OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Atack and Liam McGough have split.
The 32-year-old TV star is single again after breaking up with tree surgeon and former ‘Big Brother’ contestant Liam earlier this week.
A source told The Sun Online: “Emily and Liam have been friends for a long time and were together for seven months, but sadly have decided to separate.
“They kept their relationship private for a while and only went public when the news broke that they were together.
“Sadly, they decided they were better off as friends and parted ways a few days ago, but it’s all very amicable.”
Although Emily is suffering some lows in her personal life, her professional life is going from strength to strength.
It was recently revealed that the star will host BBC Two documentary ‘Emily Atack: Sexual Harassment and Me’, as she investigates online sexual harassment.
Emily said: “With this documentary, I am hoping to find answers to the many questions I’ve been asking myself for my entire life, and I hope that it will go on to help thousands of others too.”
The former ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ contestant described the new documentary as “incredibly close to her heart”.
Emily, who has spoken about her horrific ordeal in Parliament, said: “Over the last two and half years I’ve been speaking out about my own personal experiences of online sexual harassment. Within that time, one thing has become clear, I’m not alone.”
A source revealed that Emily is determined to do the issue “justice” in the film.
A TV insider told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “This is a massive career moment for Emily. Not only has she spearheaded an important movement, but the BBC are investing a lot in her.
“She’s taking the role very seriously and wants to do it justice, she’s revealing a lot about herself too, but knows it could help a lot of people suffering.”
