OHMYGOSSIP — Shane Richie promised his campmates would “eat like Kings and Queens” after he won all 12 stars in his trial on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’.
The 56-year-old actor was voted by the public to take on the ‘Cruel Jewels’ trial on Tuesday’s (24.11.20) episode of the ITV reality show, and after a rough few days without much food, he was determined to win big for himself and his campmates.
The task saw Shane crawl through a variety of display cabinets on the hunt for stars, which would each correlate to one meal for camp, with a total of 12 up for grabs.
Speaking before the trial, Shane said: “I think tonight’s an important trial for the morale. If I can go back and just go ‘guys, we got 12 stars’ it’s about the morale.”
And after battling through boxes infested with snakes, rats, and spiders, as well as unscrewing stars with his tongue, Shane eventually emerged victorious, with all 12 stars secured in his bag.
He said: “We’re going to eat like kings and queens. We’ve got 12!”
The campmates were unsurprisingly thrilled when Shane returned to tell them good news, but after spending days chowing down on bizarre foods for dinner – including eel, squirrel, and hare – they were cautiously optimistic about what they would be given to eat for the evening.
And when the food arrived, it was revealed they had been treated to crayfish and chilli, which became “one of the best meals” they’d had so far.
Giovanna Fletcher said: “Tonight everyone was upbeat, everyone was uplifted and the mood in the kitchen was a happy one.”
And Vernon Kay added: “We had one of the best, if not the best, meals we’ve had in camp. So far everyone was over the moon.”
Whilst Sir Mo Farah joked: “Lots of happy customers, me and Giovanna are a good team together, we cook well, everyone’s happy – Gordan Ramsey had better watch out.”
