The ‘Sex and the City’ actress took to social media to pay tribute to her late father, professor and researcher Tom Atkinson, after her family held a gathering to “celebrate his life”.
Kristin – who is best known for playing Charlotte York Goldenblatt in the HBO series – told how her dad had left specific instructions for the event, which featured a performance by a jazz band.
She wrote on Instagram: “My Dad passed away recently and the family gathered for the celebration of his life that he had left detailed instructions for. It was a beautiful celebration with a jazz band. We all learned new things about him, because he lead an extraordinary life.
“He was born in a cabin on a river in North Carolina and ended up giving speeches all over the world about his research in psychology. He was born to be a teacher and loved it so much. He was brilliant and bright and people loved him.
“For the last decade he lived with Parkinson’s. I think about the devotion with which my mother cared for him( and his doctors and nurses and home health care!) and I’m so grateful for the support he got, and the perseverance he showed in a very real and difficult struggle. (sic)”
Kristin – who has children Gemma Rose, 11, and Wilson, five – feels “grateful” her father “lit up” her family’s lives and left them with “so much”.
She added: “I know many of you are probably caring for people in your life, and I know how my love and energy it takes. Thinking of our whole family and especially my Mom. We love you dad and we are so grateful you lit up our lives and left us with so much (sic)”
Kristin’s ‘Sex and the City’ co-star Cynthia Nixon commented: “Kristin, this is so beautiful. He would be so proud to be honored by you in this way. And I know it means a lot to your mom, too. You were such a trooper at work both before and after he passed. I can imagine how very hard that [must] have been.
“You are and always have been such an amazing daughter to both your parents, as you are an amazing mom to both your kids. I hope you can find time to be good to yourself and take the space to grieve for him for yourself. I love you. (sic)”

John Stamos wears bald cap in ‘solidarity’ with Dave Coulier after cancer diagnosis

OHMYGOSSIP — John Stamos has worn a bald cap to show “solidarity” with Dave Coulier.
The 61-year-old actor has shown his support for his former ‘Full House’ co-star during his cancer battle, just days after he revealed he has been diagnosed with stage 3 Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Sharing photos of himself shaving his friend’s head on Instagram, he wrote: “Nothing like throwing on a bald cap and flexing some Photoshop skills to show some love and solidarity with my bro @dcoulier.
“You’re handling this with so much strength and positivity — it’s inspiring. I know you’re going to get through this, and I’m proud to stand with you every step of the way. I love you.”
And he added a sweet tribute to Dave’s wife Melissa Coulier, describing her as “the most wonderfulest” and his pal’s “true life line”.
She replied to the post: “We love you, so much.”
John and Dave have been close friends since starring on the 1990s sitcom together.
When Dave shared his diagnosis, John immediately promised to be by his side.
He wrote on Instagram last week: “My brother from day 1. Love you @dcoulier and I’ll be by your side through it all.”
The 65-year-old actor was diagnosed just five weeks before he revealed the news publicly.
He told ‘TODAY’ host Hoda Kotb: “In that time, I’ve had three surgeries, I’ve had chemo, I’ve lost a little bit of hair.
“I kind of look like a little baby bird now, but it has been a roller coaster ride for sure.”
Dave revealed he is battling “a very aggressive type of lymphoma”, but he’s glad that the cancer hasn’t spread.
He added: “At that point, the curability rate went up to 90 plus percent. So it’s very treatable.”
And he had told his wife he would be “OK with whatever the news” is amid his health battle.
He said: “I can’t explain where that came from. I’ve had an incredible life. I’ve had the most amazing people in my life.
“This has been an extraordinary journey, and I’m OK if this is the end of the journey.”

Tom Hardy based Venom voice on his dog

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Hardy based his Venom voice on his dog.
The 47-year-old actor portrays Eddie Brock and the symbiote for the final time in ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ and he admitted the distinctive tone developed from how he imagined his pet would sound if he could talk, along with a number of other influences.
He told Best magazine: “The voice actually came from how I think my dog would sound if he could talk.
“I kind of do his voice and that became similar to the voice I do as Venom.
“It’s a mix of my dog’s voice, Richard Burton, Busta Rhymes and Method Man. And a bit of James Brown in there too.
“But it’s not all me. I can’t just do it if people stop me in the street and ask me to, but it is my voice with a lot of help from the sound guys.”
Tom can “empathise” a lot with his character because he recognises he is a “flawed human being”.
He said: “I feel like I have that voice inside me in a similar way – only mine doesn’t turn me into a monster and make me act on it.
“But yeah, I have an inner voice in the same way I think all of us have – which is part of what makes Eddie a fascinating character.
“I empathise with him as being a flawed human being. He’s trying to do the right thing but he does some bad things in trying to get there.
“I do identify with that paradox as part of the human condition.”
Tom is going to miss playing Eddie now his time in the franchise is over.
He reflected: “I’ve loved it. I’ve had a great time playing this character or characters and making these movies… and with so many talented people.
“It’s not really sunk in that this is the end but I’m sure it will.
“This has been one of the best things I have ever done. I’m going to miss it.”

