The ‘X Factor’ runner-up arrived in Brisbane, Australia on Sunday (11.11.18) for her stint on the reality show – just months after being dropped from Simon Cowell’s Syco record label – and has now revealed that she has a new single coming out, which she shot the video for on Saturday (10.11.18)
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, she said: “I like a challenge. I’ve got a new single coming out, I shot the music video and here I am. Rock and roll!”
The 31-year-old singer was a fan favourite during her time on ‘The X Factor’, and ‘I’m A Celeb’ producers are confident viewers of the jungle reality show will warm to her.

Danny John-Jules praises ‘inspiring’ Amy Dowden

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny John-Jules says he should’ve expressed his “gratitude” to his ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ partner Amy Dowden “more often”.
The ‘Red Dwarf’ star and the pro dancer were eliminated from the programme on Sunday night (11.11.18) after losing out in a dance-off against Graeme Swann and Oti Mabuse, and he has praised Amy for “inspiring” him throughout the series and teaching him numerous moves.
He wrote on Twitter: “I should of have expressed my gratitude more often. You truly inspired me. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the knowledge I have taken away with me, curtesy of your good self. (sic)”
Danny’s tweet comes after 27-year-old Amy told him to be “proud” of his ‘Strictly’ routines after he scored the first 10 out of 10 of the series.
She tweeted: “you should be so proud of the performances you produced! The nation got to see the talented performing Danny again! Your beautiful family I know are bursting with pride! The first 10 of the series and my first 10 for our jive is a moment I’ll never forget! (sic)”
Danny’s latest Twitter exchange comes after he called former ‘Strictly’ pro James Jordan “big man” yesterday (11.11.18), after the performer tweeted that the ‘Death in Paradise’ actor’s mum looked “miserable” during the show.
The 58-year-old actor wrote: “So you take the p**s out of an 82 YO woman with Alzheimers #BigMan (sic)”
Danny’s wife Petula Langlais had earlier shot to her mother-in-law’s defence, too.
She tweeted James saying: “Out of order! Attacking an elderly woman who has done nothing to you! You know nothing about our personal lives! That is below the belt!!! Love and light to you (sic)”
James then replied: “I just stated facts… said what everyone was thinking.
Not attacking anyone.
She did look miserable when the camera was on her, but I’m sure she is a lovely lady
No malice intended
But everyone gets offended over everything nowadays (sic)”

AJ Pritchard amazed by ‘unbelievable’ Lauren Steadman

OHMYGOSSIP — AJ Pritchard finds it “unbelievable” watching Lauren Steadman rehearsing ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ lifts with one arm.
The 24-year-old professional dancer admits it is “impossible” to perform some show stunts with the Paralympian – who was born without a complete right arm – but he has found her “so inspirational” to work with throughout the series, and they are both determined to taste success on the show.
He said: “I feel like the past couple of weeks with Lauren her confidence has grown so much, and I feel like it’s the start of the competition for us.
“Every time she comes into the studio now she just wants to learn and she’s really pushing herself.
“She’s so inspirational. Even the simple things, tying her hair and doing her shoe buckles up with one hand.
“The things that she does is unbelievable.
“When it comes to the lifts and the dancing, I have to stand back at times and watch her back on the video, and I’m like, ‘You’ve got one arm and you’re doing these lifts.’ It’s unbelievable.
“We both have that sports mentality – we will make it work. Sometimes we do try things and the hand is not there so it’s just impossible. We’ll always find our own way and we’ll never be beaten.
“We turn it into a positive. It’s more unique in our way. Nobody does it like us because nobody is in this situation.”
AJ also admitted more people have been approaching Lauren to speak to her about being a ‘Strictly’ success of late, rather than to look at her arm.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, he added: “I asked Lauren, ‘Why do you want to do the show?’ She said, ‘I just want to inspire young children to wake up in the morning and really think that they’re happy to be here.’
“Usually people come up to her and say, ‘Congratulations,’ as a Paralympian, and start looking at her arm.
“Now in Portsmouth, in her home town, they walk up to her and say, ‘Congratulations for ‘Strictly’,’ and they walk up to her and give her a hug.
“There’s never an awareness of her arm. It’s so lovely people are seeing her as Lauren Steadman, not ‘I’ve got one arm.’ For her it was the nicest thing ever.”
This comes after AJ Previously admitted he finds it “scary” performing lifts on ‘Strictly’.
He said: “When we’re doing lifts and stuff we do have to think differently about how we’d maybe somehow get you on top of my shoulders like we are this week, and throwing you around.
“We’ve got some interesting things coming. But the thing is you just approach everything so positive – Lauren just goes in with a clear mind, there’s no right, there’s no wrong, it’s just, ‘We’ll do it’. You are fearless which definitely helps in the Charleston.
“The lifts are a bit scary. They’re scary for me so that means they must be scary for you up there.”

