OHMYGOSSIP — Imran Adams has thanked ‘Hollyoaks’ fans for making his time on the soap a ride he will “never forget” as he bowed out of the show last night (23.11.20).
The star’s character Mitchell Drinkwell-Deveraux was forced to leave the village after his brother Toby (Bobby Gordon) and sister Celeste (Andrea Ali) blackmailed him over the death of Lisa Loveday (Rachel Adedeji), and Imran admitted he “did [his] best to entertain” the programme’s fans.
He wrote on Twitter: “I did my best to entertain you guys guys – Thank you for making this journey a ride I will never forget… I love you guys, love Immy (sic)”
A post on Hollyoaks’ official Instagram account admitted those connected to the show are “absolutely gutted” that Mitchell has left the village.
It read: “Awwww, we’re absolutely gutted that Mitchell’s left, but how brilliant has @imranxadams been? All the best for the future, Imran! We’re already missing you a ton! (sic)”
In last night’s E4 episode, Mitchell was forced to leave without a proper explanation to his loved ones after Celeste took some of Scott Drinkwell-Deveraux’s (Ross Adams) DNA to plant on Lisa’s body.
Toby told Mitchell: “You can’t talk to Martine, Walter, Scott or anyone you love ever again.”
As a result, Mitchell sent a video message to his mum Martine Deveraux (Kelle Bryan), claiming he had departed the village to take on a new job.
And he lied to Scott that he didn’t love him anymore.
Rachel left the soap in September after Lisa was killed by her own cousin Toby, who mistook her for Mitchell when he mixed up hotel rooms at his brother’s wedding to Scott.
