Rocky Thirteen after Rocky George from metal band Suicidal Tendencies and fictional boxer Rocky Balboa from the ‘Rocky’ and ‘Creed’ movies.
Speaking to Toby Morse on the ‘One Life One Chance’ podcast, he slipped up: “There was a benefit in Hawaii that we were gonna do, but it’s the week that Rocky’s due.” The host then said: “Rocky Thirteen Barker,” to which Travis repeated: “Rocky Thirteen Barker!” The sticksman – who also recently revealed that their baby was due around October 31 – then joked: “He’s gonna come out of my wife’s vagina like doing front kicks and push-ups.” Kourtney announced she was expecting in June by holding up a sign reading “Travis I’m Pregnant” at one of her husband’s concerts in LA. After seeing his wife’s message, Travis, 47, jumped down off the stage and made his way towards her for a celebratory kiss. They later shared some video footage of the moment in a joint Instagram post.

Gareth Gates needed five weeks of therapy after winning Celebrity SAS

OHMYGOSSIP — Gareth Gates needed five weeks of therapy after winning ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’.
The 39-year-old former pop star has admitted he suffered “physically” and “emotionally” while filming the gruelling reality TV show – which tests contestants’ resilience in a series of tough challenges – and he spent more than a month having counselling after wrapping the final episode.
He told the Mirror newspaper: “After the whole nine or 10 days we were in there and the sleep deprivation, being stretched physically, emotionally, mentally, the thing that tipped me over the edge was the interrogation.
“I had to have quite a bit of therapy afterwards and the show is great for that. When you come out, you’re checked over and I had about five weeks worth of counselling and therapy because it really, really did affect me.”
Gareth made it to the final of the show alongside Danielle Lloyd, Matt Hancock, Perri Shakes-Drayton and Teddy Soares, and he was the last contestant left standing at the end.
The singer – who spent years struggling with a speech impediment – went on to admit it felt good to win after previously coming second to Will Young in Simon Cowell’s TV talent show ‘Pop Idol’ back in 2002.
He said: “It actually felt like I’d been preparing for this my whole life. The struggle with my speech and having to be mentally strong to hear them say [I had passed]. I was like, ‘Wow, this is incredible’.
“I thought at last, I’ve actually won a talent TV show and not came second this time. It was a massive weight off my shoulders. I’ve finally redeemed myself from being the biggest loser in the UK back in 2002.”

David Fincher declares ‘cinema is not dead’

OHMYGOSSIP — David Fincher has declared “cinema is not dead” and insisted the art form is constantly changing and evolving.
The Hollywood director made the remarks during his speech at the 2023 LACMA Art and Film Gala at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on Saturday night (04.11.23) where he was honoured for his contribution to movies – taking the opportunity to tell the audience the film industry is still very much alive.
He said: “I’d also like to take this opportunity to insist that cinema is not dead. It’s not even close. Man has painted for more than 30,000 years, he has played with building blocks of cinema for just over 100. We are barely capable of keeping our heads upright or rolling over. We’re not even crawling. True cinema, the resonant play of ideas and behaviours against story structures, forged, implied or even ignored, wasn’t diminished by the advent of sound or colour or streaming. It evolved and it’ll continue to do so, but we must push it prod it, test its tensile strength and never shy from questioning its effects and worthiness.”
He also touched on the ongoing actors strike which has brought Hollywood to a standstill as members of SAG-AFTRA fight for improvements on issues such as residuals and AI.
Fincher said of the strike: “We must get these supremely talented people back to work. We have to very soon.”
The moviemaker was introduced to the stage by his collaborator Brad Pitt – who he worked with on films including ‘Fight Club’ and ‘Seven’ – and the actor needled his former boss over his directing style.
Pitt said: “Here’s some things you will hear on a David Fincher shoot: ‘Let’s shoot this now before we all lose interest in living.’ ‘OK, we have the out-of-focus version. Now let’s try one that’s in focus.’ ‘That was s*** through no fault of my own.’ And a personal fave: ‘I want you guys to enjoy yourselves, but that’s what Saturdays and Sundays are for’.”
He added: “Working with him, you will know what excellence feels like. His films — they’ve always challenged our sense of safety. As he says, ‘If we’re not out there juggling chainsaws, we’re doing ourselves a disservice.”
Guests at the bash included Leonardo DiCaprio, Kim Kardashian, Billie Eilish, Jennifer Lopez and Keanu Reeves and featured a musical performance by Lenny Kravitz. The star-studded event raised $5 million for the museum’s film programs.

