OHMYGOSSIP — Judy Finnigan thinks Brits will be wearing face masks long after being vaccinated against coronavirus.
The 72-year-old TV presenter believes the public will take precautionary measures even when the pandemic eases in the UK.
Judy said: “I don’t think it will be that easy, I bet people are still wearing masks even if the infection rate is low and the vaccines work and all the rest of it – I think they will still be careful.”
The former ‘This Morning’ host confessed that she would be uncomfortable about going to the theatre or a cinema.
Judy also reflected on attending the National Television Awards before COVID-19 hit.
Speaking on Giovanna Fletcher’s ‘Happy Mum Happy Baby’ podcast, Judy said: “I am not sure still about the idea of going to a huge cinema or a theatre.
“For example, just before this all happened, we went to the National Television Awards ceremony and there were thousands of people there. I think even though we knew nothing about COVID then and we knew nothing about distancing all the rest of it, it was almost madness in a sense.”
Judy was joined on the podcast by husband and co-presenter Richard Madeley, who admitted that the latest coronavirus lockdown has been far more difficult than the first due to the lack of good weather.
The 64-year-old star said: “It’s much worse than the first lockdown, isn’t it?
“In the first lockdown we were just blessed with amazing weather across most of the country, sitting out in the garden, sipping wine and you thought, ‘This is punishment. Fine.'”