Hailey Baldwin needs to nap

OHMYGOSSIP — Hailey Baldwin says that “napping” is her way of “pampering” herself.
The 21-year-old model – who has recently partnered with beauty giant BareMinerals – doesn’t bother visiting spas if she wants a well-earned break and instead she will pop on a face mask at home and have a little snooze and “watch movies” to recharge and replenish her skin.
Speaking to Vogue UK, Hailey said: “[On a daily basis] I actually do super minimal makeup. Like just a little bit of concealer, a little bit of powder, blush, highlight, mascara. I really like the Bareminerals BarePro Glow Highlighters because I love looking fresh, dewy and glowy. Usually I just add a red lip if I’m trying to be a little more fancy. BareMinerals have a good one called Statement Matte Liquid Lipcolour. BareMinerals is a brand that’s really easy for me to get behind. I love their products, I love what they represent and what they stand for. I never sleep with makeup on, ever. I can’t do it. So at night it’s make-up wipes, face wash, a serum of some sort and I like doing masks from time to time. Like yesterday, I used the BareMinerals Double Duty Claymates Mask Duo. I don’t like to travel with make-up on either. I don’t mask on the plane, but I do put on lots of moisturiser on the plane. And drink a lot of water.
“Honestly, for me pampering myself is napping. And watching movies. But I like doing a spa sometimes, like a little spa day. I don’t go anywhere particular. I think you can do that at home, like get in a bath, put a mask on…”
Hailey – who is engaged to Justin Bieber – is one of the rising stars of the fashion world and admits the power of “social media” really helped kick-start her career because of its ability to help her “connect” with people all over the world.
Hailey added: “Everything is so different now and honestly the way that [those with similar careers] did it before was a lot more impressive because they didn’t have this extra tool of social media to be able to connect with people and gain fans.
“I think the way it’s helped is that it’s a really, really big platform and it’s so easy to access and to share information and let people in on your life and career. Obviously social media is also a really tricky thing and it’s really difficult sometimes to handle. But I think it’s played a big role in my career, for sure.”

The Spice Girls champion People Power

OHMYGOSSIP — The Spice Girls are ditching their famous Girl Power slogan – and turning it into People Power.
The girl group – which comprises of Mel B, Emma Bunton, Mel C, Geri Horner and Victoria Beckham – are reuniting for a series of shows, minus the fashion designer, and they have adapted their famous Girl Power message to focus on “equality and bringing everyone together”.
Emma said: “It’s people power. We’re about equality and bringing everyone together.”
And after the devastating revelations of the #MeToo movement, the ‘Wannabe’ hitmakers want to “bring lightness” to the world and help with the healing.
Geri added: “If we use the word feminism, OK, look it up in the dictionary and it means the equalisation between women and men. It’s everybody … We want to move that conversation on, move it forward. The last year was very dark, the whole #MeToo thing, but it had to happen. Honesty is paramount to healing but then we move into the light. The Spice World philosophy is let’s get into the solution now. Let’s be positive. We’ve got each other, we care about you.”
Emma shared: “We’ve been talking about that a lot. We want to bring lightness now – that’s really important to us – and joy.”
And speaking to The Sun’s Dan Wootton on ITV’s Lorraine, Geri explained: “Everybody matters to us. It’s the philosophy of Spice Up Your Life. Every boy, every girl, it doesn’t matter what you look like, where you are, everybody’s welcome.”

Nikki Bella’s difficult split

OHMYGOSSIP — Nikki Bella’s public break up from John Cena is still “extremely difficult”.
The couple decided to call off their engagement earlier this year and the wrestling star admits it has been tough dealing with their split so publicly.
She said: “It’s extremely difficult. I get text messages all of the time whether or not I am okay, or hey, my friend saw this headline and wanted to know if it was true; it’s non-stop, and it is definitely hard, but that is why with Total Bellas me and Brie are such an open book whether you like it or not, but we know how many people are going to sit on that couch and relate to us because some of them are going through the same stuff.”
The 34-year-old star even considered asking for the cameras on ‘Total Bellas’ to stop rolling.
Speaking on the In This Corner podcast, she added: “I even showcased a lot what I went through on the previous season of Total Bellas I didn’t tell the cameras to stop rolling even though I wanted them to. But I knew that a lot of women were going through that where they thanked me for making them feel like they weren’t going through it alone and all of these different things, but then we get into the ring and go through these different storylines and people question why I would say certain things; am I really that person? It’s like, no, let’s just step back for a second and look at the situation, but that is why I really do take my storylines personal because I am a reality star now and I feel like that is a very big target for me when I do step into the ring and it’s like, you know what, I might as well just bring it here because they are going to bring it up anyway so mine as well bring it to the storylines.”

