OHMYGOSSIP — Joanna Page wants to sign up for ‘The Masked Singer’.
The 43-year-old actress would love to have taken part in the ITV hidden identity singing competition but fears she doesn’t have the vocal range to impress panellists Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, Rita Ora and Ken Jeong.
She told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “It was my children’s favourite programme and I would have loved to have done it for them. But unfortunately I don’t have the voice.”
Instead, Joanna would want to wear an “elaborate” costume that wows the panel and audience to make up for her poor singing voice.
She continued: “I think I’d want to be something really elaborate, a big sort of animal princess or something. My costume would have to be really elaborate and amazing to make up for the fact that when I opened my mouth, my singing wouldn’t be that good and I would probably only last for the first round.”
The ITV show premiered on screens earlier this year and saw a number of unidentified stars sing for a chance to stay in the competition.
Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts made her way to the final opposite Jason Manford and Katherine Jenkins before taking home the crown.
However, Nicola previously revealed that she nearly cracked under the pressure to keep her identity a secret as there was an intense level of security to stop the fellow contestants and fans from seeing who she was.
She explained: “There was a bathroom inside the dressing rooms and the dressing rooms were tiny. You weren’t even allowed to open the window inside the dressing room in case a member of the crew walked passed. The week before the final I went a bit stir crazy and I left the dressing room and I could hear them saying, ‘Queen Bee’s left the dressing room, Queen Bee’s left the dressing room.'”
