OHMYGOSSIP — Pat Sharp thinks ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’ could move to different locations every year.
The 59-year-old presenter starred on the ITV show in 2011, and after the upcoming series was moved from Australia to Wales due to coronavirus restrictions, Pat has suggested ‘I’m a Celebrity’ could switch between locations in the future.
Speaking to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on ‘This Morning’, he said: “I think the best bit about this year is that it will be different.
“I know – [Holly] hosting it and Phil has been there on holiday to watch it from behind the scenes, and I’ve been on it – so we’ve all got a different perspective on it. But I think being in Wales will perhaps lead to them changing it every year now.
“I’ve got a feeling it’s going to be more exciting.”
Pat also thinks the families of the contestants will have welcomed the decision to relocate the series.
He said: “The most exciting thing for this year will be for the friends and family being able to go up the M4 on a National Express coach and stay in the Holiday Inn.”
Meanwhile, Pat has recently penned a spoof memoir in which he’s spiced up the truth to entertain his audience.
Speaking about his approach to the book, Pat explained: “What I actually did was, I took the timeline of my life – my career, mostly … I started at zero and worked my way up to pretty much now. But I’ve kind of made it a little bit more exciting along the way than if I’d have stuck with the truth and nothing but the truth.”
The memoir includes stories that feature the likes of Liam Gallagher and Geri Horner, and Pat thinks it could provide his fans with a much-needed lift.
The former ‘Fun House’ host said: “I have met all of the people you’ve just mentioned but I’ve twisted it a bit to make it a bit more beneficial for people to enjoy in 2020, in such a hard year.”
