Finn Wolfhard believes he saw ghost while filming ‘It’

OHMYGOSSIP — Finn Wolfhard believes he saw a ghost while filming ‘It’.
The actor, 21, who made his name acting in a supernatural hit ‘Stranger Things’, starred in the 2017 movie adaption of Stephen King’s horror book of the same name, and said he is convinced an “electrician” dressed head-to-toe in black on the set he saw with his co-stars was really a poltergeist.
Finn told People: “I’ve been in a lot of supernatural movies and TV shows, but ironically, I’ve never really seen a full-on ghost.
“But there was a time when I was a kid shooting ‘It’ in this abandoned mansion in Toronto, and me and a bunch of the other cast were exploring the floors.
“We went up to the top floor and there was one room where we saw a guy in black just kind of doing electrician work, and we were just like, ‘Okay, that’s just a crew member’.
“But then later, we found out that no one knew who that was, and no one ever saw him again.
“It could have been someone just messing around, but, yeah, it was pretty scary.”
Finn’s other horror projects have included ‘The Turning’ and ‘The Addams Family’ as well as ‘Ghostbusters’ reboot ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’.
‘It’ saw Finn play the child version of Richie Tozier – one of a gang of children who call themselves The Losers Club who are terrorised by a demonic being that appears in the form of Pennywise the Clown, played by Bill Skarsgård.
The movie also starred Sophia Lillis, Jaden Lieberher, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer and Jeremy Ray Taylor.
‘It’ was the first of a two-part movie adaptation of Stephen King’s 1986 novel, with the first installment followed two years later by 2019’s ‘It: Chapter Two’.
It saw Bill Hader play the adult version of Finn’s Richie character, with Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, James Ransone and Andy Bean taking over as the other grown-ups from The Losers Club.

Kate Winslet reveals ‘door’ in ‘Titanic’ finale wasn’t a door

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Winslet has revealed the “door” in the much-debated ‘Titanic’ finale wasn’t a door.
The 49-year-old actress played Rose Dewitt Bukater alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, also 49, as Jack Dawson in filmmaker James Cameron’s 1997 film about the doomed Titanic liner, with the film controversially ending with Kate’s character surviving as she sits on what appeared to be a floating door while Jack clings to the side before freezing to death to apparently avoid adding his weight to the wood and causing it to sink with the ship.
Kate has now told her interviewer on Australian talk show The Project when asked if there was “room on the door” that would have saved her lover Jack’s life: “I thought, ‘He’s busting out the Titanic question and next he’s gonna ask me about the door.’
“I absolutely knew it. But, you know, what I will say that’s really interesting is people keep referring to it as a door. It actually wasn’t even a door.
“It’s a piece of bannister, like stairway or something, that had broken off.
“Who knows if (Jack) could’ve (fitted) on there or not.
“Honestly, I don’t have any insights here that anyone else hasn’t already tried to figure out.”
Armies of ‘Titanic’ fans are still outraged Rose didn’t let Jack share space on the “door”, and still run online forums discussing the scene.
‘Titanic’ director James Cameron, 70, is said to have commissioned a scientific study to determine if there was enough room for both Jack and Rose, with the director and a team of scientists apparently using two stunt doubles to reenact four different scenarios.
He said last year: “Jack might’ve lived, but there’s a lot of variables. I think his thought process was, ‘I’m not gonna do one thing that jeopardizes her’.”
Kate said during a 92nd Street Y question and answer session to promote her new war photographer drama ‘Lee’ her ‘Titanic’ co-star Leonardo has probably developed “PTSD” from being asked so many times about the door scene.

