Kanye West to make comeback at BRIT Awards?

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West wants to make his comeback at the 2017 BRIT Awards.
The ‘Famous’ rapper was rushed to hospital in Los Angeles with suspected “temporary psychosis” in November – which saw him cancel the remaining dates of his ‘Saint Pablo Tour’ – and he reportedly sees the prestigious bash, which is held at London’s The O2 on February 22, and the Grammys in US as the perfect events to make his stage return.
Kanye, 39, – who has North, three, and Saint, 12 months, with wife Kim Kardashian West – is also keen to bring his famous floating stage, which was a regular fixture on the tour with him.
A source said: “Kanye has made it known that he’s available for the awards season. People are telling him to take it easy, but he’s really pushing to play the Grammys and the BRITs next year.
“He’s planning to bring his life ‘Saint Pablo Tour’ tour to the UK in 2017 anyway and the BRITs would be a great way to preview his floating stage.”
However, while the ‘Fade’ hitmaker is hoping to return early next year, his European fans will have to wait until he fulfils his previous cancelled dates in the US first.
The source told the Daily Star newspaper: “There are a few US shows that need to be rescheduled first, but the priority for next year is taking his show to Europe.
“The staging is complex, it takes a lot of planning, you have to find the right arenas.”
And it looks as though Kanye will need to think wisely about his performance choice if he is to return to the BRITs, as his performance of ‘All Day’ in 2015 was heavily-muted because of the explicit lyrics and received over 100 complaints from viewers. The source added: “Love him or hate him, he’s great box office. Anyone would be crazy to turn down a Kanye West appearance.”

Nile Rodgers confirms Chic album for 2017

OHMYGOSSIP — Nile Rodgers has confirmed Chic’s new album will be released in 2017.
The 64-year-old musician admitted he didn’t feel as though he could drop the record, ‘It’s About Time’, this year following so many deaths in the music industry and then realised next year would be the perfect time to put it out to coincide with their 40th anniversary.
He wrote: “When Prince suddenly died, it was like I’d been struck by lighting twice. It made me “see” why I named the next CHIC album “It’s About Time.” Time is so important, and what we do with it is everything.
“I flashed upon this fact: 2017 is the 40th anniversary of the world’s most influential disco in history, Studio 54. It’s also the 40th anniversary of CHIC. Our song “Le Freak” became one of Studio 54’s massive anthems.
“In 2017, we will pay homage to the club that put us on the international map by doing a series of concerts, afterparties, VIP Packages, films and singles – then drop the full album along with a BIG SURPRISE!
“In 2016, I couldn’t release an album about the joy of life in A Year of So Many Deaths. (sic)”
While the record producer admits he tried to “stay positive” after David Bowie’s shock death in January aged 69, he couldn’t bring himself to release a party album in such a sad 12 months for music.
Writing a blog post on his official website, he added: “In 2016 the music industry was under pressure. It lost so many giants to the Angel of Death. The year had barely started when David Bowie passed away. Though I’ve done dozens of albums with god knows how many superstars, David and Let’s Dance is one of the highest plateaus in my career.
“I’m a very optimistic person, but Glenn Fry and Paul Kantner died in that first month as well. The year was off to a very bad start, and the way forward through 2016 became unclear.
“Over the next few months I took some pressure off by touring with my symbolic other band, Duran Duran, and playing my own FOLD (FreakOutLetsDance) Festivals. I also collaborated on a huge amount of songs while focusing on what was most important in the world of CHIC – STAYING POSITIVE! (sic)”