Alexa Chung releases festive range for Net-a-Porter

OHMYGOSSIP — Alexa Chung has launched a Christmas capsule collection for Net-a-Porter.
The 35-year-old model-and-designer has released a festive themed 11-piece range of clothing and accessories exclusively for the luxury online retailer, which she believes perfectly channels the holiday spirit.
The range will feature lavish evening gowns, an adorable day dress emblazoned with strawberries complete with bell sleeves, a luxe velvet tuxedo jacket, beanies, scarves and chunky cable knit jumpers.
The fashion writer launched her eponymous label last year and has admitted that although the first year of running her own line was “joyful and fun” the brunette beauty still had a lot to learn about running her own company.
She previously said: “The first year of running the business has been joyful and fun but also the whole thing has been a steep learning curve.
“Just in learning how to delegate and learning how to be creative under pressure and the fine line you have to tread when you’re trying to marry art and commerce.”
Alexa acknowledges that there are potential pitfalls attached when you launch a brand in your own name, however, thinks she’s “fared quite well” and is continuing to improve.
She said: “I think we fared quite well, I suppose the difficulty of starting a brand and calling it your own name is there will be no rest by worrying about how it is perceived, the ramifications, the stakes are higher because if they hate my brand they hate me. So if they love my brand, then they love me blah blah blah!”
“I’m getting better at giving honest feedback, at the beginning, I was just like, ‘Oh my god they’re gonna hate me if I say this.’
“But now I think they won’t because we all want the best for the brand. So it’s about making the nicest clothes we can.”

Gary Barlow encourages people to meditate daily

OHMYGOSSIP — Gary Barlow meditates daily.
The 47-year-old singer and songwriter feels meditation has helped to ease the stress of life and thinks setting some time aside for himself has really improved his health.
He said: “So actually carving out on a daily basis some time to just go, ‘I’m either gonna read, or I’m just gonna lie down with a bit of music in my years.’ And I love the meditation. I’ve got into that. But time for you is the important bit I think. We don’t really ever stop. We never stop moving. So just like lie on the floor with your feet on the sofa and either just put some classical music on or just something that takes you out of the world for 30 minutes.”
The health-conscious ‘Take That’ member revealed that clean-eating diet gurus The Hemsley sisters urged him to detox.
He recalled: “I was drinking about 19 cups of coffee a day and loads of sugar and all these other things. They said, “We’re gonna give you soup for three days and just strip your body of everything. And it was like being on acid. It was beyond a headache. It was like walking on marshmallows. And actually, I was starting to go blind. I started to go, ‘I can’t see now.’
I mean, it was so bad because I’d just been hooked on this stuff for so long. After about a week, it was nearly a stone. I mean, the weight dropped off me.”
And the ‘Rule The World’ star also revealed how the hormones released from running helped him lift periods of depression.
Speaking to Fearne Cotton on her brand new podcast ‘Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place’, he shared: “The day it all sort of started to turn and tip the scales was when I went for a run. I got those lovely endorphins.”

Kate Garraway recognised meningitis signs from GMB segments

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Garraway recognised her meningitis scare signs after seeing similar situations on previous ‘Good Morning Britain’ segments.
The 51-year-old TV presenter fell ill while backstage last month, and she had to be rushed to hospital with a high temperature and a piercing headache, and the host has revealed she noticed some symptoms because over the years she has covered lots of stories about the illness.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: “I felt really groggy for a couple of weeks, then one morning I went into GMB and my temperature shot through the roof.
“I couldn’t look at the light and I was quite delirious because my temperature was so high. We’ve done a lot of stories on the show over the years about meningitis and I was displaying some of the signs”
Kate – who has two children, Darcey, 12 and nine-year-old Billy, with husband Derek Draper – recently took some time out as she was “desperate” to spend some quality time with her family, and she was able to indulge in some “mother-daughter pampering” while away.
She said: “I was desperate for a bit of time out with Derek and the kids. On one of the days I took Darcey to the Red Lane Spa for some mother and daughter pampering, it was lovely.”
Kate also revealed that the romantic getaway has inspired her to think about renewing her vows with her husband of 13 years.
She said: “We saw a few people getting married on the beach while we were on holiday and it did make me think how nice it would be to renew our vows. Maybe we’ll do it for our 15th wedding anniversary.”

