OHMYGOSSIP — ‘EastEnders’ stars Gurlaine Kaur Garcha and Shiv Jalota have said goodbye to their on-screen brother Amar Adatia after his character resigned himself to a prison stint on last night’s (08.10.20) episode.
The ep saw Amar’s character Jags Panesar tell his sister Ash Kaura (Gurlaine) to inform his girlfriend Habiba Ahmed (Rukku Nahar) he was guilty of attacking Martin Fowler (James Bye), despite him being innocent and set up by his own mother Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal).
Following the episode, Gurlaine wrote on Instagram: “@amaradatia ,thank you for being such an amazing energy on set, for always making me laugh, and for forever feeding me your lemon drizzle cake. onwards and upwards from here (sic)”
Amar wrote: “I love you Sis. I will always feed you cake (sic)”
Shiv, whose character Vinny Panesar is the one guilty of attacking Martin, wrote: “To infinity and beyond me brother. Do your thing Amar you got this, the looove (sic)”
Rukku took to her Instagram Story to share a video of Amar showing off some dance moves, and wrote: “Goodbye Jags”.
And her on-screen sister Priya Davdra (Iqra Ahmed) also shared the same video.
Amar recently admitted he had been left “overwhelmed” by the support he has received from ‘EastEnders’ fans, after it was revealed he is leaving the soap.
He wrote: “Just wanted to thank each and one of you for the support I have received since yesterday.
“It has been so overwhelming and motivating.
“I wish I could reply to every single one of you but just wanted to say thank you and love you all.”
Amar recently admitted he always knew he would exit the show after a “set period of time”, and he ended up staying longer in Walford than initially planned due to the coronavirus pandemic.
He said: “I was really lucky to have those extra months of filming and to spend time with everyone on set before I said goodbye.
“I can’t share too much about what happens but it serves to further prove just how far Suki will go to get her way.”
