OHMYGOSSIP — Jenna Coleman thinks there’s a “void” of good roles for women.
The former ‘Doctor Who’ star believes producers are slowly realising viewers are keen to see a “spectrum” of characters, and though progress has been made, she thinks there’s still a long way to go.
Speaking to the Harper’s Bazaar magazine, she said: “I think this year has proved there’s an active interest in seeing a spectrum reflected back at you, rather than a stereotype, and people at the top realising that will sell and that’s what people want. But I do think there’s still a way to go – if you’re not playing the young girl or the mum or the older lady, there’s quite a void in roles for women.”
Despite her own success, the 32-year-old actress – who is in a relationship with her ‘Victoria’ co-star Tom Hughes – thinks it’s important to take a step back from fame and appreciate some aspects of her life are not “real”.
She said: “I did a world tour with [‘Doctor Who’ co-star] Peter Capaldi, which is a hilarious sentence in itself, and we’d turn up in Rio de Janeiro or Mexico and there’d be screaming people. But you have to go into it knowing it’s not real, so you dip in and have this amazing life experience, I think that’s the only healthy way. I don’t think it’s a very normal thing to be on red carpets with photographers – you have to remove yourself a little bit.”
Jenna is very grateful to get to act for a living as she always knew that’s what she wanted to do from when she was a child.
She said: “from really early on it just felt right, it fitted. I loved to watch films and my head was always in books and stories. I just had to work out how to do it as my job.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Cara Delevingne is planning to slow down.
The 26-year-old-model and actress has both TV series ‘Carnival Row’ and movie ‘Fever Heart’ set for release next year but she’s planning to take a step back and wait for the right projects to come along, having previously signed up to most things she was offered.
She said: “It’s really important now what scripts I choose and to wait for the right projects. I’ve definitely got better with [saying no]. I think we all get better at that with age.”
The ‘Suicide Squad’ actress has spoken in the past about mental health and was one of the women who accused Harvey Weinstein of inappropriate behaviour, and she admitted she worries about what people think when she speaks out, but refuses to let fear hold her back.
She said: “There has definitely been a sense of fear of, ‘Am I going to get rejected?’ Or, ‘Are people going to think of me differently?’ When it comes to being more open about stuff or speaking out. But you have to remember that fear is something that holds you back.”
Cara loves speaking to women from all walks of life and recently admitted she finds their stories inspirational.
The model said: “Generally, women inspire me no matter what. The more you get to know every women, their story, strength and inspiration.”
And the British beauty couldn’t be happier that women are increasingly encouraged to speak out about their passions.
She added: “Now more and more women are finding a voice to stand up for what they believe in – the more vulnerability that is spoken about, the better.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Florence Pugh thinks it’s “virtually impossible” to find an actress who hasn’t been asked to lose weight for a role.
The ‘Little Drummer Girl’ star was told to shed the pounds when she first tried to find work in Hollywood and she admitted she finds the movie industry “scary” because of the ways “lines can get crossed”.
She said: “It would be virtually impossible to find someone who hasn’t been asked to [lose weight]. Part of what’s so scary is that in this industry you are expected to play dress up and so many lines can get crossed if you’re in the wrong hands.”
But despite her demoralising experience, Florence learned a lot from her stint in the US.
She explained: “I came away knowing exactly what work I did and didn’t want to do and that was a big, grown-up realisation.”
The 22-year-old actress has no interest in poorly-written female roles of little substance
She said: “I can’t stand characters who don’t know what they’re doing or why they’re there – if they’re just on their husband’s arm, it kills me.”
Florence also found working on ‘King Lear’ alongside Dame Emma Thompson and Emily Watson “empowering”.
She recalled: “During the Me Too breakthrough, I was hanging out with Emma Thompson and Emily Watson – two people I’ve looked up to my entire life. Talking to those women was so empowering.”
When it comes to her work, Florence looks for something familiar in the characters she plays.
She explained: “I always try to find something of my family or friends in a character because that’s how I get to know her.”

OHMYGOSSIP — John Barrowman has wanted to appear on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ for years.
The 51-year-old actor is looking forward to making friends and getting competitive in camp and he admitted it’s taken him until now to find the time to be on the show because he’s usually contracted to a pantomime over the period the programme takes place.
He said: “It’s taken me so long [to accept] because I haven’t really been available. This is the second time in 10 years that I haven’t done pantomime. I’ve watched I’m A Celebrity religiously for the last 18 years. Well, when I’ve not been on stage.
“I’ve really enjoyed it and I love the competitive aspect of it. I also love the possibility that I’ll walk out of there having some new lifelong friends.”
