The Connection Between Responsibility and Success: Scientific Evidence

OHMYGOSSIP – There have been scientific studies that suggest a relationship between responsibility and success. Research has shown that individuals who are responsible and reliable tend to have better relationships, higher levels of achievement, and greater job satisfaction compared to those who are not as responsible. While the relationship between responsibility and success is complex, it is widely accepted that being responsible is an important predictor of success in various domains of life.

For example, a study published in the Journal of Applied Psychology found that individuals who were rated as high in personal responsibility had better job performance and were more likely to be promoted than those who were rated as low in personal responsibility.

Another study published in the Journal of Educational Psychology found that students who were taught responsibility at a young age had better academic performance, increased self-esteem, and improved social skills compared to those who were not taught responsibility.

Additionally, research has also shown that responsible individuals tend to have better mental and physical health, stronger relationships, and are more likely to be successful in their personal and professional lives.

Here are 5 tips for why responsible people tend to be more successful:

They prioritize their goals – Responsible individuals set clear, achievable goals and work towards them in a consistent and disciplined manner. By prioritizing their goals, they are able to focus their energy and resources towards what is most important to them.

They take ownership of their actions – Responsible people take full ownership of their actions and decisions, and understand that their success or failure is largely determined by the choices they make. By accepting responsibility for their actions, they are more likely to learn from their mistakes and make better decisions in the future.

They are reliable – Responsible individuals are known for being dependable and keeping their promises. By consistently following through on their commitments, they build trust and credibility with others, which can lead to greater opportunities for success.

They have a strong work ethic – Responsible individuals understand the value of hard work and are willing to put in the effort needed to achieve their goals. By demonstrating a strong work ethic, they are more likely to be recognized and rewarded for their efforts.

They have a positive attitude – Responsible individuals tend to have a positive, proactive approach to life, which helps them overcome obstacles and challenges. By maintaining a positive attitude, they are able to stay motivated and optimistic, even in the face of setbacks.

By embodying these traits, responsible individuals are able to create a strong foundation for success in their personal and professional lives. While success is never guaranteed, taking responsibility for one’s actions and consistently making positive choices can help increase the odds of achieving success.

THESE foods can help maintain the whiteness of teeth by removing plaque and surface stains

OHMYGOSSIP – Maintaining white and healthy teeth is an important aspect of oral hygiene and overall health. A diet rich in certain foods can help to keep teeth looking their best and prevent discoloration.

Certain foods can help maintain the whiteness of teeth by removing plaque and surface stains. These include crunchy fruits and vegetables like apples, celery, and carrots, as well as dairy products like cheese and yogurt. These foods can also help increase the production of saliva, which can neutralize acid and reduce the risk of tooth decay.

Fruits and vegetables, such as apples, celery, and carrots, are known to be beneficial for oral health. These foods contain high levels of fiber, which helps to scrub the surface of the teeth and remove plaque buildup. Additionally, the crunchy texture of these foods can help to increase saliva production, which can neutralize the acids produced by bacteria and help to prevent tooth decay.

One study published in the Journal of Dentistry found that eating an apple can have the same teeth-cleaning effect as brushing your teeth with a toothbrush. Another study published in the Journal of Periodontology found that consuming a diet high in fruits and vegetables is associated with a lower risk of periodontal disease, which is a leading cause of tooth loss.

Dairy products, such as cheese and yogurt, are also known to be beneficial for oral health. Cheese is rich in calcium and phosphate, which help to strengthen tooth enamel and make teeth more resistant to acid erosion. Additionally, the protein casein found in cheese can help to protect tooth enamel by forming a protective film on the surface of the teeth.

Yogurt contains probiotics, which are beneficial bacteria that can help to maintain a healthy balance of bacteria in the mouth. These bacteria can help to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria that can cause tooth decay and gum disease.

A study published in the Journal of Dairy Science found that consuming cheese can raise the pH levels in the mouth, which can help to neutralize the acids produced by bacteria and prevent tooth decay. Another study published in the Journal of Oral Microbiology found that consuming yogurt can help to reduce the levels of harmful bacteria in the mouth and improve overall oral health.

In conclusion, consuming a diet rich in fruits and vegetables and dairy products such as cheese and yogurt can help to keep teeth whiter, stronger and healthier. They are high in fiber, calcium, casein and probiotics, which can all contribute to oral health and hygiene. It is important to include them in your diet as part of a well-balanced diet. However, it is important to note that eating these foods alone will not necessarily make teeth “whiter”, regular dental cleanings and good oral hygiene are also necessary.

THE ONLY VEGETABLE with therapeutic properties increasing after boiling!

OHMYGOSSIP – Eating it fresh, the human organism will assimilate only 3% of the minerals and vitamins of this vegetable. Yet when you chop it and boil long enough then up to 39% of the minerals and vitamins can be assimilated. What is this vegetable?

This vegetable is carrot. More precisely, the boiled carrot.