Danny DeVito rules out Twins 2, teases secret project with co-star Arnold Schwarzenegger

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny DeVito and his ‘Twins’ co-star Arnold Schwarzenegger have a “little project” in the pipeline.
The ‘Matilda’ actor, 78, and the action legend, 76, portrayed fraternal twin brothers separated at birth in the 1988 comedy, and whilst a sequel is no longer said to be on the cards, DeVito can’t wait to work with the ‘Terminator’ star again on their secret separate project.
Schwarzenegger couldn’t commit to ‘Twins 2′ because he became Governor of California in 2003.
DeVito quipped in an interview with GQ: “We missed ‘Twins 2,’ because he became governor – which, he should have done ‘Twins 2′ instead of becoming Governor.
“Now we have a little thing going, a little project that we’ve been chatting about.”
DeVito insisted the new project is different from ‘Twins’.
He said: “No, it’s just two friends, two guys, because we have a good time together. We complement each other in a lot of ways. I am way stronger than he is.”
A ‘Twins’ sequel might be off the cards, but DeVito teased that he and Billy Crystal could reunite for a ‘Throw Momma From the Train’ sequel.
He teased the second film could be called ‘Throw Papa From the Train’.
The original flick was released in 1987 and was DeVito’s directional debut.
Elsewhere, he hinted at more episodes of the hit US sitcom ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’, in which he plays eccentric millionaire Frank Reynolds.
He said: “I love doing ‘Sunny.’ We’ve done 16 years. We’re probably going to do more.”
The 16th season aired in July.

Bjork revives lost song to help fight salmon farming

OHMYGOSSIP — Bjork has revived a lost song called ‘Oral’ to raise money for a legal fight against salmon farming.
The 57-year-old singer is backing a battle against Norwegian-owned commercial fish farming operations which have been affecting the ecosystem in her native Iceland and she hopes the track – which is a collaboration with fellow singer Rosalia – can help the cause and “give people a voice”.
She told Pitchfork.com: “I was not thinking about salmon then [when I wrote the song] … I like the fact that it’s happy. We are focusing on the solutions, to give people a voice. If we get more money than just for this court case, we are also going to go into all the legislation, and more into the infrastructure of Iceland’s legal system [about] how we can have strict regulations here.”
She added of the fight against the salmon farms: “We also understand that this is not a sprint, this is like a marathon. This might take five years, so who knows? One of the reasons why I picked this case is because it is still possible to stop the mutant Norwegian salmon. It is still possible to get our fjords back.”
Bjork went on to admit she’s never actually voted in an election, but she’s determined to have her say on issues close to her heart through her music.
She explained: “I do personal politics. I don’t do party politics. I’ve never voted for a party in my life. But I think this is a very important weapon, or tool, of the singer-songwriter …
“I’ve always picked maybe one battle a year, or every other year, that I can see I can win, and I can take it all the way till the end and actually change something.”
‘Oral’ is released on November 9.