Roger Griffiths to make EastEnders return

OHMYGOSSIP — Roger Griffiths is to return to ‘EastEnders’.
The ‘Vexed’ actor will reprise his role as Keegan Baker’s (Zack Morris) father Mitch Baker on the BBC One soap later this year, and his character will attempt to make amends with his son and ex Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley).
Roger said: “It feels great to be returning to Albert Square and working with the wonderful cast and crew again, especially the fantastic Taylor family.
“I’m excited for the viewers to learn more about Mitch and see what trouble he gets himself into this time.”
Mitch has plenty of making up to do with Karen after he tried to get back with her only for the laundrette worker to discover he had a wife.
Roger has returned to filming but it’s not known whether Mitch will try to rekindle his former romance with Karen once again.
Lorraine recently admitted she would love the soap’s bosses to cast an Indian actor for her alter-ego to hook up with, after admitting she was hoping Karen and businessman Masood Ahmed (Nitin Ganatra) could get together.
She said: “I thought she was going to go in there for a bit of Asian flavour [with Masood]. I thought they were going to go there but they didn’t.
“I think she likes her Indian men. Bring someone in.”
News of Roger’s return also comes five months after Lorraine hinted the ‘Batman Begins’ star could wing his way back to Walford at some point.
She said: “She’s only had it once since Mitch, so either he comes back or she’s on the lookout.”

Pusha T blames crew for Drake diss

OHMYGOSSIP — Pusha T has blamed his on-screen Drake diss on “corny” tech staff.
The rapper – who has had a public rivalry with the star with each of them releasing diss tracks and taking personal shots – appeared to take things to another level when ‘F**k Drake’ appeared behind him at Tyler, the Creator’s 2018 Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival over the weekend.
However, he has now responded on social media and said: “Corny ass tech dude f***ing with my screens at @CampFlogGnaw. I speak for myself and all of you know how I make my statements!! Dissing anybody on screen isn’t part of my show.”
In ‘Infrared’ – taken from Pusha-T’s ‘DAYTONA’ album – the pair referenced Drake’s work with Quentin Miller on his 2015 mixtape ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’ and called his writing skills into question. Pusha insisted this was in response to Drake “questioning his authority on the streets” in ‘Two Birds, One Stone’.
Drake fired back on his own track ‘Duppy Freestyle’, rapping: “If you rebuke me for working with someone else on a couple of V’s, what do you really think of the n***a that’s making your beats?
“I’ve done things for him, I thought that he never would need. Father had to stretch his hands out and get it for me.”
But things got extremely personal, when Pusha T went one step further with ‘The Story Of Adidon’, in which he revealed that Drake has a son called Adonis with former porn star, Sophie Brussaux.
In the song, ‘The Story Of Adidon’, he says: “Since you name-dropped my fiancée / Let ’em know who you chose as your Beyoncé / Sophie knows better, ask your baby mother / Cleaned her up for IG, but the stench is on her.
“A baby’s involved, it’s deeper than rap / We talkin’ character, let me keep with the facts / You are hiding a child, let that boy come home / Deadbeat m******f****r playin’ border patrol. Adonis is your son / And he deserves more than an Adidas press run, that’s real / Love that baby, respect that girl / Forget she’s a porn star, let her be your world.”
Drake later admitted in the lyrics to his album ‘Scorpion’ – which was released in late June – that he has been “hiding the world” from his “kid”.

Morrissey mobbed on stage

OHMYGOSSIP — Morrissey had to cut short his concert in San Diego after fans stormed the stage.
The former Smiths star was playing his 1988 song ‘Everyday Is Like Sunday’ at the Copley Symphony Hall over the weekend, but a stage invasion during the encore meant the 59-year-old singer was rushed off by security.
His manager Peter Katsis has hit back at claims Morrissey was under threat or that any of his passionate fans tried to physically assault him.
In a statement on Facebook, he said: “Nobody tried to punch M last night. Morrissey’s fans are not malicious.
“The fans were simply doing what they have been doing for almost 30 years. Trying anything they could do to jump onstage and touch him, or hug him.”
While Peter admitted one fan went further than the others, he played down the incident and praised security for how they handled everything.
He added: “The fan in question was certainly more aggressive in reaching out for him than most, so security had to do their job and subdue the fan. That’s all it was. In the end no one was hurt, and no one was arrested.”
According to TMZ, Morrissey was taken off stage and didn’t return, although people in the crowd waited to see if he would come back out to finish the show.
When it became apparent the concert was over, people started to leave, and it’s reported that Morrissey didn’t do his usual meet and greet session after the event.
For recent shows, the star has been finishing with ‘Everyday Is Like Sunday’, following by The Smiths’ ‘How Soon Is Now?’, meaning fans only missed out on one song due to the abrupt ending.