Tallulah Willis believed she was ‘lazy’ before autism diagnosis

OHMYGOSSIP — Tallulah Willis believed she was “lazy” before being diagnosed as autistic.
The 30-year-old actress revealed in March that testing had confirmed she is neurodiverse and while it is “really powerful” to be able to articulate her needs now, it took her some time to accept herself for who she is.
She told Britain’s HELLO! Magazine: “The first line that said, ‘You are level one autistic’ [on the assessment], it still didn’t feel real.
“I thought someone would take it away or invalidate it and tell me I was wrong, that I was lying, and that this wasn’t true…
“I had to give myself a little bit of grace first.
“I really believed these truths from the world that I was less than, lazy, not operating the right way,
“Then, when I got my diagnosis, I thought, ‘Am I allowed to let go of all that self-judgement?’
“And yes, I just needed a different tool kit, but it took me a minute.
“But there was definitely a joy in sharing.”
Tallulah – who is the daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis – praised her older sisters, Rumer, 36, and 33-year-old Scout, for their support in helping her navigate her condition.
She said:” They have encouraged me to ask for what I need in situations where I’m more used to masking.
“Them saying. ‘Hey it’s OK to take a beat and ask, “Is this OK? What do I need at this moment? Am I overwhelmed?” ’ opened up a space for me to speak up, because there was a fear of being labelled as high-maintenance or difficult.”
And Tallulah has learned how to better look after herself.
“I can speak up for what I need and know what I need.
“I would have days when I thought I was sick all the time but now I know that I need to be conscious of how I spend my energy.
“In the run-up to this year’s Autism Speaks gala, knowing that it was going to be an exciting night, I spent the previous two days doing low-impact activities so that I wasn’t overcooked by it.
“The diagnosis gave me permission to not have to fight through things all the time.”

Eddie Redmayne’s spy cover busted by tourists

OHMYGOSSIP — Eddie Redmayne’s attempts to hone his spying skills were thwarted by a group of tourists.
The 42-year-old actor can currently be seen as an undercover assassin in the TV remake of ‘The Day of the Jackal’ and he enjoyed trying to track people using the techniques he was taught during his preparation – but one mission he thought he was “doing really well” in was halted when he was recognised in a busy area of London.
He told Britain’s HELLO! Magazine: “I worked with Paul Biddiss, our brilliant military espionage advisor.
“He taught me all of these techniques, like how to walk down the street and see people in car window reflections and car mirrors.
“I had to walk through Covent Garden in disguise and he would send me photos of people I was meant to track.
“I was tracking this one person, thinking I was doing really well and staying completely undetected, until a group of tourists stopped me and asked for a selfie. That was a little bit embarrassing.”
Though Eddie is unsure if he’d make a convincing spy in real life, he did pick up some useful tips.
Asked if he thinks he’d be a good spy, he laughed: “I’m not sure about that.
“I’ve learned some really handy tips though. One is that if you’re being chased, have your hand in your pocket so you can use the butt of your phone as a weapon if you need it. Or use change as some sort of shrapnel to throw in your attacker’s face.
“The other thing I learned was how some soldiers carry tampons to stem the bleeding if they are shot.”
The series saw the Oscar-winning actor spend hours getting into character as prosthetics experts crafted his various disguises.
He said: “It was a lot of time spent in make-up, working with the most brilliant prosthetic artists.
“The prosthetics take about four hours to put on and two hours to take off, so it was a lot.
“Seeing the process he goes through to stay undetected and then having that moment when he peels off the mask for the big reveal is something I really love about the role.”