BOILED CARROT: THE SOURCE OF BETA-CAROTENE

Carrot is a very good source of beta-carotene, hence also the characteristic bright orange colour. The rule of thumb says that the brighter orange is a fruit or a vegetable, the more beta-carotene there is in it. Beta-carotene is a very strong antioxidant, which slows down aging and protects against several illnesses, including heart disease and cancer.

WHY IS BETA-CAROTENE BENEFICIAL?

When the menu has sufficient amounts of beta-carotene, then
the risk on stroke decreases as much as 40%
it advances and supports vision
it advances liver function
it lowers the risk of cancer
it protects the heart
it advances the immune system

Besides, carrots have vitamins K, E, B1, B2, C, as well as phosphorus and folic acid.

EATING TOO MANY CARROTS

Beta-carotene may be very useful, but overconsumption of carrots can lead to some unpleasant results. Overconsumption of carrots will cause carotenosis due to which the skin will turn orange.

Fortunately this is a non-dangerous affair and will be alleviated spontaneously, there is no need for extra attention or cure, it is more of a cosmetic problem. Thus when you start eating carrots, you should know that the orange skin tone is not detrimental to your health and you could just eat a bit less carrots.

WHAT DO TOES tell you about your health and what is the message sent by socks

OHMYGOSSIP – You have definitely heard that it is good to walk barefoot and that taking foot baths will stimulate circulation. Feet have a great impact on a person’s health status. There are reflex points on the feet through which it is possible to stimulate the work of organs, alleviate stress and make us feel better. The toe gaps reflect the organism’s viruses, and by kneading toe gaps it is even possible to stimulate the hearing and vision organs.

The big toe is Father, the second toe is mother, the third toe is yourself, the fourth toe are your relatives and the fifth toe are your acquaintances, friends. Whenever there is a problem with the big toe, revise your relationship and emotions regarding your father. The same conclusion can be made about other toes by using this analogy.

The big toe is connected to the head and the liver. The toxins-residues remaining in the organism are a burden to the liver. When the big toe is turned upwards, this means that the person is stressed, and when the toenails are turned upwards, this means the head is full of negative energy.

The second toe is connected to the stomach and the nerves. A long lasting nervous state can bring along gastric ulcers, gas, etc. Also it gives a hint about the person’s entrepreneurship: the one with a weak and small second toe will not make a good business partner.

The third toe is indirectly connected to the immune system and it is exactly this system that keeps our hands and feet warm and adds vitality.

The fourth toe is connected to the lungs, intestines and bile. When the fourth toe is crooked or problematic, this means that the person has problems with the intestines. Diseases related to the bile make a person aggressive, diseases related to the lungs make the person melanholic.

The little toe is connected to the kidneys and the bladder, also it is connected to several fears. These fears are often related to childhood. A timid or scared person should stimulate (knead) their little toe.

What can you do to advance your own health?

Couples might knead each other’s feet in the evening while watching TV. This procedure is intimate and it brings you emotionally closer to your partner, the procedure is versatile – it is good for the body as well as the mind. People in a relationship do not touch each other enough, this causes emotional problems and accumulates stress.

What do your socks tell you?

Socks wear out from places indicated by the organism. For example heels wear out when the person is nervous and agitated, but also when the person has problems with the kidneys and bladder. The big toe will wear out the socks of those people whose brains are working too intensively. Overworking, stress, problems with alcohol, liver disease indicate themselves when the socks wear out from the big toe. The dirtiest part of the sock indicates where the tension is the greatest. The same is indicated by the wearing out of the shoes.

BY CHANGING THE HAIR-DO – you change your life. CHECK IT OUT, what is the best day for you to go to the hair-dresser

OHMYGPSSIP – From ancient times, hair has been considered the symbol of vitality, strength and beauty. Hair must be taken care of. it grows rather slowly and it doesn’t merely fulfil an aesthetic function. Hair is the natural antenna of the human body.

Hair is the source of our cosmic energy. Remember this – by changing your hair-do, you change your life!

According to magic, if something happens to your hair, then this will change the course of an invisible river that washes us with its bioenergetic waves. Therefore any influence on our hair may, towards one or the other side, change not only our looks, but our entire life.

For you not to go bald too soon or not to lose your heavenly guardian angel, follow the safety measures while cutting your hair. You must know exactly when and why you cut your hair.

Rule number one:

You cannot trust your hair to a random person. The person that cuts your hair, changes your aura. When coming to a hairdresser, besides the fashionable hair-do, also choose an energetic and cheerful specialist, this way your life will change for the better after the haircut.

The older the hairdresser, the greater their impact on your life. If you are an independent person, you are used to solving your problems on your own and you don’t want anything on your way when achieving them, then choose a specialist of your age or younger.

If, for reasons unknown, you have constant misfortune, it is reasonable to choose a senior and well-known specialist, even if it will cost you a fortune. Yet after paying a visit to the hairdresser your life will take a turn.

Rule number two:

It is best not to cut your own hair. This superstition is very difficult to overcome. However strong and determined the person is, it is difficult to repair one’s aura.