While John’s appearance on ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ came as a surprise to fans, he revealed he’d been in negotiations since the start of the year and agreed a deal before the summer.
He explained: “I went to a meeting with the executives at ITV at the beginning of the year, just after I’d finished panto, and we talked about it for 2018.
“I said I would think about it, so I discussed the idea with [my husband] Scott and I gave them my answer in May or June. I’ve known about this for a long time, but I haven’t told anybody.
“Anyone beyond my sister, Scott and my parents don’t know I’m going in. My friends don’t know I’m going in. I’ve kept it really, really quiet because I didn’t want anybody leaking it.
“Consequently, no one had any idea that I was the question mark that came up last week.”
One show the ‘Torchwood’ star had no hesitation in turning down was ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ once he realised he’d been approached to be a contestant, not the host.
He told MailOnline: “I have been asked to do ‘Big Brother’, but I thought they wanted me to present it rather than be in it.
“When they said I was going to be in it, I said, ‘F**k off! No way.’ I’m not in to shows where backstabbing and things go on where it’s detrimental to people and it hurts people.”
If there’s any backstabbing or bullying in the camp, John has vowed to be a “fixer”.
He said: “If I see somebody bullying or being rude or being detrimental or being an a****** to someone, I will stand up and stick up for them. I don’t want to see anybody speaking down to others.”

Amber Davies is “recovering” at home after being rushed to hospital on Friday

OHMYGOSSIP — Amber Davies is “recovering” at home after being rushed to hospital on Friday (16.11.18).
The former ‘Love Island’ star had been out with a friend at the Plough Inn at St Asaph, North Wales, but their evening took a turn for the worse after the 22-year-old beauty collapsed in the car park outside.
Staff at the pub called for an ambulance, and Amber’s mum Sue – who is a nurse – also came to her aid.
An onlooker told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “At about 11.20 she was walking up and down the car park with a guy.
“She suddenly hit the floor. She was completely unconscious.
“People came out of the pub to help her and put her in the recovery position.
“She was screaming like she was in agony.
“Paramedics were asking people if she’d taken anything. But no one saw her taking drugs.”
Amber was taken to the Glan Clwyd Hospital in Bodelwyddan and treated for around three hours before she was allowed home.
While an insider claimed the lingerie model believed her drink had been “spiked”, the bar manager insisted he had “no reason” to think there had been drugs on the premises.
The Plough manager Dafydd Jones said: “I have no reason to believe drugs were taken on the premises.
“I will be speaking to North Wales Police with regards to the incident.”
A spokesperson for Amber – who is believed to be dating Diversity dancer Perri Kiely, who wasn’t present on Friday – confirmed she’s now resting at home and expressed her gratitude towards those who had come to her aid.
The representative said: “She is recovering well at home and is extremely grateful to everyone who helped her.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Weller wants to duet with Robert Plant.
The ‘Changingman’ hitmaker is thinking ahead to his new album and has been in talks with the Led Zeppelin rocker to appear on a track, but his friend will only do so if the song is “out there”.
Asked if there’ll be any guests on his next album, he said: “It’s too early to say. I’d love to do a track with Robert Plant though. We’ve spoken about it. He says it would have to be pretty out there and I agree with him.”
The former Jam frontman hopes his next album will be “groundbreaking” but he’s unsure who he’ll enlist to appear on it as yet.
In an interview with the new issue of Uncut magazine, he explained “As you’re working on a song, it suggests someone’s voice or instrument or whatever. The song decides those things, much as they decide how the album is going to go. I want to do something really groundbreaking – but I don’t know if it’s possible any more. Maybe we’ve all learned too much.”
The 60-year-old musician – who has grown-up kids Natt and Leah from his marriage to Dee C. Lee, daughter Dylan with make-up artist Lucy Halperin, Jesamine, 17, and Stevie Mac, 13, with ex-girlfriend Samantha Stock and twins Bowie and John-Paul, six, and 16-month-old Nova with his wife Hannah Andrews – would like to get into the recording studio now but has put his plans on hold because of his family commitments.
Weller – who released his 14th studio album ‘True Meanings’ in September – said: “I’m at the demo stage. I’ve got eight pieces on the go – whether they’ll all make it or not, I don’t know. But I can’t stop writing … I’d be quite happy if I was going into the studio next week to start working on a new album but I can’t, for family reasons. So it’s about finding a balance. Trying to stay on the creative tip but at the same time, doing my family duties as well. It’s plate spinning.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jaden Smith has once again claimed he’s dating Tyler, the Creator.