Little Mix's empowering song

OHMYGOSSIP — Little Mix wanted to “empower women” with ‘Shout Out To My Ex’.
Perrie Edwards – who was previously engaged to Zayn Malik – says the girl group didn’t want their break-up song to be an emotional ballad and instead decided to keep it upbeat.
She told E! News: “When people go through break ups, you automatically want to hear really sad songs. You want to listen to [Toni Braxton’s] ‘Un-Break My Heart’ and have a little cry, get a tub of ice cream out.”
“We just thought, ‘You know what? Women need to feel empowered.’ Everybody needs to feel empowered after a break up and we feel like this song can relate to everyone because everybody’s had an ex.”
Perrie also admitted the pressures of fame can be tough on her but she feels “lucky” to have her Little Mix bandmates – Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jesy Nelson and Jade Thirlwall – by her side through everything.
She said: “I think you have to learn to have a thick skin. I think it comes with being in a girl band and being an artist. People want to know what you’re doing and what you’re up to, which is fine with us … We have each other luckily, so we experience everything together and we’ve always got each other’s backs.”
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old singer recently admitted she really feels the “pressure” of being a role model to young girls.
She explained: “I think being named role models kind of happened just naturally, we never really asked for it. Which is lovely, I love the fact that girls look up to us and we empower people and inspire them. But obviously, we’re young girls and we’re going to do silly things sometimes that can kind of put pressure on us, but we’re just being ourselves.”

Guns N' Roses didn't snub Download Festival for the money

OHMYGOSSIP — Download Festival’s organiser says Guns N’ Roses snubbing the headline slot isn’t about money.
Andy Copping – who is in charge of the line-up for the heavy metal festival held at Donington Park, Leicestershire, England in June – has revealed he was the one who suggested the ‘Paradise City’ rockers perform at London Stadium at the Olympic Park instead, and he insists the pay cheque was nothing to do with the decision Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan made to play their own show for the UK leg of their ‘Not In This Lifetime Tour’ instead.
He told the ‘That’s Not Metal’ podcast: “It’s very, very simple.
“We’d been talking to Guns N’ Roses when it was first being mooted that Duff, Slash and Axl were talking about getting back together.
“They did Coachella and then we talked about Download.
“I’ve got to be honest, and this is gonna surprise a lot of people, but it wasn’t for the money.
“To them, it was about, ‘We want to go out and do our own shows.’
“On that touring cycle in the early 90s they came to the UK three times and played at Wembley Stadium. That is huge.
“They wanted to play Wembley, but It was booked. So I said they should look at Olympic Park.”
And frontman Axl, 54, was also eager to play with his own band at the London Stadium after he performed to a sold-out crowd while he was stepping in for Brian Johnson on the ‘Highway to Hell’ hitmakers’ ‘Rock Or Bust World Tour’ earlier this year.
Andy added: “The thing that swung it for Guns N’ Roses playing at the Olympic Stadium was that AC/DC concert.
“They just wanted to go for it. They felt it was a bigger stadium, coming back for the first time as that band, that it was a bigger statement. It was nothing to do with money.”
Andy’s comments echo those of Guns N’ Roses guitarist Richard Fortus, who said their reunion wasn’t motivated by money.
Asked if money was why they reunited, Fortus said: “No. Axl has been going on, on time for years before [the reunion]. It’s been great. Is [money] the motivating factor for him? Absolutely not.
“I’ve never seen they guy motivated by money, as I’ve known him. Otherwise, this reunion would have happened a long time ago.”
This year Download will be headlined by Aerosmith, Biffy Clyro and System of a Down.
The ‘I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing’ hitmakers – fronted by Steven Tyler – will top the bill at the annual music even on Sunday June 11.
System of a Down will close the first night of the festival performing on Friday June 9.
And ‘Howl’ hitmakers Biffy – fronted by Simon Neil – will perform on Saturday June 10.
The line up also sees Rob Zombie, Slayer, Five Finger Death Punch, Of Mice & Men, Fozzy, Sleeping With Sirens, Simple Plan, Every Time I Die, The Story So Far, Motionless In White and AFI performing.