Chase Stokes shared relationship with Kelsea Ballerini before it was official between the pair

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelsea Ballerini “loves” how proud Chase Stokes is of their relationship.
The 31-year-old singer recalled how the ‘Outer Banks’ star made their romance Instagram official back in January 2023 before they had “even had the conversation” as to whether they were “together”.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, she said during a game of ‘Sip or Spill’: “I think it is very underrated for a man to be really proud of his relationship.
“[He posted that photo] before we even had the conversation of like, ‘Are we together?’
“Even as a very independently-wired woman, I love when he’s like, ‘This is us. Here we are.’ He full-sent that.”
The photo, which was posted on January 13, 2023 and captioned: “Lil recap”, did not have their faces visible, but Kelsea was tagged in the post, which showed them snuggling up to each other at a football game.
The pair went official as they walked the CMT Music Awards red carpet together in April 2023.
Meanwhile, Chase recently praised Kelsea as a “great person”.
The 32-year-old actor said on ‘Today’: “I truthfully think when you find somebody who’s not just somebody you love and adore, but is also your best friend, you’ve kind of got the best of both worlds.
“And she’s not just a great person, but everything that you see — whether it be on social media or when she’s on stage — is exactly the person she is when she’s not doing those things.”
And the pair are committed to making things work and putting in the effort for their relationship, even when work keeps them apart for long periods of time.
Chase recently told People magazine: “We don’t BS each other. If we need to make the effort to show up when one’s across the country, we do. The amount of effort that we put into our careers, we should be doubling that in our personal lives. It’s about really putting in effort, and it’s not always easy and it’s not always convenient, but having a big, beautiful life didn’t come from convenience or ease.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Melanie Lynskey has praised Jason Ritter as a “true feminist”.
The ‘Yellowjackets’ actress – who has a five-year-old daughter with her actor husband – admitted balancing work and family life has “been tricky” but she is grateful that her husband is so supportive and they are “really lucky” to both be very busy with their careers.
She told People magazine: “It’s so wonderful that his job is in Los Angeles so our daughter has someone consistent to be home with her.
“We’re very fortunate to both be working. It’s a really difficult time in our industry, so many of our friends are not working. So I think we’re really lucky to be in the position that we’re in.”
The 47-year-old star noted she and the ‘Matlock’ actor are “very lucky” to have a “great nanny” in both Los Angeles and Canada where they work.
She added: “We’re able to have help, which is like a huge, huge privilege. And so we definitely have a support team.
“And then I have a great husband who really is, like a true feminist. He does so much.”
Melanie admitted there is “always going to be some kind of sacrifice” when it comes to her and Jason’s careers because of their daughter, but they try to ensure one isn’t more disadvantaged than the other.
She said:
“We try to make it so that one of us is always going to be at home with her, because now she’s at school and she can’t travel.
“It means you can’t take every job that comes, which, you know, sometimes there are tough decisions to be made, but we do the best we can.”
The ‘Last Of Us’ actress previously praised her 44-year-old husband for being the “most supportive person in the world”.
She told People magazine: “He’s the most supportive person in the world. The last few years we’ve had this role of like, whoever’s job makes the most sense, whether it’s the most exciting career wise or it’s more money, we would prioritise the one that was going to help move the person’s career forward.”
She went on to insist Jason is “getting offered stuff all the time” but has been turning down jobs so his wife can work.
Melanie added: “It’s like genuinely sacrificing.”

