OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Mo Farah’s coach “isn’t very happy” he is missing training to appear on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The four-time Olympic champion has put his athletics career on hold to compete in the upcoming series, and Mo admits his trainer isn’t thrilled about his stint on the ITV show.
He said: “I love to exercise. And when I don’t train I go a bit mad! I am missing training whilst I am in the camp and my coach isn’t very happy!”
The 37-year-old athlete – who was one of the faces of the London Olympics in 2012 – thinks he’ll be under pressure to excel during the trials on ‘I’m A Celebrity’.
He explained: “I think there will be a lot of pressure but hopefully it should be good.
“I know the eating trials involve yucky stuff but you just have to hold your nose and crack on!”
Mo is looking forward to the challenge of appearing on the show, which is being staged in Wales this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
He shared: “I’ve watched it on telly and thought to myself I would like to challenge myself and see what I can do – and so that is the whole reason behind it.”
And regardless of whether he wins the series or not, Mo is determined to have fun during his time on the ITV programme.
The star said: “I know a lot of people will be surprised as they don’t see me in that way. They associate me with running and winning but nothing other than that. And my kids have been on at me too saying, ‘I can’t see you doing that dad,’ but I want to give it a go!’
“I want to have fun in the camp!”
