OHMYGOSSIP — Queen Elizabeth terrified passengers with her high-speed driving.
The monarch, who loved being at the wheel of Range Rovers and Land Rovers on her country estates including Balmoral, where she died aged 96 in 2022, was also said to be a “gutsy” but “shy” woman by a former aide who has spoken out about life supporting Her Majesty.
Samantha Cohen, 56, who became one of the Queen’s most loyal and senior staff members after 18 years by her side, told the Sunday Times: “(The Queen would) drive her cars fast around Balmoral… (leaving passengers) white-knuckled.”
The ex-aide added she was amazed Elizabeth had “no ego”, and that despite being one of the world’s most famous people, was the “antithesis of celebrity”.
She said rather than being a show off who was intoxicated by her power, the Queen “took (her role in society) very seriously and performed it to perfection”.
She added the late monarch was at her happiest when she was off-duty.
And she said she loved royal tours in Australia as she found them more relaxing as “there was less protocol” than in other countries including Britain.
Samantha got close to the Queen after joining the royal family press office around 25 years ago.
She was then promoted to the Queen’s communications secretary, and her assistant private secretary.
Samantha first saw the woman who would become her future boss during the head of state’s visit to Australia in 1977 during her Silver Jubilee year.
She was a schoolgirl in Brisbane at the time, and said she was “beyond excited” to see the then-Queen in the flesh.
During her role as a senior aide, Samantha saw Elizabeth nearly every day and accompanied on her official trips to Australia in 2002, 2006 and 2011.

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Pine’s love for his animals is “profound and heart-opening”.
The 44-year-old actor has two rescue dogs and a pair of other canines he is fostering, and is so fanatical about pooches he recently released his first children’s book ‘When Digz the Dog Met Zurl the Squirrel: A Short Tale About a Short Tail’.
He told People about how he finds dogs an inspiration: “It’s myriad, small little things throughout the day, where they make you smile because they do something ridiculous.
“The love that you have with your animals is profound and heart-opening.
“Then, the practice of that heart opening over time – I can’t help but think that it bleeds into your life elsewhere.
“It just makes you more capable of loving, I think. My dogs have continued to teach me a lot.”
Chris first became a pet owner when he was a young child growing up with his father – fellow actor Robert Pine – and his mother Gwynne Gilford.
He added: “When I was seven, my parents took me to adopt a dog, and so we got Lucy.
“She was a small dog, and I had her from when I was seven until I was (in my 20s.)”
Chris said about being left heartbroken by Lucy’s death: “I was studying abroad that year, and I remember my parents calling me and telling me my dog had died, and it was shattering.
“Then I went 15 years without a dog. I was traveling a lot, working and starting my career, but then I got Wednesday, and really, it’s no hyperbole to say how that she’s taught me everything about love and patience and kindness.
“She’s just changed my life.
“I was like, ‘Why did I waste so much time (without a dog?)”
Chris also thinks being a dog owner will prepare him to become a parent, saying: “There’s so much mutual learning in some regard. It’s like, you have to teach a dog how to live in a house and how to teach a dog to be potty-trained, and you have to teach a dog what they can and can’t do.
“You’re also learning about patience.
“If they rip up a couch, how do you deal with that and how do you treat them with kindness instead of anger?”

OHMYGOSSIP — Demi Lovato’s fiancé Jordan ‘Jutes’ Lutes “almost broke down crying” during his romantic musical proposal.
The 33-year-old singer-songwriter penned a proposal song to ask for the 32-year-old singer’s hand in marriage and recalled how nerve-wracking it was getting it right on the big day, as he is not a seasoned guitar player.
Appearing on ‘The Viall Files’ podcast, he shared: “I wrote a song.
“I’m not a guitar player, but I can kind of play some chords. So it took me like, a week, just to write the chords for this song. And then I wrote a song, and then I practiced it.
He added: “Again, I’m not a guitar player, so rehearsing this song ends in ‘Will you marry me?’ was really difficult.
“I would mess up like three out of four times, so I was like when it comes time to do this like I just got to get lucky and just nail it.”
Jutes continued: “I definitely almost broke down crying a few times.”
The musician wanted to make sure Demi wasn’t expecting anything so made sure she was kept busy.
He said: “I knew that she wasn’t expecting it when I did it and that’s why I did it then … I wanted to catch her off guard.
“I mean, obviously, we had mentioned like you know wanting to be married and stuff like that.”
The ‘Cool for the Summer’ singer started planning her nuptials just weeks after the proposal in December to minimise the stress of the big day.
During a recent appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, Demi explained: “We have been planning the wedding for quite some time now. We got engaged in December and met with a wedding planner, like, a month later … [I] wanted to be ahead of it”.
When asked if she would be performing at the wedding, Demi replied: “I am not” before adding that they want the big day to be as stress-free as possible.
She added: “I want this to feel not anything like work”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Demi Moore’s ex-husband Bruce Willis is “stable” in his battle with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) .
The Hollywood actress – who was married to the ‘Die Hard’ star from 1987 to 2000 – has remained close to the 69-year-old actor in the years since their divorce as they raised their three daughters together and Demi has admitted she now has “real deep acceptance” of her former partner’s condition.
During a discussion at the Hamptons International Film Festival on Sunday (13.10.24), Demi said of her ex: “You know, I’ve said this before. The disease is what the disease is. And I think you have to be in real deep acceptance of what that is. But for where he’s at, he is stable.”
She went on to reveal she’s had to stop “holding onto” the previous version of Bruce and find the joy in the present.
Demi added: “What I always encourage is to just meet them where they’re at. When you’re holding on to what was, I think it’s a losing game. But when you show up to meet them where they’re at, there is great beauty and sweetness.”
She also revealed she saw Bruce just two days before coming to the film festival during a visit with her granddaughter Louetta – whose mum is the former couple’s eldest daughter Rumer Willis.
Demi insisted she is committed to “being able to share with whatever we have, for however long we have it”.
The ‘Ghost’ star has daughters Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 30, with Bruce and during a recent appearance on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’, Demi was asked about the advice she has given her daughters when it comes to communicating with their father,.