Jay Weinberg departs Slipknot for ‘creative’ reasons

OHMYGOSSIP — Slipknot’s drummer Jay Weinberg has departed the heavy metal band after 13 years.
The 33-year-old sticksman replaced original drummer Joey Jordison – who died in 2021 – and the only explanation for his exit is that it was “a creative decision”.
A statement on the group’s website read: “We would like to thank Jay Weinberg for his dedication and passion over the past ten years.
“No one can ever replace Joey Jordison’s original sound, style or energy, but Jay honored Joey’s parts and contributed to the last three albums and we, the band, and the fans appreciate it.”
The band vowed: “Slipknot is intent on evolving.
“The band has decided to make a creative decision and to part ways with Jay. We wish Jay all the best and are very excited for what the future holds.”
Jay – who is the son of Bruce Springsteen drummer Max Weinberg and has performed with The Boss’ E Street Band – first featured on Slipknot’s 2014 record ‘.5: The Gray Chapter’, which earned Corey Taylor and co two Grammy nominations.
Jay leaving the ‘All Out Life’ band comes a month after keyboardist and sampler Craig Jones left.
In 2019, Michael Pfaff was brought in to replace percussionist Chris Fehn.
The current line-up also includes Sid Wilson, Jim Root, Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan, Mick Thomson, and Alessandro Venturella.
Meanwhile, frontman Corey recently admitted he believes he has around “five years left” of being “physically” able to tour as he does now with Slipknot.
The 49-year-old rocker has predicted that by the time he reaches his mid-50s, he won’t be able to keep up with his gruelling tour routine and deliver “quality” performances.
However, the ‘Duality’ rocker has vowed to continue for as long as possible because his “heart and soul needs it”.
He told Germany’s Rock Antenne: “As long as I can physically do it, and as long as there are people there to see it, man, I’ll continue to do it.
“Now, if the quality starts to fail, then I’ll know it’s time to hand it in. And I’ve already thought about it — I’ve already thought about, maybe I’ve got another five years left of physically touring like this. I try to take care of myself. I work out when I can.”
He admitted: “The travel out here [in Europe] is exhausting; the food is horrible; so, it makes it hard to do that. But as long as I can keep at it, that’s at least what I wanna do. So, yeah, it is what it is.”

Kylie Minogue taking extra care of vocals performing in Las Vegas

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Minogue is being extra cautious to look after her vocals during her Las Vegas residency.
The ‘Vegas High’ singer kicked off her ‘More Than Just a Residency’ run at the brand new venue, Voltaire, at Venetian Las Vegas, on Friday (03.11.23), and after hearing from other singers about the challenges of performing in the desert, Kylie is taking “extra care” to ensure the climate doesn’t cause any damage to her vocals and using a humidifier.
She told The Sun newspaper: “I still want to go all out. Whenever I say to myself, ‘You have to go cruise control’ it never happens. I can’t help but give everything.
“One unique change to the norm has been having to be very aware of my vocals as we’re in the desert.
“I’ve heard from a few performers that you have to take extra care as this type of climate can be difficult to manage.”
Unlike other diva acts, the 55-year-old pop idol will happily iron her own clothes and tidy her backstage area.
Asked if she irons and hoovers, she replied: “Yes! And a good bit of sorting.
“I love to potter around and as I’m on the road so much, whenever I’m in a place where I can settle for more than a few days, I can do this. Nothing beats being at home though.
“I am a little fastidious even at work and I’m normally the last person to leave and I’m tidying up before I go.”
And the ‘Spinning Around’ hitmaker doesn’t have any diva demands when it comes to her backstage area.
Asked what’s on her rider, she said: “I keep my backstage area pretty simple. I don’t need distraction. Here in Vegas, a humidifier is essential.
“High up on the list of priorities is a kettle and a coffee machine. A well-timed cup of tea can always make things better.”
The residency set is a 75-minute journey through her five-decade-long career, with fans able to get up close and personal with Kylie.