Gary Barlow: Take That can't be any less than three

OHMYGOSSIP — Gary Barlow says Take That would be no more if they lost another band member.
The ‘Back For Good’ hitmaker has opened up about the “constant battle” boy bands face to maintain their success, and has admitted that if Mark Owen or Howard Donald were to leave the group it’s unlikely they’d carry on.
He admitted: “It can’t get any less than three.”
Gary – who was previously joined by Jason Orange and part-time member Robbie Williams in the band – has just launched brand new BBC talent show ‘Let It Shine’, and has warned future boy bands that no matter how big you get, you always feel like you are being “auditioned”.
And the 45-year-old hunk has admitted he always lives in fear that people thinks he’s “not as good” as he was in the group’s prime.
He told the Metro newspaper: “We come from a time where I felt everybody was making boy bands, you couldn’t put them together quick enough. Disposable teenage boys.
“Even when you are in a group, you’ve got your record deal, the audition never really stops. People are always judging what you do. The idea that the audition is the end of it is wrong.
“If you want to be in the business on a nightly basis you are being re-auditioned.”
However, he says ensuring the group is on top form is part of the “thrill”.
He added: “It’s even harder when you’ve done well because people think, ‘He’s not as good as he used to be’.
“You are in this constant battle. At the same time, that is a thrill. Trying to up the game … that’s the long challenge.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Could It Be Magic’ hitmakers celebrate 25 years together in 2017, but won’t be performing live to celebrate for some time afterwards as they want part-time member Robbie Williams – who will go on a solo tour next year – to join them on stage, though former bandmate Jason Orange, who quit in 2014, won’t be back.
Gary recently said: “We are still trying to work out the reunion.
“We are looking at a tour in 2018 and we’ll drop the album at the very end of next year. But these things can change, at the moment that’s what we are hoping for. Robbie will hopefully come along but Jason is happy staying where he is for now.”

New record deal for Kylie Minogue

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Minogue is set to sign a new record deal with BMG UK.
The pop princess – who parted ways with Jay Z’s Roc Nation management company in 2015 following a series of professional disappointments – is reportedly planning to join her former Parlophone boss Jamie Nelson at the label, following a frantic bidding way.
The Sun reports that Universal were also keen to get Kylie, 48, to sign to them for her comeback but the star opted for BMG UK because of her previous working relationship with Jamie.
Kylie’s last album, 2014’s ‘Kiss Me Once’, under-performed in the charts and she was reportedly also disappointed that many promised sponsorship deals and endorsements never materialised so she has decided to make a break from Jay Z’s company last year.
A source said at the time: “The deal just didn’t work out for either side and she thinks they didn’t ever understand her as an artist. Her last album was nowhere near as successful as she hoped. She now wants go in a different direction.”
Kylie’s contract with Jay Z’s firm – which is home to stars such as Rihanna, Calvin Harris and Shakira – ended after the Australian leg of her ‘Kiss Me Once’ tour.
Kylie is looking to reclaim her crown as queen of dance pop and wants to build on the success of the single ‘Right Here, Right Now’ which she recorded with legendary Italian producer Giorgio Moroder.
The source explained: “Kylie’s got new music ready to go that she’s made with Nile Rodgers, Disclosure and Giorgio. She wants to take more control of her career. Kylie’s also keen to do more acting. She has signed with a big name agent in the US.”

