OHMYGOSSIP — Glen Wallace has joined ‘Coronation Street’.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ actor – who portrayed Malachy Fisher on the Channel 4 soap – will appear on the ITV show next week as Carla Connor’s (Alison King) friend Lucas.
She met him when she was living in Devon, but he pops up in Weatherfield as her new client at the factory, and he doesn’t waste much time in asking her to join him at a hotel.
It comes after Carla is once again rejected by Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne), but their friend Roy Cropper (David Neilson) tries to remind alcoholic Peter – who recently turned to drink again – what he might be losing.
Glen’s ‘Corrie’ role comes after he portrayed Malachy from 2007 to 2010 in ‘Hollyoaks’ until his character was killed off in a fire.
The actor reacquainted himself with soap fans in 2014 when he appeared in ‘EastEnders’ as DS Cameron Bryant.
The police officer was tasked with investigating the murder of Lucy Beale (Hetti Bywater) in what was one of the soap storylines of the century so far.
Several characters were under suspicion throughout the pulsating plot, which lasted nearly a year from when Lucy was found dead in April 2014 to her brother Bobby Beale being unveiled as the killer in February 2015.
There were casualties along the way as Cameron’s colleague DC Emma Summerhayes (Anna Acton) died in a car crash.
What’s more, Glen has starred in Scottish soap ‘River City’, as regular Grieg Roth from 2016 to 2018, and he portrayed Andy Bryan in ‘Holby City’ in August 2011.
