Prince Harry 'has waxed his chest to impress Meghan Markle'

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry has been mocked by his friends for waxing his chest hair in order to impress Meghan Markle.
The 32-year-old British royal, who has been dating the ‘Suits’ actress since mid-2016, has reportedly got rid of the hair on his chest in order to please his girlfriend – but Prince Harry has subsequently become a figure of ridicule among his pals.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Harry’s been seen as a ‘man’s man’ all his adult life, so this has come as shock to his close friends.
“They all think his new grooming methods are to down to his desire to look his shiny best for Meghan.
“His chest is now like something you’d see from guys in ‘Baywatch’ – but without the tan.”
Meanwhile, it was recently claimed that Meghan could find it hard to maintain a long-distance relationship with the flame-haired royal.
The actress is poised to spend a sustained period apart from Prince Harry while she pursues her TV career in North America, and a ‘Suits’ insider has argued she will find it tough to deal with being separate from the royal.
The source said: “It will definitely be hard for her to do both ‘Suits’ and continue building her relationship with Harry.”
However, the duo could reportedly spend some quality time together at the Invictus Games, an international Paralympic-style multi-sport event, when it is held in Toronto, Canada, later this year.
A source said recently: “Harry has a lot on his agenda over the coming months but will be very hands-on with organising the Invictus Games. He will be working with the local organising committee to ensure that everything goes smoothly.
“He’s a huge fan of Toronto and has had nothing but support from everyone involved. Of course it will also give him a legitimate reason to spend more time with Meghan, he’s truly smitten.”

Prince Harry to attend England vs Scotland Rugby match

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry is to attend the England vs Scotland Six Nations rugby match at London’s Twickenham Stadium.
The 32-year-old royal is an ambassador of the England Ruby team and a massive fan of the contact sport and will be present at the event on Saturday (11.03.17).
Confirming his attendance at the game, a post on the official Kensington Palace Twitter read: “Prince Harry, patron of @EnglandRugby, will attend #RBS6Nations England vs Scotland match at Twickenham on Saturday #ENGvSCO (sic)”
The flame-haired hunk replaced his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, as patron of the Rugby Football League last year, and members of the RFL were thrilled with Harry’s new role.
Group Chairman and Member of Parliament for Leeds North West MP, Greg Mulholland said at the time: “The Group is delighted at the appointment of His Royal Highness as the new patron of the Rugby Football League.
“Prince Harry is a huge fan of sport, and of rugby in particular, and I hope that that he will rekindle the Royal Family’s involvement in Rugby League.
“Rugby league is a fantastic sport and one that is embedded in local communities, where it is of huge importance to people, and it is also a sport played in towns and cities across the country. I hope that the Rugby League authorities will be able to work closely with Prince Harry to encourage more young people to play the game, get active and stay healthy.
“I also look forward to once again seeing the Challenge Cup presented at Wembley Stadium by a member of The Royal Family.”
Harry is also the new patron of the Rugby Football Union, while his brother Prince William has taken over responsibility for the Welsh Rugby Union.
WRU president Dennis Gethin said: “We thank Her Majesty the Queen for her support over the years.
“We are delighted that the Duke of Cambridge will take over from his grandmother as patron of the Welsh Rugby Union.
“Since becoming vice patron in 2007, His Royal Highness has been a great ambassador, not only for the Welsh Rugby Union, but for young people and for sport generally.
“He makes a great difference to everyone he meets on his regular visits to Wales and to Principality Stadium, interacting with all kinds of individuals and groups including players past and present, volunteers, apprentices, veterans and staff.”
It’s not known if Harry’s girlfriend Meghan Markle, 35, will be present at the big game.