Rule number three:

It is thought to be best that the hairdresser be of the same sex as you. During the haircut, your ethereal, astral and mental aura changes and as a result of that we easily give in to other people’s influence. Thus, if you like a hairdresser from the opposite sex, this may cause trouble in your personal life.

Rule number four:

If you wish that your hair would grow faster after the haircut, you must have your hair cut from the new moon until the full moon. If you wish that your hair changed its features – for example you are dissatisfied with it being tangled and disobedient, you should go to the hairdressers’ during the shrinking moon. However, after such a hairdo the hair will grow back very slowly. It is also good to have your hair done during the waning moon when you want to postpone hair loss and strengthen the roots.

Tip from ancient magicians:

If you fell ill then trim your hair so that the negative energy from the illness would go away with the split ends and the body might cleanse itself.

Rule number five:

You shouldn’t cut your hair on certain dates, 9th, 15th, 23rd, 29th (beginning from the waxing moon), as well as on the days of solar or lunar eclipse. After the procedures that were carried out during these times you may fall ill, or like they used to say earlier, „you cut your brain off”.

Rule number six:

Before making a hairdresser’s appointment, make sure how you wish to change your life!

Security costs of Belgian Royal Family revealed + Documentary about the Royal palace of Brussels and the Belgian Monarchy

OHMYGOSSIP – The Belgian Minister of Security and Internal Affairs, Pieter De Crem has published the security costs of the Belgian Royal Family from last year. The federal parliament usually asks for these numbers every year in light of transparency.

The Belgian Ministry of Security and Internal Affairs has responded to the parliamentary question about the costs of security of the Belgian Royal Family. For 2018 the prices are up to 15,432,548.72 euros. The numbers include the wages of the security staff, costs made by the federal police for the Royal Family and other expenses. These numbers are in line with the security costs of the previous years.

The Belgian Royal Family has its own security detachment of 195 people which is a part of the federal police reserved for the protection of the royal domains and the Royal Family. In addition, there are 34 servicemen and women of the military who are assigned fulltime to the Royal Family. The military and federal police also participate in the protection of the Royal Family whenever, for example, they attend official engagements, National Day, the summer opening of the Royal Palace, etc. The security staff of the Royal Family collectively worked for about 254,000 hours for the protection of the royals and the royal domains in 2018 or together 427 hours a day.

The King, Queen and their four children have protection agents with them at all times. Princess Elisabeth is currently living in Wales where she attends school, and she has a few protection officers with her. The other members of the Royal Family, Prince Laurent, Princess Claire, Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenz only have protection agents with them when they carry out official engagements.

The Royal Palace of Laeken (the King’s home), the Royal Palace of Brussels (the “work” palace) and Belvédère Castle (residence of King Albert & Queen Paola) are guarded around the clock. Villa Clementine, home to Prince Laurent and his family, and Villa Schonenberg, home to Princess Astrid and her family, do not receive any protection but are heavily guarded with security cameras and other devices.

How to impress: 9 IMPORTANT Style tips for Women in Business

OHMYGOSSIP – Today, we are diving into an issue that is critical for women in business. The “what to wear to work” dilemma is one many of us business women face. How we handle this will impact how others view us.

Dress for the job you want, not the job you have.

Let that sink in. You’ve heard the phrase “put your best foot forward”. Well, let’s talk about how we can put our best physical self forward in a business setting.

The onus is on us to present ourselves as professional, respectable, and powerful. Whether we like it or not, appearances do matter. They are the first impression people get of us, so let’s craft our appearance to give off the right impression.

Clearly, qualities like work ethic, competency, and professionalism matter immensely. But also people do, in fact, take cues about who we are and our aspirations in the work place from how we present ourselves. Think of how you dress as an aspect of personal branding.

Here are 9 style tips how to dress for success by Carrie Colbert:

1. Do be authentic to yourself.
I am not a believer that you must dress to conform in an office space. I am a believer that you should dress in a relatively modest, office-appropriate manner. But within those guidelines, you do you! If you prefer color, then wear color. If you prefer heels, then wear heels. If you like to wear a bold lipstick, then just keep the rest of your makeup fairly natural. Just balance statement pieces with more conservative, neutral pieces. Everything in moderation. As Polonius so famously declared, “This above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.” Being true to yourself is an admirable leadership quality. So practice it in all ways, including how you dress.

2. Do invest in quality, staple pieces.
As a business woman, you likely are smart with how you spend your money. There are certainly ways to penny pinch, but your business wardrobe is not one of them. Though the cost may seem like a lot up front, in reality you’ll get a lot of b ang for your buck. If the item is high-quality, you’ll be able to wear it many times over many years, making the cost per wear low.

Think quality over quantity. When shopping, pay attention to the materials and craftsmanship of the garments you purchase. Then once you buy quality items, take proper care of them. Have them tailored, have them professionally cleaned regularly as needed, hang them on velvet hangers (just say no to wire hangers!), take your shoes to a cobbler when they need to be polished or resoled. Basic care will go a long way in extending the life of your clothes and shoes!