Andrew Ridgeley ‘regrets’ tiny Wham! shorts

OHMYGOSSIP — Andrew Ridgeley has joked he’s “regretful” of the tiny shorts he wore during his time in Wham!.
The 60-year-old pop star wore a particularly snug outfit alongside his bandmate George Michael in the 1984 video for their hit ‘Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go’ and Andrew has admitted the costume might not have been the best choice.
During an interview with New York Post column PageSix, Andrew was asked if he was “amazed” by how tiny his shorts were, and he replied: “Not amazed [at how short they were but] slightly, how shall I say? Regretful.”
He then added: “No, it was all a bit of fun. Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe, they all wore shorts that length. It was very a la mode. At least we had the pins to work with it.”
When asked if he was worried about “bits and bobs” falling out of the shorts, he laughed: “They were well packaged.”
Andrew made the comments at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Brooklyn, New York on Friday night (03.11.23) where he was on hand to help induct his late former bandmate into the institution.
He admitted the event felt sad without his old pal – who died on Christmas Day in 2016 aged 53 – but he was trying to stay positive. Andrew added: “Looking at the positives rather than the element of sadness that attaches oneself. One should be focused on good things!”
George was honoured on stage by Carrie Underwood who performed ‘One More Try’ while Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine covered classic track ‘Faith’ while Miguel and Jake Clemons took on ‘Careless Whisper’.
The inductees also included Sheryl Crow, Willie Nelson, Missy Elliott and Kate Bush, who pulled out of attending the ceremony at the last minute.
Kate – who rarely makes public appearances or comments – said in a statement: “I am completely blown away by this huge honour – an award that sits in the big beating heart of the American music industry.
“Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me. I never imagined I would be given this wonderful accolade … I’m afraid I won’t be able to attend the ceremony tonight, but for me the real honour is knowing that you felt I deserved it …
“Music is at the core of who I am and, like all musicians, being on the journey of trying to create something musically interesting is rife with feelings of doubt and insecurity.
“I’m only five foot three, but today I feel a little taller.”
Kate was inducted by rapper Big Boi and honoured in a video tribute which included words from stars including Sir Elton John and Peter Gabriel while St. Vincent performed her track ‘Running Up That Hill’.

Actor Peter White dies after battle with skin cancer

OHMYGOSSIP — Peter White has died aged 86 after battling skin cancer.
The actor – best known for playing Linc Tyler in US soap opera ‘All My Children’ – passed away on Wednesday (01.11.23) at his home in Los Angeles after a struggle with melanoma.
The sad news was confirmed by White’s former ‘All My Children’ co-star Kathleen Noone who told Soap Hub: “I wanted you to know that Peter White, who played Linc, Phoebe’s, Ruth Warrick’s, son, died today from Melanoma.”
White never married and didn’t have any children.
He studied a Master’s degree at the Yale School of Drama before launching a career on the stage, joining the cast of off-Broadway production ‘The Boys in the Band’ in 1968 about gay life in New York and later going on to appear in the film version of the stage show in 1970 which was directed by William Friedkin.
A year later, he landed his first soap job with a part in ‘Love Is a Many Splendored Thing’ and went on to score the role of Linc Tyler in ‘All My Children’ in the mid-1970s. He played the character for more than three decades before his final exit in 2005.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, White revealed he enjoyed working on the soap – especially when he got to work with Eileen Herlie, who played Myrtle.
He explained: “I started on the show around 1974. When Eileen came on, and we all realised we were going to have our storylines together… forgive me for saying this, but that’s when soaps — [including] ‘All My Children’ – were really good … I remember talking to [show creator] Agnes Nixon, and she said, ‘I have to write a storyline about you guys because you all get along so well!’ That was sort of it; we just became instant family and have been ever since, which is great.”
White’s other film roles included turns in ‘Dave’, ‘Flubber, ‘Armageddon’ and ‘Thirteen Days’ while his TV credits include ‘NYPD Blue’, The West Wing’, ‘The X Files’ and ‘Ally McBeal’ as well as other soaps ‘Dallas’, ‘Dynasty’ and ‘Knots Landing’.

Andy Cohen wants Meghan, Duchess of Sussex for Real Housewives

OHMYGOSSIP — Andy Cohen wants Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, to join the ‘Real Housewives’.
The former ‘Suits’ actress – who relocated to Montecito in California with husband Prince Harry after they stepped down as working senior royals three years ago – is at the top of the producer’s wish list for a new cast addition.
Asked if he was dreaming about future additions to the franchise at BravoCon 2023, rather than list a city, Andy said: “If we can get Meghan Markle, that would be interesting.”
However, Meghan – who has Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two, with Harry – may have to move house before she’s eligible for a permanent role in the series because Andy is currently happy with the current crop of ‘Real Housewives’ shows, Orange County, New York, Atlanta, New Jersey, Dubai, Beverly Hills, Miami, Potomac and Salt Lake City, as well as ‘Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip’.
The ‘Watch What Happens Live’ host told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “Every time Bravo calls and says, ‘What do you think about developing here or there,’ I do feel like we’re very good right now.
“You might laugh at me if I say we don’t want to oversaturate the market because there are 10.
“I think we’re very good right now. It’s a good moment in ‘Housewives’ world.”
Meanwhile, Andy confirmed he is currently single and focused on his two children, Ben, four, and 18-month-old Lucy, but is hopeful of finding a partner.
He said: “Well, I have found the two greatest loves of my life with my kids.
“Listen, dude, I am on Hinge, Grindr, Tinder and Raya.
“Something’s gotta hit. My number’s gotta hit here.”
This wasn’t the only reference Andy made to Meghan during BravoCon, as he also expressed his regret at not interviewing her before she married Harry.
Speaking on the ‘Ask Andy’ panel, he said: “It was when she was on ‘Suits’. I didn’t watch ‘Suits’. And I guess she was pitched and we passed, and as my executive producer said, ‘You really never know who is going to become a duchess…
“When I think there could be clips of Meghan Markle kiki-ing with me, doing a shot and talking about Vicki Gunvalson? I want to kill myself.”