The 20-year-old rapper – who is the son of Hollywood stars Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith – recently claimed to be dating Tyler and although Tyler appeared to deny the suggestion at the time, Jaden has now reaffirmed his original statement.
He told Apple Music’s Beats 1 Radio: “I recently said that Tyler, the Creator is my boyfriend, and that’s true. So, just so you know.”
Jaden initially appeared to make his new relationship public at Camp Flog Gnaw, where he lavished praise on Tyler and referred to the rap star as his “boyfriend”.
He said at the time: “I just want to say Tyler, the Creator is the best friend in the world and I love him so f**king much.
“And I want tell you guys something. I want to tell you. Tyler doesn’t want to say, but Tyler’s my mother f**king boyfriend, and he’s been my mother f**king boyfriend my whole f**king life. Tyler, the Creator is my f**king boyfriend. It’s true.”
However, Tyler seemingly rubbished the claim, shaking his head at Jaden’s comments.
Meanwhile, Jada recently revealed she “cried the whole way down the aisle” because she didn’t want to marry her husband Will.
The actress felt under pressure to tie the knot and her sense of unease was compounded by her difficult pregnancy with Jaden.
Jada – who married Will in 1997 – said: “I was under so much pressure being a young actress – being young, pregnant, I was just like, I didn’t know what to do. But I knew I never wanted to be married.
“My first trimester was horrible. And I was so upset that I had to have a wedding. I was so p***ed. I went crying down the freaking aisle, I cried the whole way down the aisle.
“I just never really agreed with the construct. I still don’t.
“Till death do us part is real for me, but all of the rules and all of the ideas. This title, ‘wife’, the accepted conventional definition of wife in the paradigm – I’m not that.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gerard Butler has hosted a fundraiser for victims of the California wildfires.
The 49-year-old actor recently lost his home in California to the devastating wildfires, but he’s quickly turned his attention towards helping to fund the rebuilding process throughout the Malibu community.
Gerard hosted a star-studded fundraiser – which was attended by the likes of Jamie Foxx, Sean Penn, Cindy Crawford, Minnie Driver, The Edge and Robin Thicke – for The Malibu Foundation on Friday night (16.11.18).
The foundation was actually created by a group of Malibu residents that included Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth.
Gerard hosted the event at another of his properties, where he explained to the attendees that it’s tough for parents in the local area to “explain to their kids what happened to their home”.
During his speech, Gerard said: “We’re here tonight to try and remedy that situation. Thank you all so much for coming.”
At one point during the evening, Sean Penn took to the stage and he praised the firefighters “who saved our homes” and “who risked their lives”.
The fundraiser was staged shortly after it was revealed that Gerard has taken in victims of the wildfires in California.
The ‘300’ actor previously said: “I’m OK, I just came from my property and it could’ve been worse. A lot of it’s damage, but to be honest I feel bad for … so many communities here that are trailer parks, suburban working-class houses that are completely destroyed.
“People have lost everything, and we have some of them staying at our house right now. It’s just really sad, you know, because people give their lives to get to a place like this. I’ve lost a lot of belongings, but I haven’t lost everything.”

Queen Elizabeth offers ‘deepest sympathies’ amid California wildfires

OHMYGOSSIP — Queen Elizabeth has offered her “deepest sympathies to the people of California” amid the ongoing wildfires across the US state.
The British monarch has revealed her “thoughts and prayers” are with the people in the American state, where wildfires have caused widespread devastation.
The Queen said in a statement: “Prince Philip and I offer our deepest sympathies to the people of California, who continue to suffer from the devastating fires across the state.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the victims, and to all those who have lost their homes and livelihoods. I pay tribute to the courage and dedication of the US emergency services and the volunteers that have provided support.”
California is also the home state of the Duchess of Sussex, who was known as Meghan Markle prior to marrying Prince Harry at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Chapel in May.
The Duchess lived in Toronto, Canada, during her time on the US TV series ‘Suits’, and she previously explained how the city reminded her of living in Los Angeles.
The Duchess – who retired from acting following her engagement to Prince Harry – said: “[Toronto] is like my home. At the onset, I didn’t know what to expect, but everyone has been so welcoming.
“The people are so kind, I love the food scene, and I really love exploring little nooks around the city with my two dogs.
“We’ll explore new ravines and jaunt through new areas. I love how much green space there is tucked away – you wouldn’t expect that, and it reminds me of LA in a lot of ways.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Roberts and her professional partner Pasha Kovalev have achieved the first perfect score of this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 37-year-old star wowed the judges with a spectacular performance at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom, where she was given the first score of 40 of the current series.