Princess Anne opens Elgin Youth Kitchen

OHMYGOSSIP — Princess Anne visited Elgin in Scotland on Monday (06.03.17) to open a new youth kitchen.
The 66-year-old royal unveiled a plaque at Elgin Youth Kitchen and spoke with volunteers about their plans for the small diner.
According to The Northern Scot, the Princess Royal said the kitchen was a “great idea”.
She also attended Gordonstoun School for a ceremony put on to mark the 50th anniversary of the Consecration of St Christopher’s Chapel.
Anne’s trip to the former cathedral city in Moray, Scotland is far from over as today (07.03.17) she will head to Elgin centre to learn about the ‘Castle to Cathedral to Cashmere’ project, which was set up to teach visitors the story of its buildings, past and present, and those who visited the town and of those who lived and worked in the town.
Anne has been spending a lot of time in Scotland of late and the current trip will no doubt give her plenty more fond memories.
In January, the royal’s yacht was repaired using a £20 fan belt from a Vauxhall Astra after the vessel broke down at sea off Scotland.
Celia, who runs a yacht charter business, previously explained: “A request was sent out and the good folk of Tobermory commandeered a Vauxhall Astra fan belt to set the royal engine to rights.
“She said it was a really good memory – she loves sailing around the Inner Hebrides.
“The Princess was quite amused the fan belt came off an Astra and was impressed by the resourcefulness of people here finding a way of getting something to work.
“When she came over to the Sail Scotland stand [at the Boat Show] she was not expecting a yachtswoman from [the Isle of] Eigg – her face lit up and told the story.”

Paul Burrell to wed

OHMYGOSSIP — Princess Diana’s former butler is to marry his male lover.
Paul Burrell – who was described by the late princess as her “rock” because of their close relationship – officially divorced wife Maria last year after 32 years of marriage, and it has now been revealed he is to tie the knot with Graham Cooper next month.
A spokesperson for Paul told The Sun newspaper: “I can confirm their forthcoming marriage.”
Paul and Maria had reportedly been leading separate lives for several years, and it is believed he and Graham, who are former business partners, have been in a relationship for 10 years.
But the 58-year-old former royal aide kept his sexuality a secret for several years, and for a long time the only person he had confided in was Diana.
The source said: “Paul’s friends and family all know but for a long time he kept it a closely guarded secret.
“And for a time, literally nobody knew.
“He did share it with Diana while he worked with her because they were so close.
“But at the time she was the only woman he felt he could tell.”
Paul – who has two adult sons with Maria, Alex and Nick – and Graham celebrated their impending nuptials with a joint stag party at a drag club in Blackpool, North West England in February, and will tie the knot in a circus-themed ceremony in the Lake District at the beginning of next month.
A source said they have invited a “limited” number of guests to witness the nuptials, which will take place at a five-star hotel with “stunning views”.
The insider added: “They want to let their hair down and enjoy themselves. Guests have a rough idea of where it will take place.
“But to increase the suspense Paul and Graham have kept the exact details of the venue quiet.”

Princess Diana was a 'proud ambassador of British fashion'

OHMYGOSSIP — Princess Diana was a “proud ambassador of British fashion”.
The curator of the new exhibition ‘Diana: A Fashion Story at Kensington Palace’, Eleri Lynn, says the late royal – who tragically lost her life in 1997, when she was involved in a fatal car crash in Paris at the age of 36 – was once hailed the “Sun Princess of Versailles” by Italian-born French fashion designer Pierre Cardin when she visited the Palace of Versailles in the French capital three years prior to hear death in 1994,
Lynn old PEOPLE magazine: “[She] was really well received.
“The couturier Pierre Cardin was at the event and said ‘We are at Versailles, the home of the Sun King, and now we have the Sun Princess of Versailles.’ Diana was a very proud ambassador of British fashion.”
Lynn previously shared how Diana used to refuse to wear a hat.
The late royal – the mother of Prince William and Prince Harry and former wife of Prince Charles – put loads of thought into her outfits and told her staff that she didn’t want a hat and gloves when she paid visits to children because she couldn’t “cuddle” with the accessory and liked to hold hands with people.
She said: “She often wore the same happy floral dress for hospital visits (memorable from a 1991 visit to a Sao Paulo shelter for abandoned children, many of whom were suffering from AIDS)… She called it her caring dress. You’ll notice she is not wearing gloves. That’s a royal protocol that she ditched because she liked to hold hands with people and make skin-to-skin contact. The original sketch came with a hat, but she didn’t wear a hat because she said, ‘You can’t cuddle a child in a hat.’ ”
‘Diana: Her Fashion Story’ was commissioned to commemorate Diana’s life on the 20th anniversary of her death in August 1997, at which time she left her now-grown-up sons Prince William and Harry without a mother.

