OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Parr is to join the cast of ‘Emmerdale.’
The ‘Peaky Blinders’ actor – who starred as Dougie Bill in the final series of the hit gangster series – has reportedly signed up to play the “dramatic” role of Jordan in the Yorkshire-based soap, with his scenes slated to air in the coming weeks.
A source told The Sun Newspaper’s TV Biz Column: “Jordan will arrive in the village in a shocking way and end up pitting neighbour against neighbour. It’s going to be a dramatic storyline and take on a serious issue.”
Jack later seemed to confirm the news by posting a screenshot of the original report to his Twitter page and received a slew of congratulatory messages in response.
Meanwhile, former ‘Emmerdale’ actor Jon-Paul Bell – who stars alongside Jack as Sgt. John Burgin in upcoming thriller series ‘Masters of the Air’ – made his debut in fellow ITV soap ‘Coronation Street’ on Easter Monday (18.04.22), taking on the role of unethical paralegal Ben Chancellor after being summoned by established character Imran Habeeb to assist in his ongoing custody battle against Abi Franklin.
Jack previously opened up about how his acting career started by accident and was inspired to take up a career in performing when a film was shot near his home and ended up quitting his degree to pursue acting roles.
He said: “I was just about to head to Leeds to do a degree in Sports Science. It was the summer in between college and university so I was enjoying myself and relaxing. Out of nowhere a huge budget movie came and filmed on an estate I lived right next to in the middle of nowhere. The word buzzed around the villages and so me and a couple of mates went down to our local village hall where they were based and asked if they needed extras. They did and assigned us to be German Soldiers for around 5 days. I had an absolute blast, met loads of people, saw how movies worked. I wanted to be back on a movie set so bad I couldn’t handle it. I ended up quitting Sports Science and pursuing a career in acting.”
