OHMYGOSSIP — Stuart Manning has slammed people for not wearing masks on the London Underground.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ actor – who played Russ Owen in the Channel 4 soap – has hit out at several Tube goers for snubbing face masks amid the coronavirus pandemic, and questioned what Transport for London are doing about anti-maskers.
He wrote: “Come on people do the right thing and wear your bloody masks! Also @transportforlondon why are you letting this happen?? No mask no travel!!!!!!! Come on let’s stop this from happening. (sic)”
The 41-year-old star’s frustration comes after ‘EastEnders’ actress Natalie Cassidy hit out at shoppers for leaning over her “every time” she goes out to buy food.
She wrote on Instagram: “Be kind when you’re out shopping and stop rushing because it’s driving me mad being walked into or leaned over every bloody time I go out. I’m really not going to take the 87 plums on the shelf, just wait patiently 2 metres away from me. And others. Cheers. (sic)”
But the 37-year-old star – who is currently on a short break from playing NHS nurse Sonia Jackson on the BBC One soap – also had some words of encouragement for people amid the latest national lockdown, urging them to “keep going”.
She added: “Ready for another day with my girls. The data we receive each day from the news is so upsetting. I just wanted to say I’m thinking of everyone who has lost someone and thinking of the people who’s loved ones are in hospital. I’m thinking of people on their own and the Drs and nurses who are dealing with it each day. It’s very easy to sit and moan about not seeing family or not being able to go to a pub for lunch, not being able to go to your gym or have your nails done. But it’s really not that bad. Keep going, remember how lucky we are. (sic)”