Action item: If you don’t already have a trusted tailor, find one! Fit is everything! You want your clothes to fit not too tight, not too loose, not too long, not too short, but just right. And a good tailor will help you achieve that.

3. Don’t wear open-toed shoes.
Speaking of shoes… I don’t know what it is, but something about open-toed shoes is very off-putting in the office place. Save that for the beach, for the weekend, for the night out, or really anywhere else but the office. I’m less concerned with if you wear heels or flats, pointy-toe shoes or rounded-toe shoes, but I do think you should stick to closed-toe shoes. Now, if you do insist on wearing open-toed shoes, make sure your feet are well-groomed.

4. Don’t show too much skin.
I suggest being cognizant of this in two particular ways.

(1) Pay attention to your skirt or dress length.

The right length is critical! Dresses and skirts should at least graze the top of your knee. Keep in mind that when you sit in a chair, your dress or skirt will automatically rise up some, making it seem shorter. Be aware of any slits your clothing might have as well. Never choose pieces with super high slits.

(2) Don’t show cleavage. It’s just not appropriate. Along those lines, make sure tops are not at all see-through. And make certain that undergarments are not visible.

Some might add a third rule about not showing too much skin, and that’s the arms. Some stringent office guidelines often prohibit sleeveless tops or require a sweater or jacket over such. I’m not as much a stickler on this one, but then again it’s often a practically good idea to wear a sweater or jacket, as offices tend to be cold.

Always be sure to consult your employee handbook for specific dress code rules for your office.

5. Don’t overdo your makeup.
Like most of these tips (and most things in life!), moderation is key. If you like a bold lip, feel free to go for it. But keep everything else very natural. Avoid overly dramatizing yourself with things like false eyelashes, smoky eyeshadow, or an abundance of bronzer. Use your makeup to enhance your natural look.

On the subject of make-up, always keep a mirror at your desk to double check yourself before you go into meetings. Make sure you don’t have lipstick on your teeth, any make-up smudges, or food in your teeth. Likewise, try to keep a toothbrush and toothpaste handy just in case.

6. Don’t over accessorize.
Less is more. And again, moderation is key. Accessories can make or break an outfit. They tend to be a focal point, so make it a good one. Choose a high quality handbag or briefcase. Instead of piling on the jewelry, choose something classic like a nice set of pearl earrings or a simple necklace.

When in doubt, follow the KISS principle –keep it simple, smarty!

7. Do think about color.
Certainly around here, we believe in the power of color, as you know! So, while we are all for wearing color in the office, consider the psychology of color when choosing what color to wear. For instance, red is a powerful color, but can also be seen as aggressive. So, consider what’s on your agenda as you dress for the day.

Again, always remember that your style is simply another way to convey your overall message at work. Be intentional with how and what you convey.

8. Don’t be too trendy.
Unless you work in fashion, the office place is likely not the place to experiment with the latest runway trends. You want to exude an air of classiness, elegance, and power. If you are overly trendy, your look can steal the show. You want your appearance to amplify your message of professionalism, not drown it out. There is nothing wrong with incorporating a trend in a small way. Just don’t let it steal your spotlight!

9. Do familiarize yourself with the environment.
Different offices demand different levels of attire. Does your office require full professional attire? Or is business casual appropriate? Be cognizant of what your office environment permits. But I urge you to still dress at the top end of that range. For instance, your office may permit jeans on Friday. But should you wear jeans? Perhaps no. Watch the executives in your office. What do they do? Again, dress for the job you want, not the job you have.

Bottom line: Dress like you care! Your appearance is a reflection of your professionalism. So, let’s be intentional in the choices we make.

Well, do you agree or disagree with me on this subject? I certainly have rather strong opinions on this, but it comes from years of seeing women unfortunately undermine themselves professionally by presenting themselves in a less than professional manner, stylishly speaking. So, as I mentioned, think of your outward aesthetic as an extension of your personal brand. Make the mark you want to leave when you come into contact with someone.

Helena-Reet: MY JOURNEY TOWARDS BECOMING A BILLIONAIRE or How to join the world’s most elite group of people?

NordenBladet – In the world people are desiring the status of a billionaire instead of that of a millionaire – in order to belong to the top notch you must be a billionaire. There is one billionaire for every million people in the world. In 2014 the number of billionaires increased 7% and the elite list embraced 2325 people, in 2017 according to Forbes there were 2043 billionaires. How can you become one?

Lets have a wider look and dig into statistics – what does one need to become a billionaire?

Should you wish to become a billionaire, it is important that you have wealthy parents. About 45% of all the billionaires in the world have inherited their wealth. For example the Walton family that is thanks to Walmart one of the wealthiest in the world (it is estimated that their wealth amounts to 152 billion dollars) have inherited their wealth from Bud and Sam Walton who established the enterprise.

