Buyer forks out 15m for Jamie Oliver’s London mansion netting chef scorching 6m profit

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Oliver has sold his eight-bedroom London mansion for £15 million – netting him a scorching £6 million profit.
The 48-year-old chef forked out £8.95 million for the plush pad in Highgate, north London, in 2015, but he offloaded the house for £15 million in June 2022, new files show.
According to ownership records at the Land Registry obtained by The Sun newspaper, the purchasers FIJPTC – a trustee company for the estate of late pornography publisher and strip club owner Paul Raymond, who died in 2008 aged 82 – want to convert Jamie’s beloved former kitchen into an open plan living and dining area.
The papers, which were filed to Camden Council, read: “Current kitchen has low levels of natural lights and is disconnected from the living space.
“The new owner wishes to carry out a series of sensitive alterations to the property to ensure that it serves their long-term family needs, yet respects the unique historic character of the four-storey house.”
Jamie’s former Georgian townhouse is on the same road as abodes previously owned by the likes of late singing legend George Michael – who died in 2016 aged 53 – and supermodel Kate Moss, 49.
The mansion featured on Channel 4 show ‘Keep Cooking: Family Favourites’.
Last month, Jamie landed a new Channel 4 cooking and travel show, ‘Jamie Cooks The Mediterranean’.
The upcoming show – which is set to air later this year – will follow his travels across Greece, Tunisia, Spain and France as he explores a range of flavours and styles to inspire new recipes.
Tim Hancock – commissioning editor for Channel 4 – said: “Jamie has been going from strength to strength in his series for us, and this is a really beautiful travelogue showcasing techniques and recipes even the most avid foodie might have missed, and some ingenious recipes from Jamie.”
It’s said a Christmas special will follow after the four episodes air this autumn.
Jamie will showcase recipes from his Mediterranean trip in a companion cookbook, including dishes like crispy prawn parcels with harissa, which was created in Tunisia.