Gabrielle Union quits X

OHMYGOSSIP — Gabrielle Union has quit X.
The ‘Bring It On’ actress has declared “enough is enough” and is stepping back from the social media platform, citing the return of “volatile” individuals to the app, as well as changes to the terms of service, which include all tweets, videos and photos being made available to train artificial intelligence bot Grok.
She wrote in her final post: “There are pivotal moments in life when we must declare that enough is enough—and for me, today is that day.
“Platforms like X were founded on authentic connections, true engagement, and creative expression, all anchored in respect for user privacy and trust.
“Yet, with the recent and upcoming changes to the terms of service—and the return of volatile figures—I find myself at a crossroads, facing a direction I can no longer fully support.
“I am committed to engaging in spaces that truly value inclusivity, respect, and integrity in the digital world. Sometimes, that means recognizing the last straw and knowing when to step away.”
But Gabrielle reassured fans she will still be using other platforms
She added: “To everyone I’ve connected with here, thank you for the laughs, the insights, and the endless support. I am not disappearing completely!
“You can still find me @gabunion on Instagram, Threads, TikTok, Bluesky, Spill and Facebook linked in my bio, where we can continue building meaningful connections and positive vibes.(sic)”
The move comes after Jamie Lee Curtis also quit the platform.
She shared on Instagram an image showing her account on X – which was known as Twitter before being taken over by Elon Musk – had been “deactivated” and captioned her post with a quote from the ‘Serenity Poem’.
She wrote: “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change. Courage to change the things I can. And the wisdom to know the difference.”
Her decision came hours after President-Elect Donald Trump had announced he was appointing Musk to lead his new Department of Government Efficiency.

Tilda Swinton hints at retirement

OHMYGOSSIP — Tilda Swinton has declared she has made her final movie.
The 64-year-old actress admitted every time she makes a film she contemplates walking away from the industry on a high only to change her mind when a new offer comes in, but at the moment, she can’t see herself doing anything beyond ‘The Room Next Door’, one of two movies she has due for release next month.
She told America’s Elle magazine: “I’ve always intended that each film would be my final one. It was not wanting to jinx anything because I have had such fun from start to finish.
“I always thought, ‘Well, that’s a good one to go out on. Let’s just quit while we’re ahead.’
“And I feel it today. I feel ‘The Room Next Door’ is the last film I make. Let’s see if anything else happens.”
Tilda – who will also feature in ‘The End’ next month – has always appreciated the close working relationships she has forged with her directors over the years and doesn’t think she’d have been “interested in working” at all without those “familial” bonds.
She said: “My original drug that got me into filmmaking in the first place is to work collectively, to work in very close communication with filmmakers.
“And I started with Derek Jarman in 1985 and worked with him for nine years. And by the time he died in 1994 of AIDS, I was hooked, but it was tricky because I was hooked and then he left.
“But fortunately, there are other people who want to work in that way, from Sally Potter, who asked me to play and make ‘Orlando’ with her, to [director] Susan Streitfeld and [producer] Mindy Affrime, who asked me to make ‘Female Perversions’ with them.
“And then I’ve gone on into very close familial bonds with Lynn Hershman Leeson, Wes Anderson, Bong Joon Ho, and Luca Guadagnino.
“I’m really grateful, because I don’t know that if I hadn’t continued to find these families, if I would be interested in working.
“I don’t think of myself as an industrial animal at all, you know, the way in which industry tends to divide people up and tends to concentrate on individual skills. My skill, if I have anything, is finding collaborators.”

Mike Tyson ‘almost died’ this year

OHMYGOSSIP — Mike Tyson “almost died” in June.
The 58-year-old former heavyweight champion lost in a controversial comeback fight against Jake Paul on Friday (15.11.24) night but had “no regrets” and wasn’t feeling too disheartened because he viewed being fit enough to get back in the ring after an ulcer forced him to postpone the bout, which had originally been due to take place in July.
He posted on X on Saturday (16.11.24): “This is one of those situations when you lost but still won. I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to get in ring one last time.
“I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won.
“To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. Thank you [prayer emoji] (sic)”
Jake, 27, was quick to offer support to his opponent.
He replied: “Love you Mike. It was an honor. You’re an inspiration to us all.(sic)”
After the fight, the social media star admitted he had gone easy on Mike because he “didn’t want to hurt” him and deliberately didn’t push for a knockout when he saw his opponent was struggling in the ring.
Asked if he had eased off during the post-fight press conference, Jake said: “Yeah, definitely a bit. I wanted to give the fans a show, but I didn’t want to hurt someone that didn’t need to be hurt.
“I tried to give the best fight I possibly could but when someone’s just surviving in the ring basically, it’s hard to make it exciting.
“I couldn’t really get him to engage me or slip shots and do something super cool or whatever.”

She told People: ” [I’m] pissed because I was celebrating my thickness. So I am, yes, very much mourning the loss of my 141 pounds.