Wealthy forefathers are of help out won’t guarantee that you will also be wealthy. Should you wish to grow into the group of the world billionaires you must be a damn good businessman. 80% of the billionaires have gathered their wealth themselves, even when their start line was a set of wealthy parents. 55% of the world billionaires have attained the status of a billionaire completely independently.

Among the world billionaires there are 2039 men and 296 women – as you may see the male proportion is significant. 21% from the 296 women are widowers that have inherited their wealth from their husbands, 65% from the femaile billionaires have inherited their wealth in another fashion. As few as 35% of the women have established themselves among billionaires on their own – thanks to their initiative, talent, smart ideas.

Should you wish to be a billionaire you should be and remain married. Divorce will entail enormous expenses. According to statistics 89% of male and 65% of female billionaires are wed.

There is also statistics about the educational background of billionaires and their preference of universities. 65% of the billionaires have graduated from an American university, but what is still more surprising: 35% of the billionaires have not graduated at all – just 14% of the billionaires have an MBA and as few as 7% have a PhD degree.

What are the similarities between the world billionaires? Billionaires are world citizens and they often move their home or work to the location that is most beneficial for their business. A large proportion of world billionaires reside, are registered of do business officially in the following loctions: Liechtenstein, Bermuda, Luxembourg, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Singapore, Unted Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait and Norway. It is not surprising that honour and glory is attained abroad – no prophet is popular at home. Still, since a majority of world billionaires live in America, a large proportion is emerging in Southern America.

Who do billionaires get along with? How to make friends with a billionaire? Billionaires are people just like any other, but according to statistics each billionaire has at least nine super wealthy friends. How come they have those friends? Billionaires just like others bond like regular folks – they get along with childhood friends and acquaintances, with those who have similar interests or with people they went to school together. 68% of billionaires are keen on sports and healthy lifestyle. In order to understand somebody you must be on the same page – you must be interested in similar things.

When becoming a billionaire is your priority number one then what would be your priority number two? Correct, there is none! You must understand one thing – there is no such thing in the world as a free lunch – as few as 0,0000272% of the world population are billionaires and this mean you would need to sacrifice something. Mainly that would be your time – time spent with family and with the nearest and dearest. Both goals – spare time and a lot of spare money are not possible simultaneously – you either have a full time career or a full time family life. If you think you want both then you are living in a utopia. It can either be that you have no career or you have no family life – both will not be available, make sure to accept that.

But how come we still want to be big, powerful and wealthy – and as we say – FOR THE SAKE OF CHILDREN – we are doing everything for the sake of children, since everything will be theirs one fine day. I find myself thinking over and over again – exactly what it is then that will be theirs one fine day? Nervous wrecks with drinking problems who cover all the costs to own and maintain the titles „World’s most important”, „Scandinavia’s most well-known”, „The wealthiest”, etc, but who have sacrificed their health and family life for that success… I don´t believe we can find any child who is happy with such results. It would make them more happy when we held them close and said how much we loved them – when we did something together. To be honest with you I am not at all so sure anymore that I wish to achieve ANYTHING at all – should it happen that I died the day after tomorrow then I would prefer that my children would say that their time best spent has been the time spent with me. That they liked the most the way I used to comb their hair, how I praised them or how we were eating ice-cream together. I am now thinking about it… why is it that we get so anxious about the achievements that do not matter really so much? Why do we wish to belong in the group of those 2325 people that actually are very lonely – lonesome and sad. This, too, is the statistics – billionaires ARE lonely.

And still we wish so… There are people that wish… I belong to the group of people that wish. This is not merely the money and fame, it is power and the moment of victory that urges us – we are achievement-addicts.

We think and hope to be the exception, to be different – but the ending is the same – either we become billionaires or we have a family-life. Yet today we are so egoistic that we postpone thinking about it until some time in the future. We contemplate about us, thinking that global statistics and rules do not apply to us.

Parlor games for grown-ups! TOP 6

OHMYGOSSIP – There are two types of people: the ones who like to make childish jokes and also play games with grown-ups and another kind of people who think that playing is for kids and a party should be celebrated in a grown-up style.

For those, who like to undertake something exciting:
1. Word explaining in pairs
– Write several words on the pieces of paper, the ones that can be explained without using words (for example, massage, giving birth, waltz, accidents, domestic incident, etc.). Put the word labels into the jar.
– Each pair has to think of a name to their team.
– When a team has chosen a word that they have to pantomime, they will have about 30 seconds in the next room to prepare it. If they cannot agree on the pantomime, they have to improvise.
– The team that guesses the correct answer, will score a point. (An easy way to count the points: put a sheet of paper with the names of the teams on the wall and write the scores there!)