Katy Perry teases she is working on new music

OHMYGOSSIP — Katy Perry has teased she is working on new music.
The 32-year-old singer songwriter has hinted she is set to release new material in the near future as she shared a string of videos on her social media account over the weekend of her in the recording studio with fellow musicians.
The brunette beauty posted a clip of her with her tooth coloured in with a black marker pen to her Instagram Story, which only stays on the site for 24 hours, whilst she is captured singing.
The ‘Roar’ hitmaker gave a sneak peek into what could be a new release, as she sang the lyric: “Don’t be scared to.”
This post was then followed by another clip of a guitar being strummed, which she captioned “OMG instruments”.
And during the second video other vocals can be heard in the background.
Katy previously revealed she was planning to unveil new songs in the wake of the American Presidential election, which saw Donald Trump defeat Hillary Clinton, who Katy is a devoted supporter of, to be the new leader of the USA.
Speaking previously about her musical plans, Katy said: “It’s funny, sometimes people who disagree with me just say, ‘Shut up and sing.’ Boy, will I do so in a whole new way… next year. Hell hath no fury like a woman REBORN.”
Meanwhile, the musician, who is currently dating actor Orlando Bloom, has sparked rumours the pair have got engaged as Katy has been seen sporting a jewel on her wedding finger in New York City last month.
Speaking about the couple’s romance, a source said: “She (Katy) walked with her left hand leading her, and bent her hand to show off the large sparkler to the cameras. They seemed proud to show off their happiness … Katy’s mood was better than [I] had seen before. Katy was happy and laughing, joking with Orlando and pals as they got into the car. They seemed proud to show off their happiness.”

Bruce Springsteen supported through depression by wife

OHMYGOSSIP — Bruce Springsteen’s wife helps him pull “back into his life” when he is gripped by depression.
The 67-year-old musician revealed earlier this year he was “crushed” by the disease in his early 60s, and says his spouse Patti Scialfa helps him see how “blessed” his life is when he is experiencing one of his dark periods.
He said: “Patti’s very helpful, and sometimes just time. Or sometimes the correct medication, you need the right drugs. That can really help also.
“These are all things that can pull you back into your life and certainly in my case how blessed my life has been.
“I have developed some skills that help me deal with it but still, it is a powerful, powerful thing, it really comes up and there are things that still remain unexplainable to me.”
The ‘Born in the USA’ singer admitted even now the difficult relationship he had with his father has a huge influence on his career.
Speaking to Kirsti Young on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Desert Island Discs’, he said: “I am trying to go back and make sense of things that at the time were unfathomable. That continues to this day.
“I constantly go back and I put my father’s clothes on and I walk out on stage and I present some version of him and myself to my audience. Why am I doing that?
“I am trying to find the piece of it which would lead to a transcendence over the circumstances that I grew up in.
“My dad had a sort of gruff exterior but inside he could be quite soft and sensitive.
“The qualities he had inside were the things I wore on the outside. They were just difficult for him to deal with.”
And Bruce admitted his clean-cut persona is a reaction to his “chaotic” childhood.
He said: “What I was interested in doing was creating some order and a safe environment for myself because my childhood felt very unsafe.”
The ‘Dancing In the Dark’ hitmaker also admitted he honed his dancefloor moves for hours when he was younger in a bid to impress girls.
He said: “Before I played the guitar I realised that girls loved to dance. So I spent quite a bit of time in my own mirror practising the different dance moves of the day [until] I was good enough to get the girl.”
However, he wasn’t very confident about his “pretty hideous” appearance.
He added: “I would use my mother’s hairclips to pin my hair down and then I would sleep on it exactly right on the pillow because I had Italian curly hair.”

Kelly Clarkson: I'm not a 'perfect' singer

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelly Clarkson isn’t worried about being a “perfect” singer.
The ‘Because of You’ hitmaker grew up singing classical music where she always had to be spot on but now realises it is more important to put emotion in her songs.
She said: “I have changed drastically from when I started. I grew up singing classical music, and everything had to be perfect. All of those competitions: you had to nail it, every time. That came down to tone and pitch and lyrics. So when I first started, I was really hard on myself.
“But one time at a show in Australia, I came backstage and I was so bummed [about my performance] and my manager said, ‘This is ridiculous, you did a really good job! You need to let go of the idea that you have to nail every note every time. You don’t have to have perfect pitch every time to be amazing!’ That was the point where I started letting go of that.
“I’m not perfect every time you see me, but I’m definitely having fun. I’d rather be an emotional singer than a perfect one. But learning that was a good ol’ big bridge that I had to cross. I feel like if you harp on it too much, you lose the soul and you start to sound like a robot. Which certain producers love! But I don’t!”
And the 34-year-old singer also opened up about her track ‘Piece By Piece’, which she penned about the importance of her children having their father in their life.
She told Radio.com: “I wrote that song after an intense conversation with my sister. We didn’t have a very high bar – or any bar – set for what a father figure should be like. Or what a man should be like. I think a lot of girls date someone like their father. I didn’t want to do that! I don’t know him very well, but I know that he’s awesome at abandonment. I wrote the song about how that sucked.
“I don’t think I realised how devastating that was until I was pregnant with my own child. I think, as a society, we make it the norm, ‘Oh, you grew up with your mother, you didn’t know your father.’ I think we’ve made that way too normal. I think people need parental figures in their life. And I can’t imagine not being there for my kids.”

