OHMYGOSSIP — Holly Willoughby is reportedly set to be offered a pay rise by ITV.
The ‘This Morning’ star is currently locked in a legal dispute with her former managers, and ITV bosses fear Holly might choose to quit her role rather than give her ex-managers a 15 percent share of her earnings.
A TV source said: “Holly’s YMU row sparked some serious worries at ITV as they know how adamant she is that she shouldn’t have to pay them.
“They are hoping the situation can be amicably resolved. But they have agreed a last-resort plan to up her salary if it was to reach crisis level.”
Holly, 40, hasn’t actually asked for a pay rise. But ITV bosses are prepared to boost her salary – especially as there is growing uncertainty surrounding Susanna Reid’s future at ‘Good Morning Britain’.
The insider told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “They have not yet had a conversation with Holly about this and she’d never dream of asking for a raise.
“But they know how popular she is and they can ill-afford to lose her, especially when Susanna’s future is uncertain.”
‘Good Morning Britain’ has seen a significant drop-off in ratings since Piers Morgan abruptly quit the show earlier this year amid a row about the Duchess of Sussex’s tell-all TV interview with Oprah Winfrey.
And Susanna, 50, could start to consider her own future with ITV unless the viewing figures bounce back.
The source explained: “She has been very concerned about the fall in ratings since Piers was axed and bosses fear that, unless they can recover, she will start considering her options next year.
“It is no coincidence that, following that conversation, Piers was approached.”