Victoria Beckham named Fashion Icon

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham was named a Fashion Icon at the E! People’s Choice Awards on Sunday night (11.11.18) and she name checked the Spice Girls’ “girl power” motto in her acceptance speech.
The 44-year-old fashion designer was honoured at the glitzy ceremony at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica and although she is not part of the girl group’s 2019 reunion tour she paid tribute to her past as she stood on stage.
Referencing a lyric from their debut single ‘Wannabe’, she said: “I always told myself, ‘Dream big and then dream even bigger.’ And I wanted to show that if I can do it, anyone can do it. And what you can achieve really can be limitless … They told me at the table, they said, ‘You come all the way from London, you gotta get up there and give ’em what they want, what they really, really want.”
Victoria then spoke about how the Spice Girls’ “girl power” message is now more relevant then it was in the 90s
She added: “So many years ago, I started with girl power, and now that message is just as strong as ever but now it’s through the privilege of being able to empower women through my designs.”
Although Victoria has decided not to get back on stage with her bandmates Emma Bunton, Mel B, Geri Horner and Mel C she is wishing her friends nothing but love and support for their stadium shows.
She posted on Instagram: “I won’t be joining my girls on stage again but being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish them so much love and fun as they go back on tour next year. I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time! X (sic)”

Kim Kardashian West’s beauty artist always needs concealer

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West’s makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic says concealer still remains his go-to product when he is working with her.
The 35-year-old beauty guru – who recently celebrated 10 years of working with the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star – has revealed that some of his most “iconic looks” with Kim, 37, have happened because the duo “trust” each other and both have a say in what products they are using for her face but liquid concealer is there must-use product.
Speaking to Maria Hatzistefanis on her podcast, The Overnight Success, Mario said: “There is definitely some back and forth in everything we do. For example when we were doing one of our most iconic looks with the blue eyeshadow, Kim starting saying, ‘Oh no it’s too much!’ And I was just like, ‘No it’s not, just let me finish and you’ll see’, so she has to trust me and I have to trust her.
“We used to use really light concealer under the eye. It doesn’t make me cringe to think back on it though, people loved it and we loved it at the time.
“And although the shade of concealers has changed, the technique has always stayed the same, beginning with liquids, followed by baking before blending and finishing it off.”
Mario – who has worked as a makeup artist for all of the Kardashian clan – also revealed that he loves Kim’s sister Kylie Jenner’s beauty products and he hoards as many as he can.
He said: “I’m the biggest hoarder of Kylie Cosmetics. I literally have boxes and boxes at my house that I’m collecting. They’re just so iconic I want to keep them forever. Her black gel eyeliner is so good and is in my kit a lot.”

Willem Dafoe compares DC and Marvel

OHMYGOSSIP — Willem Dafoe loves the contrast between Marvel and DC movies.
The 63-year-old star played Norman Osborne – and his alter ego the Green Goblin – in Sam Raimi’s ‘Spider-Man’ trilogy 18 years ago, and next week he will be back in a comic book blockbuster as Vulko in James Wan’s ‘Aquaman’ film.
He told CinemaBlend: “They are different. They’re very different – because they have different aims.
“They’re working with different materials, their working with different intentions. But that’s okay! I like to mix it up because that way you don’t get stuck.
“You don’t start to believe that there’s only one way of doing things, and you don’t start believe there’s only one way of living, and you don’t start to believe there’s only a certain kind of film that’s worth making. It keeps you loose.”
The actor compared the differences between projects to his work on stage and screen, and explained it’s important to have variety when it comes to the roles and projects he takes on.
He added: “It’s beautiful, and it’s a privilege to be able to have those different experiences. And I don’t value anything in judging one against the other. I have some preferences, but I don’t lean on them.
“It’s like my relationship with theater and film. I love doing theater, but when I’m doing theater I miss film a little bit. When I’m doing film, I love it, but I miss theater! I guess it’s human nature.”
‘Aquaman’ – which also stars Jason Momoa, Amber Heard and Nicole Kidman.