Liam Payne insists One Direction will be back

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Payne insists he is “100 per cent certain” One Direction will get back together.
The ‘Little Things’ group went on hiatus at the beginning of the year, and despite speculation they have gone their separate ways permanently, the 23-year-old singer – who is expecting his first child with girlfriend Cheryl – insists they will reform in the future.
Asked if the band will get back together in a Twitter Q&A with fans, Liam replied: “I’m [100 per cent] certain that we will.”
But before One Direction – which also includes Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles – can get back together, Liam will be following in the footsteps of some of his bandmates and releasing solo material.
Asked when his album will be out, he told one fan: “I’m making it right now (sic)”
And he told another: “listen yeahhhhhh albums coming soon!!!!!! Hol tight for da rewind (sic)”
But his work is temporarily on hold as he’s not feeling well.
He admitted: “I am at home and am sick so I can’t record at the moment.”
Liam’s reassurance for fans comes shortly after bandmate Niall – who recently released debut solo single ‘This Town’ said it would be “ridiculous” if One Direction didn’t get back together.
He said: “At the moment we are all doing our own thing. Everyone is just enjoying just how chilled it is.
“Harry wanted do is his movie and everyone is just chilling. I don’t think anyone needs to worry about us we are fine.
“We will be back. We would be silly not to… ridiculous.”
It isn’t the first time the ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ singer has hinted at the return of One Direction either, as he previously stated there would be “plenty more” material from the boy band.
He said: “There’s going to be plenty more One Direction shows, that’s a guarantee so it’s not a case of one more show. There’s definitely more than one more 1D show coming up, that’s a fact.”

Laura Mvula inspired by girl groups

OHMYGOSSIP — Laura Mvula was inspired by girl groups.
The ‘Phenomenal Woman’ hitmaker has revealed she was a big fan of Eternal growing up and praised her parents, Paula and Elford Douglas, for introducing her to a range of music.
She said: “The popular British music of the day is still very much a part of what I do I think. You know all the girl pop groups and boy bands were in their heydey when I was growing up and for me, it was really Eternal that had the biggest impact on me. So I took inspiration from all around me, and I never really felt like anything was off limits …
“My parents listened to all kinds of music and they managed to stay really open when it came to their listening habits. They would listen to a lot of church music, and a lot of Motown and a lot of classical music in the morning time. It was always broad. I mean I wasn’t particularly conscious of it, it’s just what I was exposed to and what I clicked with.”
And the 30-year-old singer admits she was “moved” when she first Oleta Addams sing and wanted to use her voice “powerfully” like she did.
She told musicfeeds.com.au: “I guess I was always interested in jazz music, which I think is the root of my fascination with the black American experience. That was something that I was always interested by as a kid in particular when it came to making music.
“I remember the first time I heard Oleta Addams I was just so moved by how powerful her voice and her music was. Even more so because she was a dark skinned woman who played piano like me. I really identified with her and hearing her music made me want to sing and use my voice powerfully like her.”