Jelly Roll sheds 100lbs

OHMYGOSSIP — Jelly Roll has lost 100lbs.
The 39-year-old country singer has been working hard to overhaul his lifestyle and despite hitting a major milestone in his journey, he’s got no plans to ease off just yet.
He said in a video shared to Instagram: “Next year when y’all see me, you won’t recognise me.
“I’m going to get under a pile of weights in a way that I never had.”
Jelly’s nutrition coach, Ian Larios, also talked through the meals and snacks he has been preparing for the ‘Need a Favor’ hitmaker during his ‘Beautifully Broken’ tour.
He said: “We just passed the halfway point of the tour, and Jelly’s been crushing it.
“We’re either walking [around] the arena, playing basketball, boxing.
“He just surpassed his 100-pound weight loss.”
The ‘Save Me’ singer has been on a high-protein diet and Ian showed off a “little bit fancier” version of the star’s favourite pre-show snack, a banana, but topped with Manuka honey, stevia and dark chocolate shavings to “fuel him before a show”.
After his gig, Jelly enjoys Nashville hot chicken, which the nutritionist has been making healthier by “taking away the oil and the batter from it.”
Preparing a coating for the chicken made with potato flour and a “little bit” of rice flour, he noted: “We’re still having a high-protein meal.”
The chicken is then served with French fries coated in bone brother, which “ups the protein in it, but it also makes it have that nice crunch to it, because we air fry it.”
He added: “So it tricks your brain into thinking that this is, like, that nice greasy Nashville deep-fried hot chicken. He’s gonna feel like he’s eating at home.
“It’s healthy. It’s air-fried. It’s full of protein, and it helps him stay on track.
“That 100-pound weight loss goal from last tour is huge.”
In April the ‘Son of a Sinner’ hitmaker – whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord – admitted he had been “really kicking a**” in his mission to lose weight.
He told People magazine: “I’m probably down 70-something pounds. I’ve been really kicking a***, man. I’m doing two to three miles a day, four to six days a week. I’m doing 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna, six minutes in a cold plunge every day. I’m eating healthy right now.”

People ‘mad’ at Bethenny Frankel because she looks ‘better’ now

OHMYGOSSIP — Bethenny Frankel has claimed people are “mad” that she looks “better” now than she did 20 years ago.
The former ‘Real Housewives of New York City’ star claimed online trolls have been mocking her because she doesn’t have the same jawline as she did before she embraced cosmetic treatments such as Botox injections.
Speaking on her ‘Just B’ podcast, she said: “Someone on social media commented on my physical appearance — literally it was 20 years ago, and comparing it now.
“My jaw was much bigger, but, like, people commenting on someone else’s physical appearance, it’s like, being mad that I look better.
“Like, I literally look better, and they’re annoyed, and you can tell. And again, that’s a hater, and I like that.”
The 53-year-old star doesn’t care about the cruel comments she receives on social media because she thinks her critics are just “jealous” and “bitter” over how she looks now.
She said: “It’s annoying you that I look good. ‘Where’s the old Bethenny?’ It doesn’t f****** matter ’cause this is the new Bethenny, b****.
“Like, you’re so annoyed, and I love it ’cause the more you get annoyed, the more I know it’s working.
“The more you get annoyed, the better I know I look. I’m bothering you. Keep it coming.”
The Skinnygirl founder believes the general public get annoyed when people in the spotlight take advantage of ways to enhance their appearance, such as taking Ozempic to lose weight.
She said: “People want people to stay. They get mad. ‘Ozempic, you’re doing Ozempic. I gotta catch you. I gotta be mad at you. But it’s just ’cause you’re lying.’
“And I understand the lying part, and I understand the leading people to believe that it’s about eating healthy and working out ’cause then it’s not presenting an accurate message.
“But I think it goes deeper. I think people are mad that other people are allowed to now look good. They don’t like it.”
Bethenny insisted she will continue doing whatever she wants when it comes to her appearance and doesn’t care about her critics.
She said: “I’ll do what I want. I’ll wear what I want. I’ll get done what I want.
“None of your f****** business. I’ll look how I want.”

Queen Elizabeth used bagpipes to stop her corgis barking

OHMYGOSSIP — Queen Elizabeth used bagpipes to stop her beloved corgis barking.
The late monarch, who died aged 86 in September 2022, at her Balmoral estate in Scotland, was famous for her love for her collection of corgis and dorgis, and royal expert Craig Brown has said in his new book ‘Q: A Voyage Around the Queen’ she used an unusual method for keeping them quiet.
He wrote in his tome: “Coincidentally, the way to scare off a belligerent corgi is the same as for a belligerent human being: a blast from the bagpipes.
“Happily, the Queen always kept a set of bagpipes at hand.”
Her late Majesty also kept a bagpipe player, Jim Motherwell, on hand in the 1990s, and in Craig’s book he quoted the musician speaking to fellow royal biographer Penny Junor as saying the “pitch of the pipes seem to hurt most dogs’ ears”.
The musician added in his quote: “Most corgis stop whatever they are doing and slink away, as though in pain.”
Craig also recalls in his book how she deployed a more basic method of quietening down her corgis when she invited former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown to Balmoral.
He said when Mr Brown and his family were “surrounded” by her corgis, the ex-PM’s sons were “delighted and shocked in equal measure when she told one of her dogs to ‘shut up’”.
He added the late Queen’s dogs were renowned as “unpredictable” and “temperamental”, with behavioural issues.
Craig also said many people had been bitten by them.
He added the corgis and dorgis were “one minute cuddly” and “the next psycho”
Referring to the mafia family in ‘The Godfather’, the writer branded them “Corleones of the dog world”.
He stressed even thought the pets were unpredictable they brought the Queen a huge sense of comfort as they were “rebellious in a way that Queen Elizabeth II could never be”.
Craig added: “Their clamour was her refuge, their indifference her comfort.”

