OHMYGOSSIP — Dean Gaffney is set to return to ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ for an all-stars series.
The former ‘EastEnders’ star is said to have penned a deal to head back to the show for the upcoming spin-off, which is expected to be filmed at South Africa’s Kruger National Park this year before airing next year.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Dean is regarded as one of the best contestants the show has ever had.
“When the all-stars show was first mooted he was a name that everyone wanted to get on board.
“It’s taken some time but he’s now signed on the dotted line and will be on the plane to South Africa with some other show greats. Everyone is chuffed.”
Dean finished fifth in the show’s sixth series in 2006, behind winner Matt Willis, runner-up Myleene Klass, former ‘Neighbours’ actor Jason Donovan, who was third, and music promoter David Gest – who died in 2016 aged 62 – who was fourth.
Boxer Amir Khan, 35, and TV star Gillian McKeith, 62, are both said to be in line to appear in the spin-of series.
This comes after ITV confirmed the regular ‘I’m A Celebrity’ series will be heading back to Australia later this year.
They said in a statement: “Returning to its home in Australia after a two-year break, our celebrities will leave their plush pads and luxuries far behind as they spend up to three weeks taking on the Australian jungle with a whole host of surprises created just for them.
“Whoever does end up in the legendary jungle camp will find themselves cut off from the outside world and their fate will be in the hands of viewers who could decide to send them into a dreaded Bushtucker Trial.”
Ant and Dec will return as presenters for the programme, and they will also co-host the all-stars spin-off show.
