OHMYGOSSIP — Natalie Cassidy has resumed filming on ‘EastEnders’ following a break.
The Albert Square legend – who plays NHS nurse Sonia Fowler on the BBC One soap – admitted she has missed the trumpet-loving character, and enjoyed putting on one of her cardigans again.
She said: “She’s still got her cardigans – I’ve missed her.”
Natalie wrote on Instagram Stories: “This smile is my ‘I AM GOING TO WORK’ smile.
“Soon as I put a cardigan on – Sonia’s back. (sic)”
The 37-year-old star was last seen on screen as Sonia at the start of the year when the character was struggling with the pressures of nursing amid the coronavirus pandemic.
She was persuaded to take a break by doctor Ash Kaur (Gurlaine Kaur Garcha). During Natalie’s time away from Walford, she hit out at shoppers for leaning over her “every time” she goes out to buy food amid the pandemic.
She wrote on Instagram: “Be kind when you’re out shopping and stop rushing because it’s driving me mad being walked into or leaned over every bloody time I go out. I’m really not going to take the 87 plums on the shelf, just wait patiently 2 metres away from me. And others. Cheers. (sic)”
Adam Woodyatt is also currently on a break from playing ‘EastEnders’ character Ian Beale, after Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) discovered the chippy owner’s actions had led to the death of her beloved son Denny Rickman (Bleu Landau) in February 2020.
Ian was last seen ditching his phone in a bin outside the Walford East London Underground station, before heading inside.