2. A birthday present (crowd favourite)
– Prepare a small gift. I wrapped up a lollipop. Then I taped five “layers” of paper around it giving various assignments. (I slightly taped a piece of paper with the task on the package and wrapped it up again; a new task followed and one more layer of paper around all of it and so on.)
– Music is playing, and the people in the circle have to pass on the present. Like playing a hot potato. When the music stops, the one who has the parcel has to remove one layer from it and has to complete the task.
– I gave quite challenging tasks, and people were absolutely ecstatic. When the last person opened the present and found the lollipop, the people were disappointed that the game was already over.
(The assignments I thought of were connected with the birthday girl/boy: preparing a birthday cake for a birthday girl/boy, dance the booty shake and so forth.)

3. Forgotten balloons
– Each person gets a piece of paper, a pencil, a balloon and a ribbon.
– Everyone has to write an activity (task) on the piece of paper and put it into the balloon. Then you should blow up the balloon and tie it up.
– Hereupon all the balloons should be taken out of sight, to the other room.
– When the people have forgotten the balloons, it is the right time for every person to pick a balloon from the other room.
– And then you break the balloons and start completing the tasks.
(My company was so curious that they could not forget the balloons and were constantly asking about when we are going to do something with these balloons, but the time flew and I forgot the other part of this game. So, before going to the club with the celebrants, everyone grabbed a random balloon. A part of the company carried out the tasks on the way and some even in the club.)

4. A publicity stunt
– You need a product (I used three similar articles of clothing.) for which every team has to do some diverse and silly publicity.
– Company should be divided into three and given 10 minutes to prepare.
– Bear in mind the question: “What can you do with the product, and what else can be done with it?”
– You can also use some other props.
– Every team member has to have one´s own role.
– The game is particularly interesting when all the teams unknowingly “advertise” the same thing.
– This game needs improvisation and courage. But if successful, you can all have a great laugh about the game. People’s fantasy is limitless…
(This was the last game we played because then people already had more courage.)

5. Truth or dare
– Prepare several questions and tasks and put them into two jars: “Truth” and “Dare”
– The jars go around, and every person has to choose from which jar he/she would like to take the slip. Thereafter, one should answer the question or carry out the task.
(When you have more time, all the people could participate in thinking of and putting down the questions and assignments.)

6. A birthday bingo
– All the participants will get a pen and a prepared grid (5×5).
– Everybody will take turns saying one word connected with birthdays and then everyone has to write the word into one’s grid (wherever he/she would like to). At the same time, bingo-master has to write all these words down on the pieces of paper and next he/she will put them, for instance, into a basket.
– When the grid is filled, the bingo-master will start drawing/shouting out the words from the basket. The person who gets five squares in a row will win!

Helena-Reet: Why I wish to live in the countryside and why glamor is out and nature in!

OHMYGOSSIP – Despite the fact that I live 15km from the town, in the little Murimäe village, where you can count the houses with both hand fingers, where a view from the window behind and in front of the house is hay land and forest the city is getting closer each year with uproar, vapor and motorways. Traffic and living environment are becoming more and more vibrant every year, and more accurate by the eyes of city planners, but unfortunately it also gets more polluted. However, I am moving both in reality and in the heart away from the city.

At the age of 20 I bought my first apartment – of course in the Old Town, right in the middle of everything – to Town Hall Square. At this age, I absolutely did not understand the people who wanted to live outside the city or hold on for it – in the countryside! Cafe-shopping-bars were supposed to be in the walking distance and in my opinion only a total fool or a poor who could not afford the Old Town/ City Center apartment wanted to live in the countryside. Life boils 24/7 and I am in the middle of it. I enjoyed this life for many years, and neither the noise nor the gray stone houses which surrounded me didn´t bother – on the contrary, I felt that life could not get any better! And at one point it did not get any better. Even in the middle of wealth and riches everyday arrives. At one point shopping doesn´t make you any happier – you have everything, multiple .. what´s next? Instead of 10 euro wine you drink 100 euro wine, instead of the 100 euro purse you wear 2500 euros bags, instead of 15 euros jeans you buy 700 euros jeans – believe me – the wine tastes the same way, the bag holds the same way, and the jeans, no matter how expensive does not make a big ass smaller (Hahaaa) and so on… at one point I discovered that I have everything. There was nothing in the stores that I would like to have, but I wouldn´t have already? But are you happy? Okay, let’s be honest .. Certainly happier than those who have never been there or had anything, but one moment you are tired of all of that and then there will be a setback. You have been struggling to live up to your expectations and suddenly you discover that this is not a life with the meaning. Life is not about to be rich. Even if this is the idea of life, then it will not automatically make you happy. The idea of life is not to be overloaded with things. You realize that the meaning of life is to live and living is nothing else than to acquire things. Living is a breathing in the same rhythm with nature, because only this kind of life will truly last. Such life is sustainable.

Why super rich Chinese business giants do not live in China, where the air is very polluted? Why wealthy Dubai´s citizens who waste millions euros every month are often drug addicts or lost the meaning of life? Because you cannot buy health and happiness! Money is not the key to satisfaction (although without money, there is often now satisfaction as well)! Health is a healthy environment, health is a pure food! Health is good nerves and normal lifestyle, healthy children and ability to love your life. Felicity and satisfaction are born in our heads, and for that you don´t need money. Pure nature and peaceful surroundings are sustainable, and those who appreciate it live, grow and develop with the nature – they live and blossom every spring!

