Love Island’s Jacques grows closer to Cheyanne

OHMYGOSSIP — Love Island’s Jacques O’Neill confesses he only wants to “get to know” Cheyanne Kerr in the villa.
In a teaser shown on last night’s (05.07.22) episode of the ITV2 dating show, the 23-year-old rugby player appeared to be leaning in to kiss the 23-year-old cabin crew worker, and in tonight’s (06.07.22) episode he completes his smooch with Cheyanne and reassures her he isn’t trying to get to know fellow new girl Mollie Salmon, 23.
When Cheyanne asks how his conversation with Mollie went, Jacques – who is coupled up with Paige Thorne, 24 – says: “How did my chat go?” He then puts his arm around her and says: “Aww are you getting cosy now I only want you?”
He then tells her he only sees Mollie as a good friend, adding to Cheyanne: “I told you I only wanna get to know you.”
After reassuring Cheyanne, Jacques goes on to give Andrew Le Page, 27, a pep talk as the real estate agent opens up about his feelings for Tasha Ghouri, 23, who he is coupled up with in the main villa.
Andrew says: “I literally opened up to her.”
Jacques says: “You don’t need to be afraid to show emotion and be upset though, do you know what I mean?”
Andrew replies: “Yeah I appreciate that man.”
Jacques then adds: “I know we’re supposed to be tough and that but sometimes it’s just good to get it out.
“Listen, anyone would be lucky to have you.”
Later on, the Islanders receive a text telling them that a recoupling looms and they need to decide whether to remain in their original couplings or change.
That evening, the Islanders in the main villa are told to gather around the firepit and show host Laura Whitmore enters to begin proceedings.
‘Love Island’ continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
The dating reality show can be seen in Ireland on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.
