OHMYGOSSIP — Hollie Arnold’s mum wants to invite Vernon Kay round for dinner.
The 26-year-old athlete’s mum, Jill, would love to have the 46-year-old TV presenter round her house after watching the pair form a friendship on ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’
Asked which campmate she’d like Hollie to bring home for dinner, Jill said: “Oh, Vernon! All my friends keep messaging me saying they’re so jealous Hollie’s been in the hot tub with Vernon and all this. We’d have to bring Vernon home and score some brownie points.”
Jill is so proud of her daughter following her recent trial with Shane Ritchie, and she praised Hollie for being a good teammate.
Jill said: “Brilliant. We absolutely loved it, lots of shouting and screaming going on [here]. I thought she did really well.
“I thought they worked as a team. Hollie was giving him [Shane] lots of encouragement and saying do this and do that. She’s a pretty good teammate, Hollie – even though she’s an individual sportsperson, she’s always good in a team, so that’s great.”
The pair were up against the Wicked Waterways trial, during which they had to crawl through an underground sewer full of grimy water and creepy crawlies.
However, Jill knew her daughter would be disappointed that they only managed to get four stars, as she’s a natural athlete who is used to winning.
She told ‘The Daily Drop’: “As an athlete, she’s used to winning, so that would have been a disappointment. Whatever she does she likes to give 100 percent.
“I think she probably felt that as a team they didn’t give 100 percent. She’s always very hard on herself, whatever she does. She likes to give 110 percent really rather than 100 percent.”