“I was getting legs, hips and body. I was so happy to be thick. It was fun!”
The former ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ star also noted that she relished in her time expecting a baby and that came as “shock” to her because she assumed she would loathe it.
She said: “I loved being pregnant, which is also a shock because I thought I was going to hate it. And I was so afraid of being sick and not accepting the changes in my body and just all of the unknown things that you read about.

“I loved every bit of my pregnancy. It was the most amazing experience ever. I almost mourn the fact that I’m not pregnant anymore because I loved it so much.”
Candiace previously explained that the little one had brought a type of “joy” into her life that she never could have imagined.

Little House star Melissa Gilbert only ‘found herself’ after leaving Los Angeles for a quieter life

OHMYGOSSIP — Melissa Gilbert only found herself “as a woman” once she left Los Angeles.
The 60-year-old actress starred on the NBC Western series ‘Little House on the Prairie’ as a child and continued to work throughout the 1980s and 1990s but eventually left the glamorous city for Michigan and immediately began a healthier lifestyle to relieve the “pressures” of showbiz.
She told FoxNews Digital: “I looked at myself in the mirror several years back. I was living in Los Angeles, and I did not recognize who I was. I had overfilled my face and my lips. My forehead didn’t move. I was still dyeing my hair red. I was driving a Mustang convertible. I was a size two in an unhealthy way. I looked like a frozen version of my younger self, and that’s not who I was .
“I was stuck. could feel myself fighting it. And I said to myself, ‘It’s time to age.’ I had to leave Los Angeles to do that – not Hollywood – Los Angeles specifically.
“I stop colouring my hair. I had [my] breast implants removed. I decided to just be the best, healthiest version of myself without this pressure to look a certain way, and it paid off in a huge way.
“I finally found my feet as a woman, fully, 100 percent strong in my own knowledge, in my own accomplishments. Everything got easier. And a bonus? I have a lot more free time not staring in a mirror, sitting in a dermatologist’s chair, or sitting in a hair chair.”
Nowadays, Melissa lives in the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York.
The former ‘Dancing with the Stars’ contestant – who is now married to Timothy Busfield but has son Dakota, 35, with her first husband Bo Brinkman and 28-year-old Michael with her second husband Bruce Boxleitner – also admitted that as she has aged, she and her husband have “fallen more and more in love” as the years have gone on.
She said: “I think as I’ve aged, we’ve just fallen more and more in love with one another, which is such an extraordinary gift. And I think that’s for so many reasons. I think for him, I am much more myself and so much more comfortable in my own skin because I’m through menopause because I am at this age.”
“I love that we are together now at this point in our lives.”

Michelle Yeoh feels ‘huge sadness’ over her inability to have children

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Yeoh feels “huge sadness” over her inability to have children.
The 62-year-old actress was initially married to Dickson Poon from 1988 until 1992 and it became apparent during that time that she was unable to conceive but she now has six godchildren – one of whom is the daughter of her ex-husband – and she generally has “no regrets” in life because she has given it her all.
She told The Sunday Times: “Maybe that is the biggest sadness in my life, that I cannot have kids. But the beauty is that I have six godchildren, many nephews and nieces. I don’t live with regrets because I have always given it my 110 per cent. I did everything to make it work, and sometimes even that is not enough, you have to be able.
“In life we say, you have to not go around holding your hands like this, you have to learn to let go, and sometimes letting go helps you move forward..”
The ‘Wicked’ star – who tied the knot with Jean Todtsince in 2023 almost 20 years after they initially met – recently claimed that her fertility issues were, in part, what led to her divorce from Dickson.
Speaking on ‘The Goop Podcast’, she said: “We did whatever was necessary (to have children). Unfortunately, I was physically unable to.
“I knew my ex really wanted a big family… not just one son, but two sons or three even better. He was working hard for a big empire and he needed sons to carry on his lineage.
“I don’t know how women in our line of work juggle being pregnant, having a baby, going back to work… I’m not a multitasker.”