OHMYGOSSIP — Tori Spelling became a “cool mom” again when she took part in ‘Dancing with the Stars’.
The 51-year-old actress – who has Liam, 17, Stella, 16, Hattie, 12, Finn, 12, and seven-year-old Beau with her ex-husband Dean McDermott – was given the chance to appear on the ABC reality show earlier this year and was eliminated in the second week but admitted that everyone was “so supportive” upon her early exit.
She told E! News: “Oh my gosh, everyone has been so supportive. We had to keep it secret for a while, so when I was able to tell people, they were like, ‘Oh my god.’ It doesn’t matter how old you are, everyone watches ‘Dancing with the Stars’, something people do as a family. So I was cool with my kids again, because their friends watch it. I’m the cool mom again.”
The former ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ star found the whole process on the series to be “transformational” in a personal sense and will take the lessons she learned with her on into the future.
She said: “I got everything out of the experience. It was transformational, personally. And it was only a month in you know, we were training and working every day, and just what I got, the change I saw in myself, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, something I’ll carry with me.
“I wish it had kept going. I was like, ‘Wow, this is the best therapy I’ve ever done..”
After her elimination from the series, Dean – who split from Tori over “irreconcilable differences” in June 2023 – even came out in support of his former wife.

The 43-year-old reality superstar – who has North, 11, Saint eight, Chicago, six, and five-year-old Psalm with her ex-husband Kanye West – sat down with her eldest for a chat with Interview magazine, and the little one claimed it had been a a “long time” since she had rustled up a meal for her brood.
She said: “You haven’t cooked for us in a long time. Last time you cooked was two Halloweens ago.”
In response, Kim said: “What did I make?”
North replied: “Mac and cheese.”
Kim said: “And fried chicken and cornbread. I’m a one-trick pony. Is that one meal good?”
North confirmed that her mother’s cooking is “good” but claimed that the thing that she is exceptionally skilled at making for her is cucumbers and salt.
Asked if she could only eat one thing for the rest of her life, she replied: “Probably cucumbers and salt. I love cucumbers and salt, for real. Or onions.”
Meanwhile, North – who is working on her debut album ‘Elementary School Dropout’ and recently played Young Simba in the concert version of ‘The Lion King’ at the Hollywood Bowl in honour of the Disney film’s 30th anniversary – was asked by ‘The Kardashians’ star what she hopes to do in the future but admitted that she is already doing “a lot” of things that she enjoys right now.
She replied: “I don’t know, because I already do a lot of stuff that I want to be when I grow up. I just want to pursue my careers now.”

The 27-year-old singer is currently on the road with her ‘Casa Gomez: Otro Capítulo Tour’ and often feels that as the oldest of four siblings, she should be the most “adult” but does struggle when she is away from home.
She told USA Today: “Being Mexicana, I’m a big family person. I get homesick very easily. I’ve been doing this since I was very, very young. I’m the oldest of four kids, and I know I should be this grown adult who’s independent and doesn’t need anybody, but it gets lonely.”
But the ‘MAMIII’ hitmaker does have family support in the form of her cousin Freddy Quintana – who is also known as Awsumo – with her on the road because he works as a DJ and appears as the support act on her shows.
She said: “We’ve been performing together basically since I was born. So, I need Awsumo on the road. He is essential!”
Becky – who first found fame when she began posting covers of popular songs onto YouTube in 2011 and has since released four Spanish-language albums – also revealed that she often craves spicy food before a show, but that is just not practical, so she often opts for some Mexican shell soup once she has come off stage.
She said: “I get a little sad ’cause I can’t have a lot of spicy food before a show, so sometimes what I’ll have after shows is sopita in a vaso (cup) with Tapatío and a lot of lemon, which is also really yummy. Especially when you’re on a tour bus and don’t got a lot of options!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jelly Roll first attended court-ordered AA meetings at the age of 14.
The 39-year-old singer has opened up about his experience in “Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous” that helped inspire his song ‘I Am Not Okay,’ from new album ‘Beautifully Broken’ and revealed the “solace” he found during his time in AA.
He told host Ania Hammar during SiriusXM’s ‘The Highway’ show: “Oh goodness. I don’t fully remember my first real meeting because I was court-ordered at like 14 so I don’t remember it as much as I should.
“But, I definitely remember the first time that I found solace in those rooms, or the first time that I kind of got introduced to the concept of this. And how much stuff I’ve taken from them rooms.”
He also revealed that he has “never been more inspired than leaving an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting or a Narcotics Anonymous meeting”.
He went on: “I think everybody should experience one if you’ve never drank in your life. I still think that there is something from it that is, you know, the good ones are like good theatre. They’ll make you listen, you’ll learn, you’ll laugh and you’ll cry.”
The musician also revealed that he has changed how he approaches the release of music and only wants to share songs “that have a purpose”.
He said: “I’m looking for songs that have a purpose. When I go to put out a song under the name Jelly Roll, I think to myself, Why?