Kanye West praises inspiring Kid Cudi album

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West has called Kid Cudi’s new album “super inspiring”.
The 39-year-old rapper took to Twitter to share a link to Cudi’s record ‘Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’ and lavished praised on it.
Kanye’s message comes after a rocky year for the collaborators, who worked together on Kanye’s ‘The Life of Pablo’ tracks ‘Waves’ and ‘Father Stretch My Hands, Pt. 1’ but were later involved in a bitter war of words.
In September, Cudi blasted Kanye and Drake in a tirade about the music industry, saying: “These n***as dont give a f**k about me. And they aint f***in with me (sic).”
However, Kanye hit back saying: “Kid Cudi, don’t ever mention ‘Ye name. I birthed you,” before later taking back his comments and calling Cudi: “the most influential artist of the past 10 years”.
And in November, Cudi – who spent time in rehab earlier this year after battling with depression and suicidal thoughts – took to Facebook to thank his collaborators, including Kanye, and his fans for all of their support.
He wrote: “Travis Scott, Pete Davidson, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, A$AP Rocky, Willow Smith, Jaden Smith, Plain Pat, Mike Dean, Josh Mond, Virgil Abloh, Victoria Justice, Pete Wentz, Monica, Wiz Khalifa, Tegan and Sara, Zayn, Raury, Scott Aukerman, Jussie Smollett, Jo Jo, Kyle, Noah Callahan-Bever, Joe La Puma, Marc Ecko, Theophilus London, Shad Moss, the whole Hot 97 crew and ALL my glorious fans across the world, Thank You for opening your hearts and extending your love and support during a troubling time. I wanted to let yall know it meant the world to me. I have nothing but love for you. Words can’t really express how much it made my heart glow. I look forward to better days. Feelin’ great and brand new. Can’t wait to run into each and everyone of you and deliver a big hug. Be ready!
“Peace, love and light to all!! Scott
“P.s. If I forgot anyone Im sorry from the bottom of my soul in advance. You’ll still get a hug (sic).”

Rita Ora working with Nile Rodgers

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Ora has been working with Nile Rodgers on her new album.
The ‘I Will Never Let You Down’ hitmaker has revealed the Chic guitarist has supplied “some cool guitar riffs” for her latest LP.
Speaking about her new music, she said: “I’ve moved on to Atlantic, finally, and I’m on a great path. I’ve worked with some incredible people, like Stargate, and I’ve really taken it back into time. Even Nile Rodgers put down some cool guitar riffs on there. I have respected musicians that I’ve loved growing up, and band members who I’ve supported on tour – like Coldplay – have given me advice, and now I’m putting it to good use.”
And the 26-year-old singer also revealed that during her label dispute, she “forgot” how much she loved music but is glad to have it back now.
She added: “What’s good is that people want to be involved, which is exciting for me; just getting back into music, which is my first love. It reminds me of who I am. While going through the transition of labels I kind of forgot that.
“Now I have the chance to just be free. I wrote everything on this record, it’s all live music, obviously mixed with some great beats. It’s all about melody and my love for soul and harmonies. It’s the first time I’ve ever been proud of my music.”
Meanwhile, Rita feels it is “very important” to represent the British youth with her album.
Asked if she has a theme for the new record, she told Billboard magazine: “Yes: London! Being from the U.K., and having that love for grime music and English rap, the Skeptas and the Giggs of the world that we’ve got [representing for] our youth, that is very important to me.
“There’s a song called ‘I’m Not Afraid,’ that talks about everything that people may think I’ve run away from. There’s a song called ‘Soul Survivor’. It’s not a dwelling record – this is a happy record. It’s about breaking through. It’s like a rebirth.”