Liam Payne secretly gave £80,000 to London food poverty charity

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Payne secretly gave £80,000 to a London food poverty charity during the Covid lockdowns.
The tragic One Direction singer – who died on 16 October when he fell 45ft to the ground from the balcony of his third-floor suite at the CasaSur Hotel in Buenos Aires – had son Bear, seven, with his 41-year-old singer ex Cheryl, and made the donation after becoming so moved by the plight of the poor during the pandemic he quietly volunteered at a food bank.
The director of the Euston Food Bank, North West London, was quoted by the Daily Mail saying Liam – who had an estimated net worth of £50 million – gave away a chunk of his music fortune after he was messaged on social media by a volunteer who was a fan of One Direction about helping at the centre.
Dorothea Hackman added: “Liam Payne was the kindest, most sensitive young man I have ever met over an incredibly long period of time.
“He got in touch out of the blue and offered help. We desperately needed the money at the time.
“We were dealing with a massive increase in demand – because of lockdown people were desperate for food.
“He got in touch and asked what we did and what we needed. We told him about our work and he said, ‘Right, I’m giving you £80,000.’”
Half Liam’s donation went to the Camden Town charity Food for All, and the singer visited both the Euston food bank and Food For All’s community kitchen where he volunteered.
Liam also supported the Trussell charity’s food banks.
The latest revelation about Liam’s kindness comes after it was reported he gave away £10,000 in one night of donating online to sick children, teens and young adults.
He is said to have been so moved by reading stories of stricken patients on GoFundMe pages he gave away the cash in a few hours.
A source told The Sun about his donations: “Liam had all this money and, yes, he had fancy things in life, but he also had a burning desire to use his money to do good.
“Even in the weeks leading up to his death – and when he was battling his own demons – he was helping others.
“He was really passionate about being a good person, especially when it came to children.
“He was like one of his idols George Michael in that respect.”

Telling People about his latest role in season two of the series ‘Lioness’, he said about being allowed to go back to his natural grey hair for the part: “I asked and this one they said, ‘Yes’.
“I asked on ‘Yellowstone’, and God bless Mr Costner, he was like, ‘No – you’re going to dye it. I don’t want to look that old’.
“I was like, ‘Oh, okay. Copy that. That makes sense’.”
Before he left ‘Yellowstone’, Kevin was reportedly raking in $1.3 million per episode.
But since leaving he has admitted his epic ‘Horizon’ western film series has not had “overwhelming success”.
Kevin plunged a huge chunk of his personal fortune into making the first in a series of movies in an epic western series, which he has so far followed up with ‘Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2’, with a third ‘chapter’ on the way.
He said at the 2024 Venice Film Festival about the first installment: “It didn’t have overwhelming success.”
But the ‘Dances with Wolves’ star optimistically added: “I’ve had a lot of movies that way, that have stood the test of time.”
Kevin added the studio behind ‘Horizon’ initially planned to release its sequel six weeks after the first film’s release – before they backtracked and decided not to put it out in mid-August.
But he added: “For me, it fell back into my plan, which was I always wanted to come out with movies about five-six months apart.
“And that was going to allow me to come to Venice. I would have never come to Venice, because they won’t show the film here if it was already out.”