The 29-year-old royal and the daughter of Countess Donna Paola Marzotto had their first child together last month, and have now confirmed to HOLLA! magazine that they’ve given him a moniker in tribute to Pierre’s late father, Stefano – who died in 1990 following a sailing accident – and is his mother Caroline, the Princess of Hanover’s former husband.
The little tot – who was born on February 28 – has been given the full name of Stefano Ercole Carlo.

Ken Dodd served jam butties at Buckingham Palace

OHMYGOSSIP — Queen Elizabeth served up jam sandwiches after Sir Ken Dodd was knighted at Buckingham Palace.
The 90-year-old monarch made sure Sir Ken’s favourite lunchtime snack, which is also known as ‘jam butties’, were available in a “regal round shape” with no crust at the bash to mark the 89-year-old veteran comedian’s knighthood.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, an insider at said: “The Queen is clearly a fan of jam butties and nobody realised she had her own regal jam butty mine until Sir Ken came to call.
“Her Majesty literally had her staff roll out the jam butties and they were dotted among the scones on every plate.
“Sir Ken has mined jam butties for decades, but was clearly tickled to be able to tackle round ones for the first time.
“If Prince William and Kate ever visit Knotty Ash with their children they are guaranteed a plate of jam butties – the traditional variety and the newly uncovered Royal round ones.”
Sir Ken – who hails from Knotty Ash in Liverpool in North West England – was honoured by Prince William for his dedication to his art and his charity work.
He found fame playing Diddy Men characters in the 60s and is known for his unruly hair and protruding teeth and his red, white and blue “tickling stick”, and quipped that he felt “highly tickled” to be knighted by the Duke of Cambridge.
He previously said: “Being a Sir is a curious feeling … I feel the same. But It’s lovely for my family and friends. I’m delighted and highly tickled.”
The celebrated performer became popular in the 60s in the UK with his recording of Tears’, which was the UK’s third-best-selling single back then, rivalling The Beatles.
He became an OBE in 1982, and is still seen touring the country with shows which are famous for going on well past the curtain call.
Talking about his passion for performing live, he said: “One of the happiest things is the joy and pleasure it brings to your family and friends and then you say to yourself it is a great honour and I just hope I’ll be worthy of it.”
And he has vowed to continue performing despite turning 90 in November.
He said: “I won’t hang up my tickling stick up, till I have to.”

Buckingham Palace repairs to be funded by government

OHMYGOSSIP — Buckingham Palace’s £360 million repair bill be footed by the government, a temporary committee of MPs have decided.
The Royal family will also reportedly benefit from their income being doubled after it took the group of politicians – named the Seventh Dedicated Legislation Committee – just 13 minutes to debate the funds being released.
The only party members to object against the decision was Tommy Sheppard and George Kerevan from the Scottish National Party.
According to Independent newspaper, Sheppard said: “We cannot support this decision and this statutory instrument being passed in this way.
“It is not a suggestion that Buckingham Palace is not a public asset of historic importance that deserved to be preserved.
“What we object is using a change in the Sovereign Grant to pay for an infrastructure project. If a major investment of £400m needs to be made, then that should be treated as a separate capital project.
“It would be similar to saying the works that needed to be conduced at the Palace of Westminster should be funded by doubling the salary of MPs and asking them to make a contribution.”
Works on the property, which was built in 1703, are expected to start next month and will see the royal residence’s refitted with 100 new electric cables, water pipes, electrical sockets, lights and thousands of new radiators.
Last year, Queen Elizabeth was urged to foot the bill for the renovations herself.
A petition of more than 100,000 people was signed demanding the 90-year-old monarch pay for the repairs, which will take 10 years to complete.
The campaign called 38 Degrees was headed up by Mark Johnson, who feels more money should be spent on education and health care rather than the upkeep of the royal residence in London.
He said: “There is a national housing crisis, the NHS is in crisis, austerity is forcing cuts in many frontline services.
“Now the Royals expect us to dig deeper to refurbish Buckingham Palace.”
Several MPs have also had their say on whether public money should be spent on the project.
Labour shadow business secretary, Clive Lewis said: “I think the Queen could contribute quite a bit towards that – she’s one of the wealthiest people in the country. Why not?”
A final decision is to be announced next week, with the SNP’s objections and a potential ‘deferred vote’ not expected to change the plan of action.