Today, I look at life with a different look. What before was “a must” is now practically “out”. I carefully plan when I go to the city (of course I take the kids to school and back) but malls I visit maybe only once or twice a year. When I was younger, I was satisfied when I shopped a lot, today I am glad if I live almost without spending. The less things the better, the simpler the better, the more self-made, self-grown or re-processed (recycled) the better! Sometimes I look my Louis Vuitton bags in my closet and I laugh with a loud voice.. why people need bags which cost thousands and you can´t even carry them over the sholder? OK, let it be. Sometimes the madness of vanity rises its head and then I´ll use them but.. looking in big plan, my soul wishes more and more simplicity. 15km from the city is still a city – it can no longer be called as a village as years ago, even 30km from big cities ( Tallinn, Tartu) is still a city in Estonia. Why do I find more exciting small wooden farmhouse in “X” place in a deep forest with privacy and clean environment than big villa with stone pillars in the city?

I am so tired of glamor and technique that sometimes I want to cry. I do not know what bothers me more – tech, remote controls and wires or city people? Why a milk pipe in front of the gate, organic lifestyle, a gravel road, a country school with six students in a class, and leaving the house with a letter “Key under the carpet” feel like a dream? I do not want anything that anyone “would like to cherish”, I do not want any over valued material things – while I want clean air, untouched nature, fresh water from the river, wildlife, and peace. It seems to me that it would be a real wealth and a sustainable environment. I wish to drink birch and maple juice and grow my own food – potatoes-carrots-peas, etc. I believe that people who live in that kind of environment do not know what is depression or suicidal thoughts, they do not have panic attacks or the most important – they don´t have that feeling that you have too much of everything but you still don´t know what you really wish.

Should an ATOMIC BOMB explode in the vicinity: How to escape? Where to shelter?

OHMYGOSSIP – OHMYGOSSIP has compiled a synopsis for our readers – with the help of scientists and experts – about advisable action in the event of explosion of a nuclear bomb in the region. When you notice a sudden intense flash of light that can possibly blind your eyes, it is likely that an atomic bomb just exploded, this is in case its epicenter was within the range of 50 miles (80,5 km). Once you can look around again and unless you are feeling excessively calm, you may conclude that you are still alive.

Additional signs of explosion would be first to third degree burns, this is in case its epicenter was within the range of 16 kilometers. The trademark of the nuclear bomb is, as you may know, the mushroom-shaped cloud in the sky.

As soon as you have figured out what is going on, you should search for shelter to hide from radioactive dust. Try to find an edifice with thick walls, the thicker the walls the better.
For example: most suitable are buildings with thick concrete or brick walls and no windows, or underground shelters such as basements and cellars.

Hiding in that kind of places it is likely that the amount of received radiation is 0,5% or 1/200 from the radiation outside. The best option would be a bomb shelter, however that would not always be at hand.

Wooden constructions such as rack houses in modern residential areas do not guarantee significant protection from radiation. If you know a nearby building that would do and it will take you less than five minutes to make it there, it is worth the risk. Should it take already 15 minutes outside to reach the destination, then remain where you are for the next hour and then move to a better spot. This precaution is because the fall of radioactive dust will remarkably diminish by that time.

Once you are in a building with thick walls, make sure to keep away from doors and windows. If possible, take a shower or simply wipe the exposed skin with a wet towel, also uickly take off the contaminated clothes. Put the clothes in a plastic bag, close the bag and take it as far from where you yourself are as possible. While in a shower, use shampoo and soap, but do not rub or scratch the skin. Also, do not use conditioner, since it will glue the radioactive particles to your hair. When finished with the shower, also blow your nose and brush the eyebrows, eyelashes and ears, to remove as much of the remaining radioactive grime as possible.

Note that you should drink only bottled water and eat food from undisclosed containers, until the rescue team reaches you. As you wait there, you can listen to the radio in  order to learn about the relevant events and perspective of finding help.

Daily challenges only working moms can really appreciate

1. You’ve typically accomplished 25 things before 7:30 AM.
You’ve changed 1-2 diapers, brushed multiple sets of teeth, made multiple meals, gotten multiple people dressed and watched at least one cartoon or episode of Sesame Street. You have no idea what is going on in the world because your child won’t let you watch the news and you’re too busy making milk bottles to check your phone. There’s also a fairly good shot you’ve read a board book, colored, mashed Play-doh together and stepped barefoot on a Lego.

2. Every time you walk out the door, someone’s got a heartache.
You say your goodbyes to the kid, who either screams and cries like it’s the end of the world or, worse yet, completely ignores you and pushes you away when you attempt to kiss her good-bye. You spend the commute to work worrying about whether the crying kid is still crying, if you should just quit your job now or if you can perhaps come home early to spend more time with the crying kid, who most definitely stopped crying 30 seconds after you left.