James Blunt’s Beer Masters axed

OHMYGOSSIP — James Blunt’s ‘Beer Masters’ has been axed by Amazon Prime.
The ‘You’re Beautiful’ hitmaker, 49, teamed up with beer export Jaega Wise, 35, and famous faces like Daisy Lowe, 34, to try and locate Europe’s top homemade beer maker – with the prize including being on tap at his West London drinking hole, the Fox and the Pheasant – but the streaming service have opted to make it a very “limited series”.
A source told the Sun newspaper’s TVBiz column: “‘Beer Masters’ had all the ingredients to become a long-runner for Prime Video and it went down well with punters.
“But sometimes these limited series don’t suit ongoing commercial strategies, it’s not just about ratings.”
James enthused about the show when it first debuted and recalled how he felt the opportunity was “heaven”.
He told the outlet: “When I was offered the job I thought I had died and gone to heaven.”
The ‘Loosely Based on a Made-up Story’ author recently slammed Adele for postponing her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace with very short notice back in January 2022, leaving fans disappointed after already schlepping to Sin City for the show.
James told broadcaster Matt Everitt, 51, while in conversation in front a live audience at the Emmanuel Centre in London: “I think she should have turned up. People came across the world, paid good money, booked hotel rooms.”
When it kicked off nine months later, the 35-year-old singer told the crowd: “I’m truly sorry for any inconvenience and any disappointment that I’ve caused, but we’re here tonight and together.
Adele dubbed the cancellation “the best decision” she “ever made” amid production delays and a surge in COVID-19 cases.
“I’d really like to thank Caesars because there’s been a lot of shit written about me since I canceled those shows. 90 per cent of it is completely made up, but not once did [Caesars] ask any questions.”

Anthea Turner reunites with her sister after years of not speaking: ‘Least said, best mended!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Anthea Turner has reunited with her estranged sister Wendy Turner Webster after spending years apart.
The 63-year-old presenter fell out with her younger sister, 56, – who is known as a journalist and has also worked as a television host – some years ago but the pair have now decided to put the past behind them without giving much consideration to what caused their rift in the first place.
Anthea told OK! Magazine: “We’re at that time in our lives when we’re at our closest. I believe in taking pleasure in the present and not dissecting the past.
“There is a little phrase that I love: ‘Least said, best mended.’ What happens nowadays is that everyone says: ‘We’ve got to unpack it; let’s discuss it.’ But I don’t think for every situation it’s the right thing to do.”
In the joint interview, Wendy explained that she and the former former ‘Blue Peter’ presenter neither of them felt any need to discuss any arguments they may have had in the past and after realsing that they are now in fact “best friends” admitted that they are in regular contact with one another.
She said: “Neither of us has felt the need to discuss the circumstances and arguments that caused our years apart.
“What we realised is that we were having fun together and that we have a lot to offer as a duo. You can’t do that if you keep going over the past. I consider Anthea to be my best friend. We speak on the phone every day.”
The sisters have also teamed up to pen children’s book ‘The King’s Coronation and the Kohinoor Diamond’, which is dedicated to the animal rights group Humane Research Trust and hopes that both parents and chilkren alike will be able to relate to it.
Anthea said: “The mice have a network. There is always someone who can fix it. And, if we stand on our soapbox for a moment, it is the one thing that is falling apart in the human world. All relationships should be cherished, and I hope parents will relate to it, as well as children.”