No Longleat move for Glastonbury

OHMYGOSSIP — Glastonbury will not be moving to Longleat.
80-year-old festival founder Michael Eavis has always staged the iconic festival at his own Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset, South West England, but has been looking for a new home for the event and has been holding “very early” talks to move the musical extravaganza a short distance away to the 9,000 acre stately home estate in Wiltshire by 2019.
However, the owners of Longleat, Viscount and Viscountess Weymouth, have turned Eavis down as they are worried there would be ‘too much mud’ to clean up, the Daily Mail reports.
Michael previously stressed any move would only be for one year.
He added: “That’s its home, that is probably the best place for it, Pilton is.
“Worthy Farm is very warm, it’s full of atmosphere and character and history as well.
“But I really do need an alternative site, no doubt about it.”
And he admitted he was worried that the future of the festival is “unsafe” while they have no confirmed site.
He said: “It really worries me it keeps me awake at night worrying that we won’t have anywhere else to go for the event because it’s so successful and so huge and people love it so much. It’s a bit unsafe at the moment.”
Michael recently spoke of his preference for Longleat as an alternative music venue for the festival.
He said: “It’s the best site in the whole of England. I can see why they’ve built that house there and the hills and there is no industrial stuff around it. It’s all trees and forests and rolling hills. It’s the most beautiful site in England. There is loads of space and more room out there. We’ve still got a long way to go to make that happen.”

Will Champion feared blindness after Coldplay's Glastonbury set

OHMYGOSSIP — Coldplay’s Will Champion feared he’d blinded himself at Glastonbury.
The 38-year-old drummer accidentally poked himself in the eye with his sticks towards the end of the band’s headline set at the world-famous music festival and couldn’t enjoy the celebrations afterwards because he was in so much pain.
He said: “I hit myself in the eyeball with a drumstick on the penultimate song. I couldn’t see out of my left eye, so I was a little bit worried.
“Afterwards, everyone else was high-fiving and saying, ‘It was amazing’ and I was sort of cowering, thinking, ‘I’ve blinded myself…’
“During the song we did with Michael Eavis, I had to have my eyes closed for the whole thing cos my eye was bleeding. It was a little bit of a comedown.”
One of the highlights of the year for the ‘Adventure of a Lifetime’ group was performing at Wembley stadium, but Will – who has daughter Ava, 10, and twins Juno and Rex, eight, with wife Marianne – admits the end of the shows was surreal for him because he was back home to his family so soon after coming off stage.
He told Q magazine: “It’s a real thrill to play in London and it does feel like a homecoming.
“You feel the warmth that people are really happy to be there.
“After one of the shows, I did a runner straight from the stage.
“I had to get home with my kids and I was at home in 20 minutes when people were probably still standing in front of the stage waiting to get out of the stadium.
“That was one of the weirdest moments I’ve had actually, it was a really strange feeling, to be back in my home helping my kids get into bed and then just being in a completely quiet, empty house 20 minutes after having come off the stage at Wembley Stadium.”

Marcus Mumford was thrown out of Glastonbury

OHMYGOSSIP — Marcus Mumford was once thrown out of Glastonbury for trying to steal a sofa.
The Mumford & Sons frontman was escorted out of the VIP area of the annual music extravaganza, held near Pilton in Somerset, by security when his band was headlining two years ago because he tried to swipe the lavish furniture from his dressing room.
Speaking to Chris Moyles on Radio X on Friday (16.12.16), he said: “We came off stage and I tried to nick a sofa from the dressing room – and got chucked out They didn’t let me back in [because we were quite merry after the performance]. They’d just had enough of us by the end. And they said, ‘get out and don’t come back.”
And it seems the 29-year-old rocker doesn’t have much luck when he performs at Glastonbury as the time before last – in 2010 – he suffered a panic attack before he went on stage because it was the biggest arena they’d performed at before.
Marcus – who is married to Carey Mulligan – explained: “I’d had a panic attack the last time we played Glastonbury … So I was nervous about it anyway, because this was bigger than [the John Peel stage], and so I was just relieved more than anything else.
“And then we did a big thing at the end with Vampire Weekend and a bunch of people and it went well. And then, we came off … and I wanted a sofa! I really wanted a sofa.”