Christina Hall slams Josh Hall as ‘insecure’ amid their divorce

OHMYGOSSIP — Christina Haack has described Josh Hall as “insecure” amid their divorce.
The 41-year-old star called time on her marriage to Josh in July over “irreconcilable differences” and has now claimed that she didn’t enjoy filming their HGTV project as much as she normally would with him by her side.
Asked about how she felt when hosting ‘The Flip Off’ wish Josh, she told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “When someone [feels] insecure by you and doesn’t like to see you win, that really puts a damper on everything.
“I feel, like, I was not shining as bright to try and not make him feel emasculated, but who wants to live like that?”
The ‘Christina in the Country’ star was supposed to be making ‘The Flip Off’ with Josh, but following their acrimonious break-up, it seems she is now working with her ex-husband Ant Anstead – who she divorced in 2021 after two years of marriage – on the series instead as they were recently seen with a film crew.
A source told E! News the former couple had shared several “light-hearted” conversations during filming.
The onlooker added: “Even when cameras weren’t rolling, they seemed very chummy.
“It appeared they had really good rapport with one another.”
Christina’s first ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa – the father of her children Taylor, 13, and eight-year-old Brayden – and his wife Heather Rae El Moussa are also working on the show but were not pictured.
Christina recently blasted Josh for his “outrageous” demand for $65,000 in spousal support.
In documents obtained by People magazine, she wrote: “Josh Hall is requesting $65,000 per month in spousal support from [Christina] on a 2 year, 9 month marriage, which is outrageous when he is self-supporting.”

Paul Mescal is still ‘chasing the feeling’ he got when he performed in high school plays

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Mescal is still “chasing the feeling” he got when he performed in school plays.
The 28-year-old actor performed the title role in a school production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s classic musical ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ when he was a teenager and even though he has gone onto Hollywood superstardom since then, is still craving the “adrenaline” he felt when he made his debut on stage.
Speaking on ‘CBS Sundays’, he said: “I’m still chasing that feeling again [from high school], nothing has ever really come close to that feeling. I know that’s sounds absolutely bizarre. I think because it felt physically dangerous in my body to be exposed to an audience of people who knew me as somebody who played sport. The adrenaline was extraordinary.”
The ‘Gladiator II’ star grew up in County Kildare, Ireland with a police offer mother and a father who worked as a schoolteacher.
Asked if he has ever become used to the attention that fame has brought him, he admitted: “Within reason.”
The ‘Normal People’ actor explained that he wants to keep some distance between himself and the characters that he plays on screen, and noted that his relationship with his celebrity status is “ever-changing” as time goes on.
He said: “You don’t want an audience to know you innately. [My relationship with fame] is ever-changing, I think.”
Paul recently admitted that when his new epic historical action film comes out that he will be “profoundly depressed” if he simply becomes even more famous.
Asked how life may change when the film comes out, he told Sunday Times Culture magazine: “I don’t know what the difference will be. Maybe that’s naive? Is it just that more people will stop you in the street? I’d get profoundly depressed if that’s so.
“If the film impacts my life in that way I’ll be in a bad spot. I’d have to move on and do an obtuse play nobody wants to see.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Josh Radnor “loves” married life.
The 50-year-old actor tied the knot with clinical psychologist Jordana Jacobs, 36, in January 2024 and as they approach their first anniversary together, he has admitted that he particularly looks forward the part of the day where he can “reconnect” with his wife after work.
He told People: “It’s fantastic. I love it. I love.
“I know you’re supposed to say that, but I actually love it.
“I mean, we sometimes don’t see each other during the day because of work stuff, so I love waking up together and then reconnecting at the end of the day. And we keep saying, ‘Let’s catch up. We need to catch up,’ so we’ve been doing a lot of that.”

Cher was left ‘exhausted’ by writing her memoir: ‘I can’t change the past…’

OHMYGOSSIP — Cher was “exhausted” by writing her memoir.
The 78-year-old pop icon has explored her life and career in the first volume of a two-part tome simply titled ‘Cher’ but admitted that the whole process of combing over several decades “took it out” of her although she is aware that she “can’t change” the past.
She told The New York Times: “This book has exhausted me. It took a lot out of me. Too much life. Lived too long.
“People can say what they want. It’s who I am. I am who I am. I can’t change it.”
The ‘Believe’ songstress shot to fame alongside her then-husband Sonny Bono – with whom she has 55-year-old son Chaz – as part of a duo in the late 1960s but the pair had a tumultuous relationship that ended in divorce in 1975.
During their time together, Sonny arranged their finances so that Cher became his employee and she was initially unaware of this but she just wishes to this day she could ask her late husband – who died in 1998 in a skiing accident at the age of 62 – why he had done that in the first place.
She said: “He took all my money just thought, We’re husband and wife. Half the things are his, half the things are mine. It didn’t occur to me that there was another way.
“To this day, I wish to God I could just ask, ‘Son, at what point, during what day, did you go, ‘Yeah, you know what? I’m going to take her money.’”
The ‘I Got You Babe’ singer then married Gregg Allman that same year, and they had Elijah, 48, together but divorced in 1979 and she has been dating music executive Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards, 38, since November 2022.