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Elton John has admitted “I don’t know how much time I have left”.
The 77-year-old musician spoke about life and death in his upcoming documentary ‘Elton John: Never Too Late’ and revealed he thinks about his own mortality now more than ever.
According to The Mirror, in one scene from the doc, Elton says: “I wonder what is going to happen to all of my stuff when I finish? This is the latter time of my life. I don’t know how much time I have left.
“You think about that more when you get to my age. You think about life and death. You think, ‘Well I just want to be where I want to be now’.
“I don’t have to work after this. I will work and do records and putting radio shows together but travelling does take so much out of you.
“It is very tiring. I am used to it. I am a veteran at it but this is where you start to think about mortality.”
The new Disney+ documentary is a look back at Elton’s career in the entertainment industry and contains never-before-seen footage of his handwritten diaries, audio tapes from some famous interviews and John Lennon joining him on stage for Thanksgiving 1974 in Madison Square Garden.
Elton and his husband David Furnish, 61, have sons Zachary, 13 and Elijah, 11, together and Elton admitted the boys also think about his mortality.
He said: “They worry as they know how old I am. Not so much David but me. They love their Daddy so they want me to be around forever.
“I want to be around forever. I want to see them have children, get married, but I don’t think I am going to be around for that. Who knows? You never know.
“So that is why I want to make the best of my time while I am around. Our time together is so wonderful and precious.”

The 61-year-old actress is regularly joined at events around the world by her micro-Chihuahua Pilaf and the pooch has embraced living the high life and only likes turning right on the plane.
Demi laughed to Britain’s HELLO! magazine: “She’s like my little friend, my partner.
“She stretched out on that Air France La Premiere flight. She loved it, She’s my little travel mate and she’s just a joy.
“I usually have her in my little sling.
“We go everywhere – she’s been to the French Open, the Louvre, and Broadway shoes.
“She just saw ‘Romeo and Juliet’ with Tom Holland in London. She was quite moved. She thought the performance was extraordinary, as it was.”
Pilaf has almost 30,000 followers on her own Instagram account and Demi thinks she has a natural star quality about her.
She said: “She is quite a star. She’s had ore write-ups than you could ever imagine. Who knew?
“She is a pound and a half, the runt of her litter.
“She is a star and she knows it – that’s the thing. But she knows it in a way that she owns it.”
Meanwhile, ‘The Substance’ actress urged people to be less “judgemental and closed” and more willing to help others and be compassionate.
She said: “As humanity, we need to start exercising a little bit more compassion for ourselves and for each other.
“We all fall down at some point and it’s how we choose to pick ourselves up.
“I think we need to be less judgmental and less closed and reach out a little bit more to help each other up.”
Demi also believes people are too hard on themselves.
She said: “We’re getting further away from allowing ourselves to make mistakes.

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift reportedly hosted an intimate birthday for her boyfriend Travis Kelce after being absent from the 35th party he had with friends.
The ‘Bad Blood’ singer, 34, who has been dating the NFL player since summer of 2023, reportedly took her partner and his family to sushi hotspot Noka, along with her father Scott.
A source told Page Six about the party on October 6, a day after he turned 35: “It was an intimate affair and it was a very early night since the Kansas City Chiefs played the New Orleans Saints the next day.”
Noka didn’t confirm the party, and even though it is closed on Sundays it is available for private events.
Taylor wasn’t at Travis’ birthday party with pals after she also missed his past two NFL games.
But a source said the only reason she wasn’t at the matches was because she has been in rehearsals to resume her ‘Eras Tour’ in Miami on 18 October.
Taylor is set to resume the final leg of her record-breaking tour in Miami on October 18 for a three-night run at the city’s Hard Rock Arena.
She last week made a huge donation to help with relief efforts for damage from the recent hurricanes Helene and Milton, the latter of which wreaked havoc when it hit Florida as a category 3 storm on 9 October.
Food bank network Feeding America posted on Instagram late that night a statement thanking Taylor for a “generous $5 million donation” toward relief efforts.
The statement, attributed to the charity’s CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, said: “This contribution will help communities rebuild and recover, providing essential food, clean water, and supplies to people affected by these devastating storms.