‘Strictly’ judge Bruno Tonioli heaped praise on Ashley’s performance, saying: “There are some performances that become part of ‘Strictly’ history – you did just that.”
And Shirley Ballas was similarly enthusiastic about their routine.
She said: “The whole thing was on form and fantastic.”
Another of the night’s most impressive performances was delivered by Joe Sugg, who achieved an overall score of 38, including three scores of ten.
In response to Joe’s performance with his partner Dianne Buswell, judge Darcey Bussell said: “That was a grand performance – oh my goodness, a classic Quickstep. That was a stunning dance.”
At the other end of the ‘Strictly’ leader board is Lauren Steadman and AJ Pritchard, who danced the Argentine Tango to ‘River’ by Bishop Briggs.
The duo failed to impress the judges with their routine and could only muster a score of 25.
Of their performance, Bruno said: “I love the determination you put in the dance … but it lacked a bit of fluidity and intimacy.”
Meanwhile, newsreader Kate Silverton and her partner Aljaz Skorjanec – who performed an American Smooth to ‘Everlasting Love’ by Love Affair – also failed to impress the judges in Blackpool.
The pair scored 30 and Craig Revel Horwood was underwhelmed by their routine.
He said: “I thought it lacked a little bit of energy.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West says he’s building a fire-proof community.
The 41-year-old rapper – who is married to reality TV star Kim Kardashian West – has responded to the devastating wildfires in California by revealing he plans to build a community that can tackle the blazes.
Kanye – who has attracted criticism for his outspoken views throughout his career – tweeted: “Building a fireproof community (sic)”
Various celebrities have seen their houses destroyed by the wildfires in California, including Robin Thicke.
The ‘Blurred Lines’ singer recently revealed there’s “nothing left” of his home after it was caught in the wildfires.
He said: “It’s funny, [from what] you see movies, you’d think there would be one doll left over, or a book of course, something. [But] it’s just rubble. There’s nothing left.”
The 41-year-old musician spoke of the “devastation” that his community is facing in the wake of the fires, but said there was still “hope”, as many of the homes in the area were still standing.
He added: “It’s a great community, it’s a community of wonderful people, a lot of parents whose kids go to the same school as my kid. It’s just devastating.
“Coming back here, there’s a lot of hope. I see how many homes are standing, [there are] a lot of positive things that a lot of people who had to evacuate don’t know.”
Despite the devastation, Robin and his pregnant girlfriend April Love Geary – who already have eight-month-old Mia together – plan to have their house rebuilt.
He said: “A lot of homes are still standing. Ours didn’t make it, you know … sometimes it happens.
“We love this area, we love the people here, we love this neighbourhood. Luckily, some of the property is still intact, you know, [it was] just the home.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been leaning on his ex-girlfriend Cassie for support after Kim Porter’s death.
The 49-year-old hip-hop mogul has been left feeling heartbroken by news of Porter’s death, having dated the model on and off for several decades and having had three kids together, and Diddy has turned to Cassie for comfort.
Diddy and Cassie, 32, ended their high-profile relationship last month, but E! News spotted a solemn-looking Diddy alongside the singer shortly after Porter’s death was announced.
A source said: “Cassie reached out to Diddy, sending him a text message checking up on him and expressing her condolences.”
Diddy – who had son Christian, 20, and twins Jessie James and D’Lila, 12, with Porter – has been left crushed by the news.
Even though they were no longer dating, Diddy remained “very close” to the 47-year-old model and they were “still a family”.
A source previously said: “Diddy is devastated and shocked.
“He and Kim were still very close friends and co-parents even though their romantic relationship didn’t work.
“They were still a family.”
Porter was found dead at her Los Angeles home on Thursday (15.11.18), after suffering from “flu-like” symptoms for weeks, and the police subsequently confirmed there was “no foul playing” surrounding her passing.
Rihanna has also been hit hard by the news of Porter’s death, describing the late star a “special soul”.
The Bajan singer wrote on her Instagram account: “we lost a real one today, beautiful inside and out. so many will be affected by this, some won’t even know why…but the whole world was graced by the vibrance in your spirit. My deepest condolences to the ones that were blessed enough to know, meet, and love her! Such a special soul man! This don’t even feel real! May God comfort and protect her children and loved ones! RIP @ladykp (sic)”

The 37-year-old actress has come out in support of Jessie – who recently started dating her ex-husband Channing Tatum – after the British singer bemoaned being compared to Jenna in an Instagram post.