3. Every moment of peace is quickly followed by torturous worry and/or guilt.
The morning flies by and for about 15 minutes, you indulge in a quiet cup of coffee at your desk followed by an uninterrupted trip to the office bathroom. This is, without question, the most relaxing part of your day because a small person will not barge in on your bathroom time or scream, “Mama!” repeatedly until you acknowledge her or let her watch you do your thing. Then as soon as you actually feel yourself relax, you worry about the 10 things you have to get done at work that morning so you can eventually get home on time. That’s when the guilt circles back.

4. You learn a lot of things about your kid from a secondhand source.
You hear about what your kid is doing from your nanny, your spouse or a friend who saw your kid at a music class or play date and sends you a text or a photo of your kid. Your heart immediately jumps into that text or photo and wants to be there, reassuring your kid that you love them to itsy bitsy pieces and just want to scoop her up and hug her to infinity. You spend the next hour worrying that you’re not spending enough quality time with your kid and that she’ll grow up to resent you being away so much.

5. It’s a serious challenge to spend quality time with your kid during the week.
On days where there are doctor appointments, the rare music class that you can attend or the opportunity to have dinner together, you race out of work, paranoid that even though you’re leaving a mere 30 minutes early, everyone is judging you for lack of dedication. Then you’re cursing the hurdles that are making your commute longer than normal. You can feel your pulse jump out of your neck with anxiety. How much longer until you can get there? Will you make it in time? When you finally arrive, you’re usually sweating, starving (because you skipped lunch so you could finish your work) and exhausted.

6. You’re a walking collage of kid excrement.
During one of your sacred office bathroom trips, you go to wash your hands only realize while looking at yourself in the mirror that you have milk, oatmeal or snot wiped across your blouse and it’s been there the entire morning while you’ve had multiple meetings with senior executives. You’re grateful that it’s not poop and regularly travel with hand wipes and miniature organic laundry spray to get stains out. Discovering that the arm of your black blazer is covered in dried glue is not that surprising considering you were wearing that blazer when trying to drop in on your toddler’s playgroup’s holiday art project during your lunch hour.

7. You’re a walking pharmacy.
Your oversized, bowling ball heavy work bag contains most of the following: a pacifier, organic pureed ready-to-eat pouches, hand sanitizer, wipes, children’s Tylenol with syringe applicator, a disposable bib, a hair bow if you have a daughter, your wallet which is open and been sifted through by tiny fingers, a few loose credit cards, a Lego or two, a board book, a diaper (hopefully a clean one, but a pee soaked one might make an occasional appearance) and two cell phones (one you use, and an old one you let your kid play with).

8. You always leave work feeling as if you’re not quite finished.
You’re consumed by the projects that you’re working on, but there’s always something tugging at your heartstrings like curiosity over what your baby is eating for lunch. How is she spending her day? Is she happy? Sad? Is she wondering where you are? Does she ask for you? Does she understand why mommy isn’t there? When you finally make the decision to pack up for the day and head home, you feel unaccomplished and stressed about everything that’s left to do. Then you get home and your second job starts. You don’t want to take a break because you haven’t seen your kid all day, but you’re exhausted.

9. You’re the worst date in the world the night before.
The day before an actual date night with your spouse, you go from being extremely excited for some quality time to worried about how much the babysitter and a dinner out will cost and whether leaving your kid at home so you can have a peaceful evening as a couple is even worth it. You finally learn to enjoy yourself with a glass of wine at dinner and realize that you need to do this more often. You’ll get lost in conversation with your husband, and if you can stop thinking and talking about your children for 5 minutes, you’ll find that you’re actually having a great time. It will seem like you just got there when you realize that it’s been 3 hours and your little night out with your husband that used to be free now costs over $100.

10. Your to-do list is literally neverending.
By the time you get home at night, you’ve been going strong since the early morning hours but there are a hundred other things to do in addition to spending time with the people you’ve been thinking about all day. You want to chase your kid around and read to her and stack wooden blocks and boxes and watch Bubble Guppies, but there’s laundry to do and bills to pay and dinner and mail and grocery shopping and the complete mess of a home you left that morning. You are very aware of the limited free time you have and have enough experience to realize that you’ll only accomplish a small fraction of your to-do list no matter how many hours there are in the day.

11. The kid(s) are finally asleep and you can barely keep your eyes open.
You consider it a victory if you make it through an entire episode of Homeland without falling asleep. You tell your husband that you’re, “just resting your eyes,” but he’s on to you and makes you go to bed. You don’t argue because you feel like a cross between a zombie, a mental patient, a great-grandmother and a master of all trades for having balanced another day as a working parent.

11 Healthy foods to help you feel full longer

OHMYGOSSIP — One of the reasons why people end up overeating or gain excessive weight quickly is because whatever they consume does not satisfy their hunger. Hence, they start eating more. Since it’s a human tendency to keep eating till the time the stomach does not feel full, we mostly focus on the quantity of the food, and not on the quality of it.
