OHMYGOSSIP — Kym Marsh is “worried” about her daughter, as she has been going through “a tough time” amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress is concerned about what Emilie Cunliffe “is going to do” after her plans to open a new salon were delayed by the second national lockdown, but Kym is planning to get her “something special” for her upcoming birthday.
She said: “I’m going to have to think of something special to get her as she’s going through a bit of a tough time.
“She’s a beautician and she’s been renovating a salon and she was almost ready to open and then lockdown happened again.
“She has a young baby and although her boyfriend Mikey is working, I have been worried about her and what she’s going to do.
“The pandemic has hit the beauty industry really hard. I hope she’ll be able to open up soon.”
Kym also admitted Emilie – who has 19-month-old son Teddy – is “devastated” because she won’t be able to see her mum on her birthday, because the former ‘Corrie’ star will be shooting daytime show ‘Morning Live’.
Writing in her OK! magazine column, Kym added: “Although I’m in my grandson Teddy’s childcare bubble, I obviously can’t go to her house to celebrate as I’m filming Morning Live.
“It will be the first birthday where I haven’t seen her and she’s devastated.”
Kym became a grandmother aged 43 last year, and the former Michelle Connor actress recently admitted she takes it as a compliment if people say she “looks too young” to be a grandparent.
She said: “I have much more energy so I can run around after my grandson Teddy.
“I also don’t mind people thinking I look too young to be a grandparent. It’s certainly a compliment.”