Responding to Jessie’s original message, Jenna posted on Twitter: “Amen Jessie! Yes!!!! Women for women all the way. No need for negativity. Let’s live in a world where we support each other and raise each other up. Like I said before, positive vibes all the way. Nothing but respect [heart emoji] (sic)”
Jenna has a five-year-old daughter called Everly with Channing, and the pair have retained a healthy relationship since their split.
The high-profile duo revealed they’d separated in April, saying in a joint statement: “We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple. We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together.
“Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now.

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel B was the driving force behind the Spice Girls reunion, according to the star’s former nanny.
The 43-year-old singer recently announced plans to reunite with her former bandmates Mel C, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell for a long-awaited comeback, with Rusty Updegraff claiming Mel was determined to persuade the other girls to return.
Rusty – who spent eight months living and working with Mel – shared: “Mel said she told them, ‘You’re the ones who need the money – not me.’
“Mel told me she talked them round and at that stage even Victoria was going to do it. Mel was overjoyed when she got home and announced: ‘I got them – they’re all on board.'”
Victoria Beckham is the one member of the original line-up who will not be reuniting with her former bandmates.
And Rusty suggested that Mel’s supposedly blunt approach may have contributed to her decision.
He told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “I don’t know what happened with Victoria.
“Mel likes to be in control so that may have caused issues. I’m happy for her that the Spice Girls are reuniting – I hope she uses that as a springboard to get her head together.”
Mel split from her ex-husband Stephen Belafonte in acrimonious circumstances in 2016 and they divorced the following year, with Mel accusing the producer of being abusive towards her.
Despite this, Rusty thinks Mel remains in love with her ex-husband and has accused the British star of being “obsessed” with him.
Rusty said: “I wish someone would call her out because in my mind Mel is still in love with Stephen.
“Secretly I believe Mel is lost without him, but I cannot imagine he would have her back.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Cheryl will “move on” with her life if her musical comeback is a flop.
The 35-year-old singer – who has a 19-month-old son called Bear with her ex-boyfriend Liam Payne – has revealed that motherhood has transformed her outlook on life, meaning she now measures her success by happiness rather than by record sales.
Asked about her comeback single ‘Love Made Me Do It’, Cheryl – who split from Liam earlier this year – told the Guardian newspaper: “If it goes in at 80, it’s time for me to move on with my life. I’m not going to jump around working hard and spending time away from my son for that.”
Cheryl first found fame as part of Girls Aloud, the pop group created through ITV’s ‘Popstars: The Rivals’.
And the brunette beauty admits that her life could easily have gone down another route had she not joined the band.
Cheryl – who was born in the city of Newcastle in North-East England – confessed: “One of my friends is now a primary school teacher, another friend moved away and had a family, but some just went down the line of drugs and unemployment. The area had the highest unemployment rate in the UK two years ago.”
Meanwhile, Cheryl recently revealed she’s been seeing someone in the past year to keep her anxiety “in check”.
But the British star also insisted that her previous worries have now become “less relevant”.
She said: “I used to have anxiety – [I’ve] been seeing someone in the past year to keep that in check – I don’t want to be stressed as a mam or a pop star.
“We’re supposed to be living our best lives, aren’t we? Stresses I used to feel are less relevant.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Demi Lovato is following a strict fitness regime as she continues to work on her sobriety.
The 26-year-old star was rushed to hospital in July after taking a drug overdose, but Demi has since been in rehab and is focused on her health.
A source told E! News: “She’s been working out with a trainer several days per week, eating right, and truly has a whole different mindset.
“She has been following all of the steps and guidelines put in place by her specialists.”
Demi also had a stint in rehab at the age of 18, having battled various issues during her teenage years, including depression and an eating disorder.
But the American star is now determined to spend some quality time with her mother, while she’s also been having mandatory check-ins with doctors.
What’s more, Demi has been spotted several times with designer designer Henri Alexander Levy – although an insider has denied speculation they are dating.
The source explained: “Demi wants to be around people who are like-minded and Henri is good energy for her.
“They spend a huge amount of time together but Demi is not focused on dating. Demi is very focused on her health.”
Meanwhile, an insider recently claimed that while Demi is doing everything she can to remain healthy, she has found her recovery to be a “struggle”.
The source said: “[Demi] is in a really great place, but she’s doing everything she can to maintain that because she knows every day is a struggle.
“Demi is taking a cautious approach with her recent exit from rehab. She has a sober coach, she is working out and eating healthy, surrounding herself with positive influences … and splits her time in a sober living facility and at home.”