Princess Beatrice opens up about Dyslexia battle

OHMYGOSSIP — Princess Beatrice’s parents helped her overcome her battle with Dyslexia.
The 28-year-old royal has opened up about her struggles with the reading disorder and how her mother Sarah Ferguson would create a story about her father Prince Andrew when he was away working as a helicopter pilot in the Royal Navy and put it on tape to help her.
Beatrice – who was speaking to mark World Book Day on Thursday (02.03.17) – shared: “To help us feel close to him, my mother was inspired to create the Budgie the Little Helicopter series based on imagining the many adventures brave helicopter pilots would face every day. “To this day, these stories make me think back, with the fondest memories, to a time when books would take me into the best adventures and fill my mind with the best images.”
Still to this day, the bedtime story recordings are Beatrice’s favourite memory of growing up with her younger sister Princess Eugenie, 26.
She added: “If my parents ever traveled they would take time to record some of my favorite books on tape and I would listen to their voices as I fell asleep.
“[It’s] one of my favorite memories from storytime with my parents.”
Sharing how “hard” it was to be behind her school mates in English because of her dyslexia, she said: “Reading was really hard work, even trying to get through the pages of some of the simple school reading books.
“I could not understand why I was still reading behind my classmates. It was at this point that stories became one of the key things which inspired me.”
Despite her struggle with words, Beatrice believes being diagnosed with dyslexia is the “greatest thing” to have happened to her.
She previously said: “Being diagnosed with dyslexia was the greatest thing that ever happened to me because it allowed me to become part of this community of people that really are championing young people’s education and making sure that we protect our young people in school and in life.”

Ed Sheeran didn't know who Princess Beatrice was

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran had no idea who Princess Beatrice was when they first met.
The 26-year-old singer hit the headlines last November after he was reportedly struck by the 28-year-old royal as she was pretending to ‘knight’ fellow musician James Blunt at a party at the Royal Lodge in Windsor, but the flame-haired hunk has admitted the first time he spoke with Beatrice he was non the wiser that she was royalty.
He said: “I was chatting all night to this girl, telling her about my home and telling her about my family. Then in the morning I found out who she was.
“So I made friends with her from her just being nice. That’s like six years ago. So then we kept in touch.
“They are really, really sweet girls, I really like that family.”
While the ‘Shape of You’ hitmaker is great friends with Beatrice and her 26-year-old sister Eugenie – who are the grandchildren of Queen Elizabeth – he insists hanging out with royals and A-listers is not normal for him and he prefers to spend time with his pals at home in Suffolk, England.
He told The Sun newspaper: “My main friendship group is my Suffolk mates.
“I do find it crazy the type of people that want to hang out and I take every opportunity as it comes.
“But I also take every opportunity as if it is the last time it’s going to happen.
“I am a boy from Suffolk, my friends are people from Suffolk and eventually I will end up in that group and that will be me.”
Ed previously said taking the cut to the head hasn’t put him off hanging out with royalty as he recently said he’d “have a lot of fun” with Prince Harry.
Asked to name candidates for an imaginary squad, Ed said: “Harry Windsor, because I don’t really know him that well but I think I’d have a lot of fun with him.”
