OHMYGOSSIP — Jane McDonald wants to host a game show.
The 57-year-old television presenter revealed earlier this year that she would be leaving Channel 5 to focus on “exciting new projects” and is now in talks about hosting a game show or her own talk show.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: “I’m not saying farewell to anyone. I’m having lots of conversations about new television opportunities at the moment and I’m very excited about what’s next. I’m sure an exciting game show would be brilliant fun to host and I love to talk. Just watch this space!”
The ‘Cruising With Jane McDonald’ star announced in February that she would be stepping down from her role on the show after four years.
She said: “It has been a privilege to call this a ‘job’. After so many years of filming abroad I am looking forward to some much needed time in the UK and to focus on my music and tours and exciting new projects. Thank you Channel 5 for some great trips and many fabulous memories.”
However, we haven’t seen the last of her yet as a number of episodes from the current series are yet to air on the small screen due to the coronavirus pandemic.
She explained: “There’s a few episodes of ‘Cruising’ already in the can for next year and we are going to be filming a few more that were paused due to Covid-19 when we are able and allowed to. You will need to wait and see where I go.”
What’s more, she is set to launch her latest album ‘Cruising With Jane McDonald Volume Two’ that brings back memories of her trips whilst filming the travel series.
She added: “When I hear each song it brings back memories of being in that country and all the adventures that we had filming there.”
