Martin Compston eats Chinese food for Christmas dinner

OHMYGOSSIP — Martin Compston loves Chinese food so much he eats it on Christmas Day.
The ‘Line of Duty’ actor, who originates from Greenock in Scotland, said Scottish and Irish Chinese takeaway is unlike any other he’s tried, and there is nowhere other than his homeland that serves up his favourite beef curry.
He said: “Scottish and Irish Chinese is very different from anywhere else. The curry sauce is amazing.”
Martin also recalled the time his ex-girlfriend turned up on Christmas Day horrified when he laid out a Chinese spread on the floor for dinner.
The 37-year-old star – who lives in a luxury Las Vegas pad with his American wife Tianna Flynn, 34 – admitted he has an obsession with chicken wings.
Speaking on the ‘Table Manners’ podcast, he added: “I’m obsessed with chicken wings, it’s my kind of weird thing.
“I love any kind of chicken wings, whether it’s four for a pound at the chicken shop. I know people hate, or them fancy ones.”
Martin starred in drama ‘Our House’ this week, and the actor recently admitted he “needed a break” after shooting the drama series.
He said: ‘Our House’ by far, acting-wise, took the most out of me.
“It was unique to see a drama based around family and marriage that was exciting on those terms. There were a couple of proper cliffhangers there.
“I came straight from filming ‘The Rig’. I’d read the scripts and loved them – you realise this guy’s life is falling apart. It was a tough role. He’s a guy with a self-destruct button but he also has some redeeming features.
“In essence he is a good guy, loves his kids. But I don’t think he appreciates what he’s got until it’s too late. He seems like somebody who wants to inject a bit of chaos into his life as soon as things are going too well.
“It was such an emotional ride, just when you see what Bram goes through. That made it so intense.
“When we finished I said I needed a bit of a break, so we wrapped in October and just went away and were a family for a while. I’m under no illusions how lucky I am to have been able to do that, but it was what I needed.”
